come down."it was stable enough that we didn't feel like we had to hurry and rush the demolition any more quickly than we already were." so the city is footing the 330-thousand-dollar billso the building doesn't have the chance to plunge into the ocean below.you can see in the video from our helicopter partnership with a-b-c seven news how close the apartments were to the edge.in fact, the excavators had to stay 40 feet away during the entire project. the contractor has also been trying to protect the ocean. "what they did is they had their own drones taking a look at any debris that might have fallen down. just a precaution."now, the city is looking for grants to help shore up the bluffhoping to prevent the future demolition of anything farther inland. "definitely we'll do everything we can to protect the street, because the street and all the infrastructure within the street is the responsibility of the city."as for the third of a million dollars the city spent on the project"we're still working through the courts to try and get reimbursed, but we still don't know what to expect." soon you can expect to see large gravel on the slowly shrinking lot.where people's homes once stood. the project should wrap up in the next two to three days.the city has no expectation that anything else will be built here.live in pacifica, spencer blake, kron four news.

it was packed, i've seen pictures of it. we had extra bleachers filling every nook and cranny with people.the stadium was built in 1950, predating houston's most iconic sports venue, the astrodome by 15 years. aside from upgrading the bleachers from wood to aluminum, and removing the north endzone for a new training facility, the stadium is as it was 67 years ago.16:00:42some of our fans harken back to the day when they were five-years-old, six- years-old, coming to a game here, and now they've got grandkids that they're bringing to games here. not much has changed.along with hosting the super bowl, rice stadium was also home to the houston oilers in the 60s. it's hosted high school state championships and provided the stage for kennedy's most famous speeches.go to the decade and do the other because they are easy, but because they are hard.i think it's the city. i think it's important to rice university as a whole. i think it's why it sits hasn't been you've seen a places do. that only to the to the city.things full hosting the week as they prepare for sunday's game ... time for a check on weather.... hope you've enjoyed the nice weather over the last few days......because we're headed for another stormy spell...
