we are taking this look outside of the bay bridge this morning. good morning everybody. happy pride weekend. welcome to kron four news weekend. i'm marco gonzales. it should be pretty warm this weekend. >> it will be warm and beautiful. beautiful weather on tap for this weekend, especially if you're headed into san francisco for the pride celebration. it will be perfect weekend with temperatures nice income people in the city. basically in the 60s. here are some temperatures as of right now. we can see a lot of 50s around the bay area. things are on the cooler side

right now. 53 in santa rosa. 50 right now. 53 in santa rosa. 54 nevada. 60 oakland. 64 concorde. 46 in hassle bay and six daily in hayward. the afternoon high around 3:00 will be getting warm. we will see a strong 66 in san francisco. 62 in half moon bay. 88 expected for nevada. 97 in fairfield. it will be hot. 95 expected in concorde. 93 livermore and 89 expected in san jose. i will let you know what the entire weekend will look like coming up next. let's get to the top story , pride weekend officially kicks off today in san francisco. it was a very tense start to pride weekend on friday. city and state politicians booed off the stage as protesters confronted police. state senator. mark leno had his response to the hecklers. >> people to the city who

don't know the history are what we have done work why am screaming at me we want you out here because of who your. just told me you don't know who i am. it's not rational. it is all emotional. >> despite that unusual start this year's pride celebration is expected to bring a lot of people into the city the official event begins at the civic center and tomorrow it is a big pride parade. this year security will be extra tight following the massacre in orlando. avery harper reports from the castle district on heightened security for this year's celebrations.>> reporter: if you are coming out to san francisco's annual pride to celebration there are a few safety tips you need to keep in mind. in wake of the nightclub shooting that killed 49 people in orlando at a gay nightclub, get -- safety officials in san francisco are heightening security. they say if you are at the celebration and you see anyone suspicious or suspicious activity you need to report it

right away. they say if you see something, say something. they say to keep your friends close and your drinks closer. don't accept drinks from strangers. they say there is safety in numbers. stay as a group when you leave a bars and clubs and even if you are walking on the street. also come a while you are at pride events there will be metal detectors and limits to what you can bring in. in fact, you can only bring in a bag less than 18 inches long. >> we will have metal detectors, lane closed officers out and about in the crowd. >> reporter: if you're driving in the city this weekend to be aware that there are numerous street closures. there is a long list of them. there is a long list of them@kron4.com. pride weekend means plenty of street closures in san francisco. avery mentioned our website, you can find a full list of the street closures and areas in which to avoid. we also have

live traffic maps to check out the road conditions before you leave your house. you can also see a full list of the different pride events going on both today and tomorrow. you can get all that information on a mobile app, kron four.com. it is not just pride weekend expected to cause a traffic mess. it is nascar weekend at the sonoma raceway. this is video from last year's race qualifying races start at 9:45. the actual nascar sprint cup series starts tomorrow at noon. that means very heavy traffic on highway 37 exi hp is asking people to avoid the area if they are not going to the race event. happening right now, police are investigating another highway shooting in the east bay that happened on highway 4 near pittsburgh. about 9:00 last night witnesses say someone in a car shots at a

pickup truck while driving westbound near the bailey road offramp. the truck driver made it off the highway and to a nearby gas station on willow pass road. one person was rushed to the hospital after being hit by flying glass. chp says there have been more than 20 shootings on east bay highways since november. the city of pittsburgh is planning to install security cameras along highway 4. . we have is -- a sharp warning. on friday a server saw a great white shark in pacifica. kron four's kate cagle reports from the spot where the shark was spotted and spoke to the person who saw it. >> reporter: it was a gorgeous night at lynda martin friday. the sky was clear, the waves of where a bit messy but one. to kevin graves the perfect day to try out surfing. >> i tried my look at surfing for the first time and i looked up and there was a shark in the way of a period i'm 90% sure.

