both directions between san pablo avenue and san pablo dam road in parts of richmond and san pablo are now open. it was closed from 11:00 last night until 7:00 this morning. the contra costa transportation authority says the closure helped make way for a new pedestrian overcrossing on riverside avenue. when completed, the new overcrossing will extend across amador street, making it safer for riverside elementary school students and the community. cal- trans says the overcrossing will open this fall. breaking news from overnight out of iraq. isis is claiming responsibility for a deadly attack, just north of baghdad. it happened at a natural gas plant. at least seven police officers are dead, and two dozen more people are injured. >> marty:two suicide bombs went off at the plant -- one at the entrance, and another inside the facility. six isis militants then tried to storm their way in, but security forces were able to hold them off. "i would say by their personality, yes, they were probably taking over by an africanized bee hive."

killer bees in the east bay. now, a concord homeowner says he has the colony under control. this comes after the bees killed two small dogs and sent two people to the hospital. kron 4's kate cagle went out into the swarm to show us why these bee's are so dangerous. >> reporter:only an expert can say for sure whether or not these are africanized killer bees. e ac but i spoke to multipe bee keepers today who say they sure act like it. let's just get straight to it. this is marcin wojcikowski and this is the moment he gets stung by an africanized killer bee. after four generations of bee farming in polandone sting is nothing. but multiple stings form a hive of about 80-thousand relentless beescan be deadly. "because the target is your eye mouth nose and ear" so when i went out into the swarmi wore the full bee keeper suit. covering my entire body and face.

"because it's dangerous right? for you. not for me." police say the swarm is from the hive of an amateur bee keeper he went to the hospital after opening the bee box and finding a different kind of swarm. the homeowner then destroyed the hive. now the bees are swarming everywhere. marcin says movementdraws the bees to you. "so if i moved much faster they would start stinging me like crazy. out at his bee farmthings are much calmer. "nothing" africanized bees are new to the bay area - but marcin says he's been dealing with them since 2014. as an experthe says the key is the queen. replace an africanized queen with an english or italian. her eggs will slowly turn the hive back to normal. that process takes about a month. but once the hive is in disarray like this onemoving it may be difficult. bees do calm down at night it is now safe to stand outside.

the victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. the person's car is described as a black s-u-v. if you have any information about the case.contact morgan hill police. a wildfire in washington state charred about 325 acres of land owned by the u-s forest service. the fire is burning about 45 miles north east of seattle. fire crews in the county put people in the area on an evacuation notice. no homes are destroyed so far. right now the fire is not increasing in size. fire crews say that's because winds have died down. in national news. 11 people are in the hospital this morning after a crash near a disney theme park in orlando. police say an s-u-v going the wrong way crashed head-on into a bus. and both burst into flames. eight people on the bus, and three people in the s-u-v, including a child are in the

hospital. police say their injuries range from minor to serious. a tense standoff in sacramento ended with the arrest of an armed suspect. he surrendered after a six hour standoff with police. at one point, officers say the man threw a pipe bomb at them. police believe the stand off because of a domestic dispute. sacramento police confirmed no one was injured during the standoff. it's unclear what charges the man could face. in the east bay. a local school held a summit to inspire young girls to take on leadership positions. oakland's "julia morgan school for girls" had about 100 middle and high schoolers take part in the event yesterday. organizers say the goal of the summit is to have teens band together and pressure congress to pass the equal rights amendment. the event was inspired by the united state of women summit.which will be at the white house next month.

front of him first merged into the right turn lane, then suddenly veered left. sot- "i could see him pulling out and i could see the car didn't see me, and he was right there and it was just smash." >> reporter:doyle flew into the air and fell flat on his back. sot- "when i landed, there's a moment when you're in the air, that was a total blackout. when i landed, i was like, 'holy , i'm awake, you know, i'm, i'm, this is good." keeping things in perspective though. doyle says if he was gonna get hit, it might as well have been by a cop. because at least the officer called for an ambulance immediately. sot- "cyclists get nailed all the time and nothing happens." >> reporter:when questioned by san francisco police on the way to the hospital. doyle says he was asked if the officer's turn signal or emergency lights were on, and said he didn't know. the dash cam video appears to show the officer didn't activate any lights. the police department says it is conducting both a traffic collision and supervisory investigation into the crash.

