confirmed what we have already reported that 3- officers have been place on adminstrative leave in connection to these allegations. \ >> reporter:opd officials say in addition to the i.a. investigation, there is also acriminal investigation into the alleged sexual misconduct. >> reporter:at opd headquarters in oakland haaziq madyun kron4news. >> vicki:tonight we are learning new details about the victim in a deadly shooting on highway 4 in pittsburg. kron 4's charles clifford just talked to police and joins us live from pittsburg tonight. charles? >> reporter: yesterday's shooting and his work was the fifth highway shooting since november. we are learning details about the female victim in this case. let's let her picture. at the contra costa county coroner's office. she died of eight single shot to the torso. she may have been pregnant at the time of her death but that love was shot

held a news conference today.to talk about their recent hunger strike. they also addressed what they still have planned in their protest against deadly police shootings. catherine heenan is here with the latest developments. >> catherine:the so-called frisco five say they've all suffered health problems from that 12 day hunger strike. >> catherine:in fact only four of the five showed up for today's news conference outside san francisco's mission police station. >> catherine: they were surrounded by supporters.all part of a larger group - demanding that police chief greg suhr be fired. they say they'll 'escalate' their protests and are planning for a community meeting saturday. >>they also have mayor ed lee should 'not' continue to stand behind the chief.and also needs to go. >> i have been looking at this like a coach. harbaugh was fired. and he was a great coach because his players are not playing the game right. so then you will have to go. >> i cannot believe that we are still behind the chief

after the finals. the supervisors acted very late and our health take the consequences for that. >> catherine:the frisco five say they're convincing more people to support them. that includes four members of the board of supervisors who are now calling for chief suhr to step down. >> catherine:a blue ribbon panel review of the police department was released monday.showing major problems in the department, including oversight, racial bias and accountability. >> grant:we now know the identity of the man who was arrested wednesday in connection with a homicide investigation. it started with a shooting in the santa cruz mountains. and ended when the suspect was chased down on a south bay freeway. >> grant:after speaking with the authorities and neighbors, kron four's rob fladeboe brings us up to date on the story. >> reporter:crime scene investigators are still gathering evidence in connection with a string of events that began wednesday morning here at this home on madrone avenue in redwood estates, where someone called 911 to report

a shooting. >>sgt. james jensen/s.c. co. sheriff's dept. -- it is still a developing case. an ongoing investigation with two different crime scenes. it is a complicated case because we do have multiple witnesses and victims plus, a suspect in jail. >> reporter:that suspect would be this man, 43-year- old andre redmon, of san francisco, who is now in the county jail facing two counts of murder. he was arrested, as we see in this video from abc 7, after crashing his car on highway 17 in campbell after being chased down by deputies. a wounded man in his car later died. as for a motive for the violence? >> sgt. james jensen -- it is undetermined at this point of what caused the violence we are still talking to various victims and witnesses. >> reporter:when deputies arrived at the redwood estates home, they found a man who had been shot to death and another man was wounded and a third man treated at the scene and released.

>>alice hoagland -- it is just tragic. >> reporter:a still shocked alice hoagland, who lives nearby and knows the people who live in the home where the shootings occurred says there are bloodstains on the street and shared what she has learned. >>alice hoagland/neighbor-- apparently those two fellows drove up here and park their car above the crime scene near the restaurant. and what downhill to the house. and, that is when the confrontation happened. >> reporter:in addition to murder, andre false imprisonment, kidnapping in the commission of a robbery and burglary. >> reporter: in redwood the state's kron 4 news, rob fladeboe.

>> vicki:a correctional deputy with santa clara's sheriff's department accused of a child molestation is set to be arraigned this afternoon. >> vicki:33 year-old anthony felix diaz is facing two felony counts of child molestation for alleged sexual abuse of a 9-year- old-girl. >> vicki:police heard of the molestations on monday.which reportedly happened four years ago while diaz was off-duty. he is also being charged with misdemeanor child endangerment involving another victim from earlier this year. >> vicki:diaz has been booked into santa clara county jail and is on unpaid administrative leave. need to make a mug of this guy. which we have. >> vicki:need to watch the wires.since he will be in court. >> vicki:a high-risk sex offender is released from prison.and will be living on a popular fairfield street. 79-year-old juarez demetris is now on supervised

parole. >> reporter: justin focused on a 13 year old girl and she would not go along with him he kidnapped her. as she was walking to catch bart for school. >> drive up and yelled out of his car and then he grabs her and says you are coming with me. >> reporter: he would sit right over here creek at a bus stop and watch across the street to make sure that she was doing what he said or else. >> use this as a part of this threat. >> reporter: he kidnapped the young girl twice and made her do sexual acts with strangers. the girl was overheard talking at school about him. he was eventually

charged. this case, highlights a bigger problem in the san francisco bay area. it is one of the fbi's top spot in the nation for child sex trafficking. >> reporter: that is why they are launching a human trafficking campaign to increase awareness. >> mom would call you a hero for what you did. -- some would call you >> the father used would say if this was my daughter how would i feel? i wonder how is she going. and how it will affect her in the long run. --being a father

boy involved has been arrested and suspended. a brief video of part of the confrontation is on a local news website -- called 'claycord'. >> catherine:we've blurred the identities of those involved - and it's hard to see much. but concord police say this is what happened after a teacher told the student not to go into the gym. >> catherine:police say the student got angry and punched the teacher.who ended up with a bloodied face. that teacher -- wearing shorts - eventually gets the teenager on the ground and the video stops. >> catherine:the 15-year-old was arrested for felony assault on a staff member then released to his mother. the teacher is on administrative leave during an investigation. >> catherine:the student has been suspended for 5 days and could eventually be expelled. the school district has contacted parents to tell them what happened. >> catherine:vicki and grant? >> vicki:yes, that was crazy. >> vicki:a world-war-two era

canon that was stolen on sunday has been found. now police are looking for the thieves. authorities received reports that the inoperable canon was towed away from the veterans memorial hall in richmond. >> vicki:this happened in the early morning hours on sunday. then earlier this morning.they found the 5- foot iron and brass antique.all the way in martinez. the canon hadn't been moved from the veterans hall since 19-47. >> vicki:now they are working on getting it back as they investigate who is responsible. no arrests have been made in the case. >> vicki:san francisco's second attempt at trying to place a tax on sugary drinks has failed.even though they got more than enough signatures in support. at a press conference this morning.backers of the tax were expected to announce they had enough signatures to put the measure on the november ballot. >> vicki:but the elections director says the campaign missed the deadline.by just one day. more than 18-thousand people signed in support.well over the only 95-hundred needed. >> vicki:backers who hoped to take down "big soda" two years after a similar effort failed. have been derailed once again. >> vicki: grant?
