alameda countys district attorney on who they believe is to blame for all of those lives lost back in december when the ghost ship warehouse erupted in flames killing 36 people, and injuring dozens. nancy o'malley, alameda co. district attorney. "derick almena and max harris. knowing created a fire threat, the inadequately prevented an escape, filled the area with human beings and now they are facing consequences of actions." o'malley says a special team examined six thousand reports, served 12 search warrants, interviewed 75 witnesses and reviewed 300 pieces of evidence. she says over the span of several years, the two - derick almena shown here - who leased the warehouse and max harris who was the creative director in charge of the space allowed the warehouse to be illegally transformed. 29:25 o'malley.

today in lake county harris in la, they will eventually be brought here in to alameda for an arraginment, both are facing 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter. in a statement released - almena's attorney says their investigation has revealed that almenda did not commit any criminal neglgience and that he is a held out as a scapegoat (vicki) it's been just over six months since that deadly warehouse fire took the lives of 36 people. many of the victims were young adults just starting out. kron4's maureen kelly got reaction to the criminal charges from the mother of one of the victims who died, who is speaking publicly for the first time since the loss

(rob live) after deliberating for about 16 hours over the course of several days, the jury rejected the prosecutions argument that antolin garcia torres deserves the death penalty. instead, in a unanimous decision, they sent the killer of sierra lamar to prison for life without the possibility of parole. jeff rosen/district attorney "today the jury decided the fate of a child murderer.... outside the courthouse after antolin garcia torres had just avoided the death penalty, district attorney jeff rosen telling reporters that the less said about garcia torres the betterjeff rosen" the jury made it so he will die in prison and never take another breath as a free man..."garcia torres had no obvious reaction to the verdict. the decision was unanimous. the jury rejected the prosecutions call to show him no mercy because he showed none to sierra lamar. in closing arguments,

( catherine ) tonight we now know the name of the suspect in the death of an australian tourist in san francisco... the tourist... identified as 33- year-old matthew bate... was killed during a fight outside a hotel on van ness avenue. police arrested the suspect inside a nearby hotel. he's 34-year-old david murillo of hesperia -- that's in southern california. murillo is in jail and is expected to be charged with murder. months after the deadly ghost ship fire in oakland... two men are under arrest and facing charges in the case.( steve ) we begin our coverage with kron 4's terisa estacio with who the suspects are and what they are accused of doing that has landed them in trouble with the law. (estacio reporting) nancy o'malley, alameda countys district attorney on who they believe is to blame for all of those lives lost back in december when the ghost ship warehouse erupted in flames killing 36 people, and injuring dozens. nancy o'malley, alameda co. district attorney. "derick almena and max harris. knowing created a fire threat, the inadequately prevented an escape, filled the area with human beings and now they are facing consequences of actions." o'malley says a special team examined six thousand reports, served 12 search warrants, interviewed 75 witnesses and reviewed 300 pieces of evidence. she says over the span of several years, the two - derick almena shown here - who leased the warehouse and max harris who was the creative director in charge of the space allowed the warehouse to be illegally

(catherine) london police have released photos and names of two suspects insaturday's attack in london.... a 27-year-old man name khuram butt...a british citizen born in pakistan.and a 30-year-old named rachid redouane....who had claimed both moroccan and libyan nationality. they're two of the three suspects in the knife and van attack on and around london bridge -- that left 7 people dead. investigators are still trying to determine the identity of a third suspect.

cashier fell victim to an unusual petty theft.(steve) thanks to security video and social media... police were able to track down the crook.
