(will) our top story this morning.. a mother whose two young kids were killed in a car crash in the east bay is demanding justice this morning. the crash happened last friday night on highway four in concord when the family of four was leaving a movie. 35-year-old lemuel wilson junior is now facing two counts of murder, and driving under the influence. two boys, ages 5 and 10, were killed in the crash. a three-month old remains in critical condition this morning. police say wilson has at least two prior d-u-i's, and was released from

jail just one day before the crash for charges related to terror threats in pleasanton. the mother of the boys spoke to kron four about making sure there is justice for her children. (will) wilson is being held on two million dollars bail. a go fund me page has been set up to help the family. (will) police have identified the gunman who shot and killed a gas station clerk during a robbery attempt. it happened monday night. the shooter is 42-year-old zepp crouchet. police found his body early tuesday morning inside a car that was parked about a mile and a half away from where the shooting

happened. they also found the gun he used in the attack . the victim is 57-year-old mohammad ataie. a clerk at the valero gas station. on the night of the robbery an off-duty officer saw what was going on and confronted the suspect. shooting him in the torso. the family of the gas station clerk has set up a gofundme page to raise money for funeral expenses. (will) another big story we are following this morning... another teen mob robbery on bart. it happened last friday at the coliseum station in oakland just before 6:30 at night. a woman says her phone was snatched by a group of 10 to 13 teens. but a good samaritan stepped in and chased the teens down as they got off the train and recovered the phone and returned it to the victim. the man was punched and kicked during in the process. officers responded and detained all the teens involved. as of right now the investigation is ongoing and they are reviewing the surveillance videos. we are following this morning... dozens of ups employees still too distraught to return to work after last month's deadly shooting. the attack happened in san francsico and left three of their coworkers dead. kron4's aleca reid spoke with the union representing those employees about what's being done to help them cope. it's been 3 weeks since tragedy struck at this u-p-s center.and the victims colleagues continue to grieve .pkgof the 45 u-p-s deliverymen that normally report to work at the protrero hill center, only a handful have been back to work since last month's tragedy.we'd say no more than 15 have reported to work since june 14thpolice say jimmy lam walked into the morning meeting that fateful wednesday and killed 3 of his colleagues before turning the gun on himself. those visions still haunt their coworkers. joseph cilia / teamsters local 2875some people were right next to the victims, some were right next to the shooter,

some were in the vicinity secretary-treasurer for teamsters local 2785 joe cilia says these men are terrified. and before they return to work they need to be ready because once they show up they're expected to perform at 100%.a lot of your customers are wishing you well and reminding you every day so you want to have your head straight when you're behind a packaged carfor now they're working on their mental health. we've facilitated through the insurance that they can seek help and then at that point you don't know how long. it could be soon, these things are on a case by casewhile those employees are out, packages still need to be delivered. help has been coming in from san bruno and all over.north bay sent drivers, san jose sunnyvale sent drivers. i know they've had supervisors come from as far as minnesota to come help fill the voidfor those that are back, people in the neighborhood can tell they're still in mourning.i try to keep them smiling you know. i know it's a horrible time

right now but i try to make them feel a little bit better. standupfamily, friends, and coworkers will be holding a memorial for the victims this sunday, july 9th at 2'0clock in the rotunda at city hall. there's also a charity set up for the victims' families.you can find all that info on our website, kron 4 dot com reporting live in san francisco. (will) happening now... police are searching for the gunman who shot and killed a woman in a home near san jose state university. the victim has now been identified as 20-year-old myla dang from monterey county. police were called to a home on south 10th street monday. they found dang who'd been shot. she later died at the scene. investigators think the victim and gunman may have known each other. no suspect description has been released.

