this is all new video showing women fighting other women outside a jack in the box restaurant across the street from san jose state university. at ont point a group of women team up on the victim.even kicking her in the head. police say she was eventually transported to a nearby hospital with significant head trauma. sot started trying to fight her but once she started trying to fight that one girl two other girls got in on it and all ganged up on her.surveillance cameras from a nearby resturant caught it all on camera. it started in the jack and box parking lot..right outside the main entrance at santa clara street and 4th. the fight continued on the sidewalk. in slow motion you can see how intense things got. nearby business owners say there have been at least two shootings on this street, this year, as well. they are upset that nothing is being done to stop the problems.sot nobody does nothing the city hasn't done anything the police haven't done anything. they know it's happening they just look and

( james ) ( james ) in fresno. . . the man accused of killing three people has been charged. kori ali muhammad faces three counts of first degree murder. he was also charged with attempted murder for allegedly shooting at people he didn't hit. police say the 39-year-old told investigators he wanted to kill as many white people as possible. if convicted muhammad could be facing a death sentence or life in prison . muhammad says he is not a terrorist. remembering a high school senior who died training for the marines. kron4's lydia pantazes was at pittsburg high school where students just found out about his death. "i was just devastated honestly because i walked out passes did every day i shook his hand every single day." students at pittsburg high school struggling to cope with the death of their friend and classmate..."he's always been a nice guy honest honestly i could say he's probably one of the most honest and nice guys of ever met."17-year old floyd burrell, a pittsburg high school senior, collapsed during an training exercise to prepare for the us marine corp at veterans park in brentwood. he was expected to attend boot camp once he completed high school.police say he suffered an unexpected medical condition.friends spoke with him just hours before his death."just yesterday i was talking him we were all talking and we were all

( james ) a judge dismissed most of the charges against a man shot by san francisco police during a confrontation. body camera video captured the incident. it happened in january. police responded to the oceanview home of sean moore over a noise complaint.

the 43-year-old repeatedly told officers to get off his steps. the situation escalated and police fired at moore. moore was accused of kicking and hitting officers in a confrontation that led to his shooting. ( james ) moore is scheduled to go to trial tomorrow on one count of misdemeanor violating a stay away order and felony battery causing serious injury. ( james ) a gruesome discovery in vallejo. about a dozen, decomposing dogs found in trash bags. the dogs were found off columbus parkway and lake herman road. right near the blue rock springs park and golf club. kron 4's justine waldman spoke with the woman who made the horrific discovery.

could not wrap my mind around it i was horrifiedwhat's left now, a ripped trash bag after wild animals reached the dead dogs.and several skins covered in thick matted hair.carine wanted answers but says vallejo police and animal control declined to investigate.so she contacted cares, an animal rescue group in solano county.nats what is left here is a dog it looks like the coyettes tried to drag it awaycares opened the trash bags to see about a dozen disintegrating dogs from yorkies, to a shepard mix, a poddle and a golden retriever. sot they looked cleaned and groomed like they was somebodies petcares discovered even more disturbing items the tools believed used to kill the dogs. shovels and long sticks with sharp blades and box cutters taped to the tops. sot there is blonde hair in one of the tools stillthe dogs did not have tags or collars on and were too decomposed to find any micro-chips that would help link a missing dog to its owner.now, someone has placed a red teddy bear next to a once fluffy dog tail to remember the dogs tossed away. sot it is scary because most serial killers do start with animalssot just knowing something insidious has happened to these animals justine:cares is now offering a 2-thousnad dollar reward for any information that leads to the arrest of the person who would do this.live in vallejo justine waldman kron 4 news.

( james ) in national news.. the white house moving on one of president trump's biggest campaign promises tax reform. his team outlined the administration's proposal. it's one that leans heavily on tax cuts. stacey cohan with more on the plan. the white house is going big on one of his major campaign promisessteve mnuchin/ treasury secy: under the trump plan we will have a massive tax cut for businesses and massive tax reform and simplification. secretary steven mnuchin and national economic director gary cohn treasury laid out trump's vision for tax policy. reducing the corporate tax rate from 35 to 15 percent would be the biggest tax cut in u.s. history, mnuchin claims. the white house wants tax relief for middle income families, an end to the alternative minimum tax....

