the robbery happened very quickly and all suspects were gone by the time police arrived. now authorities are reviewing surveillance footage from the station, platform and 6 of the 9 train cars that had working cameras.sotwe're also sharing the surveillance images not only with oakland police but with the oakland schools police and the oakland housing authority to see if they can help identify the suspects.it's unknown whether the robberies occurred in the 3 train cars without working cameras. the entire fleet is to have operable cameras by july first.sotits' pretty frightening, is what i would think.most bart riders didn't know about saturday's robbery but few were surprised.sotmany bart riders we saw paid little attention to their surrounding

flown to a hospital with severe burns. you can see the aftermath of the crash with both trucks on the shoulder of the road. it's not clear when the bridge will re-open. (catherine) a toddler in the east bay is expected to make a full recovery after nearly drowning. it happened last night at a home in concord. police say a 20-month-old boy fell into a hot tub. family members quickly rescued him -- and performed c-p-r until an ambulance arrived. the little boy was taken to the hospital where he's in stable condition. (catherine)happening now.... the search continues for a missing 5-year-old boy in southern california....wh ose father has been arrested.. los angeles county deputies were looking again today for aramazd andressian jr....and they're asking anyone with information to come forward. his father was arrested saturday on suspicion of child endangerment and child abductionafter paramedics found him unconscious in a park. the south pasadena police chief says

investigators are having a hard time getting answersfrom the father -- who is divorcing the boy's mother. his bail has now been set at 10-million dollars. he's giving police confusing and contradictory answers.. the mother says her estranged husband did not drop the boy off at a pre-arranged meeting place. (grant) the tennessee teacher accused of kidnapping a 15-year-old... appeared in court in sacramento today. tad cummins will to return to tennessee where he faces federal and state felony charges of kidnapping and sexual contact. until then-- cummins is being held as both a flight risk and a danger to the public. according to prosecutors... he is a danger for abusing "his position of trust as a school teacher" and for being in possession of two guns. cummins' public defender argued the 15-year-old... willingly left with him and he had no previous criminal record. cummins faces at least ten years in prison. the two were found in siskou county last week after they

(catherine) anohter big story we are tracking tonight... u-c berkeley has been hit with a lawsuit.. it's accused of violating the first amendment rights of the campus student groups who invited ann coulter to speak this thursday. (grant) security during the event is at issue...however the attorney representing the berkeley college republicans held a news conference today - arguing that security does not trump free speech... kron4's haaziq madyun has the story the threat of violence is one of the main reasons uc berkeley has rejected ann coulter's upcoming speaking appearance. that reason is not valid says the attorney reperesenting two student groups that invited the controversial conservative speaker to an event on campus this thursday that is why

canceled... but yiannopoulos says he plans to return to berkeley for a several day event. he plans to announce his return date - next friday. (catherine) a san bruno man accused of killing his neighbor and cutting up the body was in court today.. prosecutors say the crime happened after an argument over a space heater.. 50-year-old david stubblefield pleaded not guilty to felony charges including murder and destroying evidence. this is video from an earlier court hearing. investigators say the murder happened last month after after stubblefield and 77-year-old benjamin roybal got into a fight over the price of a space heater. they say stubblefield tear-gassed roybal, shot him in the chest, and later tried to cut up the body. bail has been set at 10 million dollars. (grant) the warriors remain undefeated to start the postseason, but there have been big speed bumps along the way.(catherine)

in addition to the kevin durant injury, the team is now faced with another shaky situation. head coach steve kerr has stepped away from the sidelines indefinitely...as he deals with painful complications from back surgery.(grant) mark carpenter joins us with more mark/ the warriors took a loss hours before game 3 even started this weekend...after learning they'll be forced to go without their head coach for an unspecified amount of time. the league's reigning coach of the year still dealing with the ill- effects from that back surgery that kept him out for more than half of the 2015 season. here's some footage from this morning's shootaround in portland as the warriors aim to close out this series. steve kerr...was in attendance. while he can handle practices and workouts, it's

