on interstate-80 in san francisco. is making for a difficuly commute on the bay bridge today. the crash happened on westbound i-80. near the fifth street off- ramp around noon. a motorcycle and two cars were involvled in the crash. c-h-p has not released any information on the extent of any injuries. three lanes of i-80 were shut down. causing backups on the bay bridge. the lanes were reopened around 1:30 this afternoon. a rifle was found on the mcarther bart station platform yesterday. >> vicki:bart police say an employee spotted a case under a bench during the thursday morning commute. a.22-caliber winchester rifle was found inside. bart did not say whether the rifle was loaded. police have yet to associate the gun with a crime. >> vicki:a bicyclist has died from his injuries after being struck this morning by a

the fight against the zika virus continues to accelerate. as this week we learned that two babies with zika-related birth defects have been born in california. catherine heenan is here with the latest -- including the hot spots in florida. >> catherine:florida -- now launching an air war on the mosquitoes that carry the virus. this is one of the planes spraying a 10 square mile area in miami-dade county. florida is a huge concern since it appears that local mosquitoes are transmitting zika. and it's no longer simply a question of people getting infected while traveling abroad. meantime we learned this week that one of the two babies born with zika-related birth defects was delivered at alta bates summit medical center in berkeley.

and today - san francisco's health department reports that '10' city residents have tested positive for zika -- with two new cases diagnosed in the last week. those patients were all infected while traveling abroad - and health authorities say there's no risk to the public. president obama weighed in on the zika problem this week. >> catherine:most people who get infected have symptoms so mild - they don't know they have the virus. the big risk -- is for pregnant women. the c-d-c is now recommending that they get tested for zika. >> grant:all evacuation orders have been lifted for the 'cold fire' which is burning near lake berryess in yolo county. that good news came just this afternoon. crews have also re-opened one lane of highway 128. which had been shut down since the fire started tuesday.

it just got a little more difficult for homeless people to camp under the overpass of an east bay freeway. the city of berkeley has tried several unsuccessful attempts to deter the encampment. kron4's haaziq madyun takes a look at the latest effort to keep people out of the area >> reporter:new fencing has been installed here under the gilman street overpass in berkeley. on thursday caltans crews enclosed this section of gilman with stronger fencing, making it more difficult for campers to cut holes like you see here in this common chainlinked fence on the inside of the overpass. "here is another example, there is a needle right here which is clearly visible" california highway patrol officer sean wilkenfeld says the fence is a much needed deterent in terms of safety "it is in response to a large homeless encampment that we have in the area, we have done a couple of phases to ty to clean up the area that were unsuccessful, so this is the next phase to install more fencing and a little bit larger fencing"
