again after a c-h-p patrol car hit and killed a pedestrian. it happened around 8:30 last night just north of half moon bay. the c-h-p car was driving on highway one when it hit a 74- year-old man. the man died at the scene. highway one between capistrano road and coronado street was closed for four hours following the crash. (marty) the bodies of a man and woman found inside a parked car in dolores heights. police aren't sure how long the victims had been in the vehicle. kron four's spencer blake talked to some neighbors about what they saw and heard. there is still a bit of blood staining the pavement on rayburn near the intersection of 21st street.there's not often a lot of activity here, but saturday morning, the crime scene was very active."i came out to walk the dog, and the whole street was full of

ambulances and fire trucks." this man talked to several of his neighbors who had gathered to see what police were doing at about 9:30 a-m. then he realized he was talking to the woman who was jogging when she noticed something wrong."she saw there was blood on the car. and so she took down the license plates and called the police. and then she came closer and saw that the woman did not move."several neighbors tell kron four they woke up to police megahorns telling them to stay in their homes.one man who lives across the street from where the car was parked says it appears officers thought there might have been an active threat. they threw a couple flash bangs as they approached the carbefore realizing the man and woman insidewere both dead. "this is rayburn - the small street where those victims were found. they were in the car right here on the curb. and this is almost an alleyway. it's very tucked in and you can see a lot of garage doors, a lot of front doors. but what you don't see are a lot of windows."it's hard to find people who saw or

heard what happened, though police have been trying to track those potential witnesses down.one woman tells kron four there's an upcoming block party that will happen just a block away from where the car was."i'm sure more people will come as a result of this because i think everybody is concerned and wants to speak with their neighbors about what they're seeing."police aren't yet publicizing the victims' identities, nor do they have any description on a potential suspect.in san francisco, spencer blake, kron four news. (marty) in oakland... generosity was on display as people gave to help the victims of hurricane maria. kron four's philippe djegal talked to those who felt compelled to lend a hand. island without power, left in ruins after hurricane maria leveled much of the territory. edgar quiroz/donor- "our puerto rican brothers were sympathetic and helpful during the earthquakes in mexico a couple of weeks ago and its all about community helping one another. we're one large latino community."nats- kermit lucena co- organized the donation drive... kermit lucena/co-organizer- "i was born and raised in puerto rico." lucena and a coaltion of bay area based puerto ricans recently launched the website s-f-4-p- r-dot-com... raising donations to support the victims of hurricane maria. kermit lucena/co-organizer- "my parents are still there, uh, i mean, luckily i've been in communication with them." he says they are okay -- but that they too need help. lucena says this donation drive is one of many his group plans on hosting in the coming weeks.kermit lucena/co- organizer- "i was there for hurricane hugo and george. (inaudible) 98 respectively and this is, i talked with my parents and they told me, this is like nothing we've ever seen." city of oakland councilmember at large, rebecca kaplan... met with organizers and says she is impressed by the public's generosity.rebecca kaplan/councilmember- "we know that puerto rico has been abused in many ways over the

anthem and are confidant the team will repeat in this next season."(nat: national anthem) all members of the warriors stood for the national anthem at their first exhbition game saturday night. there was kneeling. no one linked arms. but many left their hands clasped before or behind them or had their arms at their sides as they kept their heads down.whether this was meant to be taken as any message or not is unclear as the team made no direct statement before the game against the denver nuggets. either way fans back them with whatever course they take in regard using their platform to combat perceived racial injustice in america. sot: warriors fan// "i think they already made their message i don't think they need to do it anymore. it's loud and clear and i think everyone already knows their stance on the situation."sot: warriors fan// "the reason why america is such a great country is because people have a voice to make change however they feel its proper especially if its peacefully and so that's kind of what i stand by. if these people want to make a statement i'm for it as long as no body is getting hurt. i think protests should be a little bit uncomfortable."controversy

one of the most decorated pitcher's in giants history is calling it a career. matt cain took the mound for the final time in his 13-year career. he had a great showing... he pitched five scoreless innings. cain was a key part in the giants winning three world series in five season... and is the only pitcher to throw a perfect game in franchise history. fighting the tears... cain left the game with standing ovation from fans. in the dugout teammates showered him with hugs. manager, bruce bochy says it's not easy saying goodbye to a giants legend

( marty @ landing) big story we have been following. since wednesday there have been multiple rockslides on el capitan. in addition to that a climber fell on friday. last wednesday a tourist from wales was killed by a rockslide. we've learned

he was protecting his wife who was badly injured during the slide and airlifted to a nearby hospital. the two were not rockclimbing at the time. on thursday, a rockslide 20 times as big as as wednesday's happened. these are some of the pictures of what it looked like on the ground. one man was hit in the head by a falling rock. friday a climber fell and was injured but the details in that case are limited. officials say on average there are around 80 rockslides a year in yosemite valley. the rockslides have not stopped visitors from climbing. ( marty ) the mayor of san juan, puerto rico is making another emotional plea for more help... as the devestated u.s. territory fights off a major humanitarian crisis just 10 days after hurricane maria. kim hutcherson reports. days after hurricane maria decimated the island of puerto rico, there are signs recovery.

