( james ) ( james ) breaking news from overnight... a man stabbed to death in the east bay and the attacker is still on the loose. it happened last night on west 19th street in antioch.(ááátriggerááá) when police arrived on scene they found a man stabbed in the torso. he died of his injuries. police have not released the victim's name or what may have motivated the attack.

36 year old sayyadina thomas is behind bars right now after police say she put methamphetamine in a 2 year old boys mouth on monday in this park. tuesday we talked with a man who knows thomas. sot she was probably on something okayofficers say it happened in berkeley's people's park. specifically near the swings and the slide. a location where a number of homeless people live and a location where there has been trouble in the past.sot it's not that you expect it from the people who live at the park but it's like scary stuff happens at the park which is concerning for people who live around here.you never want to walk alone.officers say the boy was with his nanny who immediately mouth after meth was put nothing. police say admitted to putting ne in his mouth and the hospital was in fact meth.sot i don't know who would do that to a child obviously he had no idea what that was yeah know and even if he did he's a child 2 year's oldnot even a child he's like a baby.it's that that happened right across the street from where i live.

thomas is in custody and being evaluated by doctors. her aquiantance didn't have about the whole ordeal.sot she's on speed manit doesn't matter what you tell em it's like a waste of time.sot she hasn't hurt anyone i guess except for what she did to that kid i guess.to hear that she put meth in a 2 year old's mouth is that concerning to youyeah that's bad..i wouldn't give it to anyone it's like poison. happening now... police are looking for a santa rosa teen who has gone missing.

17-year-old gabriella rosas arreguin went looking for a job on monday. she just graduated from high school on friday. she has not been seen or heard from since. she is 5 foot 5 inches tall, about 120 lbs. it"s believed gabriella went to the downtown library to use the computer then the santa rosa plaza mall to drop off job applications. ( james ) police say they tracked down the parents accused of abandoning their child near the san francisco zoo. the mother has turned herself in. the incident happened monday night. paramedics in the area witnessed two adults leaving a child near the intersection of the great highway and sloat boulevard. the two adults then drove away. the child was found unhurt. the child and another infant are now in the custody of child protective services ( james ) menlo park police have released a photo of the pastor who is accused of sexual assault. 47-year-old victor tax-gomez led services at the el senor

justicia nuestra church for at least four years. police say several children and adult victims claimed he sexually abused them at the church. one member says she left the church because of what he did to her. another member says she had seen tax-gomez innappropriately hug and kiss children too close to the lips. he's now facing six counts of sexual assault charges. "the victim got an uber ride from oakland to moraga, and basically the driver stopped short of the destination."standup"it was here, somewhere along camino ricardo where the victim says the driver stopped the car, got out, and then came into the back seat with her. she says he sexually assaulted her."somehow, she was able to stop her attacker.police say the driver actually got back into the driver's seat, and drove the last mile or so to her destination."i think she was pretty much in shock and

( james ) another big story we are following this morning... the legal team representing the man who was in charge of the warehouse...the master tennant...has announced a press conference on friday. derick almena's attorneys are expected to talk about the charges he's facing and their defense strategy. and on thursday almena's expected to be arragned in alameda county superior court. the former master tenant of the ghost ship warehouse was booked into the santa rita jail overnight after getting arrested and making a brief court appearance in lake county monday. but there are two people facing charges here. almena and max harris have both been charged with 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter. harris was arresetd monday in los angeles. he's expected to be sent to the bay area. harris was the so-called creative director of the warehouse who apparently organized the party the night of the fire that killed 36 people. if convicted, each faces up to 39

years in prison. ( james ) contra costa county animal services are at odds as they face overcrowding at both of their animal shelters. both the martinez and pinole locations are offering promotions in hopes that more people will come forward to adopt. officials say as of now there are more than 500-animals housed between both shelters. about 35-animals on average are dropped off per day. and the problems is growing. officials say the shelters

tend to see an uptick in the summer due to lost and surrendered anims. but there are ways to help. ( james ) of course there is the option to adopt. . . currently adoption fees at the martinez location have been reduced. adoptions at the pinole location are free until the 18th. ( james @ landing ) as hundreds of students graduate from college... a hayward woman's path to a diploma is especially inspiring. brenda brown says at one point she was living in her car while attending classes. now this weekend she'll be wearing a cap and gown. kron 4's charles clifford spoke with her about the challenges of making it to graduation and what she's hoping for in the future.

