( marty @ landing ) breaking news. a three vehicle crash has closed all northbound lanes of interstate 880 in fremont. two of the vehicles involved are big-rig trucks. it happened around 3:40 this morning. this is just south of auto mall expressway. according to c-h-p, one of the big-rigs overturned and landed on it's side. the east bay. concord police are investigating the grim discovery of a body in the bushes near a chuck e cheese. kron four's averi harper is live in concord with the latest. good morning averi. ( averi ) a man is found dead near a chuck e cheese in concord. police say this happened on willow pass between gateway boulevard and market street around 9:00 saturday morning. when police arrived, they found the man's body in some bushes. detectives are investigating this morning. there is no cause of death at this time and his idenity has not been released. ( marty ) bart riders traveling on the fremont line will have to take a bus bridge between the fruitvale and lake merrit stations today. bart is doing major track repairs between those stations. the bus bridge might mean delays of twenty to thirty minutes. bart plans to have the stations opened in time for tomorrow morning's commute. arrested on suspicion of attacking police officers after a concert. it happened friday night. petaluma police responded to reports of fights in front of the phoenix theater and in the keller street garage. authorities say they found a mob in the garage throwing beer bottles at people below. police say concert security reported a minor had assaulted them. police say the officers were spit upon, hit and were concerned for their safety. two adults and two minors were arrested on suspicion of battery on a police officer, public intoxication and obstruction of justice. ( marty ) covering calfiornia. one of the men injured in last week's pool shooting rampage in san diego is sharing his story of terror this morning. kelly hessedal reports. san diego police say they've found no evidence that a deadly shooting rampage at a pool party was racist, although most victims were black.the white gunman, peter

selis, killed a woman and wounded six people sunday at the apartment complex where he lived before police killed him. all but two victims were black. some survivors have said they believe selis selected minority victims.but assistant police chief brian ahearn says selis made no statements and had no materials in his home indicating the attack was a hate crime.he says investigators who interviewed party guests and acquaintances determined that selis was bankrupt and despondent about a recent breakup with his girlfriend.in a statement, family members say that they can't understand what prompted selis to attack.

year-old timothy piazza the direct result of a night of heavy drinking. piazza died two days after a party at the beta theta pi fraternity house at penn state. prosecutors say he died from a traumatic brain injury. it was result of several falls, including one down a flight of basement stairs. the fraternity did not call 9-11 until the next morning after the accident. penn state has banned beta theta pi's chapter from campus. ( marty ) eighteen members of the fraternity now face charges. eight of them are charged with involuntary manslaughter. beta theta pi international fraternity described the "nature of those charges" as "incredibly disheartening." ( marty ) a longtime u.s. bobsledding star who won three olympic medals was found dead in new york. the u.s. olympic committee announced the death of steven holcolmb. the cause remains unknown. but, police say there were no indications of foul play. holcomb was only 37. ( marty ) san bruno police arrested four people in an anti-human-trafficking operation. police made the arrests at a home on herman street friday afternoon. after a month long investigation detectives uncovered information and evidence to link four suspects on prostitution and pimping charges. the suspects are in custody. this case is still under investigation. ( marty ) a big story we are following this morning.. a series of crimes around stanford university in the last few weeks has students on edge. some of those crimes include sexual assaults and a person exposing himself. and the latest crime is an attempted burglarly according to campus police. kron 4's hermela aregawi spoke to students on campus about their safety. police are looking for the man that they say tried to break into this dorm, a student living at roble hall

discovered a man trying to pry his screen open.the suspect fled.wyatt pontius/stanford student:i heard that a man approximately 40 years old attempted to break in by taking a screen off of the window but they ran away as soon as the student saw them in the window. this is the first incident of crime at this hall all year long and like i said the university si very good about keeping us informed so i still feel very safe.this is one of several incidents in the last month. earlier this week, police arrested this jun nicado pegarido on prowling charges. police are also looking into whether he's responsible for two indecent exposure incidents last nmonth.jack dewey/student:it's concerning you see the police out a little bit more on the street. you can tell that they're trying to ramp it up but its such a big campus.i remember last year someone walked on and was looking at people changing so its hard to prevent something liek that. also last month, two people were sexually assaulted within minutes of each other.both victims were groped around 11

