(grant) kron4's maureen kelly was in the thick of the march today... which she describes as loud but peaceful. the traditionally loud and colorful may day parade celebrating international workers day was especially passionate today....many chanting and carrying signs targeting the trump administration's policy on immigration.here's a banner reading sanctuary for

all....many carried signs reading no ban no wall.78 year old gloria hernandez used a walker on her march....holding a sign saying ice....or immigration and customs enforcement.... doesn't belong here.....i honestly believe that this is the worst thing that's going on with our country right now and i've seen a distraction and the remorse the fearfulness we can't let this happen again we have got to resistone half of this couple is wearing a traditional latin american costume, the other draped in the american flag.we have to support her people especially the work girls the immigrants that work in the fields those people they need a lot of support because without them we're not gonna have foodmany of the people wore shirts reading a day without immigrants.....and many of those here took the day off their job to not only protest....but to celebrate. we're celebrating the hands that raise peoples children's that cleans peoples homes that

of san francisco's sunset district. where a teenager was shot and killed while driving down sunset boulevard. and the shooter has not been caught. it happened this afternoon near kirkham street. officers say the victim - a 15-year-old boy was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. police have not released a suspect description. anyone with informatin is asked to call police. (grant) and we are also following two breaking news stories out of texas... dallas police say one person shot a neighbor... and then opened fire on the paramedic trying to help the victim. both the injured paramedic and the victim... are in the intensive care unit at a local hospital. officers say incident was the result of a dispute between the two neighbors. a police robot searched a nearby home and found the suspect dead after reportedly shooting himself. a second dead person was found in the same home. (grant) and in austin, texas... a stabbing at the university of texas campus leaves one person dead - and

three other students injured. the suspect - who has now been identified as kendrex white, a u-t student - is in police custody. the other victims have all been taken to a local hospital - with 'serious' injuries. at this time - police do not have a motive. (vicki) another big story we are following tonight... bart officials say they have made a second arrest in connection to the mob attack that happened late last month. this is the second juvenile suspect now in custody. police continue to use surveillance footage to identify and search for up to sixty young suspects involved in the attack. the mob stormed a train at the coliseum bart station and robbed at least seven passengers and injured two in the process. the agency that was in charge of installing cameras on all train cars... revealed some cameras on trains are decoys. (vicki) a long legal dispute between the city of san francisco and two short- term rental companies has finally been settled...(grant)

catherine heenan is here with details on the agreement reached with 'airbnb' and 'home away...' (catherine)dallas police say that a shooting that critically wounded a paramedic today - began as a dispute between two neighbors... and we now know that the suspected gunman has been found dead.. a huge manhunt for him ended a few hours ago -- when the suspect's body was found in a dallas home... a 'second' person was also found dead in that house - and police aren't releasing many details yet. but a police official says the shooter and a person found shot in the street were

neighbors who'd been arguing....and the dispute escalated into a shooting. authorities say that as emergency responders were treating that injured civilian - another person approached, opened fire and critically injured the paramedic... the search for the gunman lasted hours. at last word the paramedic is out of surgery and in intensive care... (steve)police confirm one person is dead, and three people are injured in a stabbing on campus at university of texas at austin. this is video of one of the victims being treated on campus. police say the suspect -- kendrex j- white -- is a u-t student.he is in custody. white stabbed the three victims with a hunting knife. police say all the stabbings happened within a one-block area. he did not resist arrest. police are still investigating a motive.facebook activated its safety check-in feature for anyone concerned about friends or loved ones at u-t austin. happening right now: the community is getting its chance to sound off about the oakland school district ending

its service deal with a-c transit. earlier this year this district announced it would end the agreement. that would eliminate 17 bus routes but more importantly... create a potential hassle of parents... particularly low-income families. the school district has paid for the service since 1997 but says the state decided to cut its transportation funding. this forced the district to pickup the 2-and-a-half million dollar tab. pounds of marijuana... inside a casket. the 28 year old suspect is facing narcotics smuggling charges after the hearse he was driving was stopped by border patrol. officers say drug dogs were brought in after the driver had an inconsistent story. the dogs were able to sniff out the drugs despite several bags of manure that had been placed inside the casket in an attempt to conceal the marijuana odor. the 67 pounds of marijuana that was seized has a street value of over 33 thousand dollars. authorities say the suspect is a u.s. citizen.