and a simplified tax code.gary cohn/white house chief economic adviser: by taking the current seven brackets we have today and reducing them to only three bracket. a 10 percent bracket, a 25 percent bracket and a 35 percent bracket. but democrats and some deficit hawks appear to be united in their opposition - questioning how the country will pay its bills.sen. chuck schumer, -d- minority leader: that's just a tax giveaway to the very very wealthy that will explode the deficit speaker paul ryan - who would be tasked with getting the votes to pass any tax cuts - says he's been briefed on the details. but a senior gop source tells cnn the administration has not yet explained how these cuts would be paid for. this initial draft comes as leaders in congress continue to negotiate over a deal to fund the government, which runs out of money at the end of friday.in washington, i'm stacey cohan ( james ) san francisco congresswoman nancy pelosi clearly is not impressed by the trump tax plan. saying... focusing on hard- working families as he promised, president trump's tax outline is a wish list for billionaires. what few details are here overwhelmingl y cut taxes for the richest and do little for middle class americans and those trying ( james ) after weeks of negotiations, republican lawmakers have introduced a new amendment to a bill to repeal and replace the affordable heatlhcare act. the so-called macarthur amendment cleared its first major hurdle by winning over the conservative freedom caucus. now, it will mainly be up to moderate g-o-p members to get this key piece of legislation passed. the revised measure aims to give states the chance to limit coverage for pre-existing conditions, and cut back on medicaid. two issues that are sticking points for many moderates. state university... and this morning the attackers are still on the loose. it happened early yesterday morning at east san carlos street and 4th street. police say at one point the group of women teamed up on one victim. kicking her in the head several times. she is now in the hospital suffering significant head trauma. and... the city of berkeley is still bracing for protests even though conservative commentator ann coulter will not be speaking today at u.c. berkeley. campus police say they are prepared for the worst. police will be patrolling around campus. although ann coulter will not be there the controversy surrounding her visit is far from over. berkeley college republicans filed a lawsuit this week. they claim that the university is trying to limit conservative speech by not ensuring coulter's safety. also... friends are mourning the loss of a high school student who died while training for the marines. 17-year-old floyd burrell was a senior at pittsburg high school. on tuesday evening, he collapsed at veterans park in brentwood during a training exercise to

( james ) days after we told you about the disturbing mob robbery on bart a woman who says she was the target of a similar robbery has come forward to kron4. she says bart police did ánotá take the assault seriously enough and now she wants answers. she shared her story with kron4's maureen kelly. i didn't know what was going on i know when i originally reported to police i thought multiple people were hitting me newly arrived college grad tess pawlisch just learned a hard lesson about riding public transit in the bay area. febuary, the same month she moved here for a job in politics, the 22 year old says she was sitting on a bart train while travelling thru oakland...looking at her phone on the train when she was attacked. it turned out it was just one teen girl who ran off the train when it stopped at the west oakland station. despite witnesses alerting the train operator for help...the train left the station and bart pd wasn't alerted until

the next day when the victim reported it. she was diagnosed with post concussion syndrome and had to miss a lot of days at her new job. but there are other lingering effects of this attack.i'm scared to take public transportation and i think that's so unfortunate because we are so lucky to live in a city that has an incredible public transportation system. not every city in the country has that but it needs to be safe people need to be able to use it and not be fearful to write it.a month after the incident she emailed and called bart pd to get an update on the investigation.and then reached to her witnesses.... she has text messages from her witnesses....one whom a month later says she had not been contacted by police....another saying she was called by police on april 6th.i feel like bart dropped the ball the acting deputy chief agrees with that assesement."a delay of a month is unacceptable, that is not a competent level for any type of investigation. i became aware of that delay approximately two weeks ago, that situation was addressed. i really want to apologize personally to that victim. it is completely unacceptable. my job is to make sure that it doesn't happen again. i've also put in protocols in my unit, the investigative unit to try and mitigate to make sure that doesn't happen again. but that is not a common practice. and it is unacceptable." pawlisch says she hopes bart pd has truly learned from this incident and is trying to improve...and

isn't just saying that to deflect media scrutiny. after this experience she is considering the possibility of running for the next open bart board seat. maureen kelly kron4 news ( james ) in oakland... some of the survivors of the fire that killed four and tore through a low-income apartment last month are now suing 15 former tenants claim the building on san pablo avenue had "slum conditions'. they are also accusing the building's owners and managers of ignoring a string of fire code violations. the march 27th fire which fire officials said was caused by a candle killed four people. 6 others were also injured in the blaze. the fire also displaced about 100 people who lived in the

