( marty @ landing ) breaking overnight... high tensions overseas. one man is dead after officials say he tried to seize a weapon from a soldier at the paris orly airport. this is video of the scene. officials say the man was shot by police. no other injuries are being reported. 3-thousand people were evacuated while police searched for accomplices. bomb squad officers rushed to the scene as well. air traffic has been suspended at the airport, with some flights rerouted to paris charles de gaulle airport. the man was linked to an earlier car jacking incident in a paris suburb in which the suspect shot an officer with a b-b gun. paris orly airport is france's second-busiest airport with international and domestic air traffic. the shooting follows a similar

( marty @ landing) breaking news out of san francisco. several people are displaced after an apartment fire in chinatown. kron 4's averi harper is live from the scene with more. averi? (averi) a fire broke out at an apartment building in san francisco's chinatown this morning and crews are currently on the scene cleaning up, fire officials said. at 3:37 a.m., the san francisco fire department received a report of a fire at 39 waverly place. according to fire officials, the two-alarm blaze came from the third floor of the apartment building and caused moderate to extensive damage. there is only damage to a portion of structure and not the entire building. at 4:04 a.m., firefighters had the fire under control. crews rescued one elderly victim who suffered smoke injuries that

are not considered life- threatening. officials do not know yet how many residents are displaced, but said that the red cross and city the scene to assist. firefighters are scene cleaning up and investigating the cause of the fire. as of 5 a.m., the 100 block of waverly place is shut down, fire officials said. ( marty ) a big story we are following this morning.. another police shooting in the bay area. this after a naked man led police on a chase in san jose. it all happened around 1:30 yesterday when police responded to a call of a naked man acting erratically at valerie drive and eva court. police say the man fled from them in a blue dodge ram pickup truck, running into a police car and starting a high- speed pursuit in the process. he was also involved in at least one crash during that pursuit. the chase ended

when the man crashed head-on into a police suv that was blocking the driveway a shopping center. at least two officers fired about a dozen shots at the truck.a witness tells kron four what ( marty ) no officers were injured during the incident. ( marty @ landing ) in the east bay. we are learning more this morning about a recent police shooting in antioch. where police shot a man who they say rammed into a police car during a chase thursday night. the suspect was injured but is alive this morning. here is what the scene looked like just before the shooting. ( marty ) it happened after 10:00

on mokelumne drive. police were responding to a shooting, when they tried to pull over a suspect believed to be involved. that person refused to stop and led them on a chase. during the pursuit, police say the suspect rammed a patrol car and police then fired at him. we talked with neighbors in the area who say they are used to shootings on nearby highway four.

19- freeway shootings so far this year in the bay area.. one of those shootings happened thursday night along highway- 101 san jose. kron 4's ella sogomonan reports a 17-year-old boy was hit by gunfire and the shooter still on the loose. concern has given way to suspicion for oakland native johnny feazell and others we spoke with after they've noticed a rise in freeway shootings.johnny feazell, east bay commuter "every time i come to a stop now i find myself looking to the left and right of me."these days east bay commuters in particular say they're suspecting of other drivers that surrounded them on many times packed highways. christine ouch, east bay commuter"it affects a lot of people because everybody is sitting in traffic all the time."denise marshall-thomas, east bay commuter"i commute on the freeways all the time and i've very afraid of what could happen."in a press conference friday california highway patrol confirmed the increase in gun violence on local freeways in the past two years. they reported 37 shootings in 2015.that number went up to 55 last year. and so far- 19 were reported this year alone.most

shootings were said to have happend in contra costa county on interstate 80 and highway 4. chief paul fontana, california highway patrol golden gate division"chp warns those that think they can hide on a dynamic freeway environment to commit their crimes. that the chp is on high alert and we will catch you."so far - more than 2 dozen people tied directly to freeway shootings have been arrested and charged. chief fontana added most incidents were gang related.so to combat the problem law enforcement are going after gang members.chp will also add more patrols and are looking to funding for more freeway cameras."there are cameras on the streets and there is still incidents happening.""i'm not sure if it will stop it but it may hinder some people.""it will be a great deterrent to make people think twice." ( marty @ landing ) in the east bay. a tuberculosis scare is causing concern at a high school in fremont. the alameda county public health department confirms someone at irvington high school has tested positive for the rare lung disease.. the school's principal says the t-b exposure happened between the fall of 20-16 through winter. the fremont unified school district says anyone potentially exposed will

receive a letter from the health department advising the student or staff member should get tested for t-b. from a main door to the mansion. secret service officials are trying to figure out why things went wrong. ( marty ) happening now. an investigation is underway after a laptop is stolen from a secret service agent's car in brooklyn. this is according to two senior law enforcement officials in new york.. they said the laptop has sensitive information, is highly encrypted, and contains floor plans and evacuation protocol for trump tower. the agent's lapel assignment pins were also stolen., these pins gave the agent access to security details. the agent described the incident as a compromise of national security. marty ) it happened after 10:00 on mokelumne drive. police were responding to a shooting, when they tried to pull over a suspect believed to be involved. that person refused to stop and led them on a chase. during the pursuit, police say the suspect rammed a patrol car and police then fired at him. we talked with neighbors in the area who say they are used to shootings on nearby highway four.

( marty @ landing ) breaking overnight... high tensions overseas. one man is dead after officials say he tried to seize a weapon from a soldier at the paris orly airport. and we're now learning that the attacker has been on authorities radar for suspected islamic extremism. officials say the man was shot by police. no other injuries are being reported. 3- thousand people were evacuated while police searched for accomplices. police say the attacker is a 39-year-old born in france. prosecuters say the suspect's house was searched in november 20-15, right after the suicide bomb and gun attacks that killed 130 people in paris. air traffic has been suspended at the airport, with some flights rerouted to paris de gaulle airport. the

( marty ) it happened after 10:00 on mokelumne drive. police were responding to a shooting, when they tried to pull over a suspect believed to be involved. that person refused to stop and led them on a chase. during the pursuit, police say the suspect rammed a patrol car and police then fired at him. we talked with neighbors in the area who say they are used to shootings on nearby highway four.
