that sparked angry protests and some violence.. his speech was eventually canceled... but yiannopoulos says he plans to return to berkeley. it's not clear when that might happen... or if ann coulter plans to make an appearance at the school. (catherine) happening now... police in walnut creek are investigating a shooting - that left one woman dead. the gunman remains at large. (grant) it happened this afternoon around 1:30... near the lindsay wildlife experience. when police arrived - they found the woman lying in the street. kron four's haaziq madyun just talked to police. a murder in the quiet larkey park neighborhood in walnut creek and police investigators say the murder suspect is stiil at large

minutes later and found a female that had been shot multiple times. officers and medical teams provided life saving measures however the female passed away. the suspect is described only as a male">now although police are still looking for the murder suspect, investigators say at this point it doesn't appear the public is in any danger...in walnut creek haaziq madyun kron4news (catherine) police say two passengers on a muni train were held at gunpoint and robbed in san francisco's bayview district yesterday. a young man and woman were robbed of things including jewelry, a cell phone...and a wallet. police say the victims weren't injured. it happened around 2- pm...and investigators say the man who pulled the gun then ran off with two other men. no arrests have been made. (grant) happening now... bart is holding a special meeting - to discuss its problems with fare evaders.

just over the weekened... about 50 teenagers...hopped the fare gates at the oakland colesium bart station and then robbed and attacked several bart riders. a similar sitaution almost unfolded at the lake merritt station on tuesday night... when a bart worker saw at least three teenagers jump the gate without paying their fare. that employee called police... who then instructed the incoming train to keep moving through the station so the teens could not get on the train. bart board members will be discussing this complicated problem at tonight's meeting - which is open to the public. (grant) one week after a san francisco cable car conductor was accused of stealing cash ride fares...a second conductor has been accused of doing the same thing. san francisco police arrested 55-year-old david reyes wednesday. reyes now faces embezzlement and theft charges for taking the money he collected from riders. the arrest comes just one week after

another conductor was charged in a similar case. the city's transportation agency contacted police after they started noticing discrepencies in the fare receipts reported by some conductors. authorities have not said how much the men are accused of stealing. (catherine) in fresno. a judge has ordered a mental evaluation of the man charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of men randomly targeted on the street. the judge suspended the criminal case of kori ali muhammad for the doctor's evaulation. he's charged with killing four men, including the earlier shooting of an unarmed motel security guard investigators say the 39-year- old told them he wanted to kill as many white people as possiblelaughing as he explained his actions. if convicted, muhammad faces either a death sentence - or life in prison. kits.... the aim is to reduce the backlog of untested evidence.. the state assembly today unanimously passed a bill that would require departmentsto report information on untested kits..... that bill now heads to the senate. assemblyman david chiu says there are more than 6- thousand untested rape kits in california...and no clear information on how many are collected....and why some aren't tested. the kits contain d-n-a evidence from victims. opponents argue the reporting requirements would be too burdensome for police departments. (grant) employers can now legally pay women less than men for the same work... based on their previous salaries.. a federal appeals court announced the decision today.. the ninth u-s circuit court had overturned a lower-court ruling that said basing pay off ápriorá salary was discriminatory.. this ruling came from a lawsuit filed by a fresno school district employee back in

(grant) and happening now... hundreds of protesters have gathered in berkeley - to protest the cancellation of conservative commentator ann coulter's planned speech at the school. you are looking at live video of the protests... coulter's speech was scheduled for today - but was canceled over security concerns. in the past few months - the school has dealt with several protests that had turned violent. so far things have been relatively quiet - police say they have made a few arrests. but we will continue to monitoring this developing this monitoring continue to but we will continue to monitoring this

(catherine) early this morning... demonstrators started making their way to martin luther king junior civic center park in anticipation of a large protest...(grant) and, as kron four's philippe djegal reports... the demonstrators came prepared for violence (philippe) dressed for battle... a group of demonstrators who call themselves pro-trump... stood at martin luther king junior park wearing helmets and bullet proof vests.... brett reeves/pro-trump- "i brought a bunch of medical supplies to help both sides. uh, saline solution, and things in case people get mased -- in case people start bleeding." brett reeves drove up from los angeles to be here. john beavers traveled from belfair washington, hoping political commentator and author anne coulter decided to make an