the games that are challenging to endure. yesterday-- he addressed the media at the team hotel and while he wouldn't elaborate on the specific symptoms giving him trouble, he did confirm it is associated with his surgery in 2015. he says he's been managing the pain for the last year and half, but for some reason, the situation recently became worse. "this is not gonna be a case where i'm coaching one night and not coaching the next. i'm not gonna do that to our team and our staff. we are hoping that the next, next week or two whatever it is, i can sort of make a definitive realization or deduction, or just feel it that i'm gonna do this or i'm not.' in kerr's absence, mike brown will handle the coaching duties. if the warriors close out the series tonight, they'll have a few extra days of rest before round 2 begins.... and perhaps that's enough time for kerr to heal up. game 4 tips off at 7-30. spokesperson yakel says they are strongly advising everyone to check and double check before heading to the airport about cancelations and delays pertaining to this runway (grant) a lawyer for the kentucky doctor who was dragged from a united flight... says he is now also representing a woman who got into a verbal confrontation with a flight attendant on american airlines.(grant) american has suspended this flight attendant after this video surfaced, showing tense moments before a flight left s-f-o friday night. the incident started after a flight attendant took a

stroller away from a mother just before takeoff. witnesses say she tried to put the stroller in the overhead bin. they say the flight attendant took it down aggressively... hitting her with it and coming just inches from hitting her baby. another passenger jumps up to defend her...and starts shouting at the flight attendant. american airlines has apologized for the incident saying the video does not reflect its values. brenda richard- and her husband mark richard left the truckee-tahoe airport on april 17th. the richards have four daughters. over 100 volunteers participated in the search. they looked through over 8 thousand aerial photos. the plane was never found. (catherine) it's been more than three weeks since a college student was last seen in yuba city. and a reward for information on aly yeoman has now reached more than $50 thousand dollars . the 20-year-old was last seen at a friend's house....and her truck and cell phone were found in a field march 30th. surveillance video shows the college student's truck being driven towards the levee where it was found. but it's not clear who's driving. the reward fund in the case was started by the fbi, and has been boosted by a go-fund- me campaign. yeoman's family says they believe her disappearance is getting increasingly suspicious...bec ause her friends haven't provided enough information or support. of sacramento after a video of a sacramento police officer beating an unarmed man after he was caught jaywalking went viral. here's a better look at the video. attorneys for 24-year-old nandi cain say he was punched about 20 times by officer anthony figueroa. cain was unarmed during the confrontation and suffered a concussion. cain's attorney's are demanding that figueroa be fired. they are also demanding the release of jail surveillance video that could show cain was abused while incarcerated in the sacramento no criminal charges have been filed against cain. the sacramento police department has not yet responded to the lawsuit. unincorporated contra costa county... on san migual drive across from margaret drive. kron four's will tran shows us what happened. ---a family of four got a rude awakening in the middle of the night when a car did not make the curve slammed into and through their home.(deirdre palmieri/neighbor- it was complete devastation basically) dedre palmeri lives right next door.she and her husband came outside at 115 in the morning to see if everyone was ok (deirdre palmieri/neighbor-we ran outside to see what was going on and it was shocking. the car was there and the debris was there but the responders were already there and so we left the scene to let them do what they needed to do)palmeri says the husband and wife are scientists who just converted their garage into a guest room.fortunately no guests were visiting at the time.she says the young driver appeared to be shocked.police say drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors in this accident.palmeri says they should investigate how fast the driver was going at the time.(deirdre palmieri/neighbor-i would have to say speed had to have been a factor. it's always a factor here. about 50 percent of the cars tjhat go down here are speeding and if they're

of killing four people in fresno is admitting to the murders. from his jail cell, kori muhammad says he did it because he hates white people. muhammad spoke on the phone from the downtown fresno jail. police say his killing spree began at a motel-six two weeks ago. muhammed says he murdered a security guard for disrespecting him and his friend. a few days later...he says he shot four white men, killing three of them. he says he also shot a woman un-intentionally. muhammad says he is not a terrorist. (grant) right now, muhammad is only facing charges related to the murder of the security guard. the other murder charges will likely be filed sometime this

