( will ) breaking news from overnight... a man is shot and killed in the east bay and the shooter is still on the loose. it happened just after 8:30 last night in antioch. when police arrived on the 700 block of 'k' street, they found a man had been shot. he was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery but died a

short time later. police have not released any information about the gunman or what may have led up to the shooting. ( will ) other breaking news... a one-year-old girl is dead this morning after she drowned in concord. this happened yesterday, just before 5:00 in the evening. this was on the 21-hundred block of leland way. the girl's parents first reported her missing. family members and police searched the area for several minutes... they then found the child unconscious in a backyard swimming pool. officers performed c-p-r and the girl was taken to a hospital where she later died. ( will ) he is accused of a distrubing crime.. and this morning, we're learning more about a man police say drugged and sexually assaulted a teenage girl. and they say this man, timothy marble, even carved his name into the girls skin. officers say the girl jumped out of the man's vehicle just to escape from him. kron four's spencer blake has details from napa.

sonoma county deputies say timothy marble is the man responsible for sexually assaulting a child, and injuring her in other frightening ways.one of his neighbors says she doesn't see him around all that often."he lived two places down, but i don't really know him. i just see him coming and going." deputies responded to marble's 9-1-1 call early saturday morning on harbour way in bodega bay.he said his passenger had jumped out of his moving car.that's when detectives say the girl came out of the bushes, clearly hurt from the jump, and said marble had raped her. standup "detectives say the girl had run away from home on thursday, and ended up at this shell station in the middle of the night. that's when, she says, marble convinced her to get into his red pickup truck." he took her, the arrest report says, to the country, where the two smoked pot, and marble made sexual advances.the girl rejected them, and says marble then tied her to a tree and sexually assaulted her."this is surprising to think of somebody that's just two houses down from where i live, ya know, and with all the kids

then and a fight between guests and the posse broke out. that's when police say the 23 year old suspect pulled out a gun and started shooting. five men were shot in the process.sot - there's a lot of ambulancewitnesses say one of the victims was able to run into the street, then collapsed. investigators shut down surrounding blocks, and emergency services rushed the victims to the hospital. bernabe sabater - not only one but a lot of stretchers coming down lights were blinking all aroundthroughout all the chaos, neighbors tell me partygoers were able to detain the suspect until police arrived.elisa sabater sot - i'm so scared. very very scared this is an ongoing investigation. police continued to patrol the area on sunday. the suspect, whose name isn't being released at this time, is being charged with a number of felonies including assault with a deadly weapon. reporting in pittsburg ( will ) we now know what caused a multi-car crash that

injured 14 people and shut down part of highway 4 in anitoch. this happened around 6:00 saturday night on the westbound lanes of highway four, between the a street and hillcrest off-ramps. c-h-p says a toyota sedan, with 7 people inside stopped on the highway behind a bumper that was in the roadway. that's when a minivan with three people inside hit it, setting off a chain-reaction crash. four people were airlifted to the hospital. one of them, a 14-year old girl is still in critical condition this morning.

( will ) s-f-p-d is asking the public to help identifiy a man suspected of stealing about $100 grand in jewelry from a store in chinatown. this happened back on february 24th at a jewelry store on waverly place. police say the theif broke through the front window of the stor and stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry. the man was then seen running south on waverly place and then east on sacramento street. there is no clear descrption of the theif as of this morning. ( will ) in one east bay neighborhood, more than 20 vehicles had their tires slashed. concord police say it happened on three different streets some time overnight on saturday. we highlighted the targeted areas on this map... they are denkinger court, armand drive and dianda drive in concord. the police department also posted a picture on facebook of some of the damage. at this point, the motive behind the slashings are unclear..

police are asking people who live in the neighborhood to check the footage on their home surveillance systems. ( will ) drivers should expect delays near the carquinez bridge toll plaza this morning. caltrans will be performing emergency pavement repair work. the work will start at 7:00 this morningon eastbound interstate 80 at the toll plaza. the work is expected to end around 2:00 this afternoon. three left lanes approaching the toll plaza will be closed. we'll monitor conditions in the traffic center and have a live report later on the kron four morning news. this morning after nearly drowning in bodega bay. this video was taken after the man was pulled out of the water at duncan's cove last night. authorities say they received a call of a person that was unresponsive. by the time they got there, the man was out of the water and alert. they checked him out but he decided not to go to the hospital. there is a surf advisory in effect until later this morning. ( will ) covering california. two children and a woman are shot at a birthday party in sacramento. the shooting happened yesterday at a city park. police say a 11-year-old boy, a 6-year old girl and a woman were shot. their injuries are non-life-threatening. police questioned people at the scene to determine what happened and say several fights the started between people at the party. no arrests have been made as of this morning. ( will ) 16 people are without a home this morning following a fire at an apartment building in oakland. we first broke this story yesterday on kron four news weekend. it started just before 4:00 in the morning yesterday on 39th avenue between bayo and masterson streets in oakland. firefighters quickly knocked down the flames but not before four units were damaged. one man escaped by jumping out of second-story window he was not hurt. another woman complained of chest pains and was taken to a hospital. the cause remains under investigation. ( will ) while searching for missing northern california woman.... divers found a human leg attached to a cinder block in a lake near redding. while