soti got laid off from a job i had for over 8 years.back in 2009, brenda brown, like so many other people lost her job during the great recession.sot i was unable to find gainful employment. it was a job looking for a job.for years she struggled in vain to find a new job and make ends meet. in 2010, her unemployment ran out.soti was pretty much living on god's grace and mercy for a year before i decided i'm going back to school. brenda enrolled here at cal state east bay in the communications department. financial aid paid for school, but left little money for anything else. up against the bay area's red hot rental market, brendan says she had to move from rented room to rented room. at one point she was reduced toliving out of her car. for months she paed on campus at night and took showers at a gym.soti told myself it's not going to last that long. i've worked to hard up until that point when i was in my car not to. at

that point i could either sink of swim.but brenda kept at it. attending classes and doing whatever work she could find. this coming weekend, she will graduate, with a degree in communications. she still doesn't have a job lined up or a permanent home but she's looking forward to the future. soti'm excited to see what doors a degree will open for me.she also hopes her story can be an inspiration to anyone else who might be struggling to make ends meet. sot i would definitely recommend it. it's never to late to give up. finally ,brenda says she plans to attend grad school in the fall and that her dream gig would be working for the 49ers. in hayward, charles clifford kron 4 news. ( james ) a florida woman is under fire for allowing a snake to bite her one-year-old daughter then posting the incident on her facebook page. and now that mom is defending her action. in the video, the one-year-old reaches into the plastic box, then the snake strikes. she says the baby was not hurt, only scared of the

snake's movement. some people on social media are calling this mom a reckless parent. highlands county sheriff's office is investigating what happened. ( mark ) breaking overnight... at least 12 people have been killed and more than 40 people wounded in two terrorist attacks at an iran parliament building and a shrine in tehran. attackers armed with rifles stormed the parliament building and one of the attackers blew himself up inside where a session was in progress. this is new video from just outside of the parliament building after the attack. another group of attackers, including a second suicide bomber, struck the shrine. the islamic state group has claimed responsibility for the attack. ( darya ) a wan is behind bars this morning after police say shfed a child meth at a park in the east bay. ( mark ) anny hong is here with the details. anny. ( anny ) 36-year-old sayyadina thomas is facing attempted murder charges this morning. the incident happened monday afternoon at

the people's park in berkeley. police say the 2-year-old boy was with his nanny on the playground when the woman walked up to him and put methamphetamine inside his mouth. his nanny was not sure what the substance was, but thomas admitted it was meth.. and the nanny immediately called 9-1-1. kron four spoke with a man who knows thomas. ( anny ) the boy was being treated at the hospital, but is expected to be okay. thomas is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. back to you. ( darya ) it's been nearly a month since a massive brawl at a wedding in fremont. and this morning one of the victim's remains in the hospital. the bride says she doesn't think police are doing enough to make arrests. she went to the city council meeting last night to ask for help. nearly six

dozen people were seen fighting outside of the royal palace banquet hall last month. a 23-year-old man is the only person who has been arrested and charged. the family says there should be even more arrests.

