morning from the east bay multiple people are injured follow a shooting in oakland. it happened at 11:45 pm at the corner of 70.7 -- 77th and bancroft. several people in the hospital and notified on arrest. no officers were injured during the shooting. fraternity members partying as usual this weekend at uc berkeley despite a self-imposed ban after a reported 61 sexual assaults in berkeley over the past six months several of them occurring on campus. >> uc berkeley fraternity council put a self-imposed ban on a social gathering this week. respect they had a party bad? wow i didn't even notice because last night i was going to one. >> the response to sue two

bit around concorde in the north bay along the coast. we go out further and it continues as you can see . we haven't had any statements on this and its lingering for a good period of time this goes out to monday. as it passes over the wind rushes right through that is one feature of our forecast. the rain let's look at that. monday at 1:46 pm there we see rain showers basically to the north bay spurting out overnight and taking us to tuesday morning lingering around giving it a heavy amount of rain in this event but there is more upstream to watch for. middle of the week it a breeder and the dc it redeveloping thursday afternoon and evening overnight carrying us into friday. but this pattern may potentially drift until next weekend and that is something we will continue to watch as it develops.

good morning. thank you for joining us this sunday morning. we have a meteorologist here with the forecast that is changing. >> yes it is you saw the flag hanging there it is going to get a bit more active in 24 hours we are talking about a change in our forecast. nice blue skies happening kind of dark in the foreground but it will change as we go forward and we will probably see a decent amount of sun in most locations. and here's what it is, the view from space. we will have continued stream with club, coming our way but it really didn't do much of an intervention job overnight we had to temperatures up here in the north bay in the 30s and 40s. santa rosa 41 or 45 for nevada, for the 84 napa, 47 fort richmond and in contrast to this time yesterday most readings are behind in some cases almost a half dozen of what they were behind from yesterday. so look ahead, we have a few scattered clouds clear and mild.

monday morning and afternoon showers developing for most and there is a break in the action next week we are talking thursday or friday the rain returns. and then it's a possibility of lingering into next weekend. san francisco 65, and 72 san jose a little warm in the south bay. the next eight hours we declare this out a little bit and will probably see some clout in our forecast to 70s in the inland valleys that 60s pretty much elsewhere. a closer inspection to the rain later. breaking news out of the east bay, seven people were injured after shooting in oakland it happened at 11:45 pm last night on the corner of 77th and bancroft avenue's multiple people in hospital this morning and police have not yet said how many. and in the words of any arrest. no officers were injured during

the shooting. fraternity members party as usual this weekend on uc berkeley despite a self-imposed ban after a reported 61 sexual assaults in berkeley over the past six months. several of them occurring on the campus. we have the details. >> reporter: the uc berkeley fraternity council put a self enforced ban on social gatherings this week. >> they had a party banquet while i didn't notice because last night i was planning to go to one. >> reporter: responding to two separate sexual assault threats last weekend. >> you just respect each other when it does happen. >> but some chose to party on. >> we openly expressed our frustration with those chapters who still had a fence because to us that very much seems like they are not taking the pain of assault survivors seriously. >> reporter: saturday about 100

leaders representing 1500 members gathered at the delta delta delta sorority house to come up with a plan. >> you see someone's drunk or you see a situation that is not okay stop and take care of that number, checking to see if they are okay and that way we can be more accountable for what is going on. >> both sorority and frat representatives agreed to a consent to talk at entry at the door. >> i don't know it's necessary for the most practical thing because realistically someone doesn't want to stand in the doorway for 15 minutes and listen to a presentation on percent. -- consent. >> it's not just greek life party members. >> the organization that oversees frats and sororities says it will continue to look for a solution if the sexual assault problems persist. in the south bay police are looking for a package beef in

san jose. take a look at surveillance video of this home . on the video you see that when working with a stick to a home trying to reach a package behind the gate. she failed to get the package so a man went up to the fence and successfully took one of the packages. san jose police would like you to contact them if you recognize either of the suspects. police are dealing with a similar problem in the north bay looking for a thief stealing packages in the middle of the night in santa rosa. one victim sent us this video a person comes out of the shadows from behind a white, and within seconds is running back to a waiting vehicle with those packages. the victim is a new homeowner and in her note to come on she writes i am so upset they would be good to expose these people. another big story is at&t reaching an agreement to buy time one to buy time 14 $85.5 billion. if approved by the government

