and with this latest storm in the bay area. the anderson reservoir is now at 99 percent capacity this morning. and again there is serious concern that with the ongoing rain, it might spill over. we will continue to monitor conditions in the south bay our team coverage of the rain continues this morning. let's head to the east bay... kron four's ella sogomonian shows us some of the conditions in berkeley. just when we thought it was over - the rain has come upon us once again.it's in the low 50s right now we had a few beautiful sunny days giving us a break from some torrential rain these past few months. so drivers again make sure your cars are in working condition and look out for those potholes.here near the uc berkeley campus many people are still enjoying their saturday night braving the elements. they say they are forgoing their own comfort and are instead pleased to see the wet weather continuing to help out a region that has just come out of a 6 year drought. think that dictates how i feel about it. i think it's something really good for california right now. i can appreciate the rain because of the drought but other than that i can't wear my crop top so that's one thing."the rain is going to stay with us these next two days but the sun will come up on tuesday again.stay safe out there. in berkeley ella sogomonian kron 4 news. the power plant at the oroville dam is shut down this morning. it's all because workers are making improvements to the dam and increasing it's capacity. after a successful restart of the hyatt power plant temporary shutdown began around 10:00 in the morning friday. the channel at the bottom of the dam is being deepened so more water can be released in the future. the shutdown is expected to for at least another day.

for your money: . here are the stories from the week -- that could impact your bottom line. the average price of gas is up two cents a gallon nationally over the past two weeks. it is now at $2.29 cents for regular unleaded. analysts say the slight rise in price is due to small increases in crude oil and wholesale gas prices. the national average is up 56

three people are recovering this morning after an accident demolished the cab of their truck. we first brought you this story yesterday on kron four news weekend. it happened just before 8:30 in the morning in the portola district of san francisco. the big-rig was cruising on highway 101 north when it came upon slower traffic. the driver swerved to avoid hitting another car. and that sent the truck over the guard rail and onto the street below. bystanders saw the crash and pulled the driver and two passengers out of the wreckage. all three were taken to

the hospital with minor injuries. the cause of the crash is under investigation. the u-s is putting on hold expedited processing for "h-one-b" visas. those visas help highly skilled foreign workers get jobs in the u-s. right now their employers can pay an extra fee if they want their applications to be processed faster. but immigration officials now say the expedited processing will be suspended on april third and that could last for up to six months. there's no official explanation for the move. the change comes as the trump administration is reportedly drafting a new version of his executive order on travel and immigration. the new draft of the travel ban could be signed as early as tomorrow. according to an administration official... the signing will be at the department of homeland security. two sources say the new executive order will replace the old one that's stalled in federal courts. that order temporarily banned travelers from seven muslim-majority countries from travelling to

the u-s. it also banned entry to áallá refugees. sources say the new ban will not affect green card holders and people who already have visas. in other national headlines. the white house is demanding congress to investigate whether president obama abused his executive powers... this all in connection with the 20-16 election. in a series of tweets, president trump says the obama administration wiretapped phones at trump tower during the presidential campaign. andrew spencer has more. president donald trump made the accusation as he has made many others: in a tweet from his personal twitter account. it reads, "terrible! just found out that obama had my 'wires tapped' in trump tower before the victory."trump offered no evidence to support his accusation.a spokesperson for former president barack obama released a statement saying, "a cardinal rule of the obama administration was that no white house official

a major explosion on the bart tracks causes a big electrical fire at the walnut creek bart station. this fire shut down service between the rockridge and pleasant hill stations... leaving hundreds of passengers trapped on trains and stranded at

stations for hours. the passangers were evacuated from the bart trains safely. kron 4's lydia pantazes was in walnut creek and shows us what happened. (pkg)dramatic video of explosions at the bart station in walnut creek..this is video from our helicopter partnership with abc 7 news. about 30-feet south of the platform passengers sit... stranded on a train."the train stopped and lights started flickering, all the air went off."but passengers we talked to had no idea what was happening near their train. "all of a sudden we came to a stop and then all of a sudden we heard fire trucks."the explosions started at about 5:40pm."when we got here there were still some of the explosions and pops going on from the substation."the substation is located at the north end of the platform in walnut creek beneath the tracks."it's basically a giant electrical room that's at the tracks, it's the room that actually powers the tracks for bart so that's where the fire was at."the fire affected trains east of the walnut

and we first told you about this big bart explosion - through a push alert. it went out to phones around 6:02 last night. be the first to know about breaking news through the kron four mobile app. it is free to download for all apple and android devices. in other bay area headlines. a credit card "skimmer" is found on an a-t-m in pacifica. the device was found at the seven-eleven on clarendon road thursday. officials say a customer using the a-t-m noticed a piece of wire stick out of the top of the pin pad. he then discovered a false bottom on the device. investigators found a pinhole camera conncted to an illegal card reader device attached to the a-t-m. according to police... when the card is inserted into the skimmer-- the account information is stored on the device. police are advising a-t-m users to be aware of suspicious looking equipment... and always block pin numbers when entering them.

