like today in san francisco... thousands of people marching for immigrant workers rights took over market street. (vicki) many of the demonstrators speaking out against the trump administration immigration policies. (grant) kron4's maureen kelly was in the thick of the march today... which she describes as loud but peaceful. the traditionally loud and colorful may day parade celebrating international workers day was especially passionate today....many chanting and carrying signs targeting the trump administration's policy on immigration.here's a banner reading sanctuary for

all....many carried signs reading no ban no wall.78 year old gloria hernandez used a walker on her march....holding a sign saying ice....or immigration and customs enforcement.... doesn't belong here.....i honestly believe that this is the worst thing that's going on with our country right now and i've seen a distraction and the remorse the fearfulness we can't let this happen again we have got to resistone half of this couple is wearing a traditional latin american costume, the other draped in the american flag.we have to support her people especially the work girls the immigrants that work in the fields those people they need a lot of support because without them we're not gonna have foodmany of the people wore shirts reading a day without immigrants.....and many of those here took the day off their job to not only protest....but to celebrate. we're celebrating the hands that raise peoples children's that cleans peoples homes that

cleaning office buildings that make us beautiful hotel rooms look crus we're celebrating the contributions of workers and workers working families here in san francisco. today is a celebration of what immigrants bring.unlike other recent protests involving the current president i saw no counter protestors or angry clashes...and by late this afternoon there were no reported arrests.maureen kelly kron4 news. 5:09 pm
catherine heenan is here with details on the agreement reached with 'airbnb' and 'home away...' (catherine) this ends a lawsuit filed by airbnb and rival company home- away... they'd argued san francisco came down on them way too hard -- including big fines and lots of red tape when it came to registering with the city... not much of that has changed - but the settlement at least makes it easier to register.hosts can now do that right on the web sites of air-b-n-b and home away. one of the big problems has been the fact that relatively few vacation rental hostshave actually registered. san francisco's city attorney says that's going to change...
5:10 pm
the city has long argued that vacation rentals siphon off precious housing units.... by givinglandlords an incentive to turn permanent housing into profitable illegal hotels. city law meantime, still limits the number of days a unit can be rented. also - more than one listing by an owner is not allowed. grant and vicki? (rob live) in a symbolic gesture aimed at the presidents proposed wall on the border with mexico, these marchers have been erecting and then knocking down a mock wall at several locations as they made their way here and then used those same props to erect a bridge here in the park to symbolize their message what america should be doing is building bridges not walls. live in san jose rob fladeboe kron 4 news (grant) snow in the sierra is helping to end the state's five year drought. just a few hours ago...water officials did a final snow measurement for the season. as the temperatures heat up,
