through san francisco. all of this will clear out and open up to sunny skies and a lot of warm temperatures. right now it's mild out there. 55 degrees for san francisco, 59 oakland, and 61 in san jose. this is what it will look like around lunchtime. it's cooler and it hit 100 degrees. again, it's still going to be warm. you won't feel that much of a difference. fairfield today, expecting to be 98 degrees around lunchtime. 76 for oakland, 87 degrees for san jose and a nice comfortable 65 for san francisco. i'll let you know how long this heat trend will last, back to you. a oakland police officer is recovering in the hospital after she was shot at last night following a car accident.

the officer was responding to a call at 9:30 and she was involved in a vehicle accident on 73rd avenue. a man approached the officer's car and fired a shot. the bullet hit the police car, but the officer was not hit by a gunfire. >> there were several shots fired at the officer. we know the person has a gun, took that action to an officer, what will they do with one of our citizens. we're following up with any leads and again, speaking with the officer to obtain as much information as possible so we can understand the person responsible to locate them. police have not released details. as you heard, they're looking actively for the shooter. on kron 4 news, an uber driver is behind bars on suspicion of sexually

assaulting a passenger. that's where the incident began. it's a frightening situation for anyone who uses ride sharing services. an uber driver is waking up in jail accused of a sexual assault of one of his passengers. police say a woman was getting a ride home to her house in palo alto when she called for an uber pool which allows you to share the ride for other passengers. the driver asked her to sit in the front seat, he never picked up other drivers and he touched the woman's leg and tried kissing her. her name is rudolph jajera, they're asking anyone who may have been a victim of something similar by this uber driver to give them a call. i'll be at here -- here with

98 also for livermore and 76 oakland, and 79 hayward and san francisco and half moon bay are coming in at 65 degrees around noon. the heat will be sticking around, that's for sure, as you head back to work tomorrow. we'll be in the 70s, possibly 80s around the bay and along the coast we'll be mid-60s and tuesday we'll see temperatures spike, we'll see triple digits for the inland area locations and 80s along the bay, and along the coast it will be gorgeous, a great beach weather, mid-70s are expected along the beach. back to you. let's turn to world news. we learned more about the teenager that killed nine people in munich, germany. the shooter planned the attack for a year. he was a mentally troubled man who had two months inpatient psychiatric treatment last year. police say he researched

rampage killings and had no apparent links to isis. they have not named the killer, but they said that ali samboli had dual german and iranian nationality and he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. what police found were numerous documents on rampage killings, hundreds built a makeshift memorial at the site of the shooting. >> my friends are affected. i'm so sorry for the people who were here at the moment. >> it's scatteredded in pieces, i can't believe it's happened in your own neighborhood. >> pray for munich. pray for the world. >> police say that he had no

political motives. police are questioning his parents as well. >> bringing it back to california, police say that a burned body has been found at the scene of a wildfire that is threatening 1500 homes in santa clarita, there's no evidence that the crime was related. people are ordered to evacuate, the wildfire that has consumed 31 square miles of brush. fire officials say some buildings have burned, but it's not clear if they were homes, garages or other types of buildings. 900 firefighters are on the front lines this morning. a fire has consumed more than 6300 of steep mountainous violence near the sebron us ridge, they're getting help on the ground from bay area fire department. people are being asked to

it's a pretty picture here overlooking sfo, again lots of sunshine, but no matter where you're traveling around the bay area today and it's going to be warm. any low lying clouds that we're seeing, especially the golden gate bridge that will be cleared out as we head into if the later morning hours, getting into the afternoon. temperatures right now, pretty much on the mild side, it's 59 oakland, 61 in san jose livermore and concord, and 53 in santa rosa. we'll see a real jump in temperatures this afternoon. we'll have lots of sunshine and very warm today especially in the evening, so right around 5:00, it's going to be very similar to yesterday, hot for around the bay and also for parts inland as well. we're going to see mild coastal temperatures though, if you're headed to the beach it will be much cooler today and comfortable for you.