according to puerto rico's governor, more than fifty percent of gas operators are now up and running... as well as most hospitals.however, millions are still without electricity and running low on food and water. those who do have power, need gas for generators and cash to purchase the gas.all of which, cash, water and food are scarce or sitting at the port of san juan waiting for someone to deliver them.more rain this weekend may further delay efforts to deliver those supplies.the island is currently under a flash flood watch until sunday.president donald trump plans to tour puerto rico tuesday...stating in his weekly address "it's getting better." sot trump "i know it's been devastating. but we're sending people to help and it's getting better on a daily basis." ( marty ) more than 300 people across the country are preparing to leave for puerto rico to help with hurricane relief efforts. a group from the bay area plans to head out this week.. kron 4's hermela aregawi caught up with some of those nurses. a major mission.nurses from across the country are heading to puerto rico..to help health care workers there who are completely overwhelmed in the aftermath of hurricane maria. maureen dugan/california nurses associatonthis is like the heart of nurseing. i mean this is what nurses want to do. they want to go in and help. and we are used to responding to emergencies. but clearly this is on a larger scale... it's what we do as nurses. we want to care for people at their most vulnerable times. the group of

volunteers have been responding to major disasters since 2004. maureen dugan/california nurses associatonwe had nurses just go to hurricane harvey and irma. and they had out of control diabetes. they had children being born. so the basics of day to day but exacerbated. people don't have their medication. they don't have clean water. more than 3 million people in puerto rico are without power and are running out of food, clean water and medications.many hospitals and clinics have had to shut down..in what some are calling a healthcare catastrophemaureen dugan/california nurses associatonnot only are you helping victims but the leaders of these communities. the medical professionals of these communities. they have been working 96 hours straight. they have been devastated as well but they're there because that's their mission. "the spy who loved me," then you remember the lotus sports car that transformed into a personal submarine. . now, four decades later, british luxury automaker aston martin is planning to build a real personal sub. it's actually very apropos, considering that aston martins have been featured in 11 james bond films. a handful of subs will be built at a price tag of roughly four million dollars each. aston martin plans to start shipping them to customers at the end of 20-18. again after a c-h-p patrol car hit and killed a pedestrian. it happened around 8:30 last night just north of half moon bay. the c-h-p car was driving on highway one when it hit a 74- year-old man. the man died at the scene. highway one between capistrano road and coronado street was closed for four hours following the crash. (marty) the bodies of a man and woman found inside a parked car in dolores heights. police aren't sure how long the victims had been in the vehicle. kron four's spencer blake talked to some neighbors about what they saw and heard. there is still a bit of blood staining the pavement on rayburn near the intersection of 21st street.there's not often a lot of activity here, but saturday morning, the crime scene was very active."i came out to walk the dog, and

the whole street was full of ambulances and fire trucks." this man talked to several of his neighbors who had gathered to see what police were doing at about 9:30 a-m. then he realized he was talking to the woman who was jogging when she noticed something wrong."she saw there was blood on the car. and so she took down the license plates and called the police. and then she came closer and saw that the woman did not move."several neighbors tell kron four they woke up to police megahorns telling them to stay in their homes.one man who lives across the street from where the car was parked says it appears officers thought there might have been an active threat. they threw a couple flash bangs as they approached the carbefore realizing the man and woman insidewere both dead. "this is rayburn - the small street where those victims were found. they were in the car right here on the curb. and this is almost an alleyway. it's very tucked in and you can see a lot of garage doors, a lot of front doors. but what you don't see are a lot of windows."it's hard to find people who saw or heard what happened, though police have been trying to track those potential witnesses down.one woman tells kron four there's an upcoming block party that will happen just a block away from where

was badly injured during the slide and airlifted to a nearby hospital. the two were not rockclimbing at the time. on thursday, a rockslide 20 times as big as as wednesday's happened. these are some of the pictures of what it looked like on the ground. one man was hit in the head by a falling rock. friday a climber fell and was injured but the details in that case are limited. officials say on average there are around 80 rockslides a year in yosemite valley. the rockslides have not stopped visitors from climbing. from wales was killed by a rockslide. we've learned he was protecting his wife who was badly injured during the slide and airlifted to a nearby hospital. the two were not rockclimbing at the time. on thursday, a rockslide 20 times as big as as wednesday's happened. these are some of the pictures of what it looked like on the ground. one man was hit in the head by a falling rock. friday a climber fell and was injured but the details in that case are limited. officials say on average there are around 80 rockslides a year in yosemite valley. the rockslides have not stopped visitors from climbing. ( marty ) 4 your health this morning. health officials are warning this flu season could be a miserable one. australia has already been hit hard by a strain that causes severe symptoms. tashanea whitlow has more on how you can prepare. this flu season is expected to be rough one. flu season, usually starts as early as october, but according dr. ira helfand from the family care medical center in springfield, health officials have already confirmed several cases. "everyone needs to get a flu shot this year, that's really the key way for people to protect themselves," said dr. helfand. especially this year. and that's because there's been a major flu outbreak in australia that could affect us here in the united states. "the concern is with this large outbreak h3n1 in australia, that has been going on over our summer, their winter. that's the strain we're going to see this winter," helfand told 22news. every flu season is different and influenza infection can affect people differently. millions of people get the flu every year. hundreds of thousands of people are hospitalized and thousands die from flu-related causes every year, according to the centers for disease control and prevention.rita leger of chicopee said, its imperative her husband gets his flu shot. "he has severe copd. his lungs are all congested, so if he gets the flu, he could die from it." leger continued, "i get it every year, because i don't want to get the flu."