>> reporter: the other surfers acted cool. >> they're probably out there every day. you just don't see them all the time. >> reporter: bob has been surfing these waves since the 70s. he had his first shark sighting near the north end of lynda martin in february. >> i saw this big fan come up and i thought -- is that a will? no, it was a shark fin. became on the service and rolled over. i could see parts of his body. >> >> reporter: that doesn't keep him out of the water and dozens of other surfers walked past these signs on the beach morning there had been a shark sighting in the last 48 hours. >> the statistics have shown that you are more likely to die from a bee sting than a shark attack. there are a lot of bees out here. but -- >> reporter: swimmers and surfers need to be aware of their surroundings but so far no one has been hurt. >> i know if the shark wanted to get me it could have easily done it. i don't think about it while

i'm out there. >> great white sightings are common in the bay area. back in may this is video taken from a private plane off the coast of santa cruz. you can see some sharks swimming around in the ocean. also, a more dramatic scene back in october as some tourists were waiting to board a fairy on alcatraz and got a close-up look at a great white. it jumped out of the water and attacked a sea lion for this encounter was caught on camera experts remind us this is a sharks natural habitat. still ahead, the us get away with more than $1 million worth of jewelry in san francisco. we will look at that surveillance video from the robbery and tell you who police are looking for. with england leaving the european union it is raising serious political and economic questions. we have reaction from politicians both here in the us and why there may be a silver

for your help let's take a look at some of the new medical findings released this week. health officials are on alert for possibility of a toxic algae in a popular bay area spot. the russian river is closely being monitored to make sure the algae doesn't return. last year the algae killed two dogs despite signs warning of the danger. health officials are tracking water temperatures, oxygen and ph levels in the waiver -- in the river flow. this data will help them know when conditions might encourage the blue green algae bloom. still ahead, two people dead after a fast-moving wildfire in kern county in southern california. we will take a look at the wildfire rocking parts of california this morning. let's have a live look

arriving on the scene to find the body of one person outside the studio. along with several others who had been hurt. the second person later died at the hospital. police are not releasing a lot of information this morning but we will continue to get on top of this and update this story as new details into the newsroom . the massive fire in kern county continues to burn out of control. two people are dead from that fire.governor. jerry brown issued a state of emergency for the area. the kern county fire burning near lake isabella is only 5% contained. at least 100 buildings are destroyed. that includes many homes. buspar 30,000 acres have been burned. some mandatory evacuations are in effect. 1500 homes are threatened.

>> i got the call from my girlfriend. she was scared and didn't know what to do. i told her to take her little dog and go. i hope my dogs made it out. all of these people have dogs and animals and kids and lives. it is all gone. >> three firefighters have been hospitalized by smoke inhalation. two fires -- fire teams from santa clara county have been deployed to kern county to try to help battle that wildfire . that fire is one of many burning right now in california. there are five big wildfires burning in the state. they are happening border to border from disk you county in the north to fires in santa barbara, los angeles and san diego counties in southern california. that includes the deadly current fire. -- kern county fire we told you about. right now police are looking for two burglars involved in a jewelry heist. the robbers got away with more than $1 million worth of jewelry and it was all caught on camera.

we spoke to the store's owner on who police are looking for. >> reporter: this man caught on surveillance tape broke into the race jewelry store thursday morning just before 4 am. the owners say they suspect a former employee could have been on the phone with the deep directing him through the backdoor entrance. >> we turned off the lights and so unless you know where they are, we also cover of the items, you don't really know where things are. >> reporter: the burglars smashed three glass cases, taking up to $3 million worth of jewelry. the owners tell me from those broken cases chance like this but thicker and longer were some of the items targeted because they are easy to sell. on top of that men's and women's diamond rings were back. according to the footage that

late july . new details this morning on the oakland police sex scandal. now the alameda county district attorney is talking about how far-reaching this case really is. the scandal involves a woman who is now 18 years of age who says she had sex with many police officers. many from opd and she says some of the encounters happened when she was underage. we broke this news of the scandal and have the latest.>> reporter: in one of my text messages to eating your dick celeste what i asked her to tell me how many police officers she had sex with while underage and which agencies they were from. she wrote, just three from oakland and one deputy from contra county. and sex did a bunch from oakland while underage. >> it is a disgrace. >> reporter: the district attorney is conducting an independent investigation into

sexual misconduct of law enforcement officers in her district. she says the vast majority are opd cases and one investigation outside of oakland. >> we're looking at seven police officers, the ones that does the ones that we have identified that have been identified by the police and by her. there's a police officer from the city of livermore who, we are looking at that case as well. >> reporter: in one of my text messages what told me she had sex with a livermore police officer. i asked her who interviewed her that day and she wrote the first ones for the da, the second one livermore pedee. i asked if she had sex with cops and livermore and she wrote, yeah, just one. >> we have interviewed her. it is really disgraceful that police officers that in the position of trust are that it violated that trust in the most profound way. there are 700 police officers in the city of oakland..