at&t would get time warner's media lineup of cnn, tnt, hbo, and the warner bros. film and tv studios. the deal would transform the phone company into a media giant. a tnt proposed $85 billion by follows the $30 billion comcast takeover of nbc universal and verizon's acquisition of the huffington post and yahoo. so as a diving into the frigid waters of the san francisco bay to battle not just the current but blindness for the fifth annual alcatraz swim foresight. what people expected to take part in the event and we report where we were able to speak to the paralympic champion. >> reporter: plus was dissipating this year's alcatraz swim foresight it's all about raising money for all fairness i conditions that cause likeness. this is a cold 2.4 mile swim from alcatraz to the shores of

let's take a look at some of the stories from the week that might impact the bottom line. if you have not yet booked your flight for thanksgiving you might be losing money according to the travel site raimondo each day that you wait could add another two dollars to the ticket of the flight and if you wait until halloween it could go up five dollars per day for an airline reservation. the site says the cheapest round-trip ticket is to leave on thanksgiving and return the next day. that trip they say will cost you an average of $400.

the cheapest days to fly on thanksgiving and the tuesday before thanksgiving. gas prices fell for the first time in weeks the average price went down three cents per gallon . now at $2.22. in oakland at $2.71 four regular gallon of gas, san jose will cost you $2.78 and san francisco the most expensive at $2.91 per gallon. as we taken some some this morning conditions and temperatures will be radically changing as we start to get into our work week . a couple of opportunities for rain showers coming up next. for the weekend how about the sf home of free family day in san francisco you can check out the newly expanded and transformed music museum for second free family day the museum is open from 9:30 am to 5 pm and is free to attend.

thursday and friday that is the next period of time to watch for. and you can see into the early part of the weekend. let's check out what is going on in the east part. 71 for the livermore valley, brentwood checks in at 76. the three day forecast, variable clouds for today and as we get into monday and tuesday you see the showers coming. showers hang in and we have temperatures in the 70s with some subtropical moisture. we can check out the extended forecast for you in a bit. on the peninsula a family has been displaced after fire. the fire caused significant damage to a two-story house on frontera way. the attic, kitchen and several rooms were all damaged but

officials say no one was injured. officials were able to control the fire within about an hour and it is an investigation this morning. cleanup efforts remain underway after a massive water main break caused a huge mess in oakland. the broken pipe has been fixed in the water service restored but as we explained there are still a lot of work to be done. >> reporter: the street looked drier today of the kingdom crews spent hours at the site but less than 24 hours earlier it looks like this. water gushing down montana street and diamond avenue partially submerging cars and causing a sinkhole. it also got into people's basements. >> $1000 of damaged material as were making a bedroom and rumpus room for my son. >> and they make a pile of unsalvageable and salvageable and i'm guessing we will be reimbursed for the reimbursable

-- unsellable. >> for some residents this is the second break in less than two years. they say they get the sense the city is only putting band-aids on the old pipes. >> i think it will happen again. it seems like -- i don't know where the line is moving but earlier it happened at the top of the street in the middle of the street. >> i am just wondering when i'm going to come home at night and walking through 3 feet of water when it is dark . are they going to be here by themselves? >> east bay mud said it is working to avoid incidents like this every year they are replacing 800 they are replacing 802 100 -- 800 -- between 801,000 water mains. police have arrested a couple on charges of forced labor. the couple hired seven women over the past couple of his to

really see them thicken up as you wait for the next rain event that will stop by tomorrow morning concentrated very much up in the north bay. it doesn't really spread out in the general bay area until later in the afternoon. it might even be more of an issue for your commute home then you commute to work tomorrow. this takes us out to about a pity p.m. p.m. -- a 30 p.m. the lingering rain will take us to tuesday morning scattered about to the general bay area. let's check out your forecast . 60s over the east bay shoreline, fremont 72, mid-70s at work in the inland spots as you can see spread out and about. heading to the south a lower 70s and sent to say about 72, campbell about 73, santa clara 73 and up to san francisco at 64, mission district at about 65, most of san mateo county in

that no one was injured. crews were able to control the fire in about an hour and it remains under investigation this morning. >> cleanup efforts after a massive water break left a huge mess. the water service has been restored but there is still a lot of work to be done. >> the street looked much dryer today to clean up crews spent hours after the site but less than 24 hours earlier it looked like this. water gushing down montana street and diamond avenue partially submerging cars and causing a st. paul. it also got into people's basement. >> there is $1000 of damaged material that we were making a headroom and rumpus room for my son. >> and they basically made a pile of unsalvageable and salvageable than guessing mod will win versus for the unsalvageable. >> the city have replaced a portion of the 16 inch water main broke but for some residents this is the second
