( james ) breaking overnight.. a swedish lawyer says the driver of a stolen truck that rammed into a crowd in central stockholm... has admitted guilt. four people were killed and 15 others were injured in the attack. the lawyer told the stockholm district court that rakhmat akilov, quote: "acknowledges the terrorist charge and agrees to be arrested." akilov admits to driving the stolen truck into a crowd outside an upscale department store in central stockholm on

friday afternoon. he was tracked down by police hours later and arrested early saturday. ( james ) our top local story this morning... a school janitor is accused of molesting children over the course of 15 years. at this point police do ánotá believe any of his victims were students. ruben gonzalez is being held at martinez detention facility. police believe his victims were all under aged family members who lived with him in his pinole home. kron 4's ella sogomonian has reaction from neighbors and the school district. "you never think it's going to happen in your neighborhood." neighbors notcied heavy police activity thursday on their normally quiet pinole block. little did they know 60-year- old ruben gonzales who lived across the way was arrested and hauled off to county jail. he is accused of allegedly molesting children within his own family for more than a decade. "oh wow, yeah. it took me by surprise. everybody." neighbors say gonzales shared the pinole home with his wife

and young children along with another couple and their kids. they're shocked by the accusations saying he was always really nice and helped out around the block.police aren't revealing the age or sex of the victims."he doesn't look like a weird guy. he looks like a really decent guy. a hard working guy." gonzales is being held on a more than 46 million dollar bail.west contra costa county school district immediately fired and banned him the day after his arrest. "(marcus walton/west contra costa county school district): "we are not sure the number of schools he worked at right now. we are still investigating that but he would have gone to a variety of schools."they say gonzales first began working with the school district at olinda elementary as a yard supervisor. that was between august and september of last year. he then went on to work as a late night substitute janitor throughout the district's schools. but encourage anyone who may have somehow had innapropriate

contact with gonzales to let them and the police know about it. in pinole ella sogomonian kron 4 news. ( james ) the man accused of shooting a mother in front of her two children, made his first court appearance in richmond . this is video of 43-year-old lawyer mcbride arriving at the contra costa county superior court house. he is accused of shooting and killing his ex-girlfriend 29-year-old rashanda franklin last tuesday morning while she was driving her two sons to school. the shooting was captured on surveillance video. her father says his grandsons are having a hard time coping with their mother's death.

james ) mcbride's bail has been set at 3-point-one million dollars. no plea was entered. the public defender asked for more time to review discovery documents in the case. the judge ordered his arraignment be held over one week ( james ) new details on a dismembered body that was found in san bruno. police have identified the victim. the suspect, who police say is a neighbor..appeared in court today. as kron 4's jr stone explains, it all started over a dispute involving a space heater. we now know the victim was 77 year old benjamin roybal who lived in this house behind me. 50 year old david stubblefield faced a judge for the first time on monday in connection with the murder of 77 year old benjamin roybal. sot it's very very sickening and the fact that i shook his hand ya know.sot i'm really glad that guy is locked upi hope he never sees daylight again. monday new chilling details in

the case came to lightinvestigators believe there was a dispute over a space heater on march 11th alleging that stubblefield first tear gased roybal then shot him in the chest. roybal's dismembered body was found at stubblefields house on april 6th. sot the body had been cut up and efforts had been made to destroy it at least in part using chemicals. a lot of the remains were in buckets and other containers. prior to that, neighbors say stubblefield had put up a blue tarp in front of his car port. those who lived near the victim say they recently came across stubblefield at roybal's house going through roybal's posessions. sot this guy told me that he was in santa cruz taking care of a sick friend and that i'm going to be here for a while. he was driving his truck going into his house. putting things in the truck taking them away like ben used to do it.jose aguirre lives across the street from where roybal lived. he says during that conversation with the suspect, stubblefield told him he, not roybal, was dying of cancer

