( james ) our top story this morning. a shoot out between police and a gunman in san jose... it's the third time in the past week that officers there have had to fire their weapons. kron four's spencer blake explains how it all started. "this was the scene on tully road sunday morning and into the afternoon as police used cones and tape, blocking people off from their investigation into an officer- involved shootout."(pkg)the first calls about a suspicious man with a handgun came into police just before eight a-m. "as officers arrived on scene and began giving the suspect commands, the suspect pulled out a 45-caliber pistol and fired at the direction of the officers."one of the san jose police officers on scene shot back."i see like only two shots over here - boom boom." then the suspect took off,

running towards hometown eastridge mobile home park. police say he jumped a fence and hid.a man who lives there was blocked from getting home while police but he managed to snap this photo of the suspect on his knees with his hands up."no injuries were reported."plenty of passersby stopped on the street to see what was happening while the street was closed."i came out of our apartment - our apartment is just beside big 5 - and then they police interviewed us, whether we heard something."the shooting follows wednesday night's incident where san jose police shot and killed a man suspected of killing his girlfriend's parents in the willow glen neighborhood.the night before that, police shot and killed a man who they say came charging at an officer with two kitchen knives raised. "the continued violence toward law enforcement officers is also equally appalling. we're very lucky we did not lose an officer today."as it turns out, the gun the suspect used sunday was stolen in a 2013 burglary, though he is not a suspect in that case.the man has been booked into the santa clara county jail, and will

face three counts of attempted murder of a police officer.in san jose, spencer blake, kron four news. ( james ) this morning police are looking for the people who abducted an uber driver in san francisco. the driver was held at gunpoint and forced to drive to richmond. the driver told police he was off-duty when a man and a woman got into his car and demanded a ride. according to the victim, the man had a gun and the woman had a knife. police say the two then forced the driver to cross the bay bridge and take them to richmond. they also made him stop at an a-t-m and take out cash. so far nobody has been arrested. ( james ) shocking allegations against a north bay county official. longtime marin chief deputy coroner, darrell harris, is accused of molesting a young girl... for years. kron four's hermela aregawi is at the sheriff's office where he worked in san rafael and has details on the case. tonight - darrell harris is in humboldt county jail.after being arrested in eureka thursday.the 40 something year old could face up to 6 years in prison if he's convicted of sexually abusing a child

between 2008-and 2011.harris is facing several other chrages which include lewd acts and oral sex with a minor 14-17 years of age between 2011 and 2015.and a misdemeanor charge of sexual battery involved the same victim.the deputy coroner was working in the marin county sheriff's department at the time.we reached out to the department.in a statement, they say:"we are deeply saddened and troubled by mr. harris' arrest. we will be initiating an internal review of this matter as well.our thoughts are with the victim during this difficult time." now because harris worked there, the santa rosa police department will be doing the investigation to avoid conflic tof interest.darrell harris will be arraigend tomorrow. reporting in san rafael, hermela aregawi, kron 4 news. ( james ) a woman is in critical condition this morning after being found beaten inside a man's car.

santa rosa police say the woman was found unconscious near montgomery drive and second street.(ááátriggerááá). police got a call from witnesses who said a man was beating a woman and then forced her into his car. officers spotted the attacker's vehicle and pulled the driver over. police say a woman was in the back seat suffering from life- threatening injuries. they also found a weapon next to the driver's seat. police have identified the suspect as 56-year-old robert holladay. police arrested him on charges of attempted murder and kidnapping. ( james ) jury deliberations will continue this morning in the case against the man accused of murdering sierra lamar. sierra went missing in 2012... her body has never been found. but 26 year old antolin garcia-torres is charged with her murder and faces the death penalty or life in prison if convicted. during the trial... the defense argued this is a missing persons or runaway case. the prosecution says lamar's d-n-a was found on a pair of work gloves and rope in garcia- torres's trunk. sierra's clothes were also recovered in a field. they had garcia-torre's d-n-a on them as well.