abused them at the church. one member says she left the church because of what he did to her. another member says she had seen tax-gomez inappropriately hug and kiss children. he's now facing six counts of sexual assault charges. ( mark ) the man accused of killing an australian tourist outside a san francisco hotel pleaded ánotá guilty to the charges. 34-year-old david murillo from san bernardino county is charged with involuntary manslaughter, assault and battery. the incident happened outside the di vinci hotel on van ness avenue early friday morning. morillo was in the city installing drapes at the hotel. police say australian tourist matthew bate and murillo got into an argument that turned physical. police believe alcohol was likely involved. murillo will be back in court on friday. ( darya ) happening tomorrow... one of the two men charged in the deadly ghost ship warehouse fire will make his first court appearance. derick almena is expected to be arraigned in alameda county. he was the man in charge

of the warehouse when it went up in flames last december. almena's attorneys also announced that they will be holding a news conference on friday to talk about the charges. almena and max harris have both been charged with 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter. harris was arresetd monday in los angeles. he's expected to be sent back to the bay area. harris was the man who apparently organized the party the night of the fire that killed 36 people. if convicted, each faces up to 39 years in prison. ( darya ) former san francisco 49ers cornerback tramaine brock is charged with domestic violence. he was arraigned in a san jose courtroom yesterday. police say brock punched his girlfriend in the face and tried to strangle her in early april. officers say at the time of the attack, she was holding their 1 year old child. brock's girlfriend told police the violence started after an argument about what to watch on t-v. brock has also been charged

with misdemeanor child endangerment. ( mark ) happening tonight... the n-b-a finals shifts to cleveland for game 3. ( darya ) the warriors are trying to stay undefeated in the playoffs and tonight fans will be able to watch the game on the big screen at oracle arena.( mark ) kron 4's averi harper is outside the arena this morning with the details. ( darya ) there is a new way that passangers can track crime happening at bart stations. bart is now uploading information on arrests and other crimes onto is new "crime mapping system." people select an area or point of interest, and pin drops appear showing the locations, dates and times of where crimes have happened. police say increasing public access to bart crime data is an important part of the transit agency's new

transparency initiative. passangers we spoke to say they will use the new system and avoid areas that are unsafe:

attorney general jeff sessions offered to resign his position due to conflict with president trump. that's according to a new report from c-n-n. sources say sessions and president trump have had a series of heated exchanges since sessions recused himself from the russia probe in march. in one of those exchanges, sessions apparently said he would quit if trump wanted him out. when asked about the report... white house press secretary sean spicer refused to say if the president still has confidence in sessions. ( darya ) the parent's of the accused national security leaker are defending her actions this morning. the justice department has announced charges against reality leigh winner. they say the 25-year-old federal contractor printed a classified national security memo then sent it to an onle media outlet. the memo served as the basis for an article that details a russian cyberattack on an american voting software supplier in 20- 16. prosecutors say winner admitted to the leak but her parents are speaking out in her defense. arrested over the weekend. intelligence officials say no election votes were effected because of the russian cyber attack. ( mark ) an east bay woman will graduate college after spending years living without a home. brenda brown lost her job in 2009. she struggled to find a new job and in 20-10, her unemployement money ran out. that's when she enrolled into the communications department at cal state east bay. financial aid helped pay for school, but she was left without money for much else. at one point, she was forced to live in her car, sleep in the school parking lot and then shower in the school gym.

( darya ) and police think there could be other victims who have yet to come forward. kron 4's will tran is live outside the moraga police department with the details. will. ( will ) police arrested leonid baker for the attack that happened last month. the woman...who was originally picked up in oakland says she was almost home when the driver suddenly pulled over... got into the back seat and assaulted her. the woman reported it immediately and

police were able to use the woman's description as well as surveillance video and traffic cameras to identify the car. they were then able to connect the car to baker. an oakland mother has entered a no contest plea. 30-year-old chyemil pierce was shot to death in march of 2015. prosecutors say she was an innocent bystander who got caught in the middle of gun battle between two groups. 32-year-old jerry harbin agreed to plead no contest to a manslaughter charge. a jury had been deliberating his fate. three men who stood trial along with harbin were convicted last week. at least two other suspects in the case are expected to go to trial later this year. ( mark ) a woman is charged with animal cruelty after her dog died from being left in a car. a french bulldog was left in its owner's hot car as she shopped the vacaville outletafternoon. owner claims she parked the car in a shaded area and left the windows partially opened. ( mark ) police have tracked down the parents who abandoned their child near the san francisco zoo. the mother turned herself in overnight to police. on monday night, paramedics in the area saw two adults leaving a 5-year-old girl near