( marty ) in san diego, a 15-year-old boy is dead this morning after he is shot and killed by police. police say the boy pointed a b-b gun at an officer outside of a san diego high school saturday. they said he then called 9-1- 1 before being fatally shot. the teenager was struck several times and later died at a hospital. both officers were wearing body cameras, but it's unclear if that footage will be released. ( marty ) 70-students at a school district in northern california have gotten sick but what made them so ill is still a mystery. in yolo county, students in woodland stayed home friday,

complaining of nausea and diarrhea. officials believe that the symptoms they have are consistent with norovirus. the outbreak is still under investigation. the virus began in one of the city's schools about a week ago. there are some signs the illness has peaked. the district says it's doing a thorough cleaning of school buildings to prevent the spread of any illness. schools in the nearby community of elverta have reported a similar illness. ( marty ) in bakersfield. more than 50-farm workers have been exposed to a pesticide. they got sick while harvesting cabbage at a farm friday morning. the incident shut down harvesting operations after some of those workers complained of sudden illness. their symptoms included vomiting and nausea. first responders decontaminated the site and one worker was hospitalized.

social networks.what makes one video go viral?and another a dud?i visited youtube's headquarters in san bruno to find out. kevin alloca, who is based in new york, oversees the trending tab on youtube that features the videos getting the most buzz. the videos that land in this sacred section are chosen by software.. an algorithm identifies the uploads getting the most views, buzz, and shares. kevin says to go viral a video has to inspire participation from the viewer.

( marty ) the f-d-a has just approved a new drug for a-l-s. its maker says the drug can slow down the patients' physical decline by one-third. it is the first drug approved specifically for the illness in more than 20-years. a-l-s is a degenerative disease affecting the ability to control muscle movements. up to 15- thousand americans suffer from it. and its cause in still unclear. the new drug is expected to be on the market in august. ( marty ) you have probably heard of yoga with your baby or even with dogs or cats. but what about yoga with a bunny? yoga fans in kansas city had the opportunity to do their routine as bunnies hopped around the room. it was part of an event called "bunnies, buns and yoga." the event was a fundraiser for the group that cares for domestic rabbits who prefer to live indoors.

( marty ) also in the north bay, four people were arrested on suspicion of attacking police officers after a concert. it happened friday night. petaluma police responded to reports of fights in front of the phoenix theater and in the keller street garage. authorities say they found a mob in the garage throwing beer bottles at people below. police say concert security reported a minor had assaulted them. police say the officers were spit upon, hit and were concerned for their safety. two adults and two minors were arrested on suspicion of battery on a police officer, public intoxication and obstruction of justice. university are facing manslaughter charges in the death of a pledge. a grand jury called the death of 19- year-old timothy piazza the direct result of a night of heavy drinking. piazza died two days after a party at the beta theta pi fraternity house at penn state. prosecutors say he died from a traumatic brain injury. it was result of several falls, including one down a flight of basement stairs. the fraternity did not call 9-11 until the next morning after the accident. penn state has banned beta theta pi's chapter from campus. ( marty ) eighteen members of the fraternity now face charges. eight of them are charged with involuntary manslaughter. beta theta pi international fraternity described the "nature of those charges" as "incredibly ( marty ) still ahead.

the shooting happened at about 1:30 a.m. in the 300 block of 14th street, about two blocks east of broadway. the victim was taken to a hospital. no word on the condition of the victim. ( marty ) san bruno police arrested four people in an anti-human-trafficking operation. police made the arrests at a home on herman street friday afternoon. after a month long investigation detectives uncovered information and evidence to link four suspects on prostitution and pimping charges. the suspects are in custody. this case is still under investigation. ( marty ) a big story we are following this morning.. a series of crimes around stanford university in the last few weeks has students on edge. some of those crimes include sexual assaults and a person exposing himself. and the latest crime is an attempted burglarly according to campus police. kron 4's hermela aregawi spoke to students on campus about their safety. police are looking for the man

that they say tried to break into this dorm, a student living at roble hall discovered a man trying to pry his screen open.the suspect fled.wyatt pontius/stanford student:i heard that a man approximately 40 years old attempted to break in by taking a screen off of the window but they ran away as soon as the student saw them in the window. this is the first incident of crime at this hall all year long and like i said the university si very good about keeping us informed so i still feel very safe.this is one of several incidents in the last month. earlier this week, police arrested this jun nicado pegarido on prowling charges. police are also looking into whether he's responsible for two indecent exposure incidents last nmonth.jack dewey/student:it's concerning you see the police out a little bit more on the street.

