definitely felt badly about how he made america look. but i don't think he actually apologized for apparently lying. he's sticking by what he said. >> "e.t." has learned the 32-year-old has hired a pr crisis team to handle his image. the firm has also represented justin bieber and alec baldwin. next lochte's timeline, new videos are shedding light on what happened early sunday morning. that's the olympian at 5:47 a.m., with his younger teammates leaving club france, lochte snapchatted video partying inside. just after 6:00 a.m. the swimmers arrived at this rio gas station, where officials say they committed vandalism. although there are conflicting reports about the damage. at 6:09, a security guard points a gun at the car and this is interesting. 20 seconds later the tape jumps ahead, leaving a three-minute gap. meanwhile, for two of the swimmers, it was home sweet home. this morning, jack conger and

but i am sorry. >> this case captivated the world because it had two & essential ingredients for every headline writer. it had money and murder. >> the body of 18-year-old prep school student jennifer levin was found half-naked in central park. police said she had been raped and strangled. >> i was responsible for her death. there's no question about that. >> robert, anything to say? >> robert cham bers was a handsome 19-year-old part-time college student who struggled with drugs. he met levin in a local bar and they left together. chambers claimed it was a case of rough sex gone too far and he was fighting her off. "48 hours" aired the only interview with chambers in 2003. >> i swung her arm, i struck her neck in the throat area and i pulled her off of me to the side. >> did she speak again after she fell to the ground? >> no. i had never seen a dead person before. >> this is the left side of his face. is one deep, severe scratch mark and there's another long mark here.

that tells us she was frantically fighting for her life. >> we revisited the case because it's still as relevant today as it was 30 years ago. it's still raises the question -- you know, how safe are people? how well do you know people? >> chambers was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. the press labeled him the preppy killer. >> this was a guy who could have been a male model. what you didn't see is the dark side. he was a thief, he was a druggie and eventually was a killer. >> actress alex kapp horner who starred in "the new adventures of old christine" was dating chambers at the time. she broke up with him on the night of the murder. "e.t." interviewed her in 1998. >> as a 16-year-old i was so eager. and it was so great to have somebody like me. it's a terrible twist of fate that all that stuff happened. >> he had had an argument in the bar over money. chambers stole from her. >> there was a terrible thing printed in this newspaper article saying if i had -- if i hadn't had a fight with him that

night, she might still be alive and that's, that's -- that's a pretty harsh thing to say for a 16-year-old -- that's just fate. >> billy baldwin played chambers in the tv movie.