( will ) happening now. ford motors is recalling more than 52-thousand f-250 trucks. the automaker says those trucks could move while in park due to a manufacturing error. the recall includes the six-point-two liter models built in kentucky starting in october 20-16. ford says drivers of these models should always use their parking break as a safety precaution. the company says it has not received any reports of injuries or accidents because of the defect. owners will be notified when the replacement parts become

( mark ) we are learning new information about a 50- year-old napa man arrested and accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl. timothy marble was arrested saturday near highway one on harbour way in bodega way. police say marble called police earlier that day and told police that his passenger, a 13-year-old girl, jumped out of his moving car. police say the girl ran away from

home on thursday, and ended up at shell station where marble convinced her to get into his truck. the teenager says he used a syringe to inject her with meth and sexually assualted her multiple times. police say marble also used a knife to scratch his name into the girl's skin. neighbors spoke to kron four after learning about his arrest. ( mark ) marbles has prior drug convictions. he is now in jail on suspicion of kidnapping, sexual assault on a minor and child abuse. ( darya ) a one-year-old girl has died after she drowned in a backyard pool in concord. this happened yesterday just before 5:00 in the evening. this was on leland way. the girl's parents first reported her missing. family members and police searched the area for several minutes... they then found the child unconscious in a backyard

( darya ) one man is behind bars this morning after a shooting that injured five people at a house party in pittsburg. it happened saturday night near the corner of madoline street and lorraine avenue. police say a group of men walked into the birthday party and were later asked to leave. that is when a fight broke out between the men and the people at the party. one of the men started shooting, injuring five people. neighbors say partygoers were able to hold down the shooter until police arrived. police arrested a 23-year-old man from oakley. he is being charged with multiple felonies including assault with a deadly weapon. and the shooters are still on the loose. it happened yesterday afternoon at the boyd hotel on jones street. (ááátriggerááá) officers first responded to reports of gunshots. when they arrived, they found one person shot in the torso. the victim was taken to the hospital. we have no word on that person's condition this morning. the shooters left the scene before police ( darya ) a south bay family is pleading for help this morning to find the person responsible for killing their teenage son. 19-year-old joseph viramontes was killed just over a week ago in san jose. he was found shot on the campus of toyon elementary school on march 25th. last night friends and family gathered for a dinner fundraiser at the keyes bar to help raise money for funeral expenses. kron four spoke with joseph's family... they say they are hoping someone will come forward with information.

( mark ) san francisco police are asking the public to help identify a man suspected of stealing about 100-thousand dollars in jewelry from a store in chinatown. this happened back on february 24th at a jewelry store on waverly place but police are just now releasing the surveillance video. police say the thief broke through the front window of the store and stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry. the man was then seen running south on waverly place and then east on sacramento street. there is no clear description of the thief at this time. ( mark ) we now know what caused a multi-car crash that injured 14 people and shut down part of highway 4 in antioch. this happened around 6:00 saturday night on the westbound lanes of highway four, between the 'a' street and hillcrest off-ramps. c-h-p says a toyota sedan,

with 7 people inside stopped on the highway behind a bumper that was in the roadway. that's when a minivan with three people inside hit it, setting off a chain-reaction crash. four people were airlifted to the hospital. one of them, a 14-year old girl is still in critical condition this morning. ( darya ) at least 250 people are dead after massive mudslides in colombia...near the boarder with ecuador. 43 children are among the dead. 400 other people are injured this morning. nearly 150 people are still missing and officials say the death toll is expected to rise. this morning crews are digging through the rubble and the mud to try and find survivors. water from three overflowing rivers swept through the small city of mocoa. the massive amount of mud destroyed homes and killed many of the victims while they were sleeping.

( mark ) while searching for missing northern california woman.... divers find a human leg attached to a cinder block in a lake near redding. while searching for 38-year old bridget jacobs in whiskeytown lake... shasta county investigators found what is believed to be her leg. jacobs ex-husband is accused of killing her. philip jacobs told police he dumped her body in the lake after she accidentally fell down the stairs during an argument. during the 4 day search of the lake, sonar also detected what could be other body parts near the leg. a coroner is still trying to figure out how exactly she died. 56-year old philip jacobs was arraigned last week for the murder of his ex-wife. he is due back in court later today. ( darya ) a white tulsa, oklahoma officer charged in the shooting death of an unarmed black man said race was not a factor in her decision to open fire. she said the man caused his

death when he ignored her commands. officer betty shelby made her comments last night during an interview on 60 minutes. shelby is scheduled to stand trial next month in the fatal shooting of terence crutcher. during the interview, shelby said crutcher kept putting his hands in his pockets. she says he didn't stop moving when she ordered him to and he appeared to be sizing her up before reaching into the vehicle. she said feared for her life. no weapon was found in crutcher's vehicle. shelby has pleaded not guilty. if convicted of first-degree manslaughter, she faces a sentence of four years to life in prison. ( mark ) lawyers for bill cosby will be back in court today to discuss his upcoming trial. lawyers and prosecutors are fighting over how to choose potential jurors. cosby's team wants the judge to allow detailed questionnaires to weed out any biased jurors. cosby is accused of assaulting former temple university employee andrea constand in 2004.

