if tornadoes touched down and caused the deaths. but, tornado warnings were issued to parts of georgia overnight. we'll continue to monitor the situation this morning. >> marty:another big story we are following this morning. the women's march. here are some videos from yesterday's march where thousands of people across the bay area came together. there were rallies in oakland, san jose and san francisco's city hall. despite wet weather and high winds across the bay area. women's march organizers say around a hundred-thousand people took part in these demonstrations. and millions of people marched in cities around the world. kron four's j-r stone takes a closer look and shows us the demonstrations from d-c to boston to austrialia. and president donald trump responded to the women's march this morning on twitter.

>> marty: for your moey:. here are the stories from the week -- that could impact your bottom line. it will soon cost you more to park at some east bay bart stations. parking at concord, north concord, west oakland, hayward and the coliseum bart stations are going up fifty cents a day. it will cost you three dollars to park there come february sixth. increases to the parking prices are based on demand evaluated every six months. a bart spokesperson says they have added spaces where they can, but there is not room to build more parking slots. uber has to pay a 20-million dollar settlement in a lawsuit by the federal trade commission

"this culvert has been here for over 25-years, 30-years and handled the rain, all o a sudden this rain here it didn't handle it." but this driveway isn't the only storm damage on his property. graceland equestrian center. hillsides have started to slide and roads have given way. outside his home. crow canyon and norris canyon have been shut down on several occasions since the storm started.

"for the past three weeks, it's been on and off, on and off. it's been flooded, there's trees everywhere, mudslides everywhere, it gets pretty bad."

in fact. crow canyon just reopened after a tree fell on a car on friday. "so we have to go all the way around and it's hard for us because we're driving everywhere to get home." but people here know. it will only get worse as the rain continues. happening tomorrow. the popular east bay bar and grill crogan's is set to close its doors after 39 years. according to the company's facebook page the doors will officially be closed on january 23rd. according to the owners, the city of walnut creek is moving in a direction where crogan's no longer fits in. crogan's has had issues. including having its license suspended for 20-days because of numerous police calls for fights, assaults and public intoxication.

they are open until 12:30 this morning. an 18 year veteran of the redwood police department died while on duty. officer gerardo silva was discovered unconscious and not breathing at the police department headquarters on friday his wife, also an employee at the redwood city police department was immediately called to his side. silva was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead from natural causes. he leaves behind two daughters and two grandchildren. silva was 57 years old. next on kron four news weekend. the warriors were stuck in houston for hours after their last game. we'll explain why and preview their early morning match-up in orlando. live look outside. richmond bridge >> marty:here's a look at the kron 4 radar. we are seeing a lot of scattered showers right now. for the weekned. it's zumba in the park fitness party in san francisco. come out and enjoy a free zumba fitness party. it's all happening from 2:00 to 4:00 at the county fair building. the event isfree to attend.

about the waves and i had no idea what this foam was." the high surf and high wind warnings won't expire until sunday morningand the rain will have taken over by then. at san francisco's ocean beach, spencer blake, kron four news. in the south bay. kron four's philippe djegal spent the afternoon in san jose where an estimated 30-thousand people showed up for the women's march. nats- "when women unite, we standup and fight." empowered by strength in numbers. some 25-thousand women, young girls, men and boys beset by president donald trump's inauguration. settle on cesar chavez park for one of the largest demonstrations the city of san jose has ever seen. sot- "i love knowing that there's a lot of people who think the same as i do." women's rights and equality deeply personal and passionate issues for anne bailey. who drove up from clovis to

meet with her 14-year-old god daughter clara duran. they shared this powerful moment together. sot- "feels amazing. i like as a community, as um, we can agree on something and accept eachother." nats- "whoooo." before descending on the park. this large crowd joined at city hall. san jose mayor sam liccardo posted his office view of the gathering on twitter with the hashtag. "this is what democracy looks like." nats- "whooo."

mayor liccardo then greated warmly on stage. sot- "protecting our immigrant community, standing up for the rights of women, uh, insuring that we have affordable healthcare, um, for all our community. um, people are very committed. we're very united. and, it's a incredible contrast to the divisions that we see in our nation today." women still believe in this country. sot- "there's more than just one person that can do it, it takes everyone to make this world a whole." and, that includes members of the lgbtq community, which has a strong message for president trump. sot- "you will not break any of us." sot- "and, uh, after the end of four years, we're going to say, mr. trump, you're fired." nats- "si, se puede." women, standing together, fearful of the direction this new adminstration wants to take this country. and, many men back them. pictures are worth a thousand words. in san jose, philippe djegal, kron four news. and a number of prominent figures and celebraties spoke out at the women's march on washington. they were lending their name and fame to offer support. officials say the crowd was so big, that they were unable to guide the march to the white house. an estimated 500 thousand people attended the demonstration. in world news. officials say the number of people found alive in the rubble of an avalanche in central italy, is rising. eleven people have been found alive, including two children. four people have been found dead and 20 others are still missing in the avalanche which flattened a mountain resort. here is video showing the helicopter rescue efforts. about 30 people were inside the hotel when an avalanche buried the building on wednesday. crews are still working to find more survivors. this weekend's premiere of " a dog's purpose" has been canceled following he release of a controversial video. here's pasrt of the video in question. it appears to show a frightened dog being forced into water during production of the film. universal pictures says its production team followed rigorous protocols to foster an ethical and safe environment for the animals. the crew says they trained

