(vickii) the hillsborough woman accused of murdering the father of her children was released from jail this afternoon.....after her family came up with nearly 70 million dollars so she could be released on bail. li walked out of the san mateo county jail and into a black escalade surrounded by reporters.(vicki) tiffany

li's bail amount is the highest in that county's history and the 8th highest in the nation.(grant) kron4's maureen kelly was in the courtroom alongside the murder victim's family and friends, who expressed their outrage after today's hearing. (maureen)nothing seems right about it at all.a family friend of 27 year old murder victim keith green expessed dismay that tiffany li was able to walk out of jail...especially since her two alleged co-conspirators weren't not allowed that option.li, her boyfriend, kaveh bayat and olivier adella are accused of conspiring to kill green.prosecutors say li was afraid of losing a custody battle with the victm...who is the father of her two young children.right now we're sort of dealing with david and goliath situation in there with all those millions of money and power and then we have this lovely young man keith, 27 years old brutally murdered, shot and saw it coming close range so it's a terrible storyli left the jail escorted by her family's attorney...getting into a cadallic escalade saying nothing to the swarm of media. the d-a wanted her bail set at 100 million.... but a judge knocked it down to 35 million.

but the value is really 66 million....her family... wealthy real estate developers...raised 4 million cash....making up the difference by pledging property..which by law has to be worth twice as much as cash. li's attorney says many people are risking their homes to make this happen.the family couldn't do it and it took a broader community of friends and extended family members and and business associates who were willing to risk their property.between 15 and 20 individuals and business entities put up real property to that amount approximately 66 million. that means a lot that means they think she's gonna return to court i think and they may believe she's not guilty.li will be under house arrest as she awaits her trial..which is set to get underway in september.she was already wearing a gps ankle monitor when she walked out of jail....she also turned over her passport....and the passports of her two children. maureen kelly kron4 news
