sot/tc: they are very nice. kron four reached out to both hospitals where the 2 survivors were taken to in riverside, one person is in critical condition, the other was stable. we also reached out to the coroner who tells us that they are workign to identify all of those killed in the crash. te another big story we're following tonight... president trump is expected to once again tackle the thorny issue of immigration in his speech to congress tonight.. it's happening as san francisco's district attorney is reaching out to try and soothe the fears of undocumented victims of crime. the president's speech - an attempt to hit 're-set' on the turbulent early days ofhis time in office - is scheduled to begin in about an hour.
5:02 pm
we're hearing that he may be open to a compromise of sorts when it comes to immigration legistation. we'll have more on that in just a bit. but first... we hear from kron4's maureen kelly... who was there today as san francisco's district attorney reaffirmed his commitment to undocumented mexican immigrants who witnessed... or were victims of a crime. honestly i would think about it twicethe 18 year old undocumented man who i met outside the mexican consulate in san francisco says he's not sure if he'd come forwardif he were a victim or a witness to a crime....especially nowto come forward to the cops now and tell them i witnessed a crime....maybe they'd want to know me or where i'm from and honestly it's not all that good with trump and all that stuff.all that stuff being a call for deporting massive amounts of illegal immigrants and building a wall on the mexican border.....which the president used as a platform to get elected....has made moves that signal these were not empty promises made on the campaign trail.a lot of people

ethnicity, or creating a database of individuals on the basis of religion, national origin, or ethnicity. supporters were grateful the city has followed through with this. the idea of san francisco being a sanctuary city is a beautiful concept , what we need to ask is what does that look like in terms of how our law enforcement or bureaucracy operates and how safe our communities are day to day at work and on the street and so to explicit rejection of any participation in a muslim registry related to country of origin or faith is a really important articulation of what sanctuary means.