( james ) there will be continued flaring at the valero refinery in benicia while crews work to restore full operations. valero has advised the city that it is switcing the flaring from the south flare to the north flare. the purpose of the switch is to allow crews time to fully inspect the south flare. this all started with a power outage at the refinery friday morning that led to flaring which released massive plumes of thick black smoke into the air, prompting an evacuation in the area. we brought you live coverage of that, as it was happening friday morning. there is no word on how much longer the flaring will continue. ( james ) happening tonight.. the golden state warriors look to sweep the utah jazz and head to the western conference finals. the dubs lead the series 3 games to none. they dominated the first two games at oracle.. then outscored the jazz by 9 points in the 4th quarter of game 3 to win in utah. in that game, the warriors matched a franchise playoff record for fewest turnovers in a game with just 7. they had no turnovers the second half of that game. tip-off is set for 6:00

tonight in salt lake city. ( james ) and the warriors will be without head coach steve kerr again tonight. he is out indefinitely right now with back problems. general manager bob myers spoke about kerr yesterday at practice. he said kerr had a procedure done at duke university in north carolina on friday. his spine was drained in hopes that it will alleviate the health issues that have forced him to take a temporary leave of absence from the team. this is similar to procedures that he has had in the past. kerr had back surgery about two years ago and has been dealing with complications ever since.

in concord, according to police. police said officers responded to willow pass between gateway boulevard and market street around 9 a.m. on reports of a man that appeared to be deceased. upon arrival, officers found the mans body in some bushes, and confirmed he was dead. detectives were called to the scene immediately to investigate. police said the mans identity is not being released at this time, and the cause of death was not yet known. ( james ) in yosemite, park rangers have issued a missing person alert.

alexander joseph sevier was last seen in housekeeping camp on may first. the 24-year- old is a navy serviceman was hiking alone. park rangers say he missed his flight home and now believe he got lost after locating is car inside the park. ( james ) a hiker who broke her ankle on a remote mount diablo trail was airlifted to safety and taken to a hospital. the call for the contra costa county sheriff's chopper came saturday afternoon. once at the scene, rescue crews say the female hiker was on the ground and not moving. authorities did not say how she injured herslef, but that the trail was steep and terrain was unstable. the victim is expected to make a full recovery. ( james ) in san diego, a 15-year-old boy is dead this morning after he is shot and killed by police. police say the boy pointed a b-b gun at an officer outside of a san diego high school saturday.

they said he then called 9-1- 1 before being fatally shot. the teenager was struck several times and later died at a hospital. both officers were wearing body cameras, but it's unclear if that footage will be released. ( james ) a former police officer will face murder charges for killing an unarmed teenager near dallas last weekend. roy oliver was booked in jail friday night and released after posting bail. officials say evidence suggested he intended to cause serious injury to jordan edwards. the 15-year-old was shot and killed while riding as a passenger in a car. but oliver was fired after body cam footage showed the car was moving away from police before edwards was shot. oliver had said the car was moving in an threatening manner towards him. ( james ) voters in france chose emanuel macron in sunday's presidential election. though macron was favored in the polls, some had wondered if it would result in another election upset like the one that propelled donald trump to the white house. reid binion reports.

( james ) north korea has detained another american on suspicion of acts against the government. this is now the fourth american being detained in north korea. pyongyang says kim hak-song is suspected of hostile acts against the government. north korean officials say he was doing business with the pyongyang university of science and technology. the american was detained saturday but there's no word on what charges he is facing. ( james ) in nigeria... government officials say 82 schoolgirls who were kidnapped by boko haram more than three years ago are now free. negotiations with the islamic extremist group resulted in the girls' release. they are believed to be from the group of 276 schoolgirls kidnapped back in 20-14. they were transported to the

capital for medical check ups, and reunited with their families. ( james ) bay area baseball. the giants trying to leave cincinnati with a least a win over the reds. a big task for johnny cueto after the g-men allowed 27 runs over the last two games. cueto has 10 strikeouts in 7 innings, but it just isn't enough. the giants are shutout. the reds win 4 to 0 and sweep the 3 game series. they play the mets tonight at 5:00. ( james ) let's head over to the colseium, the a's hosting the detroit tigers.. it was a back and forth game between the two teams. but oakland has a big 9th inning and ryon healy hits the walk-off home run. the a's win in a walk-off for the second game in a row. final score 8 to 6. they host the angels tonight. ( james ) still ahead... the healthcare bill may have cleared the house. but now faces a hurdle in the senate. we'll explain what changes lawmakers are likely to make.