we'll see a pair of 65 and san francisco and half moon bay. in the north bay, 90 degrees for novato and 76 for the east shoreline and 87 for san hoe same it will be a great day to catch an a's game, if you're headed to oakland and the coliseum, bring your sun glasses and hat. it will be mid-70s at 1:05 against the rays. we'll see a slight breeze but it will be very hot at the park today. back to the news, protestors took to the streets of hayward yesterday, a local chapter of the naacp calling for justice following recent deadly officer-involved shootings across the country. one said all lives matter when "black lives matter." there's a report from hayward when the groups call for unity. >> we thank you for waking us up. >> a show of unity before

picture is one of him tending his beehive. he did everything, he made everything exceptional including being a father of her children. she called her daughter capable and funny and intelligent and mischievious. they were together in honolulu when a wave came in and washed the girls into the water. a bystander was able to get the older girls in and mark jumped in to try to save mina, she wasn't surprised that he gave his life trying to save his daughter. there was no way he would have come out without her. while it's hard to see a way forward from this tragedy, because the law is so big, she takes comfort in that they passed over together. they're asking in lieu of fathers, a donation be made to a hawaiian group to get

we won't see triple digits, it's going to be in the upper 90s, it will be a warm week ahead. here's what it looks like outside at the golden gate bridge right now. we have foggy conditions at the gates here, all of this will start it clear off, especially right around 10:00 or 11:00. before noontime you can expect clear conditions and lots of sunshine in those areas. right now temperatures, 55 degrees in san francisco, 59 in oakland as well as innovate, # 0 degrees for hayward -- novato, and 70 degrees for hayward. and hayward will be the hottest spot, one of them, we'll have lots of sunshine no matter where you are in the bay area. it will be a warm evening as we go into the 5:00 hour tonight. it will be hot around the bay and for inland it will be mild though, if you're headed to the beach around the 5:00 hour if you're going to be out here.

east bay highs, we can expect 76 oakland, and 80 degrees in hayward, 88 for danville and 87 for san ramon and pleasanton and moving to the south bay it will be warm as well. 79 for redwood city and palo alto and 79 for 87 expected in san jose. here's what it looks like for the heatwave, it will continue as you make it back to work tomorrow. 90s tomorrow and triple digits tuesday through thursday inland and 80s around the bay. it will be gorgeous beach weather all week. we'll see the 70s and friday, it will taper off a couple of degrees into next weekend. it will be gorgeous and lots of sunshine. >> all right, rebecca, in national news, a college football player, it won't stop a man from assaulting a man in

florida. the sexual assault was on camera, the video has not been released, it does show according to police, a man attacking a woman next to a dumpster, the linebacker at the university of florida is one of the people who pulled a man away from a woman. he's on charges of sexual battery. they have reason to believe he may have assaulted other women as well. traveling to san francisco can be a hassle if you're driving during commute hours. it's a problem that can cost you money as well. you may never see the fine coming. this is in this morning's edition of people behaving badly. have you had a ticket show up in the mail and you don't have a inkling on why you got

welcome to kron4 news weekend as we take this live look outside from our embark camera this morning expecting another beautiful day along the coast and toasty hot temperatures inland. good morning i'm marty gonzalez along with rebecca stromb and she's here to tell us more about hot temperatures we are continuing to deal with for the second day in a row. >> and they are not going anywhere any time soon. >> that's it. >> it is going to be hot. that's the biggest weather story for sure. lots of water and sun screen keep it handy getting into all next week as well. going to see triple digits for most of the week for some of our hottest spots inland and especially for the east bay and south bay. so right notch we are seeing a little bit of cloud cover. and you can see the towers there are the golden gate bridge towers seeing the cloud cover coming in but this is all going to clear out right before noon time and open up to lots of sunshine and warm temperatures. most parts of the bay area already are seeing the sunshine. we started seeing that right

around the 7:00 hour with clear conditions. right now temperatures on the mild side 55 degrees san francisco oakland and 64 in san jose. noon time that's when the jump in temperatures really starts so definitely make sure you have a lot of water to drink today and lots of sunshine in all parts of the bay area. 5:00 another warm evening for you. it's going to be pretty warm or hot around the bay and some of our hottest inland spots mild coastal temperatures gorgeous beach weather. i let you know what highs you can expect coming this afternoon. that's coming up next. marty. >> rebecca thank you. oakland police officer recovering in the hospital after she was shot at last night following a car accident. police say the officer was responding to a call about 9:30 last night and that's when she was involved in an accident on 73rd avenue. now an the crash a man approached the officer's car and fired a round. police say the bullet struck the police car but the officer was not hit by the gunfire.