( james @ landing) the residents of a warehouse in san francisco's bernal heights neighborhood have been evicted from their home. it is one of the first cases of occupants of a warehouse being forced to move in san francisco. this comes after 36 people were killed in the ghost ship warehouse fire in oakland, back in december. kron 4's charles clifford spoke with one of the tenants who was kicked out. natsnathan cottam has lived in this two story warehouse for two and a half years, but no longer. on wednesday, san francisco sheriff's deputies served the building's residents an eviction notice and the locks on the front door were changed.sot

( james ) first it was an incident on united airlines, then american airlines, now delta. a man says he was kicked off a plane preparing for takeoff after taking a bathroom break. a passenger caught the incident on camera. terry sater has the story. natscell phone video of milwaukee man kima hamilton's interaction with delta last week when other passengers realized he was being kicked off the milwaukee bound flight from atlanta for going to the bathroom.natshamilton told us today the plane was delayed taking off and he couldn't wait any longer to use the bathroom.kima hamilton/delta customer:"sometime later, we're still taxied. the plane hadn't moved and it's at an emergency stage now."krista

suffering serious head trauma. nearby business owners say there has been an increase in violence in the neighborhood. just this year there have been at least two shootings on the same street. ( mark ) police are making progress in tracking down the group of teenagers who jumped on a train and robbed and attacked several passengers.( darya ) anny hong is here with the latest developments and how bart is trying to prevent future robberies. anny. ( anny ) police have identified some of the roughly 50 to 60 teenagers who stormed a bart train at the coliseum station in oakland. arrest warrants have been issued for some of the suspects...and bart police are hoping local schools will be able to help them identify more kids. about 60 teenagers jumped the fare gates... boarded a train and robbed at least seven people and punched at least two of them. police believe the kids are all under the age of 18. because all of the suspects are minors...investigators are not releasing the surveillance video from the attack. ( anny ) and now... just

days after that attack bart says it has a new strategy to prevent potential attacks. at the lake merritt station tuesday night, a bart worker saw at least three teenagers jump the gate without paying their fare. a bart employee called police who then instructed the trains to keep moving through the station so the teens could not get on the train. the teens were able to get away before police arrived. bart says not stopping the trains could prevent group robberies from happening in the future. ( anny ) although the teens weren't able to get on the train.... it was an inconvenience for passengers who missed their stop. bart says people affected in the future will have to get off at the next stop and get on a train headed back to their original destination. back to you. exposed himself to two 13-year-old girls near a bus stop. police say enrique cisneros was found at the bus stop and matched the description given by the two girls. the incident happened yesterday morning at a bus stop on atlantic avenue. when officers arrived, cisneros took off running but police eventually caught up with him. he is being charged with indecent exposure. ( mark ) breaking overnight... firefighters in vallejo put out a house fire that broke out early this morning. this is video from the scene. it happened just before 1:00 this morning on benicia road. firefighters say nobody was home at the time of the fire. investigators say the fire does appear suspicious. ( darya ) in the east bay... friends are mourning the loss of a high school student who died while training for the marines. 17-year-old floyd burrell was a senior at pittsburg high school. on tuesday evening, he collapsed at veterans park in brentwood during a training exercise to prepare for the marine corps. floyd was planning on attending boot camp once he

graduated in june. kron four spoke with friends and classmates who say they are struggling to cope with floyd's death. ( darya ) floyd's father says his son died from an asthma attack. ( mark ) a judge has dismissed most of the charges against a man shot by san francisco police officers. body camera video captured the incident in january. police responded to the oceanview home of sean moore over a noise complaint. the 43-year-old repeatedly told officers to get off his steps. they say moore eventually started hitting and kicking the officers. that's when they opened fire. moore is still facing one felony battery charge. ( darya ) the fresno man

accused of killing three people in a racially-motivated shooting rampage has been formally charged with murder. kori ali muhammad faces three counts of first degree murder. he was also charged with attempted murder for shooting at people he didn't hit. police say the 39-year-old told investigators he wanted to kill as many white people as possible. earlier this week muhammad was charged with a fourth murder that happened just days before the shooting spree. if convicted, muhammad faces a death sentence or life in prison. this morning his attorney says muhammad may not be mentally competent enough to stand trial. blue rock springs park and golf club. peters says she told animal control and the solano county sheriff's office but they did not look into it. so she contacted an animal rescue group called "cares" in solano county. the rescue group says it found long sticks with sharp blades and box cutters which may have been used to kill the animals. ( anny ) the dogs did not have tags or collars. they were too decomposed to even find a microchip that would help link them to an owner. back to you. ( mark ) a bay area man has his car stolen three times... and the last time he decided to do take matters into his own hands. the man was out with his friends tuesday night in san francisco and when he returned to his car.. it was gone. there was a g-p-s on the car and it

