(robin) warriors pride riding high all over the bay area. this after about one million members of dub nation showed up to cheer on the world champion golden state warriors. it was a huge victory celebration right in the heart of downtown oakland. we brought it all to you live yesterday morning right here on kron 4. whether you were you there -- or missed it -- here are some of the must- see highlgihts.

(robin) and during the rally the warriors team owners said they are picking up the bill for yesterday's celebration. so how much was the tab for the party? we reached out to the city oakland and they told us the event cost about a million dollars. (robin) and we also just got the arrest numbers from the event. police say with the one million people attending the celebration

there were ánoá major incidents at the parade or the rally. there were three arrests however. two for public intoxication and one for assault on an officer. there were 105 medical calls. mostly for heat- related issues.. and eleven children ended up separated from their parnets. all are reunited. (robin) as far as how people got to the parade. lots of people opted to take bart to it. and that is exactly what organizers wanted. as of 9:00 last night the transit agency had counted 487-thousand riders. just under the amount of riders for the 2015 victory celebration. this is video from the 12th street station. things got so crowded there after the rally police had to close the entrance gates to control the crowd. (robin) warriors forward draymond green stole the show. he did so while trolling lebron james and the cleveland

(robin) republicans and democrats faced off in the annual congressional baseball game. just one day after an attack on the republican team during a practice where steve scalise and three others were shot and wounded at a g-o-p team practice. last nights game was about more than just the box score. the focus was a message of unity. perhaps the highlight of the night came when capitol police officer david bailey, who helped stop the attack, threw out the first pitch the democrats ended up taking the game 11 to 2. they gave the trophy to the republicans to put in scalise's hospital room. (hermela aregawi)it's been four years since aya nakano was brutally murdered.june 12, 2013 - just before 11 oclock at night - the emeryville resident was on his way home after playing basketball on the cal campus.police say his car was rear ended near market and stanford avenue in oakland. then the unthinkable.when nakano got out of his car, the other driver and passenger shot and killed the twenty year old.just an hour before his birthday.maria climaco/victim's mother: it was just so surreal. it was already past midnight and it was his birthday and to hear.. even to this day you know i vaccilate between reality and wishful thinking the fbi in conjunction with oakland police are investigating the murderand have offered up to

(robin) and a safety recall to tell you about this morning.... automaker fiat chrysler is recalling roughly 300-thousand of it's dodge grand caravans. the recall is for models between the years of 20-11 and 20-12. a mechanical malfunction within the steering wheel can cause the driver-side airbags to unintentionally go off. so far more than a dozen incidents have been reported,

causing some minor injuries. owners of the affected vehicles will not have to pay for repair work. (robin) the food and drug administration approved a new competitor to go up against the epi-pen . symjepi (sim- jepp-ee) is another version of the epi-pen. that is the emergency drug formula and delivery system which keeps people from suffering life- threatening allergic reactions. it is a syringe pre- filled with the hormone epinephrine. (ea-pi-ne-frin) the price of the brand named epi-pen jumped in cost to more than 6-hundred dollars for two- packs. pharmaceutical representatives say the alternative version will be less expensive. the new syringe's will be available later this year. (robin) now to baseball... where the giants and rockies opened up a four game series at coors field. this game was a rough one. at one point the giants were down 9-1 after matt moore allowed eight runs in three innings then in the seventh buster posey hits a 2- run jack to make it 9-3.

a jury has found 54-year-old lee bell guilty of murdering his girlfriend pearla louis. louis' body was found in a suitcase that washed up along san francisco's embarcadero in may of 20-10. and now louis's daughter is empowering women in abusive relationships. kron 4's ella sogomonian has the details. aysha louis has been immeresed in domestic violence advocacy since her mom pearla louis was brutally killed in 2010.sot: aysha louis, pearla's daughter//it's just been the worst most horrible situation that any family can go through. seven years later her mother's boyfriend 54-year-old lee bell was found guilty of first degree murder by a jury on thursday.sot: aysha louis, pearla's daughter// it gave us a sense of peace that he can

(robin @ landing) juror's deciding the fate of comedian bill cosby end their fourth day of deliberation. a verdict is no where near in sight. cosby faces three counts of aggravated indecent assault. with a deliberations ongoing scott mclean has the latest. after almost 40 hours of deliberations, multiple jury

questions, and still no verdict in the bill cosby trial.gloria allred/attorney: "this is not a vindication of anybody. this is not the end." the jury told the judge they were deadlocked... unable to find unanimous consensus on any of the three charges against the famous actor and comedian.cosby's publicist thinks it's a positive sign for the defense team. andrew wyatt/bill cosby's publicist: "we believe that he's innocent. we believe that he's not guilty. and i think the jurors have shown that too." cosby is accused of drugging and assaulting andrea constand back in 2004.both cosby and constand were inside the courtroom when the deadlock was announced -- neither showed any visible emotion.but outside the courthouse -- there was plenty -- two of the more than 50 women who have accused bill cosby got into a verbal spat with cosby supporters.victoria valentino also accused cosby of sexually assaulting her in 1969 -- she says a guilty verdict would give her validation -- but lengthy deliberations are making her nervous.victoria valentino/accuser: "there is obviously something that is

