solved the homicide case the 2015 shooting death of berkeley musician emiliano nevarez has been solvedit was back in april of 2015 outside of the golden bull bar on 14th street in oakland. that is where emiliano nevarez was picking up his musical equipment when he was struck by a stray bullet. oakland police sgt. eric milina says dejour jamison was shooting at another person at the time the joint opd and fbi investigation centered around tips that came in about a month ago that pointed to jamerson being the alleged shooter in the case. however when investigators tracked him down they learned that 24-year-old dejour jamerson died in a car collision while

trying to out run police in placer county back in november of 2016 investigators say that they notified emiliano nevarez's family aearlier this week about jamerson's being the alleged shooter in this case. police say dejour jamerson was 22-year-old at the time of the shooting, was a resident of oakland and vallejo and was known to oakland police...live in oakland haaziq madyun kron4news (vicki) just in to kron four... a lockdown has

been lifted at woodside elementary school in san mateo county -- after reports of a man with a gun. police say the man was seen in the creek behind the school just before 3:30 this afternoon. the man has not been found, but the lockdown is now over. police are searching for the man who was seen wearing a white jumpsuit. we will update this story as more information becomes available. (vicki) and a lockdown at milpitas high school has been lifted for the second time today.. police detained one student with a gun on campus... and then investigated a rumor of a second armed student. it happened just after the lunch break this afternoon. a second student was found off campus.. but it's not clear if that student actually had a gun. the lockdown was lifted just after 3:00... and students were released from school. (steve) tonight-- wildfires continue to burn in the north bay. thousands of homes are destroyed and dozens of lives are lost. following tonight-- elevated levels of lead have been found in the water at three bay area schools. and we are now hearing from parents. (steve) kron 4's camila bernal is at west portal elementary school in san francisco with the details. these are the schools -- west portal elementary, malcolm x elementary and san francisco international high school. all of the schools are in san francisco. the school district says the water itself is not bad -- but in each case it's a problem with certain pipes. the schools are working to fix the problems. the fixtures where the high lead leves were detected are shutdown. if needed, bottled water is being provided and parents have been notified. earlier this month a new california law came into effect that requires testing in all state public schools. lead exposure in kids can impact the development of the brain and nervous system.

say an eight- year old brought the firemarm to school another student reported seeing it. once at the scene police contacted the child's parents -- and found the weapon in the student's backpack. the student has been suspended...however parent's we talked too...are still on edge tonight.(sot) police arrested 30 year old san ramon resident, anthony o'donnell. he is the father of the kid who brought the gun to the school. this is the second time this month that a student has brought a loaded gun to an east bay school. a student was arrested accused of bringing a gun on campus at de anza high school in richmond. (vicki) the san francisco 49ers, san jose police officers association and other major law enforcement unions across the country are teaming up to sign a "pledge for a more understanding and safer

america." the pledge comes after the mass shooting in las vegas. the 49ers and the police departments are pledging to push for legislation to ban "bump stocks" and any other mechanism that allows a semi-automatic weapon to become an automatic weapon. there is also a pledge to create a public awareness campaign to improve police and community relationships. the 49ers have pledged 500 thousand towards the campaign. they will also invite other nfl teams to sign the pledge. the kate steinle case was only one of several cases in the bay area... of someone being shot and killed with a stolen gun... and that includes other weapons stolen from law enforcement... catherine heenan is here to tell us about that part of the story... (catherine) it's particularly disturbing that a gun stolen from a law enforcement officeris later used in a killing.. another example -- in oakland - muralist antonio ramos was shot to death in september of 2015. that gun had been was stolen from an immigration and customs enforcement agent in san francisco. it had been taken from his car weeks earlier.. a suspect is under arrest and charged with the murder. ramos's family has sued ice over his death. the most recent example -- the killing of abel esquivel jr.....a young

