an oakland man has been indicted on terror related charges. amer sinan alhaggagi is accused of attempting to provide support to isis between july and november of last year. according to the indictment he opened several social media accounts to promote isis. he has also been charged with identity theft. if convicted he faces 47 years in prison. (2-shot grant) a frantic scene early this morning in san jose after a bloodied stabbing victim pounded on his neighbors doors in desperate search for help.(terisa) the victim is an employee of the san jose mecury news. kron four's rob fladeboe is live in san jose's willow glen neighborhood with the details. rob? (rob live) the merc isn't saying anything about the victim other than that he is an employee andis expected to survive. police say they are hunting for an adult female suspect in connection with the case.

this was the scene here on redbird drive off almaden road about 2;30 this morning as the adult male victim was loaded into an ambulance suffering from what one neighbor says are multiple stab wounds. neighbor bayron bonilla says it appears the victim had come to his place looking for help but was gone when he opened up. bayron bonilla/victim's neighbor ".....we were playing pool and we heard a loud bang at the door and some grunting noises and opened the door and there was blood on the door and blood on the floor.... bonilla says the victim lives here in an in-law condo at the rear of their duplex. a blood trailleads to the house next door, where the occupants

apparently discovered the victim slumped on the porch and called 911,albert morales/san jose police ".....when officers arrived they discovered an adult male subject who was suffering from at least one stab wound, he was transported to a local hospital and treated for non life threatening injuries....." police brought in dogs and searched the neighborhood for the suspect before breaking off a couple of hours later. investigators are said to be looking at surveillance video from a nearby 7-11 and other area businesses. no details were released about the relationship between victim and suspect. neighbors said they believe the man lives alone.bayron bonilla/victim's neighbor"....it's shocking because nothing ever really happens in this neighborhood. i't's very quiet and then something like this happens. it's kind of unreal..." (grant) the stabbing was at lily street and octavia boulevard in san francisco's hayes valley district around 7 p-m. police found the victim on the sidewalk with multiple stab wounds. he died on the scene. police do not know the motive behind the stabbing. an investigation and search for a suspect is still ongoing. it is a big weekend for runners - here in san francisco. this sunday marks the 40th anniversary of the san francisco marathon. and while runners and their fans are no doubt happy about this big event, it also brings some big time closures which is certainly going to impact a lot of people. one very notable issue, the golden gate bridge is going to be closed for awhile. get ready, get set go - well, not yet, but racers did get their jersey's friday, and if you are a driver, you need to be prepared for how to get around the race route on sunday, because there are some big changes this year. michelle lafrance, sf marathon. (terisa) a two-month old kitten was discovered inside a delivery truck in burlingame. (terisa) this is "pallet". officials from the peninsula humane society say the truck was making deliveries at various animal shelters before he was found. crews found him behind some pallets inside the truck. it took a total of 15-minutes to safely remove the kitten from the truck. the team at the peninsula humane society say they are lucky to have found him. shark attacks in southern california have prompted shark advisories at several beaches.. one of the attacks happened off the coast of santa barbara another happened in goleta... the first man was on a paddle board and says an 8-foot great white shark bit off the front of his board. the second attack..just hours later...a kayaker says a great white bit his kayak..flipping him into the water.. fortunately niether victim was hurt. brett zodtner jackson /kayak bit by shark"the first thing i saw was its nose .. bite .. jaw coming right at me!""it grabbed me and then it drove me sideways, flipped me over .. ended up on the bottom of the kayak which was out of water.""the puncture marks went all the way around the top and bottom." a shark expert measured that bite mark on the kayak and put the size of the shark at 11 to 13 feet.. roughly

leaning tower is continuing to tilt and sink. according to the lawyer representing the residents of the millennium tower... the 58 story luxury high rise has tilted another two inches so far this year. meanwhile engineers are proposing a solution to the problem. kron4's maureen kelly reports that who will foot the bill is still up in the air. (maureen kelly)the one thing everyone agrees on.stopping the millennium tower from sinking is not going to be cheap.sources say engineers brought in to tackle the problem are suggesting a fix that will involve drilling 50-100 new piles down to bedrock.a risk management and