( marty ) 70-students at a school district in northern california have gotten sick but what made them so ill is still a mystery. in yolo county, students in woodland stayed home friday, complaining of nausea and diarrhea. officials believe that the symptoms they have are consistent with norovirus. the outbreak is still under investigation. the virus began in one of the city's schools about a week ago. there are some signs the illness has peaked. the district says it's doing a thorough cleaning of school buildings to prevent the spread of any illness. schools in the nearby community of elverta have reported a similar illness. ( marty ) in bakersfield. more than 50-farm workers have been exposed to a pesticide. they got sick while harvesting cabbage at a farm friday morning. the incident shut down harvesting operations after some of those workers complained of sudden illness. their symptoms included vomiting and nausea. first responders decontaminated the site and one worker was hospitalized.

( marty ) a farm official says a highly toxic pesticide called "vulcan" was used on a nearby field thursday night. but it's still unclear if that's the reason for the sudden sickness of the workers. the kern county health department has cleared the area and said it's safe for people to return. ( marty ) eight fraternity brothers at penn state university are facing manslaughter charges in the death of a pledge. a grand jury called the death of 19- year-old timothy piazza the direct result of a night of heavy drinking. piazza died two days after a party at the beta theta pi fraternity house at penn state. prosecutors say he died from a traumatic brain injury. it was result of several falls, including one down a flight of basement stairs. the fraternity did not call 9-11 until the next morning after the accident. penn state has banned beta theta pi's chapter from campus. ( marty ) san bruno police arrested four people in an anti-human- trafficking operation. police made the arrests at a home on herman street friday afternoon. after a month long investigation detectives uncovered information and evidence to link four suspects on prostitution and pimping charges. the suspects are in custody. this case is still under investigation. a series of crimes around stanford university in the last few weeks has students on edge. some of those crimes include sexual assaults and a person exposing himself. and the latest crime is an attempted burglarly according to campus police. kron 4's hermela aregawi spoke to students on campus about their safety. police are looking for the man that they say tried to break into this dorm, a student living at roble hall discovered a man trying to pry his screen open.the suspect fled.wyatt pontius/stanford student:i heard that a man approximately 40 years old attempted to break in by taking a screen off of the window but they ran away as soon as the student saw them in the window. this is the first incident of crime at this hall all year long and like i said the university si very good about keeping us informed so i still feel very safe.this is one of several incidents in the last month. earlier this week, police arrested this jun nicado pegarido on prowling charges. police are also looking into whether he's responsible for

1 before being fatally shot. the teenager was struck several times and later died at a hospital. both officers were wearing body cameras, but it's unclear if that footage will be released. ( marty ) 70-students at a school district in northern california have gotten sick but what made them so ill is still a mystery. in yolo county, students in woodland stayed home friday, complaining of nausea and diarrhea. officials believe that the symptoms they have are consistent with norovirus. the outbreak is still under investigation. the virus began in one of the city's schools about a week ago. there are some signs the illness has peaked. the district says it's doing a thorough cleaning of school buildings to prevent the spread of any illness. schools in the nearby community of elverta have reported a similar illness. ( marty ) in bakersfield. more than 50-farm workers have been exposed to a pesticide. they got sick while harvesting cabbage at a farm friday morning. the incident shut down harvesting

operations after some of those workers complained of sudden illness. their symptoms included vomiting and nausea. first responders decontaminated the site and one worker was hospitalized. ( marty ) a farm official says a highly toxic pesticide called "vulcan" was used on a nearby field thursday night. but it's still unclear if that's the reason for the sudden sickness of the workers. the kern county health department has cleared the area and said it's safe for people to return. approved a new drug for a-l-s. its maker says the drug can slow down the patients' physical decline by one-third. it is the first drug approved specifically for the illness in more than 20-years. a-l-s is a degenerative disease affecting the ability to control muscle movements. up to 15-thousand americans suffer from it. and its cause in still unclear. the new drug is expected to be on the market ( marty ) you have probably heard of yoga with your baby or even with dogs or cats. but what about yoga with a bunny? yoga fans in kansas city had the opportunity to do their routine as bunnies hopped around the room. it was part of an event called "bunnies, buns and yoga." the event was a fundraiser for the group that cares for domestic rabbits who prefer to live indoors. rescued three kittens that were trapped inside a construction vehicle. this happened in redwood city earlier this week. they were trapped in a boom lift so they were not visable.. a passerby heard the three week old kittens. that's when crews arrived at the corner of arguello street and brewester avenue. veterinarians believe they were trapped for at least a couple of days. they are all recovering now. they will go up for adoption when they weigh two pounds. ad lib final 7 day forecast