>> if we have someone in our community that took such an abrasive action towards an officer fired several shots at the officer we know has a gun took that action towards an officer what will they do with one of our citizens so we are very aggressively and actively following up with any leads and again speaking with the officer to obtain as much information as possible so we can identify the person responsible for this to locate them. >> oakland police say that unless they self significant information they will not release any new information until tomorrow morning. another big story we are following this sunday morning an uber driver behind bars on suspicion of sexually assaulting a passenger. avery harper reporting live in palo alto where the incident began. avery, good morning. >> good morning. this is definitely a frightening situation for anybody who uses ride sharing services. one uber driver is behind bars

accused of sexual assault of one of his passengers. take a look at this video. his name is rudolph and he's 59 years old driving a marine kia ultima. police say he picked up the victim when she used the uber app to get a ride to her palo alto home. she called for an uber pool which allows you to share your ride with other passengers but asked her to sit in the front but he never picked up those other passengers. he canceled the rides with them and when they arrived at her home he locked the doors started touching the victim's leg and kissing her and asked her to come into her apartment with her and she refused when he let her go. he's a red wood city based driver and police are not releasing his photo because they are trying to find out if there are more victims out there. we do have a call out to uber for comment on this situation and investigation but we have not gotten a response from them

yet. i'll be here in palo alto throughout the morning with updates. >> avery harper reporting live from palo alto. now to the latest on decision 2016 the scorching weather could be hotter than politics in philadelphia this week as the national convention opens tomorrow under tight security in the city of brotherly love. in miami yesterday hilary clinton formally introduced her running mate tim kaine a virginia senator former governor and civil rights attorney. reed binon has the story. >> welcoming the next vice president my friend senator tim kaine. >> just one day after announcing her vice presidential pick via social media hilary clinton and tim kaine made their first appearance saturday. >> senator tim kaine is everything donald trump and mike pence are not. he is qualified to step into

this job and lead on day one. >> i'm grateful to you hillary for the trust that you placed in me and we are going to be [speaking spanish] in this ahead. >> the event was held in florida international university where more than half of the student body is hispanic and clinton is hoping kaine can help support her in spanish voters. rocking in the hispanic vote would be a critical move for donald trump to just accept his party for nomination during the rnc last week. >> donald trump may think america is in decline but he's wrong. america's best days are still ahead of us my friends. kaine who is considered an insider served as former mayor, virginia governor and now senator. he's supported barrack obama and an early supporter of the nominee. >> hillary is ready to be our

leader. hillary is ready to make history. >> well senator bernie sanders clinton's ex-rival e rivalling and now supporter is calling his 1900 delegates to a private meeting tonight. in a text message the campaign says the meeting is about continuing the political revolution. some of the delegates are concerned about the timing of this meeting coming just hours before the convention's opening gavel. a leader of the network says most delegates will be skipping the sanders meeting if it jeopardizes their ability to cast votes. keep it right here on kron4 for the democratic national convention going on in philadelphia. we know that bernie sanders will be speaking as well as president obama and first lady michelle obama. bill and chelsea clinton will be speaking at well. we'll have more coming up beginning tomorrow. coming up next on kron4 news weekend take a look at this. that looks like a lot of fun. we are going to show you how

for your money this morning here's stories from the week that might impact your bottom line after years of double digit growth starbucks sales are slowing down. the coffee chain stocks sank about 4% based on that report. sales in the latest quarter grew more than 7% but didn't meet wall street expectations. the news comes roughly a week after starbucks is raising pay for employees by 5% and raising menu item prices by 10 to 30 cents. the e. coli out break at chipotle having a huge impact on profits dropping 82% compared to last summer. the out break started last july

have been dealing with hot temperatures a live look outside golden gate bridge and it can be dangerous. >> definitely. >> but definitely uncomfortable for a lot of people. >> very uncomfortable especially inland where we are going to see the warmest temperatures today very similar to yesterday and we are going to see upper 90s so yeah if you are going to be in the east bay or south bay that's where we are going to see the hottest weather. around the bay 70s and 80s for spots like oakland and fremont and hayward. so again get ready because the heat is going to be coming your way as we head into the afternoon. live camera right now the bay bridge toll plaza approach lots of sunshine already and we are in the 8:00 hour so you know what that means temperatures going to be definitely warm as we make our way through these early morning hours. right now it's pretty mild and comfortable. 57 degrees currently in san francisco. 63 in oakland, 64 for hayward 65 mountain view and 64