week. muhammad's attorney has asked for a mental evaluation to see if he is competant to stand trial. (catherine) a former winner of california's 'mrs. orange county' beauty pageant has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography and to lewd acts with a child. court documents show 27-year-old meghan alt entered the pleas last friday and was sentenced to 300 days in jail and three years of probation. prosecutors dismissed two additional charges of lewd acts with a child. she was arrested in 2015. prosecutors said she sold images of a 4-year-old relative to a marine. alt is from irvine and has three children. she was crowned mrs. orange county in 2014 and competed in the mrs. california contest the same year. (grant lodes) a hero volunteer firefighter is speaking about how he helped a four-year-old girl who fell out of the back of a bus in arkansas. ryan ciampoli saw the incident just as he

was driving behind the bus. his dash camera caught the entire scene on video. and take a look you can see the young girl fall out of a school bus as the vehicle continues to barrel down the road. ciampoli then scoops the girl up in his arms and carrys her to safety. the four-year-old girl was later hospitalized with a broken jaw. ciampoli say's he just happy the child is alive. (sot) "i have an 8-year-old son. i've got kids. little girls. and it's hard. so just picking her up and getting her out of that situation, out of the middle of the road was priority one." police say the little girl had accidentally unlatched the back door of the bus. her parents say she will need surgery, but she should be out of the hospital this week. (grant) u.c. berkeley accused of restricting the free speech of certain students. steve aveson is in the newsroom with what we are working on for kron 4 news at 6. steve? (steve) grant... we are talking about the controversy surround conservative commentator ann coulter. she was scheduled to speak this week at an event hosted by the berkeley college republicans. but the university first canceled the event... then rescheduled it sighting security concerns. now that group is sueing the university claiming it is censoring conservative speech. tonight at six we'll tell you what they seeking from the lawsuit. we will have that story and much more on kron 4 news at six. grant back to you. (catherine) a private funeral was held today for former n-f-l star and convicted murdereraaron

hernandez... those attending the service included his fiancee, mother and brother...also patriots linebacker brandon spikes...and dolphins center mike pouncey.. the invitation-only funeral was held in hernandez's hometown of bristol, connecticut. hernandez hanged himself last week in his cell - at the prison where he was serving a life sentence for a 2013 murder. we learned today that copies of his suicide notes have now been given to his family. one of those notes was addressed to a prisoner...a 22- year-old convicted armed robber named kyle kennedy. hernandez gave kennedy a 50-thousand dollar watch and other property shortly before he committed suicide. kennedy was also reportedly the last person to see him alive.....and has now been put on suicide watch. (catherine) more bad news for giants fans... madison bumgarner is expected to be out for about two months. (grant) this comes as the giants are starting out the

(steve) covering the peninsula- a san bruno man accused of killing his neighbor and cutting up the body was in court today.. prosecutors say the crime happened after an argument over a space heater.. 50-year-old david stubblefield pleaded not guilty to felony charges including murder and destroying evidence. this is video from an earlier court hearing. investigators say the murder happened last month after after stubblefield and 77-year-old benjamin roybal got into a fight over the price of a space heater. they say stubblefield tear-gassed roybal, shot him in the chest, and later tried to cut up the body. bail

,$8drw big story tonight comes from the anti-defamation league. it is reporting a spike in anti-semitic incidents around the united states. the first three months of this year has seen them skyrocket by 86-percent compared to last year over the same time period. the a-d-l says 541 incidents were reported. that comes on the heels of surge toward the end of 2016... where nearly 400 incidents were reported in november and december. one of the factors is the wave of bomb threats against jewish community centers as well as

happened just after ten this morning. police say two semi-trucks crashed on the sacramento county side of the bridge. this video is courtesy of our helicopter partnership with abc 7. one of the drivers had to be flown to a hospital with severe burns... you can see the aftermath of the crash with both trucks on the shoulder of the road. (catherine) crews spent the last six days searching for the couple in a steep and wooded area 20 miles northwest of truckee in the sierra nevada mountain range. the