we're coming up on 4-30... here are the big stories we're working on for you this morning... one man is behind bars this morning after another officer involved shooting in san jose. police say he started firing at officers at around 8:00 yesterday morning on tully road. police shot back, but did not hit the man as he ran away. he was later arrested. the gunman faces three counts of attempted murder of a police officer. the officer who fired at the man is now on paid administrative leave. longtime marin chief deputy, coroner darrell harris is accused of molesting a young girl. he was arrested thursday in eureka. police say the sexual abuse went on multiple times between 2008 and 20-11. the victim was between 14 t0 17 years old at the time. harris faces multiple chagres this morning. warriors head coach steve kerr underwent a spinal cord procedure. he remains out indefinitely. his spine was drained in hopes that it will alleviate the health issues that have forced him to

searching for a man they say attacked a victim at a party on the campus of stanford. this one happened just before one in the morning yesterday on the east side of campus. police say the man was being escorted out a party at a student residence when he punched the victim. he then ran away and was last seen wearing a red and white cleveland cavaliers jersey. the victim suffered minor injures. ( james ) a concord police officer and his k-9 partner are recovering this morning after their patrol car was struck by a suspected drunk driver. according to concord police-- the officer was invesigating a crash when he heard a pick-up truck speeding his way. the officer jumped inside his partol car- where the k-9 was waiting in attempts to move it. the police officer was not able to get out of the way in time and the truck smashed into the patrol car. the officer and k-9 were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. the suspect was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

( james @ landing ) in national headlines. the house narrowly passed legislation to overhaul the affordable care act and now it's on its way to the senate. house speaker paul ryan insists the bill passed by the house provides the best coverage... david daniel explains how others think it will be 'dead on arrival' once it reaches the senate. health and human services secretary, dr. tom price made his rounds on the sunday talk show circuit defending the new g-o-p backed health care plan. tom price: "it may not help the government, it may not help insurance companies, but it's a huge benefits to patients."the house handed the president a major win in congress on thursday, with a narrow victory to start repealing and replacing obamacare. "the yea are 217 and the nays are 213. the bill is passed."the legislation may have cleared the house.. but it is unlikely to receive a warm reception in its next stop: the senate. "the senate will write its own bill." whether the senate starts from scratch with its own bill, or works with the version

( james ) the barge that sunk near yerba buena island is now upright. according to coastguard officials-- "vengeance" is still under water near the transbay tube... last night, the coastguard successfully turned the barge. and divers have plugged all the oil leaks. now teams will create a plan to make the barge float again. coastguard officials say it is not harming the under water train track. winds may have knocked the barge over last month. ( james ) the f-d-a has just approved a new drug for a-l-s. its maker says the drug can slow down the patients' physical decline by one-third. it is the first drug approved specifically for the illness in more than 20-years. a-l-s is a degenerative disease affecting the ability to control muscle movements. up to 15- thousand americans suffer from it. former 49er dwight clark just announced this year that he has the disease. it's cause in still unclear. the new drug is expected to be on the market in august. ( james ) car buglaries continue to rise in san francisco. kron four's stanley roberts explains who is targeted and how to fight the problem in this morining's people behaving badly. we were here visiting; we went to the ferry building and decided since i already fed the meter instead of driving to just walk nicely down the street to the penny arcade jennifer and family visiting from texas walked about a mile and a half walk along the embarcadero. however while

they walked something bad happened nats: ambiance san francisco police responded to a report of suv being broken into at the intersection of broadway and davis the read side window had been shattered and unknown contents were removed nats: i would love for them to just show up that because the items that were not stolen were sitting in plain view for easy pickings. so now officers need to enter the suv so they can secure the items that were not stolen nats: auto alarm items which included a gun safe, some electronic items, a digital camera and a pouch containing social security numbers there was still two hours left on the meter which means all their belongings would be exposed for more thieves if action were not taken nats: would you do me a favor could you run a texas plate to see if you can find a phone number officers scramble to try and locate the registered owner of the suv or else they would have to tow it to avoid more problems(for the record if towed it would not cost the victim any money) finally the family was located at pier 41 so what was stolen my daughter lost her laptop her whole backpack which she is

continued flaring at the valero benicia refinery while crews work to restore operations of the facility. valero has advised the city that it is switcing the flaring from the south flare to the north flare. the purpose of the switch is to allow crews time to fully inspect the south flare. this all started with a power outage at the refinery friday morning that led to flaring which released massive plumes of thick black smoke into the air, prompting an evacuation in the area. there is no word on how much longer the flaring will continue. ( james ) this is the third officer involved shooting in san jose since last tuesday. police say a man started firing at them around 8:00 yesterday morning on tully road. police shot back... didn't hit him... but the man then ran away. officers later found him hiding at a nearby mobile home park. they arrested him. the shooting follows wednesday night's incident

