week. right now this is our life camera overlooking the east bay hills with a lot of sunshine. this is the approach to the bay bridge toll plaza getting into downtown san francisco. a beautiful ride. temperatures are comfortable, 57 in san francisco. 58 oakland. 62 concorde. 60 mountain view. coming up i will let you know what highs will be in your neighborhood. overnight we're learning new information about the gun man who killed nine people in germany. police say there is no evidence of links to isis found in the home of the shooter. investigators believe the 18- year-old german iranian shooter acted alone for police searched his bedroom and found evidence of research about shooting rampages. the shooting happened at a crowded shopping center outside of a mcdonald's yesterday. nine people, including children, were killed. another 27 injured. the shooter later

killed himself. today is the day of mourning in munich. police say the security restrictions have been lifted and public transportation is operating as normal. the attack latest in the series of recent tragedies in europe last week 84 people were killed in nice france when a man ran a big truck through a celebration for bastille day. earlier this week a 17-year-old afghan man injured several people on a train in southern germany with an ax. overseas out of afghanistan at least 31 people are dead. 160 injured after an explosion earlier this morning. this is new video just in to the kron 4 newsroom from the scene of the explosion. isis is claiming responsibility for this attack. it happened during a protest march in the afghan capital. and afghanistan newsagency reporting that two isis militants used explosive vests in that attack. bringing it back to the

bay area, in the east bay police are investigating what led to a woman being hit and killed by a train in san leandro. this is video of the crash. this crash happened near washington avenue and healthy on drive in san leandro go. -- in san leandro. the same intersection where a mother and her child were killed in may. spencer blake reports on the fatal accident. >> reporter: washington and chapman. the site of a deadly train collision for the second time in two months. this time a woman walking was killed just before 6:00 in the evening. >> we don't know if this was an accident or a suicide. we are very much in the early stages of the investigation. >> reporter: the train ended up stopping on the tracks about 600 yards away while rail workers checked for issues with the safety bars and warning bells. >> she was truck somewhere between the two sidewalks that border the street. >> reporter: onlookers lined the sidewalk. >> there were all of these

police cars and all of a sudden they came from out of nowhere. >> reporter: police don't have much information to release their investigation. some people nearby said it appeared the woman was homeless . >> apparently she pushed her cart out of the way. i was told that. she ran in front of the train. >> reporter: two months ago police were in this same spot after an amtrak train hit the car vanessa henriquez and her three-year-old daughter were in. it was pushed for a quarter of a mile before came to a stop at both mom and daughter were killed. >> we have to be very diligent in looking both ways on the tracks. >> reporter: i asked police about whether any changes will be made at the intersection where the accidents happen. they said that is something that will go before police and traffic engineers and the city. we might -- it might be a while before we know if changes will be made. hillary clinton set to formally introduce center to tim kaine as her running mate.

passengers are still dealing with delays and cancellations.>> reporter: good morning. this is day four of long lines, delays and cancellations for travelers who are flying southwest at oakland international airport. there are no signs of it slowing down. there are a lot of long lines. we got this video of the past few days. it has been a struggle for people to get to their final destination. there has been a lot of frustration for travelers and it all stems from a glitch that forced southwest to ground their entire fleet on wednesday. >> two canceled flights in two days and now no flights available. i have check multiple airlines out of oakland and san francisco and everything is hold out. >> we are trying to get to southern california. my sister is getting married. it is an indian wedding and everything is a weeklong affair.

new medical findings released during the week. the health department confirmed two new zika cases in san francisco brings the total number of infected people in the city to seven. all the patients that have tested positive, including the two most recent, contracted it while traveling outside of the country. health officials say there is no risk to the public and the virus is not circulating through the city. the first case was reported back in march. we're looking at a lot of sunshine right now. i will let you know what the a's forecast game looks like in oakland this evening. for the weekend is pokey con. a line food and music festival going on in san francisco. some great food, drinks and more happening at the street food park from 11 until 9:00 today and is free to append --

