nobody requires us to do them nobody checks that we do them they are available for us to do if we want to but other than that that is not a mandated inspection. in the light of the deadly fire -- contra costa county fire officials say they're reviewing past complaints on similar warehouses. in san francisco. the department of building inspection says it had been fielding complaints about alleged illegal warehouses converted for residential use. now - as kron four's philippe djegal reports - more complaints are coming in 'after' the ghost ship fire. this warehouse at 15 duboce avenue in san francisco's mission district. has been on the department of building inspection's radar for several months now. >>:sot- "everybody feels terrible about that tragedy in oakland and we certainly don't want to see anything like that happen in san francisco." the electrical situation looks precarious to say the least.

d-b-i spokesperson william strawn says the warehouse owner has received two notices of violation, appeared for a director's hearing. and, was recently issued a notice of abatement, preventing the owner from possibly selling the building or applying for permits before complying with d- b-i. strawn says complaints allege the commercial building is being used for housing. sot- "that case is still in process. it may be referred to the city attorney for litigation.". the department of building inspection says it currently has a list of about 12 warehouses illegally converted for residential use without a permit. sot- "they don't throw parties here? no, no." bob mendez owns qube autobody in the bayview district on jarrold avenue.

police have arrested this man, huaien kong, in connection to a recent sexual battery case that happened on the campus of san jose state university. and this arrest comes just one day after three separate sexual battery cases were reported on campus. all within the last week. however, police believe all three incidents are not related. kron four's rob fladeboe is following the latest developments for us tonight. and joins us now in san jose with more. rob? >> britteny: they do not think that this man is responsible for all of these incidents here and keeping some others may be involved with more and things of some of the other incidents are going unreported so they are asking students be especially vigilant going forward. and a report anything suspicious years more. ready to fight back if it

a high school teacher at santa teresa high school in san jose has been arrested for an alleged sexual relationship with a student. 32-year-old trudy hill has been charged with sexual assault with a minor and oral copulation. she has been place on leave from her job as an english teacher. the investigation began about 10 days ago when the school district received an email about an alleged relationship with a 17-year-old male student. hill surrendered to the san jose police department yesterday where she posted bail and was released. kron4 spoke with students this morning about the arrest. "i've heard stuff from like

months ago..shocking because no one expected that of her." officials say the school district is supporting the student and his family. anyone with information is asked to call san jose police department. happening now. crews are working to repair a water main break in san francisco. that has closed the intersection of howard street between third and fourth streets. here is video of the scene from earlier today. this is a heavily traveled area.right next to the metreon and it will add some extra traffic into the evening. san francisco public utilities commission initially shut off water for about 200 customers but that has been restored. crews say the water main dates back to 18-95 so age was likely a factor in the break. >> catherine: >> britteny: we're definitely seeing lots of clouds into tonight the rain will start again and we of pileups video and moves their earlier today we definitely saw a visibility

>> catherine:a young woman whose boyfriend was killed in oakland's ghost ship fire says a precious photo has been found - after she asked for help on social media. saya tomioka's boyfriend - griffin madden - was on of the 36-people killed last friday. they'd met at u-c berkeley. when she learned of his death - she posted on facebook hoping to find the photographer who took their picture kissing in new york city's times square. more than 300-shares later.a social media miracle happened.and the photographer posted the photos. tomioka says she's at peace.adding "with help from our family, friends, and strangers.i finally found you." i love this story. people all around the bay area are coming together to show love and support for the vicitms and their families following the devestating warehouse fire. a group from the henry and henry adult day care center made a poster covered with warm wishes and signatures from people living in oakland's lower hills neighborhood. they walked the streets together.and shared how it has been hard to see people in their area hurting after the tragedy last friday night.