( mark ) happening today... the man accused of murdering a castro valley woman and setting her house on fire will be in court this morning. 36-year-old luckie dacany of stockton is charged with the murder of andrea saint john. the remains of the 59-year-old woman were found in the garage of her castro valley home in december. officials say dacany killed saint john with a knife then set her house on fire. court documents show he has admitted to the murder. dacany faces the death penalty if convicted. ( mark ) jury deliberations will continue this morning in the case against the man accused of murdering sierra lamar. sierra went missing in 2012.

her body has never been found but 26 year old antolin garcia-torres is charged with her murder and faces the death penalty or life in prison if convicted. during the trial... the defense argued this is a missing persons or runaway case. the prosecution says lamar's d-n-a was found on a pair of work gloves and rope in garcia- torres's trunk. sierra's clothes were also recovered in a field. they had garcia-torre's d-n-a on them as well. ( darya ) this morning police are looking for the people who abducted an uber driver in san francisco. the driver was held at gunpoint and forced to drive to richmond. the driver told police he was off-duty when a man and a woman got into his car and demanded a ride. according to the victim, the man had a gun and the woman had a knife. police say the two then forced the driver to cross the bay bridge and take them to richmond. they also made him stop at an a-t-m and take out cash. so far nobody has been arrested. critical condition this morning after being found beaten inside a man's car. santa rosa police say the woman was found unconscious near montgomery drive and second street.(ááátriggerááá). police got a call from witnesses who said a man was beating a woman and then forced her into his car. officers spotted the attacker's vehicle and pulled the driver over. police say a woman was in the back seat suffering from life- threatening injuries. they also found a weapon next to the driver's seat. police have identified the suspect as 56-year-old robert holladay. holladay was arrested on charges of attempted murder and kidnapping. ( mark ) teachers, parents and students will be protesting today against the closure of oakland unified school district's reading clinic. teachers and administrators say the district plans to close the "special education reading clinic" at the end of this year. the clinic offers students one-on-one tutoring with reading specialists. teachers, students and parents will meet at cole school on union and tenth streets to protest at 5:00 tonight.

( darya ) north korea has detained another american on suspicion of acts against the government. this is now the fourth american being detained in north korea. pyongyang says kim hak-song is suspected of hostile acts against the government. north korean officials say he was doing business with the pyongyang university of science and technology. the american was detained saturday but there's no word on what charges he is facing. ( darya ) u-s military forces say the leader of isis in afghanistan is dead.

the person who tried to break into a residence hall by prying open a window screen. it was actually a student who scared him off. that student told police he heard noises at his window and when he looked out he saw a person holding the window screen. the would be burglar ran off. and over the last month there have also been reports of indecent exposure and assault. students we spoke with say they've noticed anxiety levels going up. ( james ) last week police arrested this man... he charged with prowling on campus. investigators are looking to see if he's behind two indecent exposure incidents last month. also last month, two people were sexually assaulted within minutes of each other. police are still looking for the attacker in that case. students we spoke to say the university is doing a good job of keeping them informed about all of the incidents on campus. we'll let you know if police make any progress in their investigations. back to you.

( darya ) a man has been found dead near a chuck-e-cheese in concord. the body was found saturday morning on willow pass road between gateway boulevard and market street. officers say the man's body was lying in between some bushes. police have not said how the man died or released his name. ( mark ) a concord police officer and his k-9 partner are recovering after their patrol car was hit by a suspected drunk driver. concord police say the officer was investigating a crash when he heard a pick-up truck speeding his way. the officer jumped inside his partol car and tried to move the car. the officer was not able to get out of the way in time and the truck smashed into the patrol car. the officer and k-9 were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. the truck driver was arrested. ( mark ) a hiker who broke her ankle on a remote mount diablo trail was airlifted to safety and taken to a hospital. contra costa county sheriff's deputies say the hiker was on the ground and not moving when they got to her. officials say the trail she was on was steep and