(will) police have arrested a (will) seven teens arrested at the alameda county fair and there's a chance they won't be allowed to come back. officials estimate that 40-thousand people were at the fair tuesday night to see the fireworks but early in the evening there were problems. kron 4's j.r. stone is following the story and talked with those who saw it all go

down. a fun fourth of july at the alameda county fair quickly turned into a frightning and unforgetting experience for a mother and her daughter.sot the fight just literally broke out right in front of us so i didn't know how to react so i just grabbed her and ran because i didn't know if they had a knife or gun.around 5:30 at night on july 4th a fight broke out in this carnival area at the alameda county fair. 7 juveniles were arrested. all facing fighting charges, one charged with resisting arrest, another charged with hitting an officer.sot i'm kinda still upset about what happened last night especially seeing her cry for around an hour. it bothered me a lot.those running the fair say they will continue to keep guests safety a top priority but have made no promises to implementing any new safety measures. fair fights haven't been limited to the east bay. we first showed you this video from the sonoma- marin fair in petaluma a week

and a half ago. multiple teenage females going at it. this is another fight video shot at that same north bay fair last month. sylvia says next year she's not chancing anything on fourth of july.sot obviously it's not safe to go anywhere anymore so probably just better off staying home. sot it kinda made me think twice about anywhere in large crowds to go like that again. (j.r.) back in the late 90's officials cancelled the july 4th fireworks here because of the problems. eventually metal detectors and additional security measures were brought in and the fireworks brought back. as of right now no talk of getting rid of those fireworks. (will) police have arrested a woman they say shot a man in a costco parking lot. it

happened in san jose outside the costco on almaden expressway the man is expected to survive. the woman was arrested at the scene. police are not releasing any details on a possible motive for shooting. fleeing the residence the father said his son had a gun inside the house....">(will) deputies sealed off the neighborhood, and ordered people in the area to shelter in place. the swat team eventually convinced the man to surrender. he was unarmed when he was arrested. police have not yet identifed the suspect. (will) a nerve-wracking situation in a novato neighborhood. a hazmat team had to come out to fernando drive. someone walking a dog smelled a strong smell coming from a car crews determined hydrochloric acid had spilled. they neutralized it and then removed it the homeowners told the crew they are doing some construction and cleaning up. hydrochloric acid can be used to clean countertops and concrete. (will) a big scare for passengers at sfo. terminal one had to be evacuated due to reports of a suspicious package. it happened around 11:45 yesterday morning and the

entire terminal was evacuated for about an hour. the san francisco bomb squad was called in and determined that there was no threat. police say the suspicious package may have been a forgotten carry-on bag. independence day. a point of frustration for the vallejo fire department, says kevin brown... who like his fellow fire fighters, was spread throughout town wednesday night putting out 13 fires caused by illegal fireworks.kevin brown/vallejo fire dept.- "hazards don't just end with possible injuries, they can catch neighboring fields on fire, and in some occasions, like we saw last year, uh, they can cause home fires and damage people's property." fortunately, there was no significant property damage reported due to illegal holiday fireworks. there were also no reported injuries. still, the fire department says it responded to more than triple the amound of illegal fireworks related calls this year, compared independence day last year. tiffany taylor-thompson lives next to where the field burned and is just grateful the fire wasn't even worse.tiffany taylor-thompson/neighbor- "not really surprised, just because we heard them a few days ago and we know that if you're doing them before the 4th of july, seems like they're gonna be illegal." and, ignoring the law can result in a hefty fine and possibly jail time.

then spinning like a top nose down before coming to a stop. 3 people were killed in the july 6 2013 crash and now this newly released video has made it's way to youtube the 47 minute video taken from an airport tower camera shows the crash off in the distance, you can see the white smoke at the 34 second mark, the plane comes to a rest and you see black smoke pouring out of the airliner.but it's not for another 90 seconds, that the emergency exit evacuation slides are deployed, with the first passengers coming down at the 2:17 minute mark.the first responder arrives on scene just before the 3 minute mark and hoses start pouring water on the flames within the next minute.the last of the passengers appear to come off of the plane before the 5 minute mark, that's when additional firetrucks begin arriving .shortly after the 6 minute mark you see what could

( mark ) another teen mob robbery on bart... this is the second one since bart installed its new surveillance cameras. it happened last friday at the coliseum station in oakland... just before 6:30 at night. a woman says her phone was taken by a group of at least 10 teenagers. but a good samaritan chased the teens down and recovered the phone for the woman. the man was punched and kicked during in the process...