(robin) dramatic video captured a california woman being dragged by a car along a busy freeway during an apparent conflict. a witness took this video of a woman hanging off of a car door in rush hour traffic on the 55 freeway. they say the woman hopped out of the white car then ran and grabbed on to the passenger side of the black car. eventually the woman gave up and walked away without being seriously injured. when police got to the scene both cars were gone. police are still looking into what happened. (robin) a pilot had to be airlifted to a hospital after crashing near the u-s open golf tournament. this shocking video shows the blimp falling out of the sky near

golfers in wisconsin. the crash was a half mile away from the course, and the pilot suffered serious burns and injuries. no one else was inside the blimp with the pilot, and no other injuries were reported. the cause of the crash remains unknown. (robin) grace baptist church in oakland held one of its twice -monthly programs. they are known as "acts of grace"... the church partners with alameda county community food bank to bring food to hundreds of families.. one in five residents in the county gets help from the alameda county community food bank. visitors went home with bags of food and got to choose from a huge variety. from chicken and hot dogs to vegetables and waffles.. most of the food comes from the grocery rescue program which takes unsold still fresh food from the shelves and donates it to food banks. ( mark ) a man has been found guilty of murdering his girlfriend seven years after her body was found along san francisco's embarcadero. a jury found 54-year-old lee bell guilty of killing pearla louis. louis's body was found inside a suitcase on the embarcadero near folsom street in may 20-10. bell's d-n-a was found on that suitcase. louis was last seen arguing with bell at a hotel where the two were staying. louis' daughter says she wants her mom to be remembered as a strong woman who tried to leave an abusive relationship,

grabbed onto the passenger side of the black car. eventually the woman gave up and walked away without being seriously ( darya ) happening now... a search is underway for a man swept away by the merced river. 36 year old jose castaneda went missing on wedensday. search crews say castaneda and his pregnant wife were swimming at the river in merced county with their 3 year old daughter...whe n the young girl was quickly pulled away by the current. her parents rushed to get the girl, but they were swept away as well. both the 3 year old and her expecting mother were saved... but castaneda never resurfaced. several weeks ago, the merced county sheriff's office announced the river would be closed this year because the water was too dangerous. ( darya ) a pilot of a blimp is recovering in a hospital after crashing near the u-s open golf tournament. this video shows the blimp falling out of the sky near golfers in wisconsin. the

( darya ) today... the jury in the bill cosby rape trial will begin their fifth day of deliberations after signaling that they are deadlocked. the jury has been deliberating since monday and yesterday the judge ordered jurors to continue deliberating. the jury told the judge they were unable to find unanimous consensus on any of the three charges against cosby. cosby is accused of drugging and raping andrea constand in 2004. cosby's publicist says this deadlock is a good sign for the defense team. ( mark ) the american college student released from prison in north korea is back with his family...after being detained for more than 17 months. but doctors say that he is in a vegetative state and has suffered serious brain damage.. otto

warmbier landed in cincinnati tuesday night. doctors say he has not spoken or moved on his own since he arrived back in the u-s. otto's parents say they learned of his condition just last week even though north korean officials say that he had been in a coma for at least a year. he was sentenced to 15 years hard labor in 20-16 for committing "hostile acts" against the north korean regime. ( mark ) a rare moment of bipartisanship in the nation's capitol. republicans and democrats faced off in the annual congressional baseball game, just one day after an attack on the republican team during practice. capitol police officer, david bailey, who helped end the attack threw out the first pitch. on wednesday morning, a gunman shot four people at the republican practice field including the majority whip steve scalise. the gunman was killed by police. during the game last night, leaders from both parties called for less heated rhetoric.

volunteering at food banks around the bay area.( darya ) this week we have been highlighting the work done by by some of these food banks. and this morning kron 4's will tran is live at the food bank of contra costa and solano. good morning will. ( will )fresh produce is something californians enjoy as almost a given but for many in our communities it is a difficult choice when they try to feed their families. that's why hundreds of people rely on the contra costa solano food bank's trucks that provide this important nutritional help. the food bank's two refreigerated trucks make stops throughout the two counties every day distributing more than a million pounds of fresh produce every month. while the trucks were part of a grant the produce and the upkeep now depend on the community. hundreds of those living on meager incomes depend on this source of fresh produce they might not otherwise have in their diets.

