as manager bruce bochy is currently at a miami hospital. kron 4's mark carpenter joins us with the details. mark? >> reporter:the news came as a total surprise. there's not a lot of detail at this point.and hopefully, that's a good sign. at around 1-30 this afternoon-- the team released a statement saying bochy checked in to the university of miami hospital.after feeling ill. the giants have not given any specifics surrounding bochy's condition. all they are saying is that he is resting comfortably, will be monitored overnight and is expected to rejoin the team tomorrow. so thankfully, this doesn't seem to be too serious. in bochy's absence-- bench coach ron wotus is handling the manager duties. this is not the first time bochy has been unexpectedly admitted to the hospital. last year-- he left spring training.to have heart surgery to insert two stents. it's not known if this latest setback is related to that procedure.

>> grant:a bicyclist who died in a collision with a caltrain south of downtown san jose on friday morning has been identified. the santa clara county medical examiner's office says the man was 54-year-old mauricio orosco. officials say the commuter train hit orosco at the west virginia street railroad crossing around 8 a.m. he was transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries. the death is still under investigation. the collision marked caltrain's eighth fatality this year. police are looking for a truck driver who crashed into a north san jose home and caused a gas leak this morning. it happened on the 3000 block of rowley drive just after 7am.

the driver left the scene on foot and hadn't been found. the truck crashed into a gas riser, which connects the gas meter to a gas line. pg&e was called to the scene. officers say a shelter-in-place order has been issued for residents in the area. there is no estimate for when the leak will be fixed. happening now. delta air lines is trying to recover from a power outage that grounded flights for nearly six hours today. kron four's will tran checks in with stranded passengers at s-f- o. he brings us the story. delta says 450 flights had to be canceled as a result of today's power outage. the company says systems are improving and flights are resuming. but delays and cancellations will continue. delta officals have issued a travel waiver for today's flights. in the meantime. if you are traveling delta this week you are advised to check your flight status through the

richmond police are re-training officers and plan on buying new equipment in response to the recent assassinations of police officers in several cities nationwide. the new equipment would include new ballistic shields and potentially a drone or a rescue vehicle. according to the richmond police chief- officers have been running practice scenarios on how to react to ambush situations. the chief also said officers would be trained to use long guns that the department already has but have yet to issue to officers. we're learning more about the skydiving accident that killed two men saturday in lodi. when their parachute failed to open. >> grant:catherine heenan is here with new information on one

of the victims. we know that 18-year-old tyler turner was one of the people killed. and it was his first ever jump. >> catherine:his mother says it was on his list of things he really wanted to do. tyler was killed along with the instructor who was strapped to him. his mother had accompanied him to the lodi parachute center - and was waiting for him to return. she says his last words to her were 'i love you mom'.and he also stopped to say a prayer before getting onto the plane. the recent high school graduate was born with a mild case of cerebral palsy.but she says he was an adventurous spirit who was always willing to try something new. the two men were killed after plunging into a vineyard in lodi. authorities didn't immediately release the name of the instructor. >> vicki:sheriff deputies have suspended the search for missing sebastopol hiker riley zickel in oregon today. 21-year-old zickel was last seen on the pacific crest trail in the jefferson wilderness area in oregon.

zickel was attending college in oregon, and graduated high school in sebastopol. officials say zickel intended to hike for the day before he went missing. sheriff deputies say more than three-hundred searchers were helping trying to locate zickel.and searched over 350 square miles. sheriff deputies have notified the boy's family. at this hour firefighters are battling a fast-moving wildfire in southern california. the pilot fire, burning in san bernardino county, grew from two square miles to more than seven square miles overnight. the fire started shortly after noon yesterday in the san bernardino national forest. about 55 miles east of los angeles. evacuations have been ordered in the summit valley area. firefighters say there were 20 mile an hour winds in the area, which helped the fire spread. >> grant:the fire is five- percent contained. firefighters battling the 'cold fire' in yolo county near the napa county line. are making ground. on friday at five. we reported that the fire was at 15-percent containment. cal fire says the fire is now 70-percent contained. the fold fire broke out last tuesday near state highway 128
