(catherine) it happened near east weddell drive and fair oaks avenue in sunnyvale this afternoon. police say when they arrived - they found the stabbing suspect - and shots were fired. (steve) kron 4's spencer blake just got to the scene. spencer-- what can you tell us? an officer-involved shooting an officer- involved shooting with a stabbing suspect has shut down the intersection of east weddell drive and fair oaks avenue this afternoon, according to the sunnyvale department of public safety. public safety officials said they responded to a report of a stabbing in the 500 block of east weddell drive around 1 p.m. when they arrived at the scene, they encountered a suspect and shots were fired. public safety officials did not

collie named magic, is being held here at animal care and control.kron 4 has learned this is not the first time pardo's dog has attacked a human. the dog had already been deemed vicious and dangerous by the city after biting rec and park employees twice before. pardo was supposed to keep the dog muzzled and on a leash as a result.pardo was booked on charges of attempted murder, three counts of assault with a deadly weapon , robbery, and possession of a dangerous dog amoung other charges.maureen kelly kron4 news. (steve) police are looking for an armed man accused of stealing medication from a walgreens in walnut creek. it happened yesterday on the 29-hundred block of north main street. police say an armed man jumped over the pharmacy counter and threatened employees with a gun. they say he stole opiate-based medications, and ran off toward treat boulevard. no employees or customers were harmed during the robbery. the robber was never found.

(rob live) i'm here across from the capitol avenue light rail station where a man called 911 about 1:15 this morning to report that he'd been struck by some kind of projectile. later, it was determined the man had been shot in the face. here's more. wearing protective masks and gloves, sheriff's deputies on tuesday could be seen taking into evidence a bicycle and other items found on the street level of the capitol avenue light rail station. the unidentified adult male victim was apparently riding

that bicycle here along capitol avenue at or near the station when he was shot. moments later, in a call to 911 placed from a pay phone at the station, the man reported that he had been struck by some sort of projectile. the call came in as a man with a facial injury later, at the hospital, a cat scan reportedly determined that he had been struck in the face by a small caliber bullet. deputies said there were no reports of gunfire in the area. light rail trains by- passed the capitol station for several hours as vta provided a bus bridge for passengers. this man said he knows the victim but did not speak with reporters. several people were questioned but deputies offered no information about any possible suspects. (rob live) there are several surveillance cameras over looking the pay phone and area where the bicycle was found. deputies are now reviewing that video for a

(catherine) the driver has been identified as 29- year-old sayfullo saipov. witnesses say he shouted the phrase "allahu akbar" as he got out of the truck. meaning "god is great" in arabic. police say the method of the attack and the suspect's statement is what caused them to label this a terror attack. (steve) here is a closer look at where the attack happened. the man entered the bike path and drove south, hitting pedestrians and cyclists. he then hit a school bus, injuring at least two adults. the man exited the vehicle brandishing a paintball gun and a pellet gun. he was then shot in the abdomen by a police officer and is now hospitalized. (catherine) and take a look at this new video just in to kron four. someone posted this on snapchat... and it appears to show the suspect being taken down by police.

you can see the aftermath. we're told the truck, which was unmanned, slid down the hill on broadway and divisadero.the truck mostly slammed into parked cars...but three cars were actually driving when they were hit.we just got word that 12 vehicles were damaged.we're told at least three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.sfpd confirms the driver of the truck will be cited. while on a highway. around 11:30 saturday night... a driver reported seeing the passenger of a truck with a handgun... firing shots. a witness told police the truck was near interstate 680 and highway 24. c-h-p caught up with the truck a short time later on highway four. they followed it off the highway and into a shopping center parking lot. that's where the passenger got out of the truck and took off. officers were able to catch him and arrested him. when authorities searched the truck... the found the handgun described by the witness. they also found ammunition, a large amount of marijuana and 2,000 dollars in cash. (steve) tonight-- we're hearing from a bay area principal after the threat of a shooting on a high school campus.(catherine) there was increased security at redwood high school in larkspur today. this is the second threat there in just over a month. kron 4's will tran talked to students and staff as they arrived for class this morning.