and had just six months to live. aguirre says the whole situation is a bad one. sot knowing that he died like that is kinda sad but i'm glad he's in jail and hoping he doesn't come out.stubblefield does have a criminal history but officials would not say what that history includes. he'll be back in court later this month. live in san bruno, j.r. stone kron 4 news. are calling the shooting a domestic incident. the shooter, cedric anderson, targeted his wife, karen elaine smith, in her classroom at north park elementary school where she taught special needs children. police say anderson killed himself after shooting his wife. two students who were standing behind their teacher were also shot. one of them, eight-year-old jonathan martinez was airlifted to a hospital where he later died. the other child is listed in stable condition. ( james ) police are asking for your help in locating a missing fremont teenager. 15-year-old kailen glasper has been missing for nearly a week. she was last seen on mowry avenue near argonaut way in fremont. glasper stands five- feet-eight-inches tall and weighs 280 pounds... and is believed to be wearing a white sweater, blue jeans and white shoes. ( james ) domestic violence in the spotlight. in the last week we have seen two high profile instances where it has turned deadly... a mother killed in richmond and the san bernadino school shooting. in both cases the violence played out in front of children. and now, we are hearing from a domestic abuse expert about the warning signs. kron4's alecia reid has the details. satistics show one out of every 3 women in the world suffer from domestic abuse. more often than not, when it becomes deadly, experts say an

anyone else has been a victim of a man posing as a massage therapist. officers arrested a man last week on suspicion of sexual assault against his clients. kron four's spencer blake has the story. (spencer)"if this case turns out to be anything like one the police department saw a few years ago, then there are likely to be more victims involved."(pkg)on this block of illinois street in east palo alto, jose garcia plascencia operated a massage parlor out of his home.it was last month that police first got tipped off about what áelse was going on there."we had some victims come forward alleging that they went to a 'sobandero' - a masseuse, if you will - to get healed for minor ailments."those three women say garcia plascencia sexually assaulted them.that launched the official investigation."based on the information provided to us during the course of the investigation, we felt we had the probable cause to place the masseuse under arrest." he's been in the county jail since thursday.it's likely those women who accused him

aren't alone.commander jeff liu says there was another massage therapist a while back who ended up in jail for similar crimesand the charges escalated after his arrest. "when we did the release on the previous case years ago, we ended up with dozens of victims who came forward after seeing that they weren't alone."on top of it all, it looks like garcia plascencia was a fake in the massage industry. "this person was not formally trained, had no business license, and had no permits to convert his garage into a treatment room."those facts could bring up other charges against him, but that will be up to the district attorney's office.the sexual assault allegationswould be felonies.in east palo alto, spencer blake, kron four news. ( james ) the identity of the fourth person who died in an oakland building fire last month has been released. investigators had to track down his father in nigeria. the alameda county coroner's office says 36-year-old olatunde ade-jum-obi died in

the fire. he is the last of the four victims to be identified. a burning candle started the fire in the three- story half way house for recovering addicts and people who had been homeless. ade-jum-obi, who died from smoke inhalation, was identified by a fingerprint. the fire occurred three days after city building inspectors found multiple fire code violations. ( james ) in national news.. a manhunt is intensifying for a wisconsin man. joseph jakubowski is suspected of stealing a large number of guns and threatening public officials or schools. he also sent a 161 page manifesto to president trump. in it he detailed his grievances with the government. and anti-religious views. it all started when jakubowski allegedly stole handguns and rifles from a janesville store last tuesday. thirty minutes later police found his car on fire. and evidence of arson. police say that same day he sent his manifesto to the white house. investigators say it details anti-government and anti- religious views. in the

man to the walgreens and demanded that he come out of the alley. they say the man then fired shots at officers before he was shot to death. the man's name has not yet been released. ( james ) it appears a domestic dispute is what led to a deadly shooting at an elementary school in southern california. police say a husband opened fire in a special needs classroom where his wife was the teacher. she died and two other students were shot at before he took his own life. tom wait has the latest. heart-wrenching and harrowing scenes as elementary kids are hurried to safety. the horrific scene unfolded police say the gunman is 53 year-old cedric anderson. his target was teacher is karen elaine smith who taught public education. police tell us anderson walked into her classroom with 15 students and started shooting. he hit and killed smith and also shot two kids standing behind her "cedric entered the classroom

and from what we understand, without saying anything, armed with a large caliber revolver, opened fire on his wife there are two students in the classroom that were behind the teacher that were struck by gunfire. one of those students is identified as jonathan martinez. he is 8 years-old. he was taken to loma linda university medical center. tragically he has passed away." police say anderson was able to easily enter the school by simply telling staff in the front office he had something to drop off to his wife. because he was known to administr ators, he walked right in. police say they have no information right now that anderson posed a threat. "nothing that we have been made aware of in the investigation up to this point. i am told they were estranged."