the group from henry and henry had the holiday decorated poster laminated so it would last through the rainy weather. they told kron-4 that there were plans to bring it to the main fire vicitm memorial to be hung. what do you do if you're at a party and an emergency like a fire breaks out? if you search online. you may find it difficult to find an answer to that question. in response to the warehouse fire. a local group says it wants people to be prepared. kron four's jeff pierce brings us the story. >> reporter:in the wake of the tragic warehouse fire a group of artists and events producers have come together to quickly create a safety video for improvised venues. in oakland we just had a fire that killed hundreds of friends, community members and artists. my first reaction was a human reaction that this was a community of people and the loss of life was really tragic.

it occurred to me that a lot of people don't know much about fire safety and i looked online and there weren't many videos showing how to be safe in case of a fire so i wanted to create one. the four minute video is aimed at those putting on an improvised venue event to do so in a safe manner. candles with fabric nearby may look very beautiful but can be a disaster. as people who are heading up communities and creating events for our communities, to just make the events safer. we wanted to create a quick and easy resource for improvised venues. what we're hoping when people see it now bookmark it and in six months when they're throwing a party a week before they are watching the video. before the event check each fire extinguisher, but more than fire safety these producers hope that their effort will spur a conversation to prevent what they see as a move to evict artist communities from other warehouse arts collectives. evictions are not the answer and i hope that city officials and landlords work together so that we are not kicking people into the streets. i think this video is a piece of it and i think it does show that we're willing to mobilize and we're willing to respond and safety is a top concern for us because the last thing we want is for something to happen to our friends in our communities. in oakland jeff pierce kron four news. to learn more about 'party fire safety' and to watch the full p- s-a. we have posted a link on our website kron four dot com. >> steve:and tonight, we are remembering those who died in the ghost ship warehouse fire. as we've mentioned -- this is the one-week anniversary of the tragedy..

security eventually was able to get control of the fight. it's unclear if anyone was arrested. kansas city ended up beating oakland last night 21-13 to take control of the afc west. now turning to the ongoing discussion of keeping the raiders in oakland. this afternoon-- the city announced it has a specific plan in place. it's a step forward on a topic that's had so much uncertainty over the last several months. mark carpenter has been tracking this story. and joins us with the latest. up to this point there haven't been many specifics on what exactly the city and the ronnie lott investment group have in store, but now-- details are coming out. and the city and county says it has a plan that 'vigorously competes' with the raid to in a statement released this afternoon-- the city announced here the lott group of investors will be in charge of developing a new football stadium on the coliseum site. there are also plans to create a major 'grand central station' like development around the area to improve the use of bart. .and this proposal even includes the option of a new stadium for the a's if major league baseball wants the team to remain at their current site. the city calls this an economically viable plan that doesn't burden taxpayers. *but no specific financial details were announced. the only numbers reported so far have come from the san francisco chronicle. it announced last week that this entire plan will be funded by 600-million dollars from lott's

working in san francisco and was going to be a barista. but what he really loved was music, he wanted to have a career as a dj. robert says his son was at the warehouse friday night to watch and learn from the other djs working the party. he said it was very difficult to be at the site, but said it was necessary. robert was accompanied to the

warehouse site with edmond's step-sisters. the friend of another fire victim also showed up at the site today. a young man who says he knew the youngest of the victims -- 17- year-old draven mcgill. mcgill went to the ruth asawa school of the arts in san francisco and lived in dublin. friends say he was an aspiring musician. the classmate says he ad just talked to draven a few days earlier and still cannot believe he is gone.

mcgill's father works for the alameda county sheriff's office. in the aftermath of the ghost ship fire a lot of questions are being asked about what this tragedy will mean for the city of oakland in the long term. pressure is already being placed on city officials to keep this from happening again while owners and residents at other warehouses are worried they could have their lives upended. this afternoon, kron 4's charles clifford spoke with a prominent east bay defense attorney who says there are a lot of people worried about their futures. charles... >> reporter: the as the odor of the building folks who are worried 11 other warehouses the mighty worried they will lose their homes and others said that with the state defense attorney who says he's heard from what people seeking advice on possible legal action but most of the folks he's