community activist ...shot and killed during an armed robbery in august in san francisco's mission district.. the gun used had been stolen from the personal car of a san francisco police officer.. three people were arrested in that shooting. and while they're not tied to shooting deaths.. two guns were stolen from law enforcement officers who had been visiting from out of town this past september... those officers had been in the bay area helping with security for u-c berkeley's free speech week. a backpack was stolen from an unmarked s-u-v outside a diner in oakland. a state law was signed last year - now requiring that officers store guns in a locked trunk or safe box if they're kept in a car... pam and steve? loaded gun to an east bay elementary school, has been arrested. it happened tuesday in san ramon.... at twin creeks elementary. police say, an eight- year old brought the firemarm to school another student reported seeing it. once at the scene, police contacted the child's parents -- and found the weapon in the student's backpack. parent's we talked with are upset about what happened.. police arrested 30-year-old anthony o- donnell at this home this morning. this is the second time this month that a student has brought a loaded gun to an east bay school. a student was arrested ... accused of bringing a gun on campus at de anza high school in richmond. (steve) profane comments from antioch high school

junior varsity football players has cost the entire team tonight's game. the principle say six j-v football players made "profane, vulgar or sexually explicit comments" as female students walked by the locker rooms monday. another six students reportedly made comments supporting their friends or failed to intervene or leave. the principal says the girls felt threatened by the comments. we spoke with students about the decision to cancel the game. (student): "well, i feel like it did get out of hand. no matter who said what, they shouldn't have. it doesn't matter who you are and how you're talking about if you're friends with them you shouldn't talk bad upon anyone else even if it's your friend." the incident comes just a week after some players attended a seminar on sexual assault and bullying. some of students were suspended or sent home. elementary, malcolm x elementary and san francisco international high school. the school district says, the problem is not with the water but with certain pipes. the fixtures where the high lead levels were detected are now shutdown. the schools are working to fix the problems... in the meantime bottled water is being provided. (concerned parent): "i was very concerned because both of my kids go to this school and drink a lot of water especially with the water lately being so warm that i gave them extra water bottles from home, bottled ones, because i didn't want them to try to get any water from the foutain." another concern... lead exposure in kids can affect the development of the brain and nervous system. earlier this month, a new california law went into effect .. which requires testing in all state public schools. in connection with a 'road rage' incident in berkeley the incident happened last thursday on ashby avenue. the man on the right of your screen... is who police are looking for. the victim says, he was driving when his passenger yelled at a mercedes driver for driving recklessly. when the cars stopped in traffic the mercedes driver got out his car.. and attacked the pair in the other vehicle. the victims got out of their car .. and they all started arguing. at one point... police say, the suspect got back in his mercedes ... driving it into one of the victims. no one was seriously injured. the suspect is wanted tonight for assault with a deadly weapon, and battery. (steve) one person is injured after a shooting near an elementary school in san jose... the shooter is still on the loose tonight. it happened just after midnight near the corner of leeward drive and barlow avenue...that is just a few blocks away from sylvia cassell elementary school. officers found one man with at least one gunshot wound.

he was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay. police have not yet released a description of the shooter. the house today passed a 4-trillion dollar budget .... that moves president trump closer to his goal of cutting taxes.. catherine heenan is here with more on the vote that could lead to huge tax cut.. (pam)(on cam) an east bay high school is standing by its decision to reinstate a teacher ... after an investigation confirming inappropriate conduct with students. that is according to the superintendent of piedmont unified school district. district officials say, the reason the teacher is keeping his job is because the conduct was not criminal. (pam) five recent piedmont high school graduates reported the incidents, which occurred last school year. the teacher was placed on administrative leave in september, but has since been reinstated.

arrested for a murder in the south bay. and police say, the killing was part of a

larger crime spree targeting bay area brothels. an yan... lin tao and panpan huang (wong) have been arrested for the murder that happened last month in san jose. police say, the three are also suspected in crimes at brothels in south san francisco... milpitas... and fremont. all three men are from southern california. they face a number of charges including murder ... robbery... kidnapping and sexual assault. police also released this surveillance video of two men they are still looking for in connection with the crimes. police have not yet identified these two suspects... they are hoping you can help with more information that could lead to their arrests.
