neighborhood. kron4's charles clifford has more on the capture of the 18 month old cougar. friday morning, neighors here in the diamond heights neighborhood of san francisco spotted this mountain lion crouched or possibly sleeping in some brush. sfpd officers arriving on scene kept the area clear until the california department of fish and wildlife arrived. the decision was then made to tranqulize the animal and move it to a safe location.sotthe lion was started twice. the first time while it was on the hill, as a result downhill it appearswe waited approximately 10minutes and administered a second dosage of the drugthe capture of this cat is the third mountain lion encounter in san francisco in this month. a week ago, salesforce ceo mark benieoff spotted a mountain lion on surveillance video outside his home near san francisco's presidio. then this past wednseday, it happened again.at this point fish and wildlife isn't saying for sure that the cat captured on friday is the same one seen earlier in the week. but mountain lion sightings in san francisco are rare, diamond heights and the presidio or relatively close to each other and three sightings in just seven days suggests it could quite easily be the same animal. sotwe

( marty ) happening today... expect some delays if you are heading across the bay bridge. cal-trans plans to implode the last two piers of the old span. this is video of a previous implosion. the work is scheduled to take place between six and eight in the morning. the c-h-p will stop traffic at the metering lights on the east side of the bridge. they'll also have a rolling stop on the west side when the implosion occurs. officials say the pier demolition will be completed one year ahead of schedule. the country are now signing up for obamacare in big numbers despite the trump administration slashing advertising and support for open enrollment. upwards of 600-thousand people signed up in the first four days. that far outpaces last year's rate. nearly a quarter of those people were first-time enrolees. this despite the trump administrations efforts to dismantle the affordable care act. in addition to cutting advertising and support for enrollment, the trump administration cut the sign-up period from three months to just six weeks. surveillance video that a family is hoping will help them find their missing dog. they believe their yorkie was stolen out right out of their car. it happened in oakland right outside a popular mexican restaurant on fruitvale avenue and san leandro street. kron4's spencer blake has more. take a look at biscuit, a purebred yorkie who, along with buttercup, is like a family member to melissa smith. both dogs were inside her car at guadalajara restaurant sunday afternoon while she ate a quick lunchand what you're looking at now, is likely the moment biscuit was stolen. "when i went to unlock my door and i opened it, the alarm went off. and i was like, 'well, why is the alarm going

( marty ) in pinole, a driver slammed into a gas station causing a major fire. take a look at this video. police say the driver lost control and crashed into a gas pump. causing the car to burst into flames. it happened around 1:30 yesterday afternoon at the chevron station on estates avenue and pinole valley road. a gas station empolyees were able to get to the emergency shut off in time. and the driver was reportedly not hurt. right in the middle of a san francisco neighborhood. a mountain lion was captured after it was spotted behind a housing complex. now we are learning more about what is next for the 82 pound big cat. it all happened on diamond heights boulevard friday afternoon. in san francisco's noe valley neighborhood. kron4's charles clifford has more on the capture of the 18 month old cougar. friday morning, neighors here in the diamond heights neighborhood of san francisco spotted this mountain lion crouched or possibly sleeping in some brush. sfpd officers arriving on scene kept the area clear until the california department of fish and wildlife arrived. the decision was then made to tranqulize the animal and move it to a safe location.sotthe lion was started twice. the first time while it was on the hill, as a result downhill it appearswe waited approximately 10minutes and administered a

cooling towers contaminated with bacteria that is believed to have caused several cases of legionnaires' disease. orange county health officials discovered 12 cases of the disease in people who were in the anaheim area in september-- 9 of them visited the disney park. legionnaires' is a severe lung infection caused by exposure to contaminated water or mist. in a statement this morning, a disney representative said the affected towers were treated with chemicals to destroy the bacteria, and that there is no longer any known risk associated with the facilities. (marty) the north bay firestorm has had an effect on everyone who lives in santa rosa. but on friday, for some, the focus was solely on football. the cardinal newman high school campus was severely damaged in the fire. but kron4's hermala aregawi reports on friday, their team made the playoffs. louisa wycoff/parent: it seems like the boys my sons were shellshocked for a good period of time and it's taken them a little bit to get back into the swing of things. theyre going to school in different places. and things are shaken up quite a bit so practice has helped them keep the continuity and be involved with something they know and something they love and just really keep their regular schedule in a way that's familiar. it's what they do anyway to relax and blow off steam so i feel like it's good to have that for them to fall back on in a crisisdan younce/parentit just helps bring the community back together, shows how strong the north bay is as a whole and these kids losing half the school and not being able to play on their home field. this
