new airstrikes have hit the site of tuesday's chemical attack in syria. activists in the city say airstikes hit friday and today. at least one person was killed and 3 others are injured. it's not clear who conducted these airstrikes. we will continue to follow the situation out of syria this morning on kron four ( marty @ landing ) our top story this morning... three homes have been red tagged after sizable mudslide came rumbling down in the oakland hills. the slide also impacted an east-bay-mud service line. leaving more than 20 homes without water kron4's lydia pantazes shows us just how bad the damage is. ( marty@ landing) crews in the east bay worked to remove a tree that fell on a fast food restaurant in newark. thursday night's powerful winds forced this tree to crash onto the k-f-c on thornton avenue. the fallen tree caused some serious damage to the restaurant. the large trunk was suspended in air - and the rest caving in the roof. the fast food restaurant was red tagged. there is no word on when it will re-open. ( marty @ landing ) when it comes to storm damage, the north bay has seen more than its fair share of it over the last few months. kron4's charles clifford has a closer look at what people are doing to prevent flooding in their homes.

natsfriday afternoon, rain returned to the north bay and with it came the usual problems of wet roads and downed trees.natsin larkspur, a pg and e crew worked to restore power after a fallen tree took out lines along estelle avenue.natsa few miles away in san anselmo, the creek was running high friday afternoon but nowhere near flood stage. along san anselmo avenue a dumster full of sandbags sits on standby for anyone who might need them. tree branches and leaves litter the sidewalks, leftovers from the strong winds and rain the night before.sot

( marty ) the california drought emergency is over. all because of one of the wettest winters in years. governor brown announced the end of the drought- emergency following the state's driest five- year period on record. massive storm systems that dumped rain on the bay area dropped a record snowpack on the sierra, filled reservoirs, ane replenished a key water source. water officials say the drought did have at least one positive outcome. it led to the state's first water conservation rules focusing on turning off sprinklers and removing thirsty lawns in favor of more drought resistant greenery. and californians became more aware of the importance of conservation. he left his home in vallejo that morning and was last seen getting out of his 20-14 red honda accord in benicia. after his car was found near the bridge, police launched a search by helicopter and boat. volunteers have been searching the area on foot ever since. redrico was wearing black clothing when he left home. ( marty ) the f-b-i is now involved in the search for a missing college student from northern california. the family of aly yeoman still believes she is alive.. the 20-year old went missing in yuba city, north of sacramento last thursday. yesterday, her family had a message to those who might be holding her to bring her home.. aly's truck was found near a levee the night she went missing. investigators later found her cel phone and one set of footprints leading away from the vehicle.

sheriff kory honea - we absolutely remain hopeful that we're going to find aly and bring her home safely>( marty ) yeoman's mom said she received texts with demands from aly's kidnappers. the f-b-i is offering a 5-thousand dollar reward for information leading to her recovery. ( marty ) the man who police say shot and killed a woman while she sat in a car with her two young sons in richmond is being charged with murder. the judge set bail for lawyer mcbride at three-point-one million dollars. he is alleged to have shot his ex -girlfriend, rashanda franklin, after the two had an altercation. police say franklin's two boys under the age of ten were in the car with their mother when mcbride fired the fatal shots. 43-year-old mcbride is scheduled to appear in contra costa county superior court in richmond on monday. ( marty ) police found a dismembered body in a san bruno home. investigators have not identified the body, but police have arrested a man for murder... the house is just down the street from where police are searching for

many are still dealing with the aftermath of heavy rain that caused coyote creek to flood the area back in february. it caused damage to hundreds of peoples homes, forcing them to head to shelters. kron four's hermela aregawi spoke to people in san jose about how they are feeling with more rain falling in the south bay. more than a month after the massive floods..residents in the williams street area are still on edge.not knowing which upcoming round of rain will flood their streets and homes again.sot kari davisson, affected by floodsanxious pretty anxious. we had enough, we keep in touch with websites and i work for the city so i had enough information knowing that hey we should be watching this so it was anxious thing and i left work early to secure the house and seeing the streets all jammed up with people either trying to get out or get in to sandbag, it made me even more anxious. on february 21st.. about 600 homes were damaged and 14,000 people evacuated.many still recovering from the massive floods.kari davisson says she has flood insurance..but still does what she can to protect her home.sot kari davisson,

believes the tree collapsed sometime friday morning. a neighbor woke up the homeowner letting him know what happened. the tree falling is something the homeowner thought might be a possibility at some point, because it was sick and dying for some time. ( marty ) no one was injured when the tree and power lines came down. the alameda county fire department showed up and put markers on the power lines to warn the public. and soon after, the lines were de-energized. ( marty ) a cleanup effort is underway in san francisco bay after a barge carrying thousands of gallons of diesel fuel capsizes in the bay. this is video from our helicopter partnership with abc 7 news. a boom was placed around the area where the 115- foot vessel went down just after early friday morning. it is believed that thursday night's gale force winds and choppy seas swamped the barge. the tanks on board can carry 4- thousand gallons of fuel. several hundred gallons of hydraulic oil was also onboard. but no crew members were on board when the barge more showers for our saturday

a missing san jose state university student. 23-year-old kevin redrico was last seen near the benicia bridge thursday morning. he left his home in vallejo that morning and was last seen getting out of his 20-14 red honda accord in benicia. after his car was found near the bridge, police launched a search by helicopter and boat. volunteers have been searching the area on foot ever since. redrico was wearing black clothing when he left home. jose residents are still in shelters after losing everything in the last flood. city officials say they hope to clear those shelters by mid month.reporting in san jose hermela aregawi kron 4 news. ( marty ) in the east bay. strong winds knocked down a 40-year-old tree in san lorenzo... a few powerlines hit the ground as well. the homeowner believes the tree collapsed sometime friday morning. a neighbor woke up the homeowner letting him know what happened. the tree falling is something the homeowner thought might be a possibility at some point, because it was sick and dying for some time. marty ) no one was injured when the tree and power lines came down. the alameda county fire department showed up and put markers on the power lines to warn the public. and soon after, the lines were de-energized.