showed that the car was driving across the bay bridge. he called police who told him not to chase after the car but to file a police report. but instead the man and his friends called an uber and followed the stolen car all the way to a parking lot in pleasanton. they found the car with the thieves inside it. they called police again and two people were arrested. although this story had a good outcome, police encourage you not to take these types of matters into your own hands. ( darya ) united airlines is making more policy changes after a man was violently dragged off a plane in chicago. the airline says it will now limit its use of law enforcement to safety and security issues only. it will not require customers seated on the plane to give up their seat involuntarily unless safety or security is at risk . and they are

increasing the amount they can offer passengers to give up their seat up to 10-thousand dollars. some of the policy changes have already been implemented, while others are set to roll out in the near future. ( mark ) ending hate speech. that is the main focus for students and staff at one california state university. a rally was held yesterday at c-s-u stanslaus calling for an end to hate speech. this comes after a student at the school is seen punching a woman at a pro-trump demonstration in berkeley. the student seen on video is known as a leader of a white nationalist group. an online petition now calls on school administrators to take action against him.

wb 80 is less then 30 min from the maze to sf. ace train delay up to 20 min ( darya ) the recent mob attack by dozens of teenagers on a bart train has prompted another victim to come forward. she says bart police did not take the assault on her seriously enough. 22-year-old tess pawlisch was attacked while riding on bart in oakland back in february. she says she was looking at her phone when a teenage girl attacked her and then ran off the train at the west oakland station. witnesses alerted

the train operator for help, but the train left the station and bart police were not alerted until the next day when pawlisch reported it. ( darya ) pawlisch says she reached out to bart police a month after the attack but did not get a response. the acting deputy chief says he was made aware of the case just two weeks ago and has since apologized for the delay. ( mark ) people living in a warehouse in san francisco's bernal heights neighborhood have now been evicted. deputies served the notice yesterday and changed the locks on the front door. the warehouse has been inspected by the city and had numerous safety violations. tenants tried to address those concerns, but lost a court battle against the warehouse owner that might have allowed them to stay.

this is one of the first warehouse evictions since the ghost ship warehouse fire in oakland that killed 36 people. ( mark ) despite the tenants filing post-trial motions that will be heard in two weeks...the eviction is moving forward any- ways. ( darya ) the man accused of a mass killing at an oakland university makes a brief appearance in court. 48-year-old one goh is accused of killing seven people at oikos university in 2012. in court yesterday, goh's plea was delayed until next tuesday. prosecutors say he dropped out of oikos several months before the shooting and wanted his tuition refunded. court appointed doctors say goh is now mentally competant to stand trial. being investigated as a hate crime in vacaville. this is new cell phone video showing a white mercedes engulfed in flames. it happened near a gas station. you can see the fire burning a power pole just feet from nearby gas pumps. k-k-k was spray painted on the car before the fire was started. the owner of the gas station say this is the second time that racist graffiti was found in the area. he says k-k-k was also painted on the side of his building and on one of his gas pumps. he thinks that it could be the same person responsible for both incidents. ( mark ) happening now a standoff continues after a state trooper was shot and killed in delaware. the trooper was gunned down yesterday afternoon. this is video of the scene where the officer was killed. the shooter than barricaded himself in a home and this morning there are reports that he started shooting at police. police say they have tried to negotiate a peaceful

surrender but he is refusing to come out. ( mark ) after weeks of negotiations, republican lawmakers have introduced a new amendment to a bill to repeal and replace the affordable care act. the amendment cleared its first major hurdle by winning over the conservative freedom caucus. now it will mainly be up to moderate republicans to get this key piece of legislation passed. the revised measure aims to give states the chance to limit coverage for pre-existing conditions and cuts back on medicaid. ( mark ) the issues of pre-existing conditions and money for medicaid have been sticking points for many moderate republicans in the past. darrin bravo made his first court appearance yesterday. he was arrested over the weekend in sonoma county. police say that he tried to grab a woman on steiner street in san francisco. she was not injured. bravo is charged with attempted kidnapping and is being held million dollars bail. ( mark ) we are now hearing from some of the survivors of the oakland fire that killed four people as it tore through a low-income apartment last month. they claim the building had slum conditions. 15 former tenants are suing the building's owner. they are also accusing the owners and managers of ignoring a string of fire code violations. the march 27th fire... which fire officials said was caused by a candle... killed four people. 6 others were also injured in the blaze. the fire also displaced about 100 people who lived in the building.