raped by an uber driver is suing the company for a second time. she claims that uber executives got her private medical records and made false statements that she fabricated the attack in 20-14. the driver was convicted of rape and sentenced to life in prison. it is another incident in a long string of problems for the ride-sharing company. uber's c-e-o travis kalanick took a leave of absence earlier this week after an investigation found a dysfunctional culture that allowed sexual harassment. ( darya ) three teenagers police cadets stole patrol cars before leading authorities on a chase that ended with crashes. take a look at some of the damage of the cars. police say two boys and a girl, ages 15, 16 and 17 stole the cars. they used a sergeant's name to sign out stun guns, radios and drive the cars right out of the stationhouse parking lot. police are investigating whether the teens impersonated

officers and pulled over drivers. the three were arrested after two pursuits ended with crashes. the third car was found near the station. ( mark ) breaking business news. amazon has just announced that it is buying whole foods market in a deal that is valued at more than 13 billion dollars. amazon says it will pay 42 dollars a share for the comnpany. whole foods has been under pressure recently to sell itself. investors have criticized the company for its poor performance, and have suggested the chain could be merged with another grocer. recently amazon has been pushing to expand its online grocery business. the deal is expected to close in the second half of this year. ( darya ) four years after an east bay man was murdered, his mother is pleading for the public's help in finding her son's killers. aya (eye-yah) nakano was 22-years old when he was shot and killed in oakland. he was on his way home after playing basketball on the cal campus when his car was rear ended. when he got out of his car the other driver and passenger shot and killed him. the murder happened an hour before his birthday.

the oakland police department to investigate the murder. 125-thousand dollars is being offered for information that leads to the arrest. aya's mother says she is still police will make an arrest murder. ( mark ) a man has been found guilty of murdering his girlfriend seven years after her body was found along san francisco's embarcadero. a jury found 54-year-old lee bell guilty of killing pearla louis. louis's body was found inside a suitcase on the embarcadero near folsom street in may 20-10. bell's d-n-a was found on that suitcase. louis was last seen arguing with bell at a hotel where the two were staying. louis' daughter says she wants her mom to be remembered as a strong woman who tried to leave an abusive relationship, but it was too late. she has some advice for women in similar situations: ( mark ) the san francisco

district attorneys office says women should reach out to local groups like the domestic violence consortium if they are ever in a similar situation. ( darya ) a three-year-old girl in stockton has died after undergoing dental surgery. a dentist recommended for three-year-old daleyza (duh-lay-sah) hernandez to have the surgery. she was supposed to have two teeth removed and two teeth capped. the little girl was taken away from the dental office in an ambulance after she went into surgery. a nurse told her parents that her heart had stopped durning the proceedure.

( mark ) the city of san jose now has an arson team investigating a series of suspicious fires. they are happening along interstate 280 and in the coyote meadows area between the freeway and senter road. firefighters have been called to that area several times recently. they suspect the fires have been set either accidentally or on purpose by the homeless. park rangers have reported new camps and campers popping up in the area. ( mark ) people are encouraged to report anything suspicious ans use the city's arson tip line. ( darya ) popular tourist destination muir woods will be getting a makeover to help accommodate parking needs. the national park service says they will redesign parking areas and the visitor entry plaza. officials say the park receives about a million visitor's every year and parking can be a problem.

construction is supposed to start in 20-19 and will be completed within a year. ( darya ) state lawmakers sent a 125-billion dollar budget that boosts money for education and social services to governor jerry brown's desk. the legislatures voted yesterday to pass the one-year spending plan. democrats say the budget will help people living in poverty. republicans say it fails to adequately prepare for a recession. the plan also imposes new financial restrictions and enrollment targets on the university of california following an audit that questioned administrators' use of money. ( mark ) happening today... president trump will announce major changes to the u-s relationship with cuba. the president is expected to roll back the obama policy that re-established relations between the country after more than 50 years of isolation. the new policy is expected to restrict travel between the two countries and have new restrictions on american companies trying to do business in cuba. the president plans to announce the new policy during a speech in miami later today.

( mark ) president trump's son-in-law and closest advisor jared kushner is now being investigated by special investigator robert mueller. mueller is looking into kushner's business dealings with russia. this is according to a report by the washington post. mueller was originally appointed to investigate possible ties between russia and the president's campaign team. earlier this week... the washington post reported that mueller is also investigating president trump for possible obstruction of justice. ( mark ) vice president mike pence has hired a private lawyer to represent him in robert mueller's russian investigation. pence's office confirmed that former virginia attorney general will represent the vice president. a representative for the vice president says that pence will ánot be using tax payer dollars to pay for his attorney. here's a quick look at the top stories we're following this morning... we are now learning more about the gunman who opened fire at a u-p-s facility in san francisco. it happened on wednesday morning when a u-p-s employee shot and killed three co-workers before killing himself. the shooter has been identified as 38-year-old jimmy lam. a u-p-s union official says lam filed a request back in march to reduce his overtime hours.( darya ) and.. the man charged with the deadly ghost ship warehouse fire will be back in court. derick alemna is expected to enter a plea later this morning in oakland. almena is facing 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the fire that broke out last december. almena was the man in charge of the warehouse.( mark ) also... the leader of isis may have been killed in an airstrike. the russian military claims that it killed

( mark ) drones could soon help save people's lives when having heart emergencies. researchers in sweeden tested using small drones to carry heart defibrillators to homes where people had cariac arrests. the drones arrived about five minutes after lauching, that is almost 17-minutes faster than ambulances. the next step is to test the idea on real patients. cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death worldwide, killing more than six million people each year. ( darya ) dramatic video captures a california woman being dragged by a car along a busy freeway. a witness took this video of a woman hanging off of a car door in rush hour traffic in santa ana. they say the woman hopped
