legend last night. the rock steady club' in oakland held a party in his honor. fans packed the venue to listen to prince songs. happening today: a massive sinkhole is expected to be filled in -- and roads reopened -- in san francisco. >> marty:the sinkhole opened up on sacramento between lyon and baker streets thursday. this is video --- it happened after a large sewer line broke beneath the street. they do not know why the pipe broke. but officials say it is over one hundred years old. happening now: we are still waiting to find out why one bart's *new multimillion dollar train car crashed during a test. this is video from our helicopter partnership with abc7 news. the train ran off the tracks into a pile of dirt yesterday. kron4's charles clifford has what we know so far. >> reporter:just before 2pm friday, one of bart's brand new train cars overshot the end of a section of test track in hayward by several feet and crashed into a dirt pile. this is video of the accident from our helicopter partnership with abc 7. the accident apparently occurred while bart train operators were being familiarized with the new train system and the new train cars. it's unknown if the accident was the result of human error or some type of mechinal

problem. bart says that at the time of the accident the train was only travelling between 5 and 10 miles per hour and that no one was injured. it's unclear exactly how many people were on board at the time or if the train suffered any damage. after the accident the car was still partially on the tracks and maintenance crews were able to pull it off the dirt pile. each of bart's new train cars costs about 2 million dollars. the first one was delivered earlier this month. bart hopes to have ten of the new cars in service by the end of the year and 775 of the the new trains up and running within 5 years. a warning if you plan on taking bart today in the east bay. the tracks are closed this weekend between the bayfair and san leandro stations. a bus is available -- but bart says expect 30 to 60 minute delays if you use it.

this is just one of several weekend closures planned in the next month. it's so bart can preform maintenance. breaking news: north korea has fired what appears to be a ballistic missile off a submarine. this is just the latest artillery to be fired -- in an apparent protest against ongoing military drills between the u-s and south norea. the north has also been facing tougher sanctions after it tested a nuclear weapon back in january.

a rowing coach is under fire for reportedly failing to report the alleged sexual assault of a female athlete. details haven't been released, but there are reports that the student told her coach, mike teti, that she was assaulted by another member of the crew team. she claims the coach didn't report it immediately which is a violation of school policy. the university says it's hiring an outside party to investigate. coach mike teti reached out to kron 4 saying quote the allegations are false. i am confident the investigation will prove they have no merit." police in san mateo are searching for a man suspected of burglarizing a home. it happened along eaton road near virginia avenue. the homeowner heard noises from inside his house and left his bedroom to confront the suspect. this is surveillance video of the suspect. who ran out of the house.the homeowner chased him but he got away. police say the suspect took off with some jewelry. he is described as a latino wearing a baseball hat, light- colored jacket and jeans. investigators are looking to see

for your health: here is a look at some of the big medical news this week. the san francisco health department has confirmed the city's second case of the zika virus. health officials say a pregnant woman contracted the virus while she was in south america. she's currently not showing symptoms - but she's being closely monitored. there's still no known treatment for the virus. health officials still insist there's no risk to the general public. the first case of zika in the bay area was confirmed in february. that person had traveled to central america and has fully recovered. living closer to nature could help women live longer. that's the result of a study by researchers at "brigham and women's" hospital and the harvard school of public health. they say there is a link between the amount of vegetation around homes and significantly lower death rates among women. they found that women living in areas with a lot of greenery had a 12-percent lower mortality rate compared to those living with little vegetation around them. they studied data from more than 100-thousand women in the u-s, over an eight-year period. they compared the number of deaths in that group by satellite imagery -- analyzing the different levels of plants nationwide. still ahead. hillary clinton and donald trump trying to secure their parties presidential nomination. five states vote on tuesday.