( james ) the murder trial for the man accused of killing sierra lamar continues today in a san jose courtroom. two witnesses were called to the stand yesterday in the trial. one of them was sierra's former spanish teacher. he says sierra came by his classroom and talked to a friend two weeks before she disappeared. the other witness explained how she bought marijuana from antolin garcia-torres. she also said that sierra and garcia-torres could have known each other because they knew a lot of the same people. ( james ) police in east palo alto are investigating whether more people are a victim of people are a whether more investigating are east palo alto police in police in east palo alto are investigating whether more people are a victim of sexual abuse by a man posing as a massage therapist. jose garcia plascencia has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting his clients. he ran a massage parlor out of his home. three women reported to police that plascencia had sexually assaulted them. this isn't the first time a fake massage therapist has been arrested for this type of crime. police say another fake therapist was arrested for similar crimes a few years ago.

( james ) video of an arrest in fort collins, colorado is going viral this morning. it shows a 22-year old college student being thrown to the ground by an officer, before being arrested on assault charges. colorado state university student michaella surat was thrown to the ground following a fight with an officer outside a nightclub. police say she tried to hit an officer after that officer tried to separate her boyfriend from a fight. police say the technique used to take the woman down was standard arrest protocol. she was taken to jail and is facing charges of third degree assault and obstructing a peace officer. ( james ) a victoria's secret in the east bay has become a hot target for thieves. the store was hit four times over the weekend. newark police say thieves struck twice on saturday and twice on sunday at the newpark mall. they grabbed merchandise and then ran out of the door. back in march, some women pulled off a similar theft at the store... making off with 6-thousand dollars worth of merchandise. no arrests have been made in either case.

( james ) we are learning more about the great white shark that beached itself at pleasure point in santa cruz. the necropsy was performed over the weekend. the shark died friday and and now scientitsts say an infection is to blame fort making the animal sick. they say it's the same infection that's killed other sharks in the past. but remains unclear this morning why the infection is making it's way through different types of shark species. ( james ) federal authorities are joining the manhunt for joseph jakubowski. he's the man who sent an anti-government manifesto to president trump last week. jakubowski is suspected of stealing several high-powered

weapons from a gun store. police say his car was found on fire shortly after the robbery and there was evidence of arson. police believe jakubowski has a military helmet and bulletproof vest. the f-b-i, a-t-f and the secret service have all joined the national manhunt. (yoli)2:48am am, tuesday, santa clara pd responded to reports of a traffic collision at the intersection of warburton ave and calabazas blvd. initial responding units arrived to find a male, soaking wet, on the property of a residence, with the fence, and the outer rod iron fence punched through. upon investigation, officers located a car, fully submerged in the pool, in the backyard of the residence. santa clara fd was requested to determine how to remove the car, and render it safe. a tow truck was requested, but it is unable to remove the car, without damaging the pool.

( james ) police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing fremont teenager. 15-year-old kailen glasper has been missing for nearly a week. she was last seen on mowry avenue near argonaut way in fremont. glasper is an african-american female, five- feet-eight-inches tall and weighing 280 pounds. authorities say she may be wearing a white sweater, blue jeans and white shoes. glasper is considered "at risk." ( james ) we are learning more about the deadly officer involved shooting in fremont. we first broke this story yesterday on the kron four morning news. the shooting happened just before midnight sunday in an alley behind a walgreens store on decoto road. officers say the man was armed and fled a traffic stop. police say they chased the man to the walgreens and demanded that he come out of the alley. they say the man then fired shots at officers before he was shot to death. the man's name has not yet been released.

( james ) the man accused of shooting a mother in front of her two children makes his first court appearance in richmond. this is video of 43-year-old lawyer mcbride arriving at the contra costa county superior court house yesterday. he is accused of shooting and killing his ex- girlfriend 29-year-old rashanda franklin last week while she was driving her two sons to school. the shooting was captured on surveillance video. rashanda's father says his two grandsons are having a hard time coping with their mother's death.