doyle says he is not at all upset with police. but is considering legal action. sot- "i've been emailing back and forth and i think i'm going to meet with an attorney on monday." then, hopefully put this all behind him. sot- "i'm ready to heal up and take it easy out there." in san francisco, philippe djegal, kron four news. >> marty:more big news we are following out of texas. eight people are dead and 44 hurt after a charter bus rolled over and crashed on a texas highway. this crash is condsidered one of the deadliest bus accidents in texas in the last several years. authorities say the charter bus veered off the highway-83 near laredo after the driver lost control. the bus driver is believed to be among the injured. the crash happened in south texas, near the mexican border. it was headed to a casino. it was raining at the time of

dangers facing the c-h-p trying to stop the sideshows. >> stanley:sitting in the marin area chp garage is this suv cruiser with the rear window smashed out it also has a broken tail light and dents all around it also covered in shoe prints nats: ambiance it all happened here on the corner of 106th and macauthor in oakland this lone chp cruiser with two officers in side is taking the brunt of an angry shdeshow crowd this video was sent to me anonmously via facebook i posted it on face book and close to hafl a million views later i am finally able to piece together what actually happened nats: ambiance if you watch the video you will see people kicking throwing beer bottles at the cruiser, and one thing you won't notice unless you look closely at the video here let me show you the chp unit with officers inside was basically ambushed by spectators .how do i know .take a look at here lets stop the video you see the traffic light at 106 ave it was green and green for a long time that the suv could have moved instead it stayed put witness say it was done to intentially block the cruiser the california highway patrol confirmed .the suv did in fact block the path of the officer

his house when he saw a woman stealing a package from his porch. he decided to confront the thief.and videotape it. he then posted the video to social media. it didn't take long for the video to go viral. after being caught red-handed, the woman didn't show any remorse. the alhambra police department posted the video to its facebook page. they got several tips identifying the thief as a 20- year-old woman. she has been arrested and denies the charges. one of the guitar's that belonged to music legend prince will be auctioned off in beverly hills. a uniquely shaped bright yellow guitar that prince used to perform some of his hit singles has an opening bid of 30- thousand dollars. the auction begins on june 24th. and may feature more guitars from the " purple rain" star. >> marty:other prince items at the beverly hills auction will inculde record sales plaques and original demo tapes. prince was found dead at the age of 57 on april 21st at his recording complex in minnesota.

these are africanized killer bees. e ac but i spoke to multipe bee keepers today who say they sure act like it. let's just get straight to it. this is marcin wojcikowski and this is the moment he gets stung by an africanized killer bee. after four generations of bee farming in polandone sting is nothing. but multiple stings form a hive of about 80-thousand relentless beescan be deadly. "because the target is your eye mouth nose and ear" so when i went out into the swarmi wore the full bee keeper suit. covering my entire body and face. "because it's dangerous right? for you. not for me." police say the swarm is from the hive of an amateur bee keeper he went to the hospital after opening the bee box and finding a different kind of swarm.

with his police car. this is *new dash cam video from a car in the area at the time. which shows us part of the collision. kron four's philippe djegal spoke with the victim, who says he has no ill-will towards the officer. but is still considering legal action. sot- "how are you doing? uh, could be better, could be worse." >> reporter:a bit banged up. sot- "basically a shin injury and a back injury with a bone and a couple of ribs are either bruised or semi-fractured." >> reporter:timothy doyle says it might be a while before he can ride his bike again pain- free. and, this dash cam video of the crash captured by a passerby thursday evening shows you why. headed south on second street towards mission street, you can clearly see doyle riding in the designated green bike lane. when the officer riding in front of him first merged into the right turn lane, then suddenly veered left. sot- "i could see him pulling out and i could see the car didn't see me, and he was right there and it was just smash." doyle flew into the air and fell flat on his back. sot- "when i landed, there's a moment when you're in the air, that was a total blackout. when i landed, i was like, 'holy , i'm awake, you know, i'm, i'm, this is good."

according to the california highway patrol the two officers was part of special detail sent to oakland from multiple offices to assist with sideshow enforcement the chp, oaakland police and other agencies are banding together in an attempt crack down on these illegal sideshows neither officer was not injured but the cruiser as you can see was heavely damaged. the chp is following up on leads and the dash camera installed in every cruiser yieled a lot of information nats: ambiance the chp says they have yet to add up the damage to this new cruiser. but based on other repair jobs it could end up costing you the tax payer upward to 12 thousand dollars nats: ambiance in oakland stanley roberts kron 4 news >> marty:package theft is an increasing problem and one man in los angeles, who was sick of his deliveries being stolen, did something about it. the man was parked in front of his house when he saw a woman stealing a package from his porch. he decided to confront the thief.and videotape it.