the intersection of the great highway and sloat boulevard. the two adults then drove away. the child was thankfully found unharmed. the child and another infant are now in the custody of child protective services. ( darya ) the contra costa county coroner's office is asking for the public's help in two death cases. on april 28th. . . david norman wise was found dead of natural causes at the antioch train station. the coroner's office is searching for anyone who man have known him. the second case involves an unidentified man... who appears to have walked into the path of an oncoming amtrak train. the coroner's office is looking for somebody who can identify the man. ( mark ) google could soon be expanding to san jose and it is expected to create thousands of new jobs for the south bay. google wants to build a 6 million foot research and development center in san jose. it has its sights set on a space near diridon station. the company says that area is ideal because it is a hub for caltrain, amtrak and v-t-a.

mayor sam liccardo says city council will decide later this month whether it will gotiate with google. county animal services are struggling with overcrowding at both of their animal shelters. both the martinez and pinole locations are offering promotions in hopes that more people will come forward to adopt. officials say there are more than 500-animals housed

between both shelters. about 35-animals on average are dropped off per day. and the problems is growing. officials say that the shelters tend to see an uptick in the summer due to lost animals. ( mark ) there is also the option to adopt. currently adoption fees at the martinez location have been reduced. adoptions at the pinole location are free until the 18th. ( darya ) a san diego middle school is recalling its year-books after thn-word was accidentally printed on the cover. black mountain middle school staff and editors decided to put a historic map on the cover. that map was from the 1800's and showed northern san diego county. they didn't notice

that the map referenced where a freed slave lived by using the n-word. ( darya ) the eighth graders were the only class who got the year-books. teachers discovered the cover before they could be passed out to the entire school. ( darya ) we are entering the summer travel season which means people are starting to book their flights. ( darya ) breaking news from overnight... a man stabbed to death in the east bay and the attacker is still on the loose. it happened last night on west 19th street in antioch.(ááátriggerááá) when police arrived on scene they found a man stabbed in the torso. he died of his injuries. police have not released the victim's name or what may have motivated the attack. ( darya ) a woman is behind bars this morning after police say she fed a child meth at a park in the east bay. 36-year-old sayyadina thomas is facing attempted murder charges. the incident happened monday afternoon at the people's park in berkeley. pice y the 2-year-old bowas with his nanny on the playgrou when the woman walked up to him and put methamphetamine inside of his mouth. his nanny was not sure what the substance was, but thomas admitted it was meth.. and the nanny immediately called 9-1-1. kron four spoke with a man who knows thomas. ( darya ) the boy was being treated at the hospital, but is expected to be okay. thomas is undergoing a psychiatric

evaluation. ( darya ) it's been nearly a month since a massive brawl at a wedding in fremont. and this morning one of the victim's remains in the hospital. the bride says she doesn't think police are doing enough to make arrests. here is video from that brawl last month.... nearly six dozen people were seen fighting outside of the royal palace banquet hall a 23-year-old man is the only person who has been arrested and charged. the bride and her family went to a city council meeting last night saying there should be even more arrests. ( darya ) nearly 700 people were at the wedding reception when the fight broke out. one man is still in a coma with a brain injury. police say they are still actively

