< hey bud, hey bud, you do that to me and i'll knock you flat. you stay out of this! hey hey hey!!!>(will @ bam) out top story this morning... american airlines is in the hot seat after a new video has surfaced showing tense moments on an american airlines flight leaving s-f-o. and now, we are learning new details in what led up to the intense confrontation between passengers and the flight attendant. according to w-f-a-a in dallas, the person who originally posted the video says it started over how a flight attendant dealt with a mother who was trying to store a stroller in an overhead bin. things apparently got out of hand when a flight attendant agressively snatched a stroller from the mother. hitting her with it and coming just inches from hitting a baby. american airlines releasing this statement about the incident saying: what we see on this video does not reflect our values or how we care for our customers. we are deeply sorry for the pain we

have caused this passenger and her family and to any other customers affected by the incident. the airline also says it upgraded the family to first class and put them on another flight. it hit right in the heart of city early yesterday morning and lasted into the early evening. creating a mess. businesses closed due to the lack of power.. traffic signals were knocked out -- causing gridlock. also bart and muni stations were left in the dark. kron4's charles clifford explains that it all started with a fire at a p-g-and-e substation.. according to pg&e, around 919 friday morning there was fire at the larken street substation in san francisco. the fire appears to have been started when a circuit breaker failed.sotin all, 88 thousand customers in the northern and central parts of san francisco lost power. 21 schools lost power, 300 traffic signals went dark, and muni and bart experienced power outages at the montgomery station. several hospitals also lost power but were able to keep the lights on using backup generators.sot when it became obvious that the problem city wide problem, city officials activated the emergency operations center on

turk street. the fire department, police department and transit agencies coordinated their response through out the day. pg&e also worked to fix the problem and was finally to restore power to all customers around by 5pm. during a press conference friday afternoon, a pg & e representative was asked why the circuit breaker failed.

(will) two police shootings in the bay area. the first in the south bay. san jose police received reports of a man threatening people with a knife in the area of lewis and senter roads around 12-30. witnesses then reported the man started stabbing himself.. when officers got there they say they told the him to drop the knife. and that's when he charged at an officer. that officer then shot the man at least once. he is

now being treated for his injuries. no word on a motive. and in the east bay, police are investigating another officer involved shooting it happened around noon yesterday on rockaway lane in hayward.. one person was hit with gunfire and the injuries were non-life threatening. no other details have been released. (will) the fight over free speech on the u-c berkeley campus is far from over. plans for a visit by conservative republican ann coulter could be leading the university into a civil rights lawsuit. berkeley college republicans invited coulter to speak on campus on april 27th. but university officials say they did not approve the visit. and have concerns that protestors could become violent again. so they offered to have coulter speak on may 2nd. it's also a time when most students won't be on campus, because it's a study day for final exams. now college republicans are upset. saying liberal speakers are treated differently than republicans.

about the death of ex-n-f-l star aaron hernandez. his fiancee has indicated in court papers that she may sue the state of massachusettes over his prison suicide. shayanna-jenkins hernandez filed papers saying she was contemplating the lawsuit over the supervision her fiancee had while in his cell. questions have been raised over whether guards carried out the proper hourly cellblock checks. authorities say hernandez was locked in his cell about 8 p-m tuesday night and no one entered again until a guard saw him just after 3 a-m wednesday morning. being sued for wrongful death. the lawsuit stems back to the 20-14 killing of concert promoter eric johnson. it happened backstage at a concert in mountian view at the shoreline amphetheatre. johnson's children are now suing the rapper. their attorneys say 2 witnesses claimed the shooter looked like young jeezy- whose real name is jay way jenkins. jenkins was never charged in the shooting. attorneys say jenkins and members of his concert staff were arrested on gun possession charges. those charges were ultimately dropped. johnson's children are suing for funeral expenses and other damages. his fiancee has indicated in court papers that she may sue the state of massachusettes over his prison suicide. shayanna-jenkins hernandez filed papers saying she was contemplating the lawsuit over the supervision her fiancee had while in his cell. questions have been raised over whether guards carried out the proper hourly cellblock checks. authorities say hernandez was locked in his cell about 8 p-m tuesday night and no one entered again until a guard saw him just after 3 a-m wednesday morning. wrongful death. the lawsuit stems back to the 20-14 killing of concert promoter eric johnson. it happened backstage at a concert in mountian view at the shoreline amphetheatre. johnson's children are now suing the rapper. their attorneys say 2 witnesses claimed the shooter looked like young jeezy- whose real name is jay way jenkins. jenkins was never charged in the shooting. attorneys say jenkins and members of his concert staff were arrested on gun possession charges. those charges were ultimately dropped. johnson's children are suing for funeral expenses and other damages.