(james) texas, florida and a dozen other states are urging a san francisco federal appeals court to reinstate president trump's revised travel ban. court documents were just submitted to the 9th circuit court of appeals yesterday. the states say the ban falls within the president's authority to block foreigners from the u.s. they also reject the argument that it targets muslims. the san francisco court is considering a ruling by a federal judge in hawaii that blocked the ban. (james) police in east palo alto are investigating whether more people are a victim of sexual abuse by a man posing as a massage therapist. jose garcia plascencia has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting his clients. he ran a massage parlor out of his home. three women reported to police that plascencia had sexually

assaulted them. this isn't the first time a fake massage therapist has been arrested for this type of crime. police say another fake therapist was arrested for similar crimes a few years ago. (james) police also found plasencia did not have a business license or permit to operate from his garage. ( james ) repairs are underway to five new homes that were vandalized in san jose. damage to kitchen cabinets, doors, windows and flooring is estimated around 50-thousand dollars. neighbors say two car loads of young people threw rocks at windows, knocked down signs and then kicked in the doors on rosemar court. a realtor expects most of the damage will be repaired by next weekend.

( james ) video of an arrest in fort collins, colorado is going viral this morning. it shows a 22-year old college student being thrown to the ground by an officer, before being arrested on assault charges. colorado state university student michaella surat was thrown to the ground following a fight with an officer outside a nightclub.

police say she tried to hit an officer after that officer tried to separate her boyfriend from a fight. police say the technique used to take the woman down was standard arrest protocol. she was taken to jail and is facing charges of third degree assault and obstructing a peace officer. (james) the california highway patrol is investigating a deadly accident after a bus driver was hit and killed by a patrol car near truckee. he was hit while helping other drivers. it happened on eastbound interstate 80 when a car overturned. the bus driver got out of the bus to help. he was putting reflective triangles on the road when he was hit. the c-h-p says one of their officers was backing up his car when he hit the bus driver. the bus driver did not survive his injuries. (james) a warning for parents this morning... a major baby formula maker is facing a lawsuit after bugs were found in multiple cans of the prodcut. mead johnson makes enfamil baby formula. and a woman from brooklyn just filed a lawsuit against the company after she says her baby almost died of an infection caused by the

formula. she says within six weeks, she found bugs in four different cans of enfamil. one of those times her 10-month-old baby was hospitalized with a bacterial infection caused by germs that live in dry foods. the complaint includes images from several customers who also say they have found bugs in their baby formula. ( james ) we are learning more about the great white shark that beached itself at pleasure point in santa cruz. the necropsy was performed over the weekend. the shark died friday and and now scientitsts say an infection is to blame fort making the animal sick. they say it's the same infection that's killed other sharks in the past. but remains unclear this morning why the infection is making it's way through different types of shark species. are joining the manhunt for joseph jakubowski. he's the man who sent an anti- government manifesto to president trump last week. jakubowski is suspected of stealing several high-powered weapons from a gun store. police say his car was found on fire shortly after the robbery and there was evidence of arson. police believe jakubowski has a military helmet and bulletproof vest. the f-b-i, a-t-f and the secret service have all joined the national manhunt. (will) u-s officials have concluded that russia knew in advance about syria's chemical weapons attack last week. officials say a russian- operated drone flew over a hospital in syria as victims of the attack were rushing to get treatment. hours after the drone left, a russian-made fighter jet bombed the hospital. american officials believe it was an attempt to cover up the usage of chemical weapons. previously, u-s officials had said they weren't sure if the drone was operated by russia or syria. he is charged with two counts related to campaign finance violations. bentley was booked into jail yesterday then pleaded guilty. bentley also agreed to never again hold public office. as part of the agreement.. the state attorney general's office will not pursue other felony charges against bentley. the now-former governor has been dealing with allegations of ethics violations including using state money in an extra-martial affair with his aide. 6:45... here's a quick look at the top stories we're following this morning... a school employee has been arrested after police say he molested several children in his home in pinole.. police say ruben gonzalez worked as a ight janitor. police say his victims were children who were members of his family.(will) 3 people are dead and a 4th is in the hospital after a shooting at an elementry school in san bernardino. police are calling the shooting a domestic incident. the shooter targeted his wife in her classroom before taking his own life. two students were shot. one died at a hospital. the other child is in stable condition.(james) a car slammed through a fence in santa clara and ended up in a backyard swimming pool. these pictures were tweeted to us by the santa clara fire department. no one was injured. officers called a tow truck to the scene but they can't remove the car without damaging the pool.

laura bloom was delayed traveling from new york to florida with her husband and four-year-old. delta canceled more than three- thousand flights over the weekend after powerful storms hit the midwest. bloom went to the ticket counter and received a flight credit for missing her flight. she came back the next day expecting to fly out of new york - but the same thing happened again. she ended up walking away with 11 thousand dollars in flight credits.
