following the shooting rampage. (robin) when the shooting began - her husband apparently told her to run... while he stayed behind to help the wounded. she has not been seen or heard from since. kron4's charles clifford talked to her friends and family. soti can't imagine what vinnie is going through.according to san francisco police officers association president martin halloran, sfpd officer vinnie etcheber and his wife, stacee, were at the concert in las vegas when shots rang out sunday evening.sothe's a veteran sfpd officer and he immediately told his wife to run. he started to render aid to the wounded and evacuate them.in the confusion, officer etcheber lost track of his wife and she still hasn't been found. complicating matters is the fact that stacee wasn't carrying a phone or id.sotshe did not have a cell phone with her; she left it in a hotel room. she did not have identification on her; she gave it to vinnie when they entered the concert so we don't know where she's at. the most ideal outcome here, of course, is that stacie is safe somewhere and just hasn't been able to make contact. with 59 people

j-r stone was at s-f-o to speak with some locals who say they're grateful to be alive. sot people screaming for their lives and the gunshots it just didn't stopkatie cheetham is from novato. sunday night she survived the mass shooting in las vegas. monday she arrived back at san francisco international airport.sot there was just blood everywhere. people were shot in the leg the back the face. katie was with her girlfriend in this crowd when they heard shots. they origianally thought the sounds were that of firecrackers but when a second round of shots began and they witnessed people being hit then dropping to the ground. they knew there was a shooter.sot when the gunshots went off again and i turned around i saw a lady that got shot right in the forehead and i knew that this was actually real then i dropped down and buried my head under people. i could just feel the bullets passing right by my ear.when that round of shots stopped katie thought they'd have a chance to run somewhere else which is exactly what they did.

sot i looked at my girlfriend and said we got to go now get up and run.the two were split from one another but katie was able to take cover in a porta potty with another woman. they waited until long after the shots stopped, opened the door, and ran to where they were staying at the tropicana. sotkatie says she is greatful to be alive. while everything was going on she even reached out to her mom, dad, brother, and boyfriend with a quick but meaningful message.sot (james) kron four's spencer blake has been in las vegas since yesterday, speaking with bay area residents who were at the concert. two men he spoke with survived the massacre by hiding under the bleachers. "the wave of people just trying to do whatever comes to mind for their first instinct and run away. i saw a police officer running toward the gunfire, which was the opposite way of everybody else and that really made an impact on me." (james) happening today... there will be extra police patrols at two east bay high schools after threatening graffiti was found. police say the graffiti was spray painted in danville -- on a footbridge near old blackhawk road. it read " shooting at m-v and s-r-v " on 10-3 meaning today. it referred to monte vista and san ramon valley high schools. however, police say they have found ánoá evidence that shows the threat is credible.

(james) also happening today... president donald trump heads to puerto rico to survey the damage left behind by hurricane maria. the president has called the aftermath of maria an "impossible situation" for the island. he also says there has been an amazing amount of progress in puerto rico in the last week. but the mayor of san juan has criticized the federal relief effort. the majority of the island still doesn't have electricity, and there's still no service for most cell phones. but the puerto rican governor says conditions are improving... with water and food finally reaching more people. ( mark ) the 74-year-old man killed over the weekend after being hit by a san mateo patrol car - has been identified. he is vicente marquez of burlingame. the crash happened saturday night on highway one in half moon bay. the c-h-p says he was trying to cross the road to get to his car...when he was hit by the patrol car and killed. ( mark ) breaking news....we just received word that a novato woman who was missing in las vegas following the shooting rampage...has passed away. ( darya ) she is the wife of a san francisco police officer. vinnie etcheber and his wife stacee were at the concert on sunday night. when the shooting began, vinnie told his wife to run while he stayed behind and

helped people who were injured. stacee has not been seen or heard from since. just moments ago, a family member posted on facebook that stacee was killed in the shooting. the post says stacee leaves behind two children and a loving husband. ( darya ) kron four's spencer blake is in las vegas... speaking with bay area residents who were at the concert. two men he spoke with survived the massacre by hiding under the bleachers.( mark ) but they didn't know if and when they should make a run for it. they say it was hard to think straight with everything that was going on around them. "it was so loud. and you just don't know. you really don't know. is it a group, or is it one? is it gonna stop in two minutes? i mean it just kept going. it was probably the longest eight minutes of your life anyone can experience." ( mark ) the las vegas massacre brings up bad memories for some who lived through a deadly shooting back in 1993 in san francisco. on july 1st, 1993 a gunman entered the 101 california street office building in downtown san francisco, rode the elevator up to the 34th floor where a lawfirm was located and opened fire. that shooting left nine people dead, including the gunman. survivors went on to create an anti-gun violence law center. ( mark ) the organization provides legal help to anyone looking to stop the type of violence that unfolded in las vegas.

crisis san jose's mayor has plans to build several thousand new homes. mayor sam liccardo's goal is to have 25 thousand housing units built... in just five years. the mayor wants 10 thousand of those units to be affordable... which he admits is a tough task in silicon valley where million dollar homes have become the norm. ( darya ) just last week...governor brown signed 15 bills to provide more money for affordable housing. opened fire during a country music festival. the suspect fired rounds from the 32nd floor of the mandalay bay hotel. he died from what police believe was a self-inflicted gunshot wound. ( mark ) and in new york... one world trade center and the empire state building have been lit with a single orange band... to honor the victims in las vegas. the orange represents victims of gun violence. ( mark ) some n-f-l fans are angry this morning after three kansas city chiefs players sat or kneeled during the national anthem... just a day after the mass shooting in las vegas.( darya ) the flag flew at half-staff at arrowhead field. e-s-p-n didn't plan on broadcasting the pre-game anthem.... but changed its mind because of the tragedy. chiefs cornerback marcus peters -- an oakland native -- and two others did not stand for the anthem. but peters was the only one shown on t-v. all of the redskins players remained standing for the