homelessness. mayor ed lee says the city is getting a 100- million dollar donation from a non-profit organization called tipping point. the goal is to cut homelessness in the city in half over the next 5 years. the money will be used to create new housing and improve mental health and child welfare systems. ( darya ) president trump could soon be forced to release his tax returns. a new proposal in the president's home state of new york would require him and other elected officials to make their state tax returns public. legal experts say new york's proposed law is likely to be upheld because it is being done at the state level. according to recent polls... a majority of americans believe that the president should release his tax returns. ( darya ) former acting attorney general sally yates will testify in front of the senate today about what she told the trump white house in regard to michael flynn's ties to russia. yates says she warned the white house regarding then-national security advisor michael flynn and his ties to russia nearly three weeks before he was

( mark ) a 10-year-old girl is recovering after she was attacked by an alligator in florida. the girl was swimming in a lake on saturday when a gator bit her leg. she was able to kick off the gator and swim away. a man heard her screaming and jumped into the lake. ( mark ) the 10-year-old girl was taken to the hospital and got ten stitches to her leg. the gator was captured and euthanized. valero has advised the city that it is switcing the flaring from the south flare to the north flare. the purpose of the switch is to allow crews time to fully inspect the south flare. this all started with a power outage at the refinery friday morning that led to flaring which released massive plumes of thick black smoke into the air, prompting an evacuation in the area. there is no word on how much longer the flaring will continue. ( darya ) happening today... the man accused of murdering a castro valley woman and setting her house on fire will be in court this morning. 36-year-old luckie dacany of stockton is charged with the murder of andrea saint john. the remains of the 59-year-old woman were found in the garage of her castro valley home in december. officials say dacany killed saint john with a knife then set her house on fire. court documents show he has admitted to the murder. dacany faces the death penalty if convicted. ( darya ) this morning police are looking for the people who abducted an uber driver in san francisco. the driver was held at gunpoint and forced to drive to richmond. the driver told police he was off-duty when a man and a woman got into his car and demanded a ride. according to the victim, the man had a gun and the woman had a knife. police say the two then forced the driver to cross the bay bridge and take them to richmond. they also made

him stop at an a-t-m and take out cash. so far nobody has been arrested. ( mark ) police are working to identify a body that was recovered from the feather river in live oak. it is the same area where police were searching for aly yeoman just one month ago. police found yeoman's truck and cell phone shortly after she went missing. the 20-year-old was last seen at a friend's house in yuba city. investigators searched that home but police say they did not find anything suspicious. the sutter county sheriff's office says they are still working to determine if the body is connected to aly yeoman's disappearance. ( mark ) in yosemite national park, park rangers have sent out a missing person alert. alexander joseph sevier was last seen in housekeeping camp on may first. the 24-year-old is a navy serviceman was hiking alone. park rangers say he missed his flight home and now believe he got lost after locating is car inside the park. cents a gallon above the price a year ago. taking a look at prices around the bay area... in oakand and san jose a regular gallon of gas is $3.00. and in san francisco i t will cost you $3.12 ( darya ) students at stanford university should take extra precaution this morning after two more crimes were reported on campus over the weekend. the most recent incident happened early yesterday morning. police are looking for someone who asaulted a man on the east side of campus. the victim is expected to be ok. police are also looking for the man who tried to break into a residence hall by prying open a screen on a window. that man ran away after a student caught him trying to break in. and over the last month there have also been reports of indecent exposure and assault. and students say they are starting to see an increased police presence.

( darya ) last week police arrested this man on prowling charges on campus. police are also trying to determine if he's responsible for two indecent exposure incidents last month. also last month, two people were sexually assaulted within minutes of each other. police are still looking for the attacker in that case. students we spoke to say the university is doing a good job of keeping them informed about all of the incidents on campus. ( mark ) the governor of texas signed a bill that bans sanctuary cities in the state. here is video of crowds protesting the bill yesterday... the law allows police to ask about the immigration status of anyone they detain. the new measure would fine local government and law enforcement up to about 25-thousand dollars for each day the law is violated. the measure goes into effect on september first. a federal court in san francisco blocked president trump's executive order intended to crack down on sanctuary cities. ( mark ) a federal appeals court is set to hear arguments about president trump's

