still have just under 100-thousand dollars. my parents and i, we dug deep.we got as many loans as we could so i could be the first in the family to go to college. i've seen -- it holds people back from starting a family. it makes it very hard to buy a house because of saving for a down payment. and if you have a good idea, it makes it very hard to start a business.so what we're trying to do - is first make student loans zero interest. also trying to encourage people to go into public service...and giving them early student loan forgiveness early on. because we're seeing a decline in young people who want to serve their country because they have to pay off those loans.