currently in san jose. 50s and 60s not bad at this morning hour. by noon time jump in temperatures begin so get your water and spf ready and don't put it away. need it into next week as well. another warm evening similar to last night it's going to be pretty hot for inland and around the bay as well some of our bay area locations there. mild coastal temperatures though it's going to be a gorgeous day if you are headed to santa cruz it's going to be nice beach weather. so future temperatures you can see the next 24 hours as we advance here you can see how it's gradually going to really start to spike in temperatures. 99 degrees expected. it might push the 100-degree mark maybe one or two of them on the board. 60s along the east bay shoreline. 66 for oakland, 65 for hayward and into the 8:00 hour pretty warm inland but then it's going to get nice and mild of course along the coast and right around the bay. and then as we head into the

overnight hours you can see waking up tomorrow morning starting your monday morning back at work. we are going to have similar temperatures as to what we are experiencing this morning. very comfortable, 50s and 60s what you are going to wake up to tomorrow. heat tips of course always very careful as the temperatures really start to spike. don't leave your children or pets inside the car. high fire danger as well so be careful make sure you stay hydrated. back to you. >> rebecca thanks. breaking news for you this morning. the international olympics committee deciding against the complete ban of russian athletes in rio leaving it up to global federations to decide which russian athletes to accept in their sports. a report from the doping agency accused russia security services of tampering and altering sealed urine samples and will deny entry to russian

athletes who do not meet requirements by their own sports governing body. learning more about the teenager who shot and killed nine people. the shooter planned the attack for a year. police say a mentally troubled man with two months in patient treatment last year. he extensively researched rampage killings and had no apparent links to isis. they had not officially named the killer but 18-year-old lived in the apartment that police searched. some bully had duel german and i rain yan nationallality had- -sonboly had and no references to any religion but among the things liss did find numerous documents on rampage killings. hundreds of people built a makeshift memorial at the site of the shootings. a lot of them were clearly emotional. >> so glad that my friends are

all alive and safe and i'm so sorry for the people who were here at the moment. >> i haven't foreseen that like happening in your own neighborhood you know? >> pray for munich. pray for the world. >> police say sonboly had no political motives apparently and they are questioning his parents right now as well. bringing it back to california police say a burned body has been found at the scene of a wild fire that is threatening 1500 homes in the southern california community of santa chariota. there's no evidence in the person's death crime related. here's new video of that fire. people in the area ordered to evacuate because of the wild fire that is consumed more than 31 square miles of brush. fire officials say some buildings have burned but it's not clear whether they were homes, garages or other buildings. all told 900 firefighters are on the fire lines this morning.

a wild fire in monterey county has led to the evacuation warnings for all areas of the highlands. the fire consumed more than 6500-acres of steep valleys near the ridge. fire officials say it's only 5% contained this morning. crews are getting help on the ground from bay area fire departments. >> the biggest factor in all of it is just how remote it is extremely steep and very remote so we have to hike everything in. >> as temperatures are expected to rise firefighters are asking people in the area to be ready to evacuate at a moment's notice. still ahead for you on kron4 news weekend the giants were still looking for their first win since the all star break. did they get it against the yankees? how about the a's. that was a close one too. but first a look at the sierra lake tahoe this morning. clear skies and plenty of sunshine. if you can't make it there, how

we are back on kron4 news weekend it's 8:29 this sunday morning and we are seeing a little bit of traffic. not a lot, nothing to worry about on the bay bridge toll plaza. plenty of sunshine and a lot of people worried about that especially inland. >> it's going to be another hot one harty temperatures in the 90s for some of our warmest inland spots. we might see a triple digit here and there but mostly 80s are expected today. the heat is not going to go anywhere sticking around into next week as well. i get to that in just a moment.