( darya ) in san jose. . . police identify a man who was shot and killed over the weekend at a motel-six. officers responded to reports of the shooting at around 3:30 saturday morning. they found 22-year-old dominic lashawn junior and two other men suffering gunshot wounds. the two other men were treated for their injuries which were nonlife-threatening. smith died at the scene. no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting. this is the city's eighth homicide this year. ( darya ) police have made an arrest after fires were set inside trump international hotel in las vegas. the fires were reported wednesday in the women's bathroom on the pool deck... and in the hallway of the 17th floor. one security officer was injured as a result of the

fire. officials found two devices in each area. according to firefighters the devices were toasters used to intentionally set the fires. they have arrested a man... but have not released his identity. authorities charges of first degree burglary. ( mark ) a woman is rescued after being kidnapped and trapped in a hole in the ground. the woman was reported missing yesterday morning in blanchester, ohio. she was found in a backyard after neighbors reported hearing faint cries for help and called police. police found the woman trapped in a hole that was about 4 foot deep. the small pit was covered with wood and heavy objects to keep her from escaping. police were able to arrest the man who kidnapped her. ( mark ) u-s senators met with president trump's top security officials to discuss the growing tensions between the united states and north korea. the briefing happened yesterday with all 100 senators taking buses to the white house. president trump spoke briefly but the session was lead by his national security team. north korea is expected to

( anny @ land ) this is new surveillance video showing several women fighting each other outside a jack in the box. it happened early yesterday morning at east san carlos street and 4th street. police say the group of women ganged up on one victim... kicking her in the head several times. she is now in the hospital suffering serious head trauma. nearby business owners say there has been an increase in violence in the neighborhood. just this year there have been at least two shootings on the same street. ( mark ) and now... just days after that attack bart says it has a new strategy to prevent potential attacks. at the lake merritt station tuesday night, a bart worker saw at least three teenagers jump the gate without paying their fare. a bart employee called police who then instructed the trains to keep moving through the station so the teens could not get on the train. the teens were able to get away before police arrived. bart says not stopping the trains could prevent group robberies from happening in the future. ( darya ) new this morning...fairfield police have arrested a man they say exposed himself to two 13-year-old girls near a bus stop. police say enrique cisneros was found at the bus stop and matched the description given by the two girls. the incident happened yesterday morning at a bus stop on atlantic avenue. when officers arrived, cisneros took off running but police eventually caught up with him. he is being charged with indecent exposure. ( darya ) breaking overnight... firefighters in vallejo put out a house fire that broke out early this morning. it happened just before 1:00 this morning on benicia road. firefighters say nobody was in the home at the time of the fire. investigators does appear because the home is vacant. school student who died while training for the marines. 17-year-old floyd burrell was a senior at pittsburg high school. on tuesday evening, he collapsed at veterans park in brentwood during a training exercise to prepare for the marine corps. floyd was planning on attending boot camp once he graduated in june. kron four spoke with friends and classmates who say they are struggling to cope with floyd's death. ( darya ) floyd's father says his son died from an asthma attack. ( darya ) a judge has dismissed most of the charges against a man shot by san francisco police officers. body camera video captured the

incident in january. police responded to the oceanview home of sean moore over a noise complaint. the 43-year-old repeatedly told officers to get off his steps. they say moore eventually started hitting and kicking the officers. that's when they opened fire. moore is still facing one felony battery ( darya ) the fresno man accused of killing three people in a racially-motivated shooting rampage has been formally charged with murder. this morning his attorney says kor ali muhammad may not be mentally competent enough to stand trial. muhammad faces three counts of first degree murder. he was also charged with attempted murder for shooting at people he didn't hit. police say the 39-year-old told investigators he wanted to kill as many white people as possible. earlier this week muhammad was charged with a fourth murder that happened just days before the shooting spree. if convicted, muhammad faces a death sentence or life in prison.