earthquake engineering expert says the suggested solution seems like the most obvious one but it won't be easy.so the obvious thing is to go through the basement files it going with the piles and go all the way down. and then the tricky thing is is the type the whole thing together it's even trickier to be doing this well people are occupying the building. because we are talking major construction work over a rather long period of time. i understand several hundred tile filespiles that's a lot of work. it's also very expensive it's going to take quite a while to dothe cost is being estimated to be somewhere between 100 and 150 million dollars.the big question now is who will pay for it. everyone involved in the design, development and building of the millenium towers are in mediation with the homeowner's associationas is the transbay joint powers authority, the public agency building the new transbay terminal next door. it's that construciton projectthat the millenium tower develpors says it the reason the building has sunk so far down. the lawyers representing the homewoners says they are pushing for a early trial to hold the responsible parties responsible. maureen kelly kron4 news.

(grant) it's a new era for caltrain. today, state and local leaders celebrated the groundbreaking of the long- awaited caltrain electrification project... kron four's philippe djegal reports from the millbrae station... where cal-train says the project is expected to provide substantial economic and environmental improvements to the popular rail line. (philippe) electrifying the cal-train system from san francisco to san jose, since 1999, has been a lofty goal for the train service... that, with shovels now in the ground, is becoming a reality. gov. jerry brown- "its about the future, its about clean air, its about efficiency, speed, and its about not sitting in the freeway for a couple of hours, bumper to bumper." earlier this year... the federal transit administration approved a 647-million dollar grant for the project. funds that cal-train says are being matched by other regional and state partners to greenlight the system improvements.assm. kevin mullin- "converting caltrain service from diesel equipement

(grant) a warning for san francisco muni riders.... starting this weekend muni will be closing down part of its subway system... for light-rail testing.. stations between west portal and montgomerey will be closed starting this saturday.. they will be closed each weekend through august 20th...except for the weekend of august 11th. those stations will also be closed week-nights starting at 9-30 p-m and will re-open for the morning commute. some riders we spoke to are happy muni is testing new trains... others say it will make their commute a lot more difficult for the time being. kim ewing/muni rider-for me who works two jobs this really sucks.>(grant) there will be shuttles

(terisa) juan francisco lopez-sanchez was at the san francisco superior court this morning. both prosecutors and defense attorney's met to discuss possible trial dates. lopez-sanchez who is an undocumented immigrant pleaded not gulty for second-degree murder of steinle. steinle was shot and killed while walking with her father at pier 14 on july 1, 2015. lopez-sanchez's next court appearance has not been

(grant) many in the community have been pointing the finger at the police following the death of justine ruszczyk... the woman shot and killed by a police officer. reporter john lorinc has more on the community's demand for change. "no justice, no peace, prosecute the police." protesters took to the streets, angered by the fatal police shooting of justine ruszczyk in minneapolis.among those in the crowd....valerie castile, the mother of philando castile. he was fatally shot by a minneapolis area cop last year. she noted that ruszcyzk was killed on her son's birthday."like i said after the verdict they were going to kill again, and they have and i think it's our duty and our obligation and the spirit of my son led us over here to speak with the family."the 40-year-old ruszczyk was fatally shot by a police officer saturday.she

redbird drive off almaden road about 2;30 this morning as the adult male victim was loaded into an ambulance suffering from what one neighbor says are multiple stab wounds. neighbor bayron bonilla says it appears the victim had come to his place looking for help but was gone when he opened up. bayron bonilla/victim's neighbor ".....we were playing pool and we heard a loud bang at the door and some grunting noises and opened the door and there was blood on the door and blood on the floor.... bonilla says the victim lives here in an in-law condo at the rear of their duplex. a blood trailleads to the house next door, where the occupants apparently discovered the victim slumped on the porch and called 911,albert morales/san jose police ".....when officers arrived they discovered an adult male subject who was suffering from at least one stab wound, he was transported to a local hospital and treated for non life threatening injuries....." police brought in dogs and searched the neighborhood for the suspect before breaking off a couple of hours later.