triple digit heat and wind are fueling wildfires all across california. this fire is in vacaville. it is now fully contained but the brushfire started friday afternoon and took more than 50 firefighters about four hours to get the flames under control. cal fire ordered evacuations but then lifted that order later in the day. the cause of the fire is under investigation. happening now, firefighters battling a fast- moving brush fire in santa clarita north of los angeles. the fire burning over 3000 acres at zero containment. there is an evacuation order for over 200 homes. that fire is burning along state route 14 near santa clarita in southern california . fire danger is on her mind,

redwood city police are looking for a man who tried to kidnap a young girl in the fair oaks neighborhood. girl managed to run away and reported the incident to an adult. kron 4's allison reports on who police are looking for this morning. >> reporter: authorities say a man there looking for try to take a young girl against her will in a north redwood city neighborhood. it happened at about 12:00 thursday. the girl was said to be walking around douglas and fair oaks avenues when authorities say a thin middle-aged white man with blonde here approached her on a red bicycle. >> i feel worried for my niece. i hope they catch the guy because she plays out in front of my yard and i want her to be safe. >> reporter: the van was wearing no shirt and white and red striped shorts. the sheriff's office reports he asked the girl if she was lost and offered to help and then grabbed her. that is when she ran up towards fair oaks elementary and told a summer counselor about the incident.

>> they notified us and we responded and conducted an area search. a thorough search. unfortunately, we didn't find anyone or anything suspicious. >> reporter: a business owner says he has never seen anything suspicious, just heard about it. >> i hear rumors that [ indiscernible ] >> reporter: this street has many kids and families in the area. for the girl, she was able to get help before the situation turned worse. in redwood city with kron 4 news. in bay area headlines, san francisco's immigration policy is in the spotlight after donald trump talked about it. it is does he mentioned kane stanley by name. and undocumented immigrant is accused by her her murder does for her city. k stanley was shot and killed last summer on appear 14 in san francisco. the man charged with her murder

is an undocumented immigrant from mexico. he had been deported five times and had a string of felony convictions. yesterday we talked to san francisco's sheriff about where the sanctuary law stands now. there have been some changes in the ordinance, but there is little impact. >> basically, we have a no notification policy except under some very, very specific circumstances. it sets forth a notification policy for people who have been held to answer of specific crimes, serious felony crimes in some cases. sometimes serious and sometimes violent crimes. >> reporter: since she took the post in january there have been no notifications from her office to federal immigration officials she says. juan lopez sanchez remains in custody awaiting his trial. coming up, we have the giants, yankee stadium and is doing their business at home. usa basketball with an

it says the pilot conducted a flight simulation similar to the planes suspected route over the indian ocean. the fbi investigators concluded he did that less than a month before the flight went missing. cnn is not and apparently confirming the contents of the report to document, but the plane with 239 people on board disappeared during a flight from kuala lumpur to beijing. more than two years ago. investigators never figured out what went wrong, but one theory is a pilot may have taken the plane down as an act of murder- suicide. officials say the plane was diverted from its original route and later vanished far over the indian ocean. in the bay area, yesterday would have been marty woods 27th birthday. his friends and family met at the cornerstone missionary baptist church in the bayview district to remember him. woods was shot and killed by police last december across the street from the church. we have more from that emotional ceremony.

>> reporter: people held signs photos of many people killed in police shootings. one member of the mario with coalition says he thinks the powerful san francisco police union should be revamped. >> replace them with good citizens that want to do the work. that really want to do the work. have a healthy san francisco. have a citizen watch. not come to kill us. >> reporter: the president says they held their event at the spot as reminder to build bridges of understanding with the communities they serve. how this ceremony will help in that effort is as unclear as the skies were over that iconic crossing. maureen kelly with kron 4 news. turning out in national news, another funeral held for one of the free -- three baton rouge police officers killed in last sunday's ambush. matthew gerald was a 41-year- old former marine and former blackhawk crew sheep -- crew chief who served in iraq.