( mark ) a gruesome discovery near a trail in vallejo.. dozens of decomposed dogs found in trash bags. carine (ka-reen) peters found the dead dogs near the blue rock springs park and golf club. peters says she told animal control and the solano county sheriff's office but they did not look into it. so she contacted an animal rescue group called "cares" in solano county. the rescue group says it found long sticks with sharp blades and box cutters which may have been used to kill the animals. ( mark ) the dogs did not have tags or collars. they were too decomposed to even find a microchip that would help link them to an owner. ( darya ) president trump has released his new tax reform plan. the administration is calling it the largest tax reform in the history of the country. included in the president's proposal is a plan to cut the

the antioch couple accused of trying to kill an 11-month-old baby are due in court. marcel brooks and his girlfirend adanna ibe were arrested last week. the shooting happened inside a mcdonald's in san leandro. police say the baby was with his mother when ibe walked up and fired a single shot and then left the restaurant. police say it was a miracle that she missed. investigators later learned that brooks is the baby's father. the two are set to appear in court later this morning. ( mark ) an 86-year-old woman is dead after being beaten to death in sacramento county. police say this

was a random attack and the attacker is still on the loose this morning. the attack happened as she was walking around a high school track yesterday in north highlands. the victim was with another woman who was also injured in the attack, but she is expected to recover. police say a man walked up to the two women and punched and kicked them. by the time police arrived the woman was already dead and the attacker had gotten away. ( mark ) a second cable car conductor is arrested in connection with embezzlement for stealing money he collected from riders in san francisco. police arrested 55-year-old david reyes last night. this comes just one week after police arrested another cable car conductor for pocketing fares. that conductor is accused of taking over 900-dollars, but that amount could go up. when police searched his home they found at least 32-thousand dollars in cash in a safe. he has pleaded not guilty to embezzlement charges. local transportation officials say it may no longer take cash payments in its cable car system. has his car stolen three times... and the last time he decided to take matters into his own hands. the man was out with his friends tuesday night in san francisco and when he returned to his car.. it was gone. there was a g-p-s on the car and it showed that the car was driving across the bay bridge. he called police who told him not to chase after the car but to file a police report. but instead the man and his friends called an uber and followed the stolen car all the way to a parking lot in pleasanton. they found the car with the thieves inside it. they called police again and two people were arrested. although this story had a good outcome, police encourage you not to take these types of matters into your own hands. ( anny @ land ) 22-year-old tess pawlisch was attacked while riding on bart in oakland back in february. she says she was looking at her phone when a teenage girl attacked her and then ran off the train at the west oakland station. witnesses alerted the train operator for help, but the train left the station and bart police were not alerted until the next day when pawlisch reported it. ( anny @ land ) pawlisch says she reached out to bart police a month after the attack but did not get a response. the acting deputy chief says he was made aware of the case just two weeks ago and has since apologized for the delay. being investigated as a hate crime in vacaville. this is new cell phone video showing a white mercedes engulfed in flames. it happened near a gas station. you can see the fire burning a power pole just feet from nearby gas pumps. k-k-k was spray painted on the car before the fire was started. the owner of the gas station say this is the second time that racist graffiti was found in the area. he says k-k-k was also painted on the side of his building and on one of his gas pumps. he thinks that it could be the same person responsible for both incidents. ( mark ) people living in a warehouse in san francisco's bernal heights neighborhood have now been evicted. deputies served the notice yesterday and changed the locks on the front door. the warehouse has been inspected by the city and had numerous safety violations. tenants tried to address those concerns, but lost a court battle against the warehouse owner that might have allowed them to stay. this is one of the first warehouse evictions since the ghost ship warehouse fire in oakland that killed 36 people.

( mark ) after weeks of negotiations, republican lawmakers have introduced a new amendment to a bill to repeal and replace the affordable care act. the amendment cleared its first major hurdle by winning over the conservative freedom caucus. now it will mainly be up to moderate republicans to get this key piece of legislation passed. the revised measure aims to give states the chance to limit coverage for pre-existing conditions and cuts back on medicaid. ( mark ) we are now hearing from some of the survivors of the oakland fire that killed four people as it tore through a low-income apartment last month.( darya ) anny hong is here with more on the lawsuit against the buildings owner. anny? ( anny ) the survivors of that fire claim the building had slum conditions. 15 former tenants are suing the building's owner. they are also accusing the owners and managers of ignoring a string of fire code violations. the march 27th fire... which fire officials said was caused by a candle... killed four people. six others were also injured in the blaze. the fire also displaced about 100 people who lived in the building.

( darya ) ending hate speech. that is the main focus for students and staff at one california state university. a rally was held yesterday at c-s-u stanslaus calling for an end to hate speech. this comes after a student at the school is seen punching a woman at a pro-trump demonstration in berkeley. the student seen on video is known as a leader of a white nationalist group. an online petition now calls on school administrators to take action against him.