investigating the fight and if more arrests are possible. ( mark ) menlo park police have released a photo of the pastor who is accud sexual assault. 47-year-old victor tax-gomez led services at the el senor justicia nuestra church for at least four years. police say several children and adult victims claimed he sexually abused them at the church. one member says she left the church because of what he did to her. another member says she had seen tax-gomez inappropriately hug and kiss children. he's now facing six counts of sexual assault charges. ( mark ) the man accused of killing an australian tourist outside a san francisco hotel pleaded ánotá guilty to the charges. 34-year-old david murillo from san bernardino county is charged with involuntary manslaughter, assault and battery. the incident happened outside the di vinci hotel on van ness avenue early friday morning. morillo was in the city installing drapes at the hotel. police say australian tourist matthew bate and murillo got into an argument that turned physical. police believe

alcohol was likely involved. murillo will be back in court on friday. ( darya ) happening tomorrow... one of the two men charged in the deadly ghost ship warehouse fire will make his first court appearance. derick almena is expected to be arraigned in alameda county. he was the man in charge of the warehouse when it went up in flames last december. almena's attorneys also announced that they will be holding a news conference on friday to talk about the charges. almena and max harris have both been charged with 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter. harris was arresetd monday in los angeles. he's expected to be sent back to the bay area. harris was the man who apparently organized the party the night of the fire that killed 36 people. if convicted, each faces up to 39 years in prison. ( darya ) former san francisco 49ers cornerback tramaine brock is charged with domestic violence. he was arraigned in asajose police say brock punched his girlfriend in the face and

tried to strangle her in early april. officers say at the time of the attack, she was holding their 1 year old child. brock's girlfriend told police the violence started after an argument about what to watch on t-v. brock has also been charged with misdemeanor child endangerment. ( mark ) breaking news just in to the kron4 newsroom. president trump has announced who he will nominate as the new f-b-i director.( darya ) anny hong is at the breaking news desk with more on the president's decision. ( anny ) the president tweeted this morning saying.... "i will be nominating christopher wray, a man of impeccable credentials, to be the new director of the fbi..." wray is a former assistant attorney general who managed the criminal division under president george w. bush... overseeing major investigations including the enron scandal. for the past twelve years, he has been in private practice working in litigation as a partner at the king & spalding law firm in washington and atlanta. before that, he spent nearly a decade in the justice department, focusing on

corporate fraud in addition to trade sanctions and money laundering. wray represented new jersey governor chris christie during the investigation into the george washington bridge lane- closing scandal. this comes just one day before former f-b-i director james comey will testify before congress on his dealings with president trump who fired him. back to you.. at 8:00 this morning and last until 5:00 this evening. the fires will be burning both today and tomorrow. firefighters are trying to prepare for the upcoming fire season. firefighters say the smoke will be coming from santa teresa county park on bernal road. ( mark ) 11 students at middle school in santa ana were hospitalized after sharing prescription anti-anxiety pills pills. some of the students were as young as 11-years-old. school officials say someone brought xanax pills to school and shared it with other students. officials say they became alarmed after several students went to the nurse's office over the course of three hours during the school day. the school says it will provide some drug prevention training to the students. ( mark ) a fan of controversial speaker milo yiannopoulos has filed a lawsuit against the university of california, the mayor of berkeley and other city officials. here is video from back in february when yiannopoulos was scheduled to speak. the school cancelled the event after protests turned violent. the lawsuit accuses the university of california and other officals of violating their rights and subjecting them to bodily harm because they were expressing a

different viewpoint. u-c berkeley released a statement saying it looks forward to contesting these false claims. ( darya ) dish network is fined 280-million dollars for calling people who say they didn't want to be bothered by telemarketers. a judge found that dish caused millions of violations of the "do not call laws." telemarketers are barred from calling people who have joined federal or state do-not-call registries or who have asked companies to leave them alone. california will receive over 53-million dollars of the award. dish network says it will appeal the ruling. ( mark ) uber has fired more than 20 employees amid reports of sexual harassment. a person with knowledge of the investigation said 115 out of 215 harassment claims required action. it's not clear what specific actions prompted the firings or who was let go. a law firm began looking into uber after a former engineer accused the company of sexism. results of that probe were presented

to uber's board last week. the recommendations are expected to be shared with the public next week. they were filling up their cars. a snake was found inside one of the gas pumps. one man then wrapped his shirt around his hands and used the nozzle to move the snake around and grab it by the head. after getting the snake out...the man released it into the woods. experts say more snakes have been coming out lately in georgia because of the warmer weather.