appearance. beavers joined the protest, despite having his nose broken during the april 15th demonstration.john beavers/pro-trump- "i'm here to protect the people who can't defend themselves." demonstrators began showing up here before 10 o'clock in the morning... but they didn't start giving speeches until about 12-45 in the afternoon. so, in between all of that time there was just a lot of standing around... and, talking amongst themselves. nats- minor pro and anti-trump clash. through the late morning and afternoon... there were minor clashes between pro and anti-trump protestors. all with the berkeley police department standing by. some locals were upset that so many from outside of the bay area came to use berkeley as a platform for free speech.no name- "i feel like them being here is disrespectful, because they don't go where they at, they want to come here." berkeley high school students stopped by during their lunch hour to be apart of the demonstration. even those ryoga (ree-oh-guh) vee, who considers himself a liberal... says conservatives have the right to gather peacefully. ryoga vee/anti-trump- "i don't have to be a trump supporter

(catherine) fairfield police have arrested a man who's accused of exposing himself to two young girls.. officers say it happened wednesday...and call the man a repeat offender. police say two 13-year-old girls were walking on atlantic avenue when enrique cisneros exposed himself near a city bus stop.. the girls reported the incident and police quickly found and arrested cisneros on charges of indecent exposure. police say the 25-year-old is already on probation for

three other crimes involving lewd acts in public. they say they've also found videos on his cell phone - showing him doing similar things all over fairfeild. (catherine) daly city police have arrested a man accused of four counts of indecent exposure. investigators sent out this suspect sketch...after a young girl and two adultsreported the man for indecent exposure in public areas in march. last week investigators identified the suspect as 53- year-old san francisco resident anthony merino. he's now been booked on five felonies....and the investigation is continuing. (grant) a big story we've been following... united airlines has reached a settlement with the passenger who was dragged off a plane in chicago. you remember the video that went viral...after boarding... doctor david dao was ordered off an overbooked united flight earlier this month. when he refused to

leave... he was dragged off...bruised and bloodied in the process...other passengers...aghast. dao's attorneys did ánotá disclose financial terms of the agreement...but say the united c-e-o "did the right thing" (grant) now the airline is taking steps to make sure history won't repeat itself... united issued a press release today... detailing results of an internal review after the incident. the report includes a review of what led up to the faux pas... and recommendations to prevent it from happening again. among the changes: reducing the amount of overbooking... and increasing customer compensation for over booked flights...up to ten-thousand dollars. some of the policy changes have already been implemented, while others are set to roll out soon. (catherine) yet more apparent fall-out from the united incident... southwest airlines is 'also' making some changes.. the airline says it plans to stop overbooking flights...the industry-wide

practice that was the source of trouble on the united flight. last year southwest bumped 15- thousand passengers from flights...which is more than any other airline. today a southwest spokesperson said they've now got better waysto avoid trouble - including a new reservations system coming online next month. along with what the airline calls "better forecasting tools" -- southwestsays it will no longer need to overbook flights. fighting isis in afghanistan. the two americans were conducting a joint operation with afghan forces. so far... few details have been released about how they died military officials say the service members were with the special operations forces. a third soldier was killed in the fire fight that killed the soldiers. there is not one shred of evidence that he, that general flynn, got permission to receive this foreign money or that he acknowledged receipt of it." (grant)president trump's former national security adviser is now accused of concealing hundreds of thousands of dollars iin payments from foreign governments... after being warned that the payments were illegal,retired general michael flynn lasted only 24 days in his white house position.(catherine) he was fired for lying about his conversations with russia's ambassador in the weeks before donald trump took office. the 'new' allegations are much more serious.

rep. cummings: "i am releasing a letter that was sent directly ... directly to general flynn in october 2014." the letter specifically informed flynn he could not accept any payments from a foreign government without congressional approval.the pentagon's warning was bold, italicized and could not have been clearernevertheless, the next year flynn collected 45,000 dollars for a dinner with russian president vladimir putin in moscow.and his company took in more than half a million dollars for representing the turkish government."we have no evidence, zilch, that he obtained permission from the secretary of the army and the secretary of state to accept any foreign government payments as required by law" elijah cummings, the ranking democrat on the house oversight committee said the pentagon is conducting its own investigation.and he accused the trump administration of stonewalling the committee' request for more information. (grant) in sacramento county. police say a man used his hands and feet, no weapon... to kill an 86-year- old woman on a high school track. officers arrested the 18-year-old man yesterday on suspicion of assaulting another elderly woman later in the day several miles away. they say the teen is a person of interest in the homicide...but has not been charged. the 86-year-old woman and a 61-year-old companion were walking on a high schol track around six a.m. when a man punched and kicked them. killing the older woman. police belive the attack was random.