revised travel ban. today will be the first time the court has done this since it was issued two months ago. the court will decide whether it's constitional to suspend new visas for people from six muslim majority countries. those are syria, iran, libya, somalia, sudan and yemen. this ban has already been blocked by a federal judge in hawaii. ( darya ) north korea has detained another american on suspicion of acts against the government. this is now the fourth american being detained in north korea. pyongyang says kim hak-song is suspected of hostile acts against the government. north korean officials say he was doing business with the pyongyang university of science and technology. the american was detained saturday but there's no word on what charges he is facing. ( darya ) u-s military forces say the leader of isis in afghanistan is dead. the pentagon says he was killed in a raid last month. the raid involved u-s army rangers and afghan special security forces. the pentagon says the april 27th

here's a quick look at the top stories we're following this morning... there will be continued flaring at the valero benicia refinery while crews work to restore operations of the facility. valero has advised the city that it is switcing the flaring from the south flare to the north flare. the purpose of the switch is to allow crews time to fully inspect the south flare. this all started with a power outage at the refinery friday morning.( darya ) a man is behind bars this morning after another officer involved shooting in san jose. this is the third officer involved shooting in san jose since tuesday. police say a man started firing at them around eight yesterday morning on tully road. police shot back, but did not hit the man as he ran away. police later arrested the uninjured man at a nearby mobile home park.( mark ) a man accused of killing a castro valley woman and setting her house on fire will appear in court this morning. 36-year-old luckie dacany of stockton is charged with the murder of andrea saint john. her remains were found inside her garage.

( mark ) eight students at penn state university are charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of a student pledging a fraternity. 19-year-old timothy piazza died from a traumatic brain injury two days after a night of heavy drinking at the beta theta pi fraternity house. it was result of several falls, including one down a flight of basement stairs. the fraternity did not call 9-11 until the next morning after the accident. an attorney for the piazza's family described the details in the grand jury's report as "chilling."

( darya ) a concord police officer and his k-9 partner are recovering after their patrol car was hit by a suspected drunk driver. concord police say the officer was investigating a crash when he heard a pick-up truck speeding his way. the officer jumped inside his partol car and tried to move the car. the officer was not able to get out of the way in time and the truck smashed into the patrol car. the officer and k-9 were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. the truck driver was arrested. ( darya ) a hiker who broke her ankle on a remote mount diablo trail was airlifted to safety and taken to a hospital. contra costa county sheriff's deputies say the hiker was on the ground and not moving when they got to her. officials say the trail she was on was steep and the

terrain was unstable. ( mark ) the f-d-a has just approved a new drug for lou gehrig's disease or a-l-s. its maker says the drug can slow down the patients' physical decline by one-third. it is the first drug approved specifically for the illness in more than 20-years. a-l-s is a degenerative disease affecting the ability to control muscle movements. up to 15-thousand americans suffer from it. and its cause in still unclear. the new drug is expected to be on the market in august. ( mark ) the city of san francisco is taking new steps to reduce homelessness. according to mayor ed lee the city is getting a 100- million dollar donation. the goal is to cut homelessness in the city in half over the next 5 years. the money will be used to create new housing and improve mental health and child welfare systems. ( darya ) former acting attorney general sally yates will testify in front of a senate panel today. yates says she warned the white house regarding then-national security advisor michael flynn nearly three weeks before he

was fired. that contradicts what the trump administration said took place. yates' testimony will be the first time the former acting attorney general will publicly speak about the white house meeting. ( mark ) a 10-year-old girl is recovering after she was attacked by an alligator in florida. the girl was swimming in a lake on saturday when a gator bit her leg. she was able to kick off the gator and swim away. a man heard her screaming and jumped into the lake. ( mark ) the 10-year-old girl was taken to the hospital and got ten stitches to her leg. the gator was captured and euthanized. (mark) stocks are edging lower in early trading on wall street as the market comes off record high closes the week before. the standard & poor's 500 index slipped 1 point to 2,397. the dow jones industrial average lost 23 points, or 0.1 percent, to 20,981.

( darya ) and the giants struggled over the weekend in cincinnati. johnny cueto on the mound. he finished the game with 10 strikeouts in 7 innings. but the offense couldn't get anything going. the giants are shutout. the reds win 4 to 0 and sweep the 3 game series. the giants play the mets tonight at 5:00.
