plant. the fire started around 4:30 this morning... on goodyear road about five miles northeast of the valero refinery. crews believe the fire started somewhere in the piles of wood at the plant - and it quickly spread to some nearby grass. it then became dangerously close to highway 680... causing a traffic backup for morning commuters. crews remain on scene and are looking for any flare ups. no injuries have been reported and no structures damaged. after finding three people dead including two children. santa rosa police were called to a home on slater street near college avenue around 10 this morning... for a dispute between a husband and wife - regarding a child custody violation. when officers arrived at the home - they found the two children, a 6-year-old girl and an 18 month-old boy, dead. the cause of death of the two children is still undetermined. the father was found hanging in a bedroom nearby. police determined this case to be a murder/suicide... and there is no threat to the public. this incident remains under investigation. (vicki) the three men arrested in suspicion of beating a lyft driver last march pleaded not guilty to any felony charges... all three suspects remain in custody they were arrested after vandalizing the driver's car -- allegedly beating him up and running over his leg with a dirt bike in a sideshow near highway 101. the lyft driver's had to get surgery on his injured leg c-h-p is still searching for the fourth suspect, quintrell anderson.

later this month -- all three suspects will be in court for preliminary hearing (steve) new details on a case involving a former santa cruz brain surgeon shows he has been molesting children for years.(steve) doctor james kohut, pleaded not guilty last week to ten felony charges of molesting two boys and a girl under the age of 14. the santa cruz district attorney's office says kohut also attempted to impregnate women. a judge is determining a bail amount for kohut, but the district attorney's office is arguing against bail. kohut is scheduled to be back in court on june 28. (vicki) the ups employees that were killed last week... were remembered today duringa prayers service outside the san francisco facility. in the meantime questions being raised today about security at the facility. kron 4 's dan kerman joins us live at the san francisco ups facility with more. dan?

(pam) police have not released his name, but british media have identified him as 47=year=old darren osborne. the father of four is being held on suspicion of murder and terrorism.he is accused of plowing into a crowd of muslims... after late night services at a london mosque. natit happened just after midnight on monday morning in the largely muslim neighborhood of finsley park in north londoni see a white van. i see people screaming, shouting, extremely devastated. "a big van crushing the people in the mosque."i was shocked. we were screaming. the van stopped and angry members of the crowd tried to attack the driver.he was a big muscley guy. he was really shouting and aggressive. he was spitting on us"he was shouting 'i did my bit' and 'you deserve it' and stuff like

had run onto shore. police say the owner of the, 52-year-old rosali vasquez, failed a sobriety test and was booked into jail on suspicion of boating under the influence. one person was hurt during the crash and taken to the hospital. the cause of the crash remains under investigation. a key road damaged in a rockslide at yosemite national park has reopened ahead of schedule. el portal road reopened saturdaygiving tourist a clear route to yosemite. park rangers say more than 100 dump trucks hauled off giant rocks and debris after a four ton rockslide came crashing down last monday. crews believed it would take until yesterday... to complete the clean-upbut ended up finishing in time for fathers day. the walls of a catholic church in sacramento are being investigated as a hate crime. (vicki) five swastikas along with other graffiti were painted over three walls last week at the st. francis of assisi parish and school. police since then have had the walls painted over. police are taking the act seriously and investigating this as a hate crime. now community members associated with the parish are speaking out over this catastrophe.

that a couple of seniors at an east bay high school are accused of drawing swastika's at the school - along with other graffiti. the students claim it was all apart of a senior prank. it happened last sunday - at irvington high school in fremont. when school officials arrived on monday... they discovered a large swastika and other graffiti scrawled on the pavement. oil and flour was dumped in the hallways. pipes and other debris was tossed into the pool along with profanity spray painted on the walls. the entire senior class had to clean up the mess... and a handful of seniors are being held accountable for the damage. (vicki) a northern california woman is in jail...accused in a bizarre attack on her own 11-year-old daughter. police say this woman kimberly felder attempted to perform an exorcism on her daughter. it happened at centerville beach near eureka - friday morning. police say kimberly felder stripped her daughter naked and started beating, biting and choking her at the secluded beach. felder told people she was trying to remove demons from the girl. the 45-year-old mother was arrested for child

some would say having dental surgery without novocain can be more pleasant than flying on a major airline. (vicki) in fact, the number of complaints about airline service skyrocketed back in april. that's according to recently released data from the department of transportation.(steve) but the airlines are still flying high in the stock market. from our partners at cnn mary moloney explains. for fliers -- it's been an

(pam) vicki.... as we have been reporting on air and online all afternoon... a four- alarm grass fire is burning on a hill behind campolindo high school in moraga. the fire started 2 o'clock... and has burned about 10 -acres. some nearby homes are threatened .. but firefighters have slowed the spread of the fire... and right now. it 's about ten percent contained. a shelter- in- place was issued for the residents of the homes nearby.... but no evacuations are underway. we will have the latest in a live report tonight at six. vicki now back to you. (vicki) yes, the raiders will be leaving oakland in the next couple of seasons to relocate to las vegas...(steve) but it seems not everyone is too happy with the team moving to the entertainment capital the "raiders are coming" sign has been stolen. on sunday the clark county commission chairman tweeted these pictures of where the welcoming sign should be. he says "the sign may be missing, but don't worry the raiders are still coming" there are no leads as to who took it (vicki) we are following some breaking news... a fire is raging right now in the san bernardino national forest northeast of big bear lake. the "holcomb fire" has burned about 200 acres so far. no homes are threatened... but some camp grounds have been evacuated. more than a dozen calfire airplanes are being used to fight the blaze. (steve) a new study out tonight is shedding light on gun violence in the u-s. from 2012 to 2014 - on average nearly 13-hundred kids die each year from a gun-related injury. that's according to a study published in the journal pediatrics today... they found that more than half were homicides and 38-percent were suicides. about three percent were from saccidentally shooting themsleves.. the district of columbia and louisiana had the highest rates of child gun deaths. researchers also found delaware, hawaii, maine and new hampshire -- had 20 or fewer deaths.
