friday at 2 a-m. 33-year-old matthew bate got into an turned physical outside the da vinci villa hotel on van ness avenue in russian hill. police said no weapons were involved in the deadly fight. bate worked as a chemist in australia. ( marty ) in the south bay... one person suffered life threatening injuries following a stabbing in san jose. san jose police tell kron 4 news the victim was found at the intersection of east st. john street and north fourth near san jose state just before 6 p-m. at this time police say no arrests have been made and they do not have any suspects. ( marty ) in the east bay... we now know the name of the man who died after a car hit him in richmond. the victim has been identified as 68-year-old maravilla ortega. the accident happened at cutting boulevard at south 16th street just before 10. police closed off the busy intersection for several hours to investigate. police

tell us the driver stayed at the accident scene and is cooperating with the investigation. and they say it is too early to say now if drugs or alcohol are involved. ( marty ) police arrested one person in connection with the murder of an australian tourist outside a san francisco hotel. it happened friday at 2 a-m. 33-year-old matthew bate got into an argument with two men that turned physical outside the da vinci villa hotel on van ness avenue in russian hill. police said no weapons were involved in the deadly fight. bate worked as a chemist in australia. ( marty in the south y. one person suffered life threatening injuries following a stabbing in san jose. san jose police tell kron 4 news the victim was found at the intersection of east st. john street and north fourth near san jose state just before 6 p-m. at this time police

say no arrests have been made and they do not have any suspects. ( marty ) in the east bay... we now know the name of the man who died after a car hit him in richmond. the victim has been identified as 68-year-old maravilla ortega. the accident happened at cutting boulevard at south 16th street just before 10. police closed off the busy intersection for several hours to investigate. police tell us the driver stayed at the accident scene and is cooperating with the investigation. and they say it is too early to say now if drugs or alcohol are involved. ( marty ) thousands gathered across the country to protest president trump in the "march for truth". others rallied in support of the president's decision on climate change. ashley corum (core-um) has more on the rallies. ( marty ) cal-water has cancelled the precautionary "do-not-water" advisory in south san francisco. meaning the water is safe to drink. follow-up test results are normal and confirm that the water quality was not impacted by the breach at the utily's cility early friday morning. advisory cancellation notices are currently being delivered door-to-door to affected customers' properties. cal water is now working with state water officials to fully investigate the breach. during the advisory cal water distributed nearly 94 thousand water bottles to over three thousand impacted customers in the area. ( marty ) in california news... construction continues at the oroville dam repairing the spillway that

crumbled earlier this year. joe khalil explains how officials are now testing a new warning system at the dam. one blast at a time--crews at the oroville dam continue to chip away at the damaged spillway--clearing the way for a new one. john france/dam engineer: "dwr needs to proceed with designing and implementing construction and repairs in the short term." john france leads the "forensics" team of engineers-- tasked with finding out exactly what went wrong with the oroville dam. though his team's work is far from done-- they've already given dwr 24 recommendations--to prepare the spillway for a temporary fix ahead of flood season in the fall. john france/dam engineer: "we believe in all likelihood we aren't going to find a single cause that caused this event. normally there are multiple causes."and as the effort continues-- emergency sirens were tested for the first time friday

person in connection with the murder of an australian tourist outside a san francisco hotel. it happened friday at 2 a-m. 33-year-old matthew bate got into an argument with two men that turned physical outside the da vinci villa hotel on van ness avenue in russian hill. police said no weapons were involved in the deadly fight.

bate worked as a chemist in australia. ( marty ) in the south bay... one person suffered life threatening injuries following a stabbing in san jose. san jose police tell kron 4 news the victim was found at the intersection of east st. john street and north fourth near san jose state just before 6 p-m. at this time police say no arrests have been made and they do not have any suspects. ( marty ) in the east bay... we now know the name of the man who died after a car hit him in richmond. the victim has been identified as 68-year-old maravilla ortega. the accident happened at cutting boulevard at south 16th street just before 10. police closed off the busy intersection for several hours to investigate. police tell us the driver stayed at the accident scene and is cooperating with the investigation. and they say it is too early to say now if drugs or alcohol are involved. ( marty ) a new report states 14 people in san francisco were poison after eating "death cap" mushrooms last december. most of the victims recovered. but
