>> reporter:the 49ers wasted absolutely no time in moving on this. miller was booked at 11-25 this morning. 40-minutes later-- the team sent out a statement saying he has been released. if this was his first offense, they may have not moved so quickly. but this marks the 2nd time he's been arrested in a year-and-a- half. this is his mugshot.from march of 2015 when he was arrested on spousal abuse charges. that stemmed from an incident in which. he got into an argument with his then-fiance and allegedly destroyed her cell phone by throwing it against the wall. miller eventually pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor disturbing the peace charge. he had to attend a 16-week domestic violence counseling course.as part of his sentence. over his five-year nfl career, miller has earned himself a reputation for being one of the more durable players in the league. as he's appeared in 77-games, and played in all 16-games in 3 of the last 4-seasons.

last week, state lawmakers passed a bill mandating prison time for similar sex crimes. governor jerry brown has until september 30-th to decide whether he'll sign it. turner must now register as a sex offender for life. in the east bay. two cars have been stolen from a local auto dealer. police have taken one person into custody - after two violent collisions on the 880-freeway. kron4's haaziq madyun shows us where it happened. >> reporter:a three car collision, 2am, near decoto rd here on the 880-freeway. fremont police say one of the vehicles involved in the crash was stolen a few hours earlier from the bay auto used car dealership on peralta blvd. investigators say it appears the suspects got into the office through this window before stealing multiple vehicles >>:"i see this the glass is broken, somebody broke the glass" >> reporter:

alex kamal owns the used car lot across the street from bay auto. he says it is not uncommon for auto thieves to target cars on these lots in this area >>:" had one before, two cars stolen here the same way" >> reporter:fremont police investigators say at 11:30pm sunday night the thieves broke in and stole every key to vehicles on the bay auto lot. at around 2 am police received a call from a bay auto employee saying he was following one of the stolen vehicles. this crash happened soon after. investigators say the driver got out of one stolen vehicles and into another one of the stolen cars. that vehicle was in involved in a solo collision on 880 near tennyson. two suspects took off running. one was arrested. police say the other suspect got away. investigators are reviewing surveillance video from the dealer. they are also interviewing witnesses from both accidents scenes.trying to piece together how many vehicles were stolen and how many suspects were involved.in fremont haaziq madyun kron4news

police are investigating another shooting on an east bay freeway. it happened on northbound 880 last night in oakland.near the high street exit. >> vicki:the c-h-p says a silver mercedes s-u-v was speeding while merging - and the driver hit both a toyota minivan and another car. that's when people in two of the cars began shooting at each other. the suspects ran off.and no one was injured. investigators aren't sure if the shooting and the crash are related. they have a person of interest.

but no arrests have been made. this is the 37th shooting on east bay highways since november of last year. investigators believe most of the shootings have been gang- related. the lobby of the fresno county jail has reopened after an ex- convict shot and critically wounded two unarmed officers. the shooting happened saturday after police say this man thongt of the visitors' line and began pacing nervously. officers were trying to get him to sit down when he opened fire and hit two corrections officers in the head and neck. vang has been booked into jail on attempted murder and other charges. the officers remain hospitalized in critical condition. >> vicki:a former sacramento- based tour boat. capsizes in contra costa county with hundreds of gallons of diesel on board. coming up after the break. the latest efforts to remove the 87-foot boat. and contain a possible fuel spill. >> catherine:then. vandalized more than a dozen times. why one rio vista store owner says she's being targeted. >> vicki:and. tropical storm hermine is making a final push into the east coast on this labor day holiday. while. another storm has formed off the coast of mexico. details after the break.

"i'm sure this is a big problem for us because this is our business and this is our money" the owner of alex auto sale in fremont is frustrated to learn that his used car neighbor across the street, bay auto was targeted by car thieves sunday night. he says more police patrols are needed along this stretch of paralta blvd to deter these crimes "i recommend that the police have to come here almost all of the time, especially in the night time because that is the problem here with the stolen cars" fremont police say an unknown number of thieves broke into bay auto around 11:30pm sunday night and stole keys to all of the vehicles. then they drove at least two stolen vehicles right off the lot. as a precaution the owner has blocked the sidewalk and both driveways to prevent the thieves from coming back and driving off with more cars. just after 2am one of the suspected auto thieves caused a 3 car collision on northbound 880 near decoto road. investigators say the suspect jumped into the passenger seat of another stolen vehicle and drove away. that vehicle was involved in a solo collision on 880 near tennyson. fremont police took one suspect into custody, another suspect got away. in fremont haaziq madyun kron4news the c-h-p is investigating the possiblity of alcohol or drugs as a contributing factor in a car collision that killed 17- year-old izaiah mease early sunday morning. the union city high school football player died when the honda accord he was driving crashed on interstate 8-80 near the west a-street off ramp in hayward. his death has devastated the communiity. mease's two passengers were badly hurt. one was identified today as 16- year old joe ioramo, also of union city. the driver and two passengers in the other vehicle were also injured. a 14-year-old is dead after getting struck and killed while riding his bike in the east bay. the crash happened late last night in oakley, on big break road, near vintage parkway. >> steve:investigators say, the teen was riding on the sidewalk, and then went on to the roadway

to avoid some pedestrians. that's when the teen was hit. the driver did stop and is copperating with police. the teenager's name has not been released. a vacaville man's ride on a suspected stolen bike. has led to a trip to the solano county jail. 37-year-old jason lanyon was arrested on multiple warrants, after rio vista police responded to a report of a stolen bike sunday. a resident had flagged down officers saying, a person was riding what appeared to be their stolen bicycle. the bike turned out to be lanyon's however, the resident said, the tires and rims looked the same as the ones on his stolen bicycle. rio vista police are continuing to investigate. while lanyon sits in jail. >> pam:

changes have been made at the fresno county jail where a shooting critically injured two unarmed corrections officers. >> steve:the shooting happened saturday after police say this man - thong vang- jumped to the front of the visitors line and began pacing nervously. officers were trying to get him to sit down when he opened fire and struck two corrections officers in the head and neck. now the jail has stationed an armed deputy and an armed correctional officer in the lobby where the shootign happened. the suspect has since been booked into jail on attempted murder and other charges. the officers remain hospitalized in critical condition. a lenghty study of global warming is shooting down the idea that pollution can help make the planet greener. plants like carbon dioxide. that is the primary greenhouse gas.