officers responded and detained all the teens involved... investigators say they area reviewing the surveillance videos... but are ánotá releasing it to the public. ( mark ) happening now... police are still searching for the gunman who shot and killed a woman in a home near san jose state university. that woman has now been identified as 20-year-old myla dang from monterey county. police were called to a home on south 10th street monday. they found dang suffering from a gunshot wound. she died before she could be taken to the hospital. investigators think the victim and gunman may have known each other. police have not released a description of the shooter. ( james ) police have arrested a woman they say shot a man in a costco parking lot. it happened in san jose... outside the costco on almaden expressway. the man is expected to survive. the woman was arrested. police are investigating the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting. ( james ) the woman accused of killing three people in oakland last november has pleaded not guilty to the charges. dana rivers is being held

without bail in the santa rita jail. rivers is known for her involvement in a highly publicized transgender rights battle back in 19-99. she went through a sex change... and was fired from her sacramento area high school teaching job. she is accused of killing one man and two women at a home last november. she has been charged with three counts of murder and is due back in court in august. ( mark ) 11 people are recovering this morning after a chain reaction crash on the golden gate bridge. three vehicles were involved in this crash yesterday afternoon. one of those vehicles was a graton casino bus carrying 49 people. a s-u-v was approaching the toll plaza when it suddenly stopped and was rear-ended by a dump truck. the bus then rear-ended the two other vehicles. c-h-p is warning drivers on the golden gate bridge to pay extra close attention to the road, especially this time of year.

people especially on a beautiful day like today who are looking elsewhere on the bridge and not necessarily on the road in front of them.>( mark ) eight people on the bus and three people in the other car were taken to the hospital. they are all expected to be okay. ( james ) the republican congressman who was shot during a baseball practice last month is back in the intensive care unit this morning. representative steve scalise is listed in serious condition this morning. according to a statement from his office, the intensive care is due to a possible infection. four people, including scalise, were shot and two others were injured. the gunman was shot and killed by police. ( james ) happening now president trump is in poland on his way to the g-20 summit in germany. earlier this morning president trump met with the polish president. the two leaders held a meeting. one of the topics discussed was the relationship

between poland and russia. and during a news conference this morning... president trump talked about russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election: ( james ) after his stop in poland... president trump will head to germany where he is scheduled to meet with russian president vladimir putin. ( mark ) seven teenagers are arrested at the alameda county fair after a massive brawl.( james ) and now some people are saying they won't be visiting the fair again. kron 4's j.r. stone has the details. a fun fourth of july at the alameda county fair quickly turned into a frightning and unforgetting experience for a mother and her daughter.sot the fight just literally broke out right in front of us so i didn't know how to react so i just grabbed her and ran because i didn't know if they had a knife or gun.around 5:30 at night on july 4th a fight broke out in this carnival area at the alameda county fair. 7 juveniles were arrested. all facing fighting charges, one charged with resisting arrest, another charged with hitting an officer.sot i'm kinda still upset about what happened last

night especially seeing her cry for around an hour. it bothered me a lot.those running the fair say they will continue to keep guests safety a top priority but have made no promises to implementing any new safety measures. fair fights haven't been limited to the east bay. we first showed you this video from the sonoma- marin fair in petaluma a week and a half ago. multiple teenage females going at it. this is another fight video shot at that same north bay fair last month. sylvia says next year she's not chancing anything on fourth of july.sot obviously it's not safe to go anywhere anymore so probably just better off staying home. sot it kinda made me think twice about anywhere in large crowds to go like that again. (j.r.) back in the late 90's officials cancelled the july 4th fireworks here because of

the problems. eventually metal detectors and additional security measures were brought in and the fireworks brought back. as of right now no talk of getting rid of those fireworks. ( james ) a home in the east bay is vandalized and now police are searching for the people who did it. rick hirsch walked out of his home in the rockridge district of oakland yesterday morning and found that he and his family were subjected to anti semitic graffiti. the word "jew" was scrawled on his trash can. he says he is concerned about the effect this has on the neighborhood children as well as his own kids.

