walked into court with his wife camille today..he's accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at his philadelphia home in 2004. the jury began deliberations - and a conviction could put cosby in prison for the rest of his life. defense attorneys argued cosby's accuser - andrea constand - was having a consensual relationship with cosby. prosecutors say she was left helpless by pills and assaulted against her will. dozens of women have come forward to say cosby had drugged and assaulted them. this is the only case to result in criminal charges. (grant) preliminary hearings began today for 18 penn state students charged in connection with a fraternity hazing death. 19-year-old, tim piazza died in february, two days after he fell down a flight of stairs - twice - during a pledge party at the beta theta pi fraternity. nearly twelve hours passed before anyone called paramedics. prosecutors showed surveillance video of

the party in the courtroom today. the video shows piazza in agony... after suffering severe stomach and head injuries from the fall. he had been taking part in a hazing ritual that involved extreme binge drinking. the fraternity members are being charged with involuntary manslaughter, aggravated assault, hazing, providing alcohol to minors and tampering with evidence. about a three-month leave of absence for the c-e-o... kalanick is the one who built the start-up into a nearly 70-billion-dollar company. ( grant ) there are some theories that a wildfire can be a good thing for nature... clearing out old trees and shrubs and allowing for new growth to come in. but when it comes to our atmosphere... it is a much different story. researchers with nasa and georgia tech have made a rather alarming discovery.

wildfires put out a lot more brown carbon particles than previously thought. those particles rise high into the atmosphere and can interfere with the sun's rays. this could cause air to cool down or warm up... changing our climate. but scientists have not been able to pindown the exact effect of brown particles... other than to suggest the smoke from wildfires could have a lingering impact on our planet. at this point, they need to do more research to determine the effect... and if anything can be done to stop it. so just one more thing to think about when we see wildfires... not only can they do damage on the ground... but high up in the air as well... potentially altering our climate. catherine. the trump administration's travel ban suffers a defeat. today the ninth circuit court of appeals rejected president trump's revised executive order. the judges said mister trump "exceeded the scope of the authority delegated to him by congress." and that the ban violated the constitution... because it disfavored muslims. the high court is considering the department of justice's request to approve the ban. it's also considering to hear a case on the issue. katyal says the case focuses on religion and would have a harmful effect on muslims.