here's what it looks like with our camera overlooking the sfo airport and it's pretty nice. we usually see a lot of low lying clouds. not today, lots of sunshine, gorgeous blue skies and temperatures, warm temperatures on the way to the bay area. currently right now 60 degrees already in san francisco. that's a nice temperature for san francisco. oakland 63, 64 in san jose. 66 in livermore. 65 concord and 59 degrees in santa rosa. noon time that's when you really need to make sure that you have your water drink handy because that's when the real big warm up begins. we are going to see testimony tours in the 80s and 00s for hottest inland spots and lots of sunshine. 5:on 0 this e evening still warm for inland spots and also around the bay gorgeous beach weather today. so it's going to be pretty cool and mild especially half moon bay by lunch time 59 degrees so

yesterday morning on kron4 news weekend 81 people are dead more than 260 people injured. isis claiming responsibility for sending two suicide bombers into that crowd. minority muslims were peacefully demonstrating to try and get government to provide more electricity in their communities. bringing it back here to the u.s. just over one week ago a berkeley father and daughter drowned off the coast of honolulu. maureen kelly talked to the woman who is grieving the loss of her husband and daughter. >> she says many people will miss her husband mark who she describes as deeply authentic, real, compassionate and shares pictures of her loved ones as he tends to his back yard beehive one of the many hobbies he did around the home. everything he did he went the extra mile to make it exceptional including being a father to his three children.

it's hard to think of life without her six-year-old daughter who she called capable, empathetic, funny and genius. a wave suddenly came in and washed the girls into the water. a bystander was able to get the older girls out and mark jumped in to try and save nina. she wasn't surprised mark gave his life trying to save his daughter. there was no way he would have come out without her. while it's hard to see a way forward from this tragedy because the loss is so big she takes comfort in knowing they passed over together. they are planning private memorials in berkeley and honolulu and are asking that in lou of flowers donations be made to a group getting children out into the water and teaching ocean safety. maureen kelly kron4 news. coming up on kron4 news weekend thousands are taking to the streets again to try and catch them all. we take a look at the latest

he's living in boulder colorado but came home to the bay for this pokemon crawl. >> i just saw a huge coming out and see if i could help participate in creating events going on. >> a social media group let people know where to gather to catch them together. >> i was able to bring in 3.2000 people interested in the group. >> he tells us where to go and we follow what he says. >> various people dropped lures that entice virtual pokemon to gather in one place. market street and the garden were also along that crawl route. >> downtown is basically the place to be for pokemon go. >> the organizer went one step further and got local bars involved too. >> he asked if we would be interested in being part of this event that pokemon game and people coming to the city. >> places like last drop tavern are part of the pub crawl bringing in business as players

national news this morning and tropical storm warning in effect for multiple islands in hawaii as the state is preparing for high winds and rain from tropical storm darby bringing up to 40 miles per hour winds. state officials urging people to stay off the road and stay

indoors. high wind and rain expected to continue on the hawaiian islands into today. bringing it back home to the bay area check out conditions at the richmond bridge back up there at the cash lanes but otherwise things moving smoothly there and plenty of sunshine to lead us to rebecca stromb to tell us about conditions today into the work week on monday in one word. hot. >> yeah. >> you read my mind marty. it's going to be very hot. lots of sunshine all into next week as well. the hot weather is not going anywhere any time soon. >> that little bit of fog not so much. >> that is going to go away. that will be non existent in a couple of hours. we are going to wish it would come back believe me especially inland today upper 90s expected and of course lots of sunshine. it's going to bring in the heat as we head through these early morning hours into the afternoon. right notch we are seeing a little bit of fog but again that is set to burn off. mild temperatures around the

bay area we are seeing mostly 60s but we do have a 57 for san francisco. not bad. 63 oakland, 64 hayward, 62 in napa right now. 71 already. it's going to be a warm one. 66 in livermore. 64 currently in san jose and 65 for mountain view. planning your day noon time you really need to start getting prepared for this warm up lots of sun screen because we really see temperatures jump during this hour and lots of sunshine sticking around. by 5:00 this afternoon it's still going to be quite warm especially inland valley locations and some parts around the bay. here's a look at your highs in the east bay today. east bay shoreline pretty nice 75 oakland 80 hayward 73 richmond and further inland temperatures warmer. 90 degrees expected for pleasanton at the 3: 00 hour. 94 for walnut creek and moving