( mark ) a couple at the center of a high-profile kidnapping case can go forward with their lawsuit against the vallejo police department. denise huskins and aaron quinn claim they were defamed when vallejo police called huskins' kidnapping a hoax. huskins went missing back in march of 2015. quinn also says that police accused him of murdering huskins while she was beng held by the kidnapper. quinn detailed the ordeal to investigators. he gave them a blood sample and access to his email accounts. four months later. . .the f-b-i announced that they arrested the kidnapper matthew muller. attorneys for the city were asking the judge to dismiss the defamation claim but the judge ruled that the lawsuit can move forward. ( james ) police in los angeles are looking for a woman after her kidnapping was caught on camera. in this surveillance video you can see the victim talking to a man. as the woman tries to walk away, the man opens the door to his van and attacks her.

he grabs the woman by her hair and throws her into the van. there is also another person in the passenger seat. that person throws something out of the window. police do not know the name of the woman who was kidnapped. officesr say that the video makes it look like they may know each other but police want to find her and make sure she is okay. ( yoli )novato police officers responded to the novato unified school district bus yard, located on olive ave, regarding a theft that had just occurred. when a school district custodian arrived at the yard, he noticed two subjects syphoning gasoline from the underground storage

tanks that are used to fill school buses and other school district's vehicles. the suspects fled the scene before officers arrived, but the custodian was able to take the pictured photographs with his cell phone. the equipment that was used to syphon the gasoline suggests that the suspect vehicle was equipped with a large storage container or containers, which could be capable of holding hundreds of gallons of gasoline.

( mark ) an 18-year- old man is suffering a major injury to his hand and lost some fingers while using illegal fireworks in the city of newark. it happened tuesday night on port sailwood drive...during a neighborhood fourth of july party. police say it happened when he was lighting a highly explosive firework. ( mark ) even though safe and sane fireworks are actually legal in newark... police respond to more than 100 fireworks- related calls. they confiscated three-barrels full of illegal fireworks. ( james ) the vallejo fire

department also had its hands full responding to reports of illegal fireworks. a grassy field off admiral callaghan lane at turner parkway caught fire. a quarter acre of land burned as a result of illegal fireworks. on the fourth of july -- the city received more than 130 illegal fireworks related calls. that's more than triple the number of calls last year. the fire department says illegal fireworks caused 13 fires.

father and after fleeing the residence the father said his son had a gun inside the house....">( mark ) deputies sealed off the neighborhood and ordered people in the area to shelter in place. the swat team eventually convinced the man to surrender. he was unarmed when he was arrested. ( mark ) one of the men charged with the murder of an east bay mother will be spending 13 years in prison. jerry harbin is one of seven people charged in the 2015 shooting death of chyemil pierce. police say pierce was a innocent bystander who was caught in the middle of gun battle between two groups. harbin pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter. at least two other suspects in the case are expected to go to trial later this year. ( james ) four years ago today... an asiana airliner crash-landed at s-f- o... killing three people.( mark ) and now we are seeing new video of the crash. kron4's dan kerman shows

us the video that was just released. few can forget this image of asiana flight 214 slamming into the seawall at sfo and then spinning like a top nose down before coming to a stop. 3 people were killed in the july 6 2013 crash and now this newly released video has made it's way to youtube the 47 minute video taken from an airport tower camera shows the crash off in the distance, you can see the white smoke at the 34 second mark, the plane comes to a rest and you see black smoke pouring out of the airliner.but it's not for another 90 seconds, that the emergency exit evacuation slides are deployed, with the first passengers coming down at the 2:17 minute mark.the first responder arrives on scene just before the 3 minute mark and hoses start pouring water on the flames within the next minute.the last of the passengers appear to come off of the plane before the 5 minute mark, that's when additional firetrucks begin

arriving .shortly after the 6 minute mark you see what could be emergency responders going back up the slide and into the plane.the national transportation safety board ruled the crash was due to pilot error, flying too low and too slow and relying too heavily on automation.sotthis is as shocking as the first time we saw itcapt. laura einsetler is a commercial airline pilot for a major u.s. carrier. while the f.a.a. says it "did not adopt any new regs for us carriers as a result of the crash." einsetler says major u.s. carriers are taking steps themselves to learn from asianas mistakes.sot capt. laura einsetler/commercial airline pilot 148-158sot

