morning... san jose police are searching for two people who they say are wanted for robbery and assualt with a deadly weapon. it happened at about 5:45 yesterday afternoon. police say two people driving in a stolen car did not stop when officer tried to pull them over. the pair then fled on foot in the area of bodie court and

( marty ) our top story this morning, a deadly officer-involved shooting rocks a quiet east bay neighborhood... kron four's spencer blake spoke with witnesses in pleasanton and explains what happened. yellow tape. police cars parked for hours.none of these are things you find very often in pleasanton."my son had actually just come up the street maybe ten minutes before that, riding his bike, and there was nothing going on at that time. and then i left for work and it was all roped off."what happened in between that time frame was quick. someone had called 9-1-1 from burgundry drive about a family disturbance a little before noon.when officers showed up "the garage door opened and inside the garage door was a male adult. the male walked toward the officers holding a firearm and pointing it in their direction.""they actually had to shoot him and he died.'oh my gosh! that's terrible! that's.wow.'"at a saturday afternoon press

(averi) glen kaplan went missing in concord exactly one week ago today-- on mothers day. he told his family that he was leaving for a meeting at the time. a person in the area of clayton road and ayers road called police around 11:20 saturday morning. that's when they reported an unresponsive man in a parked car. when police got to the scene-- the man was confirmed dead. they have idtentifed him as glen kaplan. kaplan was 48 years old and the father of two. at this point of the investigation, police say there is no indication of foul play. ( marty ) bay area basketball. the golden state warriors are now just one game away from again advancing to the n-b-a finals. the spurs again were short handed as coach gregg popovich ruled out kawhi leonard for game 3 of the western conference finals. it was a better effort from the spurs in this one. but, the warriors were too much to handle. kevin durant led the way with 33 points and 10 rebounds.

( marty @ bam ) with over 50-thousand runners hitting the streets, expect there to be a lot of road closures and traffic. the race starts at main and howard streets near the embarcadero. then it runs west through the city and finishes at the great highway at ocean beach. bart has been running special trains since 6:00 this morning morning at 20-minute intervals. and caltrain has already started four northbound trains with service to the race. ( marty ) a bill making it's way through the state senate could change the way some people pay for traffic tickets. the proposal will base the fine on how much money you make. if passed, the law would allow judges to reduce the amount people pay for traffic tickets based on their income. the bill's sponsor says it's not fair that everyone has to pay the same fine. the bill only applies to people who make 30- thousand dollars or less a year. it's unclear how much money the state could

( marty ) san francisco mayor ed lee has set aside money to fix potholes and repave city streets. lee says he has secured nearly 90- million dollars in funding. this will be part of the city's budget over the next two years. the rainy weather during the winter has caused a lot of damage to city streets. the budget also includes repairing public stairways, and underpasses. ( marty ) authorities are waiting until later this morning in the search for a boater who went missing in the pittsburg marina. these are some of the pictures contra costa fire has put on their twitter page.. at least one minor has been located. multiple agencies are assisting with the search. they had to give up the searech last night due to darklness. say 26-year-old richard rojas had said he wanted to quote "kill them all" and that police should have shot him to stop him. a toxicology report shows rojas had p-c-p in his system and they say he has a history of drunk driving. 18-year-old alyssa elsman was killed as she walked with her sister in times square. her family was visiting new york. her sister also went to the hospital. her father spoke out about the incident, saying he is still in disbelief . ( marty ) covering california. rescue crews tried to guide a humpback whale stuck in the ventura harbor back to the ocean. the whale is estimated to be about 35-feet-long. it was swimming in circles between docks saturday afternoon in southern california. the whale is not injured. rescuers were not able to get whale back into the ocean. crews plan on using a hydrophone that plays whale sounds underwater in hopes they can coax the whale back to the ocean ( marty ) still ahead. the giants and cardinals go into extra innings. we'll show you who made the heroic play to seal the deal for one of the teams. live look outside... richmond bridge for the weekned... it's the greek festival in oakland. come out and