down to the south bay it's quite warm in palo alto at79 degrees. great beach weather for today. 83 expected, 87 for san jose and 79 degrees for mountain view. it's going to be a gorgeous but warm day at the ballpark if you are headed over to oakland the coliseum for the a's game taking on the rays first pitch1:05 and expect lots of sunshine mid 70s a slight breeze in the air definitely stay hydrated headed to the game. this is what it looks like for the next seven days. look at all of those triple digits tuesday through thursday for inland locations around the bay nice and warm upper 70s and 80s but gorgeous beach weather along the coast upper 60s all week. marty? >> thanks a lot. onto breaking news this morning democratic national committee chair woman debbie schultz will

not be speaking or preside at the party convention this week. party officials reach that saturday after e-mails surface about the committee's i amablality during the primary over 20,000 e-mails and some staffers are discussing how to discredit vermont senator bernie sanders in favor of hilary clinton's presidential candidacy. party officials named ohio representative marsha fudge as the permanent chair of the convention. national news this morning police say that a college football player helped stop a man from assaulting a woman in florida. police say the sexual assault was caught on camera. the video has not been released but it does show according to police the man attacking a woman next to a dumpster. christian garcia linebacker at the university of florida was one of the people who pulled the man away from the woman. police went on to arrest the man on charges of sexual battery. they have reason to believe he may have assaulted other women

as well. driving in san francisco can be a hassle especially during the busy commute hours and it's a problem that can cost you money if you are behaving badly in a jammed intersection you might never see a fine coming. stanley roberts explains in this edition of people behaving badly. >> have you ever had a ticket show up in the mail and don't have a clue how you got it? that my friend is called a ticket on the fly and happens here at the corner of harrison in san francisco just about every commute evening. some people think signs that read do not block intersection or no right turn or no left turn are simply decorations around town so they ignore them so playing parking patrol officers on corners to try to cut down on gridlock. all they have to do is follow instructions and pay attention to the signs. >> i'll get you to behave badly. >> you just wait your turn to

get on the bay bridge. if you choose to go rogue and block the intersections like this traffic solutions truck there's a good chance you'll get a ticket on the fly. a ticket on the fly basically means the parking control officer will not chat with you he'll snap a photo and the u.s. postal service will take it from there. so as one driver turns illegally from the right another one turns illegally from the left all while playing gang sister party from tupac. this is more like a ticket party but i did i progress. the driver will be getting one of these letters in a few weeks but you have to wonder if being on his phone will cost him $103. you heard me right. yes it falls under the code for blocking an intersection. if there's an illegal turn that ticket is $110 but it's not a

moving violation unless you are cited by a police officer. it jumped to $285. i understand traffic in the city is a nightmare but try to avoid blocking cross walks because it's not worth it. at one point one of the officers ticket book battery died so he handed off his duty to his partner. important to note if you were shown in this segment there's an 85% chance you'll be getting something in the mail and it won't be from me. in san francisco stanley roberts kron4 news. >> and if you see people behaving badly let stanley know contact him on facebook, twitter or e-mail him. thousands of walkers in the bay area this weekend for a worthy cause. it's the avon 39 walk for breast cancer and we caught up with these walkers in the town park as they finish the first leg of their journey. hundreds of survivors friends and family started in san

francisco and walked their way to the north bay. plenty of cheering sections along the way as well. the walk raised over $4 million for breast cancer research and support. >> this is my second avon 39. i did santa barbara and this year in san francisco and this is a part of my journey as a three year survivor, a two time cancer survivor and to be here and be surrounded by all of these people trying to stop this horrible disease is an amazing feeling. >> later today walkers will be finishing the final 13.1 miles with a celebration and a closing ceremony at fort mason in san francisco. still ahead a young boy selling lemonade for a great cause. we are going to tell you why coming up next. and let's take you to the sierra for this live look outside. from the kirk wood ski resort plenty of blue skies and sunshine there expecting a high of 79 closer to home it's in the park and you can bring out the blankets and lawn chairs

the children of a police officer in wisconsin are selling lemonade to their neighbors for a good cause. they are selling to show the support for the men and women in blue so everything they earn is donated to the families of the officers killed in the dallas and baton rouge shootings. they opened up for business on tuesday. >> my brother said we raised only $5 in the first minute that we started we raised more than that. the first donations was $10. and then i said we'd raise $37 and we wiped that out too on the first day. >> they sure have. so far they have raised more than $3,800. and take a look at the