( james ) an east bay fire district says it is in a crisis. the east contra costa fire protection district says they serve more than 100- thousand people with only three fire stations. nine stations are recommended for that many people. the district's fire chief says hiring firefighters is not a problem. it's retaining them that's a challenge. the chief says no job security and low pay has kept firefighters away. the salary in the district is 30 percent less than neighboring districts. this is not the first time the district has had problems. back in may -- station 94 in knightsen was slated shut down for third

time. it closed this past saturday. airline spokesman says because gate agents inaccurately scanned the two-year-old's boarding pass -- their system showed him as not checked in... so his seat was released to another passenger. united refunded her son's ticket and also gave her a travel voucher. officially open in the sierra. but the new season comes with a warning. the placer county sheriff's office posted this picture - announcing that the truckee river is open to visitors. they also want people to remember that the river is running fast and the water is very cold. people are reminded to wear floatation devices. the river had been closed to rafting because of all the runoff from the melting snow. ( mark ) and in the central valley, at least eight people have died in the kern river since march. the snowmelt means that the kern river is icy cold and raging. it's a popular spot for white water rafting because of its rapids. the kern county sheriff's office says a rescue team has already logged more than 3- thousand hours this year. ( james ) a morgan hill gym owner and personal trainer will spend seven years in state prison. david wolfsmith pleaded guilty to 14 charges of sexual assault involving 13 victims. two of them were minors. all of the assaults were committed while wolfsmith worked at wolfpak gym. once released from prison he will be

required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. ( james ) a coffee roaster is being blamed for starting a house fire in mountain view. the fire spread from the garage all the way to the second floor of the home on mountain laurel court... within a matter of minutes. the fire did extensive damage to the home. a person living in the house says the fire began with a coffee roasting machine that was in the garage. no one was injured. ( mark ) a six month old puppy is rescued after being zipped inside a suitcase and thrown into the delta. the puppy was found last week by boaters near highway 4. the dog was taken to stockton animal services and is now being cared for by another rescue group. the boaters who found the pit bull mix say she was badly injured. the dog has now been named juno and is recovering at a foster home. investigators are still looking for the person responsible. ( james ) big name celebrities continue to speak out against cyber bullying.( mark ) just recently singer ed sheeran announced that he will no longer look at his twitter account. he says it is because of the constant mean tweets. kron 4's gabe slate has more on the backlash against social media.. pro golfer rory mcllroy just revealed that he's taking an extended break from sites like twitter and instagram after a heated exhange with a former pga champion steve elkington he told reporters he had his wife change his twitter password and promise not to give it to him. have all left twitter completely while others, like miley cyrus, and adele, have taken extended breaks ..saturday night live actress leslie jones, famously quit twitter last summer after being trolled with sexist and racist comments after her ghostbusters movie was released she later rejoined twitter.. but. when it was

( lydia )aida reyes just lost her two sons and has a baby in the hospital but yesterday she spoke with reporters about the accident and the charges against the suspect.lemuel sirvonn wilson jr., 35, faces two counts of murder, driving under the influence, and hit- and-run.on june 30th, police say at around 10:55 p.m., wilson drove off the off-ramp, slamming into the left rear of the dodge with a family of aida reyes inside. 5-year-old vincent reyes-rothenberg and 10-year-old lorenzo reyes were ejected from the dodge durango and died at the scene.a 3-month-old restrained in a car seat suffered major injuries and was taken to children's hospital oakland. the children's 35-year-old mother suffered major injuries. yesterday, she was out of the hospital and told reporters the suspect should never been driving.

( mark ) police have identified the gunman who shot and killed a gas station clerk during a robbery attempt in antioch. the crime happened monday night. the shooter is 42-year-old zepp

crouchet. police found his body early tuesday morning. they also found the gun he used in the attack. the victim is 57-year-old mohammad ataie -- a clerk at the valero gas station. on the night of the robbery -- an off-duty officer saw what was going on and confronted the thief. that officer shot him in the torso before he ran away. ( mark ) another teen mob robbery on bart... this is the second one since bart installed its new surveillance cameras. it happened last friday at the coliseum station in oakland... just before 6:30 at night. a woman says her phone was taken by a group of at least 10 teenagers. but a good samaritan chased the teens down and recovered the phone for the woman. the man was punched and kicked during in the process... officers responded and detained all the teens involved... investigators say they area reviewing the surveillance videos... but are ánotá releasing it to the public. ( james ) only five of nearly 40 san francisco u-p-s workers have returned to work after a shooting rampage at