( darya ) a good samaritan helped rescue five people after a massive fire on a boat off the coast of florida. this happened on saturday. the group abandoned their fishing boat and jumped into a life raft to escape the flames. a coast guard helicopter lowered a rescue diver to their life raft to check on them. but just as they

( darya ) we are learning new information about a 50- year-old napa man arrested and accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl. timothy marble was arrested saturday near highway one on harbour way in bodega bay. police say marbles called police earlier that day. marbles told police that his passenger, a 13-year-old girl, then jumped out of his moving car. police say the girl ran away from home on thursday, and ended up at shell station where marbles convinced her to get into his truck. the teenager says he used a syringe to inject her with meth and sexually assualted her multiple times.

( mark ) one man is behind bars this morning after a shooting that injured five people at a house party in pittsburg. it happened saturday night near the corner of madoline street and lorraine avenue. police say a group of men walked into the birthday party and were later asked to leave. that is when a fight broke out between the guests and the people at the party. one of the men started shooting, injuring five people. neighbors say partygoers were able to hold down the shooter until police arrived. police arrested a 23-year-old man from oakley. he is being charged with multiple felonies including assault

people are dead after massive mudslides in columbia...near the boarder with ecuador. 43 children are among the dead. 400 other people are injured this morning. nearly 150 people are still missing and officials say the death toll is expected to rise. this morning crews are digging through the rubble and the mud to try and find survivors. water from three overflowing rivers swept through the small city of mocoa. the massive amount of mud destroyed homes and killed many of the victims while they were sleeping. the president of colombia is blaming climate change for the mudslides. the region received almost 80-percent more rain than usual for the month of march. without a home this morning following a fire at an apartment building in oakland. we first broke this story yesterday on kron four news weekend. it started just before 4:00 in the morning yesterday on 39th avenue between bayo and masterson streets in oakland. firefighters quickly knocked down the flames but not before four apartments were damaged. one man escaped by jumping out of second-story window. he was not hurt. another woman was taken to the hospital after complaining of chest pains. investigators are still trying to figure out how the fire started. ( mark ) happening today... republicans in congress could move one step closer to confirming judge neil gorsuch to the supreme court. today the senate judiciary committee will vote on gorsuch's nomination. over the weekend a third democratic senator has said he will support judge gorsuch. republicans say that gorsuch will be confirmed by the full senate by the end of the week. democrats are threatening a filibuster. right now a confirmation requires 60 votes in the senate but republicans only hold 52 seats. if

a coroner is still trying to figure out how exactly she died. 56-year old philip jacobs was arraigned last week for the murder of his ex-wife. he is due back in court later today. ( mark ) lawyers for bill cosby will be back in court today to discuss his upcoming trial. lawyers and prosecutors are fighting over how to choose potential jurors. cosby's team wants the judge to allow detailed questionnaires to weed out any biased jurors. cosby is accused of assaulting former temple university employee andrea constand in 2004. she is one of dozens of women who have accused him of sexual assault. the trial is expected to begin in june. cosby denies all allegations against him. ( mark ) a gunman is on the loose in the east bay after a man was shot in antioch. it happened around 1:00 yesterday afternoon at cruisers saloon on 'a' street and east 16th... in the eastwood plaza shopping center. police say a 37-year-old man was shot and taken to the hospital where he is in stable condition this morning. police have not released any information on the gunman and they have not said what led up to the shooting. ( mark ) a family in the east bay is asking for a hit-and-run driver who killed their loved one to turn themselves in. a vigil was held yesterday for 50-year-old larry mendes. he was on his way to visit his family when he stopped to help a friend who was having an electrical problem with an r-v. this happened on thursday on 85th avenue in oakland. mendes was kneeling next to the r-v when the driver hit him and drove away.

( mark ) a white tulsa, oklahoma officer charged in the shooting death of an unarmed black man said race was not a factor in her decision to open fire. she said the man caused his death when he ignored her commands. officer betty shelby made her comments last night during an interview on 60 minutes. shelby is scheduled to stand trial next month in the fatal shooting of terence crutcher. during the interview, shelby said crutcher kept putting his hands in his pockets. she says he didn't stop moving when she ordered him to and he appeared to be sizing her up before reaching into the