>> if we have someone in our community that took such an abraesive action against a officer firing several shots at officer we know has a gun, to being that action towards a officer what will they do with a citizen so we are aggressively and actively following that with any means and again speaking with the officer to obtain as much information as possible so we can identified person responsible for this. and locate them. >> now police say unless they develop significant information they will not release any new information until tomorrow morning. a another big story we are following for you this sunday morning, a uber driver is behind bars on suspicion of sexually assaulting a passenger. kron 4 averi harper is live. >> reporter: it's situation that is scary for anyone who uses ride sharing apps-one uber

driver is accused of sexually assaulting passenger and now he is behind barsch the driver's name is rodolf vjerdha59-year-old and drives a maroon on the ma. he picked up the victim when she used the uber app to get a ride home to her house in palo alto. she called for an uber pool which allows you to share your ride with other passengers. he asked her to sit in the front seat because he was picking up other passengers but he never picked up the other people. he canceled those rides with him when they arrive at her home, police say, he locked the doors and started to touch the victim's leg and kissing her. he asked her to come inside her apartment with her but she refused and that's when he finally let her go. i was able to talk to people around palo alto about this incident and they tell me they use the apps for the convenience but hearing about the incident is alarming. >> that would be absolutely terrifying and i haven't heard

outside and hanging out for long periods of time going to the pool and any of that activity you want to put on the sunscreen this morning. this is looking gorgeous. we are seeing lots of sunshine a beautiful drive into san francisco and it's going to be a nice temperature in san francisco right now. currently it's at 62 degrees. oakland is coming in at 64. san jose at 69 and 71 for livemore and 72 concord and santa rosa 66 degrees. noontime that's where we will see the warmup and see 80s on the board. and even some 90s for some of the warmest inland valley location around noon again with lots of sunshine. it's going to be another warm evening so get ready for that tonight. and then as we look ahead future temperatures, for the next 24 hours, we are seeing these at 10 a.m. see we have some 80s for some of the inland spots like antioch concord and livermore. advancing towards the 4:00 hour it's going to be quite warm out there. east bay shoreline is not so bad a little cooler than

yesterday. but it's going to have lots of sunshine as we head into the 9:00 hour very warm as you head into the valley. it's going to be mostly 60s around the bay area. we might have some 70s at the 8:00 hour and advancing ahead for the overnight hours and wake up very comfortable temperatures by 9. this is very similar to what we have seen all weekend so far. and heat tips of course. very care -- be very careful as we will see 90s for inland valley locations. don't leave children on pets inside the car and stay wellhydrated. >> good advice thanks rebecca. breaking news off germany police arrested a -- out of germany. police arrested a man after killing a woman with a machete. two others were injured in the attack. the reason is unclear. this comes following the shooting rampage at a munich mall on friday night in germany where 9 people were killed. it also there was a earlier attack an ax attack on a train a week ago that left five people wounded.

political motives and they are questioning his parents as well. bringing it back home to california police say a burned body has been found at the scene of a wild fire that is threatening 1500 homes in santa clarita. that's in southern california. detectives say there's no evidence of the person's death that it was crime related. so we want to show you new video of the fire. people in the area ordered to evacuate because of the wild fire consumed more than 31 square miles of brush. fire official say some buildings have burned but it's not clear whether they were homes garages or other buildings. all tolled some 900 firefighters are on the fire line. a wild fire in monterey county led to the evacuation warnings for all areas of the carmel high lan. the fires consume more than -- highlands. the fires consume more than 6500ic aers in steep mountenous valleys. fire officials say that it's 5% contained this morning. crews are getting help on the ground from bay area fire departments. >> the biggest factor in all of it is how remote it is.

application on his cell phone listing the san leandro victim's address. the two men expected to appear in court for arraignment tomorrow afternoon. thousands of walkers are in the bay area this weekend for a worthy cause the avon 39 walk to end breast cancer. and we caught up with the walkers in the park as they finished the first leg of the journey. hundreds of the survivors friends and family all began their walk in san francisco and made the way to the north bay. plenty of cheering sections along the way as well. the walk is raised over 4 million dollars for breast cans are research and support. >> this is my second avon 39 i defendant santa barbara and this year san francisco and this -- i did a santa barbara and this year san francisco and i am a survivor and to be here and be surrounded by all the people, trying to stop this horrible disease is amazing feeling. >> and later today the walkers will be finishing the final 13.1 miles with the celebration