( anny @ land ) yue chen is a stage four cancer patient. the 58-year-old was reported missing by his family in visalia. police say they found a mask, two hand guns, a notebook with directions to his doctor's homes and a letter. the letter reportedly said he was intent on killing his doctors for treating him like an animal. c-h-p stopped chen's rentar on highway 101 in san jose. they were able to develop the information that he had this grudge against these doctors. but we have no doubt in her mind based on the evidence that was collected that he was intent on coming here and killing one or more of that at the doctors that are treating him.>( anny @ land ) chen has been arragined on three counts of attempted murder. he's expected to enter a plea later this month. ( mark ) happening today... the woman accusing bill cosby of rape will be back on the witness stand. this is the third day of the trial. andrea constand

testified yesterday that the comedian drugged and raped her in 2004. the former employee of temple university said she visited the comedian at his home one night to discuss her career plans... when he gave her three blue pills and then raped her. the defense argues that constand called cosby 72 times after the night in question--and also spoke to lawyers before calling police. cosby faces three counts of aggravated assault. he has denied any wrong doing. ( darya ) a woman is charged with animal cruelty after her dog died from being left in a car. a french bulldog was left in its owner's hot car as she shopped at the vacaville outlets yesterday afternoon. the owner claims she parked the car in a shaded area and left the windows partially opened. a reminder under new california law, if you see a dog in distress in a

( darya ) the contra costa county coroner's office is asking for the public's help in two death cases. on april 28th. . . david norman wise was found dead of natural causes at the antioch train station. the coroner's office is searching for anyone who man have known him. the second case involves an unidentified man... who appears to have walked into the path of an oncoming amtrak train. police released these images of clothing the man was wearing when he was found. the coroner's office is looking for somebody who can identify the man. ( mark ) a man accused of posing as a massage therapist and sexually assaulting women says he has done nothing wrong. jose garcia

plascencia was arrested in april in east palo alto. police say he was running a massage parlor out of his garage. prosecutors say fifteen women have come forward to report abuse in cases dating back to 2011. lawyers for plncia say the cusations are exaggerated and he has plnot eaded guilty to all of the charges. the suspect remains out of jail on 450-thousand dollars bail on the condition that he will not engage in any massage- related business. ( mark ) one of seven men accused in the killing of an oakland mother has entered a no contest plea. 30-year-old chyemil pierce was shot to death in march of 2015. prosecutors say she was an innocent bystander who got caught in the middle of gun battle between two groups. 32-year-old jerry harbin agreed to plead no contest to a manslaughter charge. a jury had been deliberating his fate. three men who stood trial along with harbin were convicted last week. at least two other suspects in the case are expected to go to trial later this year. ( darya ) a man jumps onto the hood of a woman's car and kicks in her windshield.

this happened in atlanta. this is video that was captured on her dashcam. the victim says she was pulling out a shopping plaza after putting gas into her car... and that's when the man randomly jumped on her car and stomped on the windshield. she's filed a police report and posted the video online in hopes of finding the man who did this. ( darya ) google could soon be expanding to san jose and it is expected to create thousands of new jobs for the south bay. google wants to build a 6 million foot research and development center in san jose. it has its sights set on a space near diridon station. the company says that area is ideal because it is a hub for caltrain, amtrak a v-t-a. mar sam liccardo says city council will decide later this month whether it will negotiate with google. mayor liccardo says the google property could bring in bewteen 15 and 20-thousand new jobs to san jose. ( mark ) the powerball jackpot drawing is tonight and it's a big one. the winniing ticket for the drawing will pay out a 375 millon dollar jackpot. the