one of their facilities three weeks ago. a u-p-s worker shot and killed three of his colleagues before turning the gun on himself on june 14th. labor union officials say many of the workers at the u-p-s proterero hill center are terrified to return. union leaders say right now the focus is on the employees mental health. ( james ) u-p-s drivers from all over the bay area have been sent to the facility to help out. family, friends and co-workers are holding a memorial for the victims this sunday at the rotunda at city hall. there is also a charity set up for the victims' families. you can find all the information on our website at kron four dot com. killed a woman in a home near san jose state university. that woman has now been identified as 20-year-old myla dang from monterey county. police were called to a home on south 10th street monday. they found dang suffering from a gunshot wound. she died before she could be taken to the hospital. investigators think the victim and gunman may have known each other. police have not released a description of the shooter. ( mark ) police have arrested a woman they say shot a man in a costco parking lot. it happened in san jose... outside the costco on almaden expressway. the man is expected to survive. the woman was arrested. police are investigating the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting. ( james ) the woman accused of killing three people in oakland last november has pleaded not guilty to the charges. dana rivers is being held without bail in the santa rita jail. rivers is known for her involvement in a highly publicized transgender rights battle back in 19-99. she went through a sex change... and was fired from her sacramento area high school teaching job. she is accused of killing one man and two women at a home last

november. she has been charged with three counts of murder and is due back in court in august. ( james ) the republican congressman who was shot during a baseball practice last month is back in the intensive care unit this morning. representative steve scalise is listed in serious condition this morning. according to a statement from his office, the intensive care is due to a possible infection. four people, including scalise, were shot and two others were injured. the gunman was shot and killed by police. ( mark ) happening now president trump is in poland on his way to the g-20 summit in germany. earlier this morning president trump met with the polish president. the two leaders held a meeting. one of the topics discussed was the relationship between poland and russia. and during a news conference this morning... president trump talked about russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election:

police about a block away. police say the shooter had a violent history and vented his anger about police in a facebook video last september. familia was a 12-year police veteran a single mother of three. ( mark ) 11 people are recovering this morning after a chain reaction crash on the golden gate bridge. three vehicles were involved in this crash yesterday afternoon. one of those vehicles was a graton casino bus carrying 49 people. a s-u-v was approaching the toll plaza when it suddenly stopped and was rear-ended by a dump truck. the bus then rear-ended the two other vehicles. c-h-p is warning drivers on the golden gate bridge to pay extra close attention to the road, especially this time of year. mark ) eight people on the bus and three people in the other car were taken to the hospital. they are all expected to be okay. police are looking for a man who attacked a car with a golf club after a road rage incident in hercules. it started between two cars near the corner of refugio valley road and coronado avenue. the attacker then followed the other car down refugio road, through the creekside center and onto san pablo avenue. that's where the driver pulled in front of the victim's car, forcing it to stop. he then got out of his car carrying a golf club and began breaking the victim's car windows. he then drove off. no one was hurt. ( james ) a home in the east bay is vandalized and now police are searching for the people who did it. rick hirsch walked out of his home in the rockridge district of oakland yesterday morning and found that he and his family were subjected to anti semitic graffiti. the word "jew" was scrawled on his trash can. he says he is concerned about the effect this has on the neighborhood children as well as his own kids.

( mark ) california's attorney general is supporting a proposal that would allow telephone companies to block robocalls made from spoofed numbers. those are calls that show a number that has a non-existent area code or has never been assigned to a particular subscriber. the federal communications commission says there were over two-billion robocalls áper monthá in 20-16. many people were victims of calls where the caller pretends to work for the i-r-s and claim back taxes are owed. 29 other states have also backed the proposal. ( mark ) international travel to the u-s is on the rise. tourism grew by more than five percent in may compared to last year. that is according to a new report by the "travel trends

index." the strong showing contradicted fears that tourism from abroad would slow in reaction to u-s policies including president trump's new travel ban. the report also showed more people are traveling domestically. despite the strong spring numbers, the report does project an overall slowdown for the rest of the year. ( james ) a couple at the center of a high-profile kidnapping case can go forward with their lawsuit against the vallejo police department. denise huskins and aaron quinn claim they were defamed when vallejo police called huskins' kidnapping a hoax. huskins went missing back in march of 2015. quinn also says that police accused him of murdering huskins while she was beng held by the kidnapper. quinn detailed the ordeal to investigators. he gave them a blood sample and access to his email accounts. four months later. . .the f-b-i announced that they arrested the kidnapper matthew muller. attorneys for the city were asking the judge to dismiss the defamation claim but the judge ruled that the lawsuit can move forward.