(catherine) a warning tonight - before you go trick-or-treating the f-d-a says eating large amounts of black licorice can be harmful. the candy is made from a shrub native to greece that contains a compound that can lower potassium levels. eating even two ounces a day can reportedly cause heart problems, high blood pressure, swelling, and sluggishness. last year there was a least one reported case of black licorice causing serious health problems. (steve) utah police have arrested the man wanted in a deadly carjacking near the university of utah. 24-year-old austin boutain turned himself in following an overnight manhunt near campus. boutain was wanted for the death of a 23-year-old student from china. that student was found shot to death in his car near the university of utah campus. authorities say boutain had been camping in the area with his wife for at least a few days. he is also wanted for questioning in

the death of a 63-year-old man whose body was found in a trailer in colorado. the second time this month - a bay area family has had their halloween decorations stolen.. this time-- it was caught on surveillance video. kron4's charles clifford has more on the theft in tiburon. around midnight on monday october 23rd, this car pulled up in front of a home along celilia way in tiburon. the driver, gets out and inspects the house from the sidewalk. after a few minutes he picks up two skeleton arm decorations that were sitting on the front lawn and puts them in his car. he then walks up the driveway and takes a closer look at the other decorations. at one point he looks directly into a surveillance cameras mounted outside the house. after several more minutes he picks up a fullsize zombie sitting near the front door. he walks it back to his car, puts it in

the trunk and drives off.sot couldn't believe it because it was so brazen.carolyn dilena lives here with her family. she's stunned that someone would take their decorations. sotwe were home sleeping not far away from the front door. the guy takes his time. he was here 7 or 8 minutes, inspecting everything.carolyn did report the thefts to the tiburon police department. they told kron 4 on monday that the case is under investigation but so far, the this man has not been identified.the tiburon thefts also occurred on the same night that someone stole halloween decorations from a home along lake street in san francisco, which is roughly a ten to fifteen minute drive away. in that case, several items were stolen including this full size witch. so far there is no indication that these thefts were commited by the same person.carolyn concedes that she's probably not going to get her decorations back but she hopes that whoever did this will be found.sotat this point, i think my zombie is gone. i would really like to see the guy identified and brought to

(pam) in the east bay... police arrested a man... after they received reports that he was firing a gun out of a truck. around 11:30- saturday night... a driver reported seeing the passenger of a truck with a handgun... firing shots. a witness told police, the truck was near interstate- 680 and highway- 24. the c-h-p caught up with the truck a short time later, on highway- four. they followed it off the highway and into a shopping center parking lot. that is where the passenger got out of the truck... and took off. officers were able to catch him and arrest him. when authorities searched the truck... they found the handgun described by the witness. they also found ammunition, a large amount of marijuana and 2,000 dollars in cash.

(steve) police are looking for an armed man accused of stealing medication from a walgreens in walnut creek. it happened yesterday on north main street. police say an armed man jumped over the pharmacy counter and threatened employees with a gun. the suspect stole opiate-based medications, and ran off toward treat boulevard. no employees or customers were harmed during the robbery. the robber is at large tonight. police have not released any description and are combing the area for surveillance video. ( steve ) the call came in early this morning from a pay phone at a light rail station on west capitol avenue, near highway 87. but as kron four's rob fladeboe reports now, that man was seriously injured after being shot in the face. wearing protective masks and gloves, sheriff's deputies on tuesday could be seen taking into evidence a bicycle and other items found on the street level of the capitol avenue light rail station. the unidentified adult male victim was apparently riding that bicycle here along capitol avenue at or near the station when he was shot. moments later, in a call to 911 placed from a pay phone at the station, the man reported that he had been struck by some sort of projectile. the call came in as a man with a facial injury later, at the hospital, a cat scan reportedly determined that he had been struck in the face by a small caliber bullet. deputies said there were no reports of gunfire in the area. light rail trains by-