morning and expect mostly sunny conditions. we have early fog. that will burn off, we're going to have a cool breeze in the air. expect temperatures mostly in the 60s for tomorrow. here is a look at your seven- day around the forecast. we have this heating trend. it's not going to go anywhere. we're going to see 70s, 80s, 90s all the way into next weekend. >> all right, rebecca. thanks a lot. back to the news this morning. the massive fire in kern county continues to burn out of control. two people are dead from the fast moving wildfire. governor brown has declared a state of emergency. the kern county fire is only 5% contained. at least 100 buildings are destroyed, and that includes many homes. all told, some 30,000 acres have been burned in the wildfire. mandatory evacuations remain in effect. some 1500 homes are threatened. >> got the call from my girlfriend. she's scared. didn't know what to do. i told her to take her little

dog and go. left my two big dogs here in the yard. i hope they made it out. all these people have animals. they've all got dogs, kids. life. it's just all gone. >> well, three firefighters have been hospitalized with smoke inhalation. two fire strike teams from santa clara county have been deployed to kern county to help battle those wildfires. that fire is just one of many burning right now in california. there are five big wildfires burning. they're happening border to border from the north to fires in santa barbara, los angeles, and san diego counties in the southern part of the state. that includes the deadly fire in kern county. happening now, police are looking for two burglars involved in a jewelry heist in san francisco. the robbers got away with a million dollars in jewelry, and it was all caught on camera.

kron 4 spoke with some of the store owners on who the police are looking for. >> this man caught on surveillance video broke into the jewelry store thursday morning just before 4:00 a.m. the owners say they suspect a former employee could have been on the phone with the thief directing him through the back door entrance from a parking garage closed at that hour. >> we turned off the lights, so unless you know what these are, we also cover up the items too. you don't really know what these are. >> the burglar smashed three cases, taking what the owners estimate to be $3 million worth of jewelry. >> from those broken cases, chains like this but thicker and longer were some of the items taken because they're easy to sell. on top of that, men and women's diamond rings were also bagged. according to the footage, the thieves had 12 minutes to themselves before police

nancy o'mally's office is conducting an investigation into sexual misconduct. she says the vast majority are opd cases and one investigation is outside of oakland. >> we're looking at the seven police officers we've identified that have been identified by the police, have been identified by her. there's a police officer from the city of livermore and we're looking at that case as well. >> in one of my text messages, she told me she had sex with a livermore police officer. i was asking who interviewed her thattay. she said the first one was -- i asked if she had sex with cops in livermore. she wrote, yeah, just one. >> we have interviewed her. it's really disgraceful that police officers who stand in a position of trust are then violating that trust in the most profound way, but there are 7h police officers in the

city of oakland. the police officer association stands aligned with us in being disgraced and disgusted with what these officers did. teenagers are not prostitutes. this is an exploited trafficked young woman. >> she said she had been interviewed by several law enforcement agents, including the da's office. nancy o'mally said her investigation should reach conclusion in a couple of weeks and promises if anyone is charged. >> we'll prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. the search continues for a 10-year-old boy who went missing friday at a modesto reservoir. the unidentified boy was there with friends and family. he was last seen on a paddleboat along with three other kids. the children were not wearing any life vests at the time. family members used an air mattress to rescue three of the children, but the 10-year-old could not be found.

george lucas is withdrawing his plans to make chicago the home of his new art museum. it was planned to be built along lake michigan's waterfront, but friends of the park fought those plans and they sued to block construction. now that same group says it's unfortunate that lucas has decided to take the building to california instead of choosing a different location in chicago. the star wars creator says delays from that lawsuit made him look for a location closer to home. 35-year-old anthony jones originally faced the death penalty. he was arrested a few days after a body was found in a fairfield park. >> it's definitely bigger than the last one. >> four new movies are hitting the theaters this weekend.
