he's there live -- spencer? >> reporter:i'm in the soma tenderloin neighborhood.where we're coming up on dinnertime at cityteam. the lines are starting to form -- they feed two to three hundred people a day. but food for the homeless doesn't stop at the dining room. just a couple hours ago i went with the director and some of the residents here as they delivered sack lunches to people on the street. they call these bags of love. and they were pretty well- received. inside city team is a whole program for the residents here -- learning, classes, christian teachings, and addiction recovery programs. one of the residents who'se only been here for four months says he's already on a much better life path.

"here it's like more family. we get to know each other. we get to know our issues. we talk about it a lot. we get to know each other and know the community. it's kind of cool. that's what i love about this program." by the end of their time here, residents are working, have been throught the alcoholics anonymous' 12-step program if they need it. in fact, it was some of the residents who helped deliver those sacks of love earlier today. the food that people will be eating for dinner is donated -- there are so many companies around town who donate their unused food to city team. and there's a way you can help fund this charity online, too. if you go to amazon smile, you can look for cityteam and purchase items on their wish list and have them arrive on their doorstep in not much time.

also - the latest on the confusion and and politicking in under fire and now under- enrolled we're learning tonight that the being investigated by the california department of justice clients. kron4's maureen kelly talked to the antioch unified school district superintendent about why they're pulling their students out of the troubled institution. here student safety is out number one concern antioch school superintendent stephanie anello says the district started looking into finding alternative schools to send their kids after this disturbing video first surfaced back in january. >> reporter: and wrestle a nine year old boy tobinworld 2 school. it was a big decsion for the district.which according to our investigation made up a big body.145 students in all. back in march tobinworld were closing up all of their smaller campuses located on antioch unified school sites. three of which were just opened this most

recent school year. the district says they were never told why tobinworld decided to pull out. they didn't give a reason but we aren't entirely disappointed based on the video and now the investigation. the investigation she's refering to is the one announced by attorney general kamala harris last week. it's headed by the doj's new bureau of children's justice and other non public schools regarding their treatment of students with disabilities. after that news came out the antioch unified school district sent letters like this one right know that they were taking students out the soon to be sole remaining antioch campus of tobinworld two and placing them into other east bay special needs schools. some parents are saying they want to keep their kids in tobinworld. the district's response. given the events that have been documented we are not comfortable offering that as a placement at this time. the district says there are administrative remedy's that might allow parents to keep some