( mark ) seven teenagers were arrested after a massive brawl at the alameda county fair. the brawl broke out on july fourth around 5:30. all the teens are facing charges. one is charged with resisting arrest and another is charged with hitting an officer. one mother who witnessed the brawl said the incident is making her think twice about going anywhere with large crowds like that. ( mark ) fair officials say they will continue to keep guest safety a top priority but have made no promises to implementing any new safety measures.

( yoli )novato police officers responded to the novato unified school district bus yard, located on olive ave, regarding a theft that had just occurred. when a school district custodian arrived at the yard, he noticed two subjects syphoning gasoline from the underground storage tanks that are used to fill school buses and other school district's vehicles. the suspects fled the scene before officers arrived, but the custodian was able to take the pictured photographs with his cell phone. the equipment that was used to syphon the gasoline suggests that the suspect vehicle was equipped with a large storage container or containers, which could be capable of holding hundreds of gallons of gasoline.

check back with you through out ( james ) an 18-year- old man is suffering a major injury to his hand and lost some fingers while using illegal fireworks in the city of newark. it happened tuesday night on port sailwood drive...during a neighborhood fourth of july party. police say it happened when he was lighting a highly explosive firework. though safe and sane fireworks are actually legal in newark... police respond to more than 100 fireworks- related calls. they confiscated three-barrels full of illegal fireworks. ( mark ) the vallejo fire department also had its hands full responding to reports of illegal fireworks. a grassy field off admiral callaghan lane at turner parkway caught fire. a quarter acre of land burned as a result of illegal fireworks. on the fourth of july -- the city received more than 130 illegal fireworks related calls. that's more than triple the number of calls last year. the fire department says illegal fireworks caused 13 fires.

jerry harbin is one of seven people charged in the 2015 shooting death of chyemil pierce. police say pierce was a innocent bystander who was caught in the middle of gun battle between two groups. harbin pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter. at least two other suspects in the case are expected to go to trial later this year. today... asiana airlines flight 214 crash-landed at s-f-o... killing three people. ( mark ) and now we are seeing new video of the crash. kron4's dan kerman shows us the video that was just released. few can forget this image of asiana flight 214 slamming into the seawall at sfo and then spinning like a top nose down before coming to a stop. 3 people were killed in the july 6 2013 crash and now this newly released video has made it's way to youtube the 47 minute video taken from an airport tower camera shows the crash off in the distance, you can see the white smoke at the 34 second mark, the plane comes to a rest and you see black smoke pouring out of the airliner.but it's not for another 90 seconds, that the emergency exit evacuation

slides are deployed, with the first passengers coming down at the 2:17 minute mark.the first responder arrives on scene just before the 3 minute mark and hoses start pouring water on the flames within the next minute.the last of the passengers appear to come off of the plane before the 5 minute mark, that's when additional firetrucks begin arriving .shortly after the 6 minute mark you see what could be emergency responders going back up the slide and into the plane.the national transportation safety board ruled the crash was due to pilot error, flying too low and too slow and relying too heavily on automation.sotthis is as shocking as the first time we saw itcapt. laura einsetler is a commercial airline pilot for a major u.s. carrier. while the f.a.a. says it "did not adopt any new regs for us carriers as a result of the crash." einsetler says major u.s. carriers are taking steps themselves to learn from asianas mistakes.sot capt. laura einsetler/commercial airline pilot 148-158 sot

( mark ) a morgan hill gym owner and personal trainer will spend seven years in state prison. david wolfsmith pleaded guilty to 14 charges of sexual assault involving 13 victims. two of them were minors. all of the assaults were committed while wolfsmith worked at wolfpak gym. once released from prison he will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. ( james ) an hours long standoff ends peacefully in san jose. now one man is facing assault and weapons charges. it happened at a home on raymond avenue. police say a man assaulted his

father and was holed up in a home with a gun.

morning... a second pack of gray wolves is spotted in northern california. the species went extinct in the state back in 19-24. this is a picture of the pack released by the u-s forest service. the wolves live in lassen national forest. this picture was taken back in june but was just released yesterday. wildlife officials say that wolf tracks have also been seen in plumas county. the first pack of gray wolves seen in california was spotted back in 2015 in siskiyou county.