( marty ) morgan hill police arrested a man they believe stabbed himself after attacking a woman, two children, and a baby with a knife. it happened just before five yesterday morning at an apartment complex on bisceglia avenue. an officer arrived at the apartments and found 26- year-old eduardo ramirez standing in the parking lot repeatedly stabbing himself in the neck with a pocket knife. the officer ordered him to drop the knife multiple times before using a taser. police went to the apartment and discovered a woman, two children under 14 years old and a baby suffering from stab wounds. all of the victims were taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries. home safe with his mother after police say he was kidnapped by his father. kron 4's averi harper has more on the emotional reunion. (averi @ landing) it was an emotional reunion for kah-dee-jah bangoura after her son, 21-month makai bangoura was safely reunited with her in san francisco. this after police found him with his father in los angeles. this all began when an amber alert was issued by police on friday. police say the father of the toddler, 30 year old jason lam was acting erractically before taking off with his son.. lam was arrested...accused of kidnapping his son. the mother of the toddler spoke through employees with the department of child services and she says she's happy her son is now back home safe. (averi) no word on if lam will face any charges.

( marty ) morgan hill police arrested a man they believe stabbed himself after attacking a woman, two children, and a baby with a knife. it happened just before five yesterday morning at an apartment complex on bisceglia avenue. an officer arrived at the apartments and found 26- year-old eduardo ramirez standing in the parking lot repeatedly stabbing himself in the neck with a pocket knife. the officer ordered him to drop the knife multiple times before using a taser. police went to the apartment and discovered a woman, two children under 14 years old and a baby suffering from stab wounds. all of the victims were taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries. ( marty ) the man accused of mowing down people in a crowd and killing an 18-year old in times square entered no plea in his first court appearance. prosecutors say 26-year-old richard rojas had said he wanted to quote "kill them all" and that police should have shot him to stop him. a toxicology report shows rojas had p-c-p in his system and they say he has a history of drunk driving. 18-year-old alyssa elsman was killed as she walked with her sister in times square. her family was visiting new york. her sister also went to the hospital. her father spoke out about the incident, saying he is still in disbelief . melania trump is not following local custom about women covering their heads in saudi arabia. two years ago, the president tweeted that first lady michelle obama's decision to go bare-headed on a january 20-15 visit was an insult to the saudis. the first lady follows other female leaders who did not cover their head while visiting the country. ( marty ) covering california. rescue crews tried to guide a humpback whale stuck in the ventura harbor back to the ocean. the whale is estimated to be about 35-feet-long. it was swimming in circles between docks saturday afternoon in southern california. the whale is not injured. rescuers were not able to get whale back into the ocean. crews plan on using a hydrophone that plays whale sounds underwater in hopes they can coax the whale back to the ocean ( marty ) still ahead. the giants and cardinals go into extra innings. we'll show you who made the

arrested a man they believe stabbed himself after attacking a woman, two children, and a baby with a knife. it happened just before five yesterday morning at an apartment complex on bisceglia avenue. an officer arrived at the apartments and found 26- year-old eduardo ramirez standing in the parking lot repeatedly stabbing himself in the neck with a pocket knife. the officer ordered him to drop the knife multiple times before using a taser. police went to the apartment and discovered a woman, two children under 14 years old and a baby suffering from stab wounds. all of the victims were taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries. ( marty ) another big story we're following this morning. a toddler is back home safe with his mother after police say he was kidnapped by his father.

(averi @ landing) it was an emotional reunion for kah-dee-jah bangoura after her son, 21-month makai bangoura was safely reunited with her in san francisco. this after police found him with his father in los angeles. this all began when an amber alert was issued by police on friday. police say the father of the toddler, 30 year old jason lam was acting erractically before taking off with his son.. lam was arrested...accused of kidnapping his son. the mother of the toddler spoke through employees with the department of child services and she says she's happy her son is now back home safe. happened yesterday. the aeromexico flight hit a utility truck after landing at l-a-x... firefighters say all eight victims were on the truck. but they are expected to be okay. none of the 146-people on the plane were injured. the collision left the truck overturned near a taxiway. there was no fire or spilled fuel. ( marty ) a yuba county sheriff's deputy delivers a baby when responding to what he thought was a screaming match between a couple. it happened wednesday in marysville. deputy arthur williams says neighbors in the area reported loud yelling coming from a home. and when he got to the house a woman opened the door holding her stomach. the deputy quickly realized the woman was in labor. he says he put on his gloves to help delliver the baby. and within a few minutes the baby was born. the woman and her new daughter were taken to a hospital after the delivery. they're both now at home healthy and doing well.