breaking overnight, we are learning new information about the gun man who killed nine people in germany. munich police have no evidence of links to isis found in the home of the shooter. investigators believe the 18- year-old german iranian shooter acted alone for police searched the shooter's bedroom and found evidence of research about shooting rampages. this shooting happened at a crowded shopping mall at a mcdonald's yesterday. nine people were killed including three children. another 20 -- 27 people are injured. the shooter later killed himself. today is a day of mourning in munich germany. police are saying security restrictions have been lifted and public transportation is operating normally. the attack is the latest in a series of recent tragedies in europe. last week 84 people were killed in the sprints when a man ran a truck through a celebration for bastille day. earlier this week a 17-year-old afghan man injured several people on a train in southern germany with an ax.

let's look at some of the new medical findings were released -- released this week. two zika cases in san francisco. this brings the total number of infected people in the city to seven. all the patients that have tested positive for the virus including the two most recent contracted it while traveling outside of the country. health officials say there is no risk to the public and the virus is not circulating through the city. the first reported case was in march. a beautiful picture outside right now with our tower camera. it looks like a postcard with a lot of sunshine right now. for the weekend it is pokey on going on in san francisco. enjoy great food, drinks and more at the street food park from 11 until nine today. it is free to attend.

triple digit heat and wind fueling wildfires in california. this is from vacaville from yesterday. it is now fully contained. the brushfire started friday afternoon and took more than 50 firefighters about four hours to get the flames under control. hellfire initially ordered evacuations, but then lifted the evacuations later in the day. the cause of the fire is under investigation this morning . right now and southern california firefighters also very busy battling this brushfire in santa clarita north of los angeles. the fire burned over 3000 acres at zero containment this morning. there is an evacuation order for over 200 homes. that fire is burning along state route 14 in santa clara north of la. in the bay area we are always on alert for fire danger, especially when the weather is this warm. we are looking outside of the golden gate bridge. no

in effect. happening now in redwood city, police are looking for a man who tried to kidnap a young girl in the fair oaks neighborhood. the girl managed to run away and report the incident to an adult. kron 4's allison reports on who police are looking for this morning. authorities say a man they are looking for try to take a young girl against her will in a north redwood city neighborhood. it happened at about 12:00 in the afternoon on thursday. the 12-year-old girl was walking around douglas and fair oaks avenues when authorities say a thin middle-aged white man with blonde hair approached her on a red bicycle. >> i feel worried for my niece. i hope they catch the guy. she plays out in front of my yard anyone heard be safe. >> reporter: the man was described as wearing no shirt and white and red striped shorts. the sheriff reports he asked the girl if she was lost in

for your health, let's look at the medical findings released this week. the health department confirms two new zika cases in san francisco and not this brings the total number of people affected to 7. all of the patients that have been tested positive including the two most recent contracted it while traveling outside the country. health officials say there's no risk to the public and the virus is not circulating through the city. the first case was reported back in march. health researchers say tooth decay is the most chronic

republican national convention. trump mentioned a woman by name who was murdered by an undocumented worker. she was shot and killed last summer on pier 14. the man charged with her murder is an undocumented immigrant from mexico. he had been deported five times and had a string of felony convictions. yesterday, we talked to san francisco sheriff about where the sanctuary city law stands now. she says there have been changes in the ordinance, but she says there's been little impact. >> basically we have a no notification policy accept under very, very specific circumstances. it sets forth a notification policy for people who have been held to answer for specific crimes, serious felony crimes. sometimes serious and violent crimes. >> reporter: the sheriff says since she took the post back in january, there have been no notifications from her office

antioch. 92 for concord and 91 for livermore. i'll let you know if this heat is going to last and for how long coming up next. marty. back to the news this morning. the pilot of malaysia airlines flight 370 practiced to suicide routes on his flight simulator at home. that's according to a government document obtained by new york magazine. it says the pilot conducted a flight simulation similar to the plane's suspected route over the indian ocean and that fbi investigators conclude that he did that less than a month before the flight went missing. cnn is not independently confirming the contents of the document. the plane with 239 people on board disappeared during a flight more than two years ago. investigators have never figured out what exactly went wrong. one of the theories that they're working with is a pilot may have taken the plane down as an act of murder-suicide.