in the east bay. immigration advocates and faith leaders stood outside the county jail in richmond... they called for the release of detained undocumented immigrants being held there. kron four's phillipe djegal reports. it's been 10 months since the martinez family has shared a moment like this together at home in the napa valley. that's how long 41-year-old oswaldo martinez has been held at the west county detention facility in richmond... an undocumented immigrant who has lived in the united states for more than 20 years... detained by immigration and custom's enforcement -- now facing deportation -- triggered by misdemeanor crimes community organizers pleading for his release say he committed more than 15 years ago.sot- "oswaldo is no danger to our community and the real danger is if we was deported and his family was left behind."nats- 'they've just come out of a visit today at th;e detention center." martinez's wife and 10-

came together on saturday in the hope of addressing those issues.we have some mold, bugs, and these are not good conditions either for us and our kids.olga perez showed me where an infestation of cockroaches enters her modest apartment.nat soundher bathroom has constantly had mold reccuring. this child lies just feet from worn carpeting and a moldy door frame. complaints to building maintainence have gone unanswered but the unstainable blow came when they were told there would be large increases in their rent.to get anywhere from one hundred to three or four and i even heard as much as five hundred dollar increases while staying in your tenancy that's a hardship and that's a burden on a family and sacrifices need to be made just to maintain housing and some housing within these units are bad building conditionsso they took their complaints directly to the home of their landlord who lives in hillsborough on the peninsula.the manager

a san francisco based review site will soon sort businesses based on bathrooms. yelp announced a new feature that will tell users which businesses offer gender- neutral bathrooms. businesses can self-report the availability to bathrooms with a single, locking stall. customers can also report on them. the company plans to have enough data on the bathrooms in a few weeks. that means yelp users will be able to search specifically for businesses that offer gender-neutral bathrooms. yelp's c-e-o has been a vocal critic of laws that force people to use bathrooms for genders they do not identify with. happening now. an east bay school district and

a good day) put me on that if you want to if i find out it's going to be a problemlooks like i'm going to have a problem yup, we are teaching our children well. notin rodeo stanley roberts kron 4 news a texas community came together to help a child receive the gift of sight... christian card-een-as is a four- year- old boy who is legally blind... with the help of his community, he has a whole new way to look at life. he was surprised at his elementary school and was given a pair of electronic glasses called e-sight. these glasses have a camera, which captures what is in front of a user, in high definition. it then enhances the image into a format where the legally blind can actually see. surrounded by family and friends ... christian was able to see his grandmother's face... and his friend's faces for this first time.

cartoon about rescue dogs may have helped save a woman's life. jaxon lopez was visiting his grandmother when he saw a neighbor bleedng on her garage floor. the fan of "paw patrol" knew exactly what to do. he ran to his mother saying "help, help" and led her to the woman's yard. while his mother called 9-1-1, he alerted his grandmother. three people are recovering this morning after an accident demolished the cab of their truck. we first brought you this story yesterday on kron four news weekend. it happened just

before 8:30 in the morning in the portola district of san francisco. the big-rig was cruising on highway 101 north when it came upon slower traffic. the driver swerved to avoid hitting another car. and that sent the truck over the guard rail and onto the street below. bystanders saw the crash and pulled the driver and two passengers out of the wreckage. all three were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. the cause of the crash is under investigation. the u-s is putting on hold expedited processing for "h-one-b" visas. those visas help highly skilled foreign workers get jobs in the u-s. right now their employers can pay an extra fee if they want their applications to be processed faster. but immigration officials now say the expedited processing will be suspended on april third and that could last for up to six months. there's no official explanation for the move. the change comes as the trump administration is reportedly drafting a new version of his executive order

a major explosion on the bart tracks causes a big electrical fire at the walnut creek bart station. this fire shut down service between the rockridge and pleasant hill stations... leaving hundreds of passengers trapped on trains and stranded at stations for hours. the passangers were evacuated from the bart trains safely. kron 4's lydia pantazes was in walnut creek and shows us what happened. the u-s is putting on hold expedited processing for "h-one-b" visas. those visas help highly skilled foreign workers get jobs in the u-s. right now their employers can pay an extra fee if they want their applications to be processed faster. but immigration officials now say the expedited processing will be suspended on april third and that could last for up to six months. there's no official explanation for the move. the change comes as the trump administration is reportedly drafting a new version of his executive order on travel and immigration. the new draft of the travel ban could be signed as early as tomorrow. according to an administration official... the signing will be at the department of homeland security. two sources say the new executive order will replace the old one that's stalled in federal courts. that order temporarily banned travelers from seven muslim-majority

a major explosion on the bart tracks causes a big electrical fire at the walnut creek bart station. this fire shut down service between the rockridge and pleasant hill stations... leaving hundreds of passengers trapped on trains and stranded at stations for hours. the passangers were evacuated from the bart trains safely. kron 4's lydia pantazes was in walnut creek and shows us what happened. victims and the suspect are all in stable condition this morning. no officers were injured. in other bay area headlines. a credit card "skimmer" is found on an a-t-m in pacifica. the device was found at the seven-eleven on clarendon road thursday. officials say a customer using the a-t-m noticed a piece of wire stick out of the top of the pin pad. he then discovered a false bottom on the device. investigators found a pinhole camera conncted to an illegal card reader device attached to the a-t-m. according to police... when the card is inserted into the skimmer-- the account information is stored on the device. police are advising a-t-m users to be aware of suspicious looking equipment... and always block pin numbers when entering them. in the east bay. immigration advocates and faith leaders stood outside the county jail in richmond... they called for the release of detained undocumented immigrants being held there. kron four's