obama's team announced on january ninth they had put in place a reduction for those taking out government-backed home loans. the cut was a quarter of a percentage point. and was supposed to go into effect on january 27th. the f-h-a says it would have saved homeowners an average of 500-dollars this year. but the department of housing and urban development said friday that the reduction has been "suspended indefinitely." in other political news. white house press secretary sean spicer is on the attack. p during a press conference, he called out the media for inaccurately reporting on the size of the crowd at the inauguration. spicer said the numbers tweeted about the crowd size were

inaccurate. the reason, he says the national park service, which controls the national mall does not put out numbers on crowd sizes. spicer also said the same statement goes for the number of protesters as well. : "this was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration period, both in person and around the globe." butted to "photographs of the inaugural proceedings were intentionally framed in a way in one particular tweet to minimize the enormous support that gathered on the national mall. this is the first time, in our nation's history that floor coverings have been used to protect the grass on the mall. that had the effect of highlighting areas people were not standing where as in years past, the grass elimited this visual." spicer did confirm that the area from inaugural platform to the washington monument can hold over 700-thousand people. he also noted that the "new york times" printed a photograph showing the misrepresentation of the crowd in the original tweet. in national news. new york state is making sure women continue to have access to free abortion and birth control. new york governor andrew cuomo announced the new state regulations yesterday. coinciding with the women's marches around the world. there was concern that women would lose access to the services if obamacare is repealed. the state's new measures ensure insurance companies will continue to not charge co-pays or deductibles for contraceptive drugs and devices. coverage for abortion services

>> marty:take a look at this. nasa has relesed this breath- taking video from pluto. it's actually a compilation of more than 100 high resolution images taken by nasa's new horizon spacecraft. the images were taken over six months. as the spacecraft flew by pluto in july 2015. it took new horizon nearly 10 years and three-billion miles to get there. pluto used to be considered the 9th plant from the sun -- but it was later reclassified as a "dwarf planet." controversy over president trump's inauguration cake has ended on a sweet note. food network star duff goldman tweeted friday that trump's "buttercream bakeshop" cake looked a lot like the one made for obama's second swearing-in. stirring up a bit of controversy. the owner of washington's "buttercream bakeshop"-- took to instagram saturday to settle the issue. mac-isaac said she encouraged the client to use the 20-13 cakes as an inspiration but they wanted that exact cake.

so in other words, it was more or less the same. a highway in wisconsin was covered with thousands of red skittles. take a look at this. it turns out the sweet treats were going to be given to cows. some farmers are putting skittles in their cattle feed. they say it is a cheaper source of feed for the cows but it must be done with caution. according to farmers, in moderation, skittles can provide a cow with extra energy.

happening tomorrow. the popular east bay bar and grill crogan's is set to close its doors after 39 years. according to the company's facebook page the doors will officially be closed on january 23rd. according to the owners, the city of walnut creek is moving in a direction where crogan's no longer fits in. crogan's has had issues. including having its license suspended for 20-days because of numerous police calls for fights, assaults and public intoxication. they are open until 12:30 this morning. an 18 year veteran of the redwood police department died while on duty. officer gerardo silva was discovered unconscious and not breathing at the police department headquarters on friday his wife, also an employee at the redwood city police department was immediately called to his side. silva was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead from natural causes. he leaves behind two daughters and two grandchildren. silva was 57 years old. next on kron four news weekend. the warriors were stuck in houston for hours after their last game. we'll explain why and preview their early morning match-up in

we are tracking the storm this morning. you are taking a live look at kron four storm tracker. with all the rain that has been coming down lately in the bay area, officials are concerned with coastal areas that are dealing with high winds and high surf. kron four's spencer blake explains. during saturday's high surf warning.swells reached 25 feet and higher. there wasn't a surfer to be found at ocean beach. at least -- not in the water. "everybody's pretty focused on the waves. it's really wild out there. i 'd probably be out there, but it's even a little over my head right now." but turn your head inlandand you'll see jeff knowles taking advantage of the high *wind warning instead.

"people have different names for it. you could call it wind skating or something like that." with 40 to 50 mile-an-hour winds to carry himknowles couldn't resist a little do-it-yourself mode of transportation. "it's just a skateboard with kind of a makeshift windsurfing sail put onto it." with a hole drilled in the boardsome p-v-c pipe to hold onto, and masking tape to hold it all together, he created a masterpiece saturday morning. people who weren't watching him were watching another
