(rob live) after initiating the amber alert early this morning, mountain view police got a call frompolice in livermore about 11:30 this morning saying that madilyn was safe and in their custody let's go back to the photo of michael wallin and his young daughter, madilyn. the baby's step brother, robert, tells me that michael wallin turned the child over to her grandmother, who lives in patterson. she then arranged to turn the child over to police in the walmart parking

lot in livermore. she was detained for questioning while the child, unharmed, was reunited with her mother. this all started about 8:30 last night at the residence in here in mountain view, where michael wallin had gone to visit with madilyn and her mother. the two are not married. there wasan argument and then michael snatched the child and made his way across the bay, but notbefore endangering the child say mountain view police. katie nelson/mountain view police"...michael decides to take off with madelyn. at this point madelyn's mother reaches into the car and tries to grab her and was dragged a short distance. her adult son, who is not michael's son, followed him in another car and at some michael tries to 'brake-check' the other vehicle, causing a collision and the whole time madelyn is in the front seat with him and there was no car seat, madelyn was compleletly unsecured..." (grant) the san francisco man arrested for trying to kidnap a 13-year-old girl - pleaded not guilty in court today. 27-year-old lee eigl - was taken into custody last month in connection with an attack in the city's west portal neighborhood. police say eigl grabbed the victim while she was walking along forest side avenue... and he tried to get her in his car. police say the girl's screams alerted people nearby - who were able to pull her away from eigl. he was

later arrested - and has now been charged with six felonies. eigl remains in jail without bond - and is due back in court next month. (vicki) in court documents obtained by kron four news - it allegeds -the head of school diverted funds to make charges at

(vicki) they want the charges dropped... that is what a group of eleven protesters are saying after they were arrested and charged for blocking the caltrain tracks back on inauguration day... the group... who are calling themselves the "j-20 resisters" appeared in court earlier today for their arrainment. they are being charged with three misdemeanor counts including trespassing. the group blocked the tracks at 16th and mississippi streets for about four hours back on january 20th... instead of entering a plea, the group asked the judge to schedule a hearing on a motion to dismiss the charges. but a spokesman for the district attorney's office, noted that dozens of people had been cited in protests, but only the 11 had been charged with misdemeanors.... because their actions posed a danger to themselves and others. no word yet if a hearing was scheduled. red-handed at ( grant ) a suspected bike thief has been caught red-handed at a bart station. bart put out a couple of surveillance photos. it says a station agent spotted this man taking bike parts on monday morning at the lake merritt station.

police say first he cased the bike racks... and then he took the tires off a couple of bicycles and put them on a frame he brought with him. the suspect is identified as being 26 years old and from hayward. despite this...bart says bike thefts have recently dropped by 11- percent. ( pam ) a group of protesters arrested for blocking cal-train tracks.. during an inauguration day protest.. wants the charges against them dismissed. in all, eleven people face misdemeanor charges for this protest at 16th and mississippi streets in san francisco. it was one of several demonstrations in the bay area that day. the protest distrupted caltrain service for several hours until police came in and removed them. today, they asked a judge to drop the charges, instead of entering a plea during their arraignment. a spokesman for the district attorney's office says, they are facing charges because the protest posed, not only a danger to

themselves and others, but blocked critical infrastructure. the judge did not issue a decision on the request today. ( pam ) you may remember this protest from the day after thanksgiving back in 2014. a group of protesters brought bart service to a halt when they linked arms ... at the west oakland station . bart was originially seeking 70- thousand dollars in restitution from them... for the disruption that lasted several hours. it later dropped that demand. ultimately, the alameda county district attorney's office decided not to pursue criminal charges against the group.
