admission is 12-dollars for adults and seven-dollars for kids eight and under. skate rentals are an additional six-bucks. there's a lot of buzz today about the bart janitor who's really cleaning up when it comes to his salary. catherine heenan is here with the details on the worker who managed to quadruple his base pay. that san francisco bart janitor made more than 271-thousand dollars last year. 'way' over his base salary -- which is just under 58-thousand. it's raised eyebrows -- but liang zhao zhang apparently did it by working like crazy. a report from 'transparent california' says he worked an average of 114 hours a week last year. his overtime in 2015 amounting to 162-thousand dollars. there were questions about whether a select few bart employees are getting a high concentration of overtime. but bart says he simply signs up for every slot that becomes available.and works pretty much every day of the year cleaning stations. bart also says that he's signing up for overtime that 'is' available to others. 'transparent california' - compiles compensation information for a number of public sector employees. it says even without benefits, the average bart worker made nearly 78-thousand dollars last year -- triple what janitors make in the rest of the country. grant and vicki?

what tragedy strikes the police departments in that state found shot dead in their cars ambush apparently just minutes apart. catherine heenan is here with more on the murders -- and the suspect in custody. the suspect has been arrested.after turning himself in today. he's scott greene -- accused of killing an officer in des moines.and another officer >> catherine:in a suburb a couple miles away. police call it a cowardly ambush. and we're learning that greene was known to authorities. he has a history of trying to provoke.and was kicked out of a high school football game just weeks ago.for displaying a confederate flag.then accusing officers of violating his constitutional rights. members of the community are rallying around their police departments. and colleagues of the two men killed say they're heartbroken.

illegal in california for next week's election. a federal judge today refused to block a state law that bans the practice of people posting pictures on social media. showing how they voted. the american civil liberties union had filed a lawsuit. claiming the ban violates free- speech rights. it is not clear if the a-c-l-u will appeal the ruling. it should be noted a law does take effect at the beginning of next year lifting california's ban for future elections. today's ruling applies to millions of californians. it is estimated a record 19- point-4 million people have registered for tuesday's election. >> reporter: the cameras

new tonight at eight. a fresh analysis of the final moments of doomed malaysia airlines flight 370 -- is revealing some significant information. catherine heenan is here with details on what investigators are now saying. >> catherine:the report from australian agency says the flight was plunging out of control towards the sea when it made its last satellite communication. it's giving us the clearest picture yet of the missing jet's final moments. the flight was descending at up to 25-thousand feet a minute. one expert says this rules out the theory that the pilot was flying the plane in those last moments.since it appears no one was at the controls. it means there was no 'controlled ditch' -- and also helps searchers figure out how far the jet glided. investigators are basing their findings on debris that washed up in tanzania.including the position of the flaps of a wing. the plane disappeared in march of 2014 while headed from malaysia to beijing. 293 people were on board. it's believed the boeing 777 ran out of fuel and dove into a remote patch of the indian ocean. steve and pam?

"this is a really methodical, really detailed process," robinson-leach said. the removal involves stacking special barrels on top of jacks that will reach to just below the section, called a truss, that's targeted for removal. "it almost looks like you're stacking legos up to the truss," robinson-leach said. crews will then cut the section
