(robin)in the north bay ... a 14-year-old boy is recovering after being hit by a car in santa rosa. it happened yesterday morning near peterson lane and guerneville road. police have not yet released much information about the crash. the boy was taken to the hospital... but there is no word on his condition. police did not say what happened to the driver. (robin) santa rosa police have arrested a man ... accused of pimping and having sex with teenage girls. he has been identified as 20- year-old laiken james. this comes after police investigated an online ad for sex. police say, james

was acting as her pimp. police also say, james was having several sexual relationships with girls from 14 to 17 years old. he has been booked into the sonoma county jail with a 55-thousand dollar bail. (robin) and in the east bay... a second victim has died from injuries ... in a crash that happened over the thanksgiving holiday. 25- year old alexys garcia suffered major injuries from the crash on stanley boulevard in livermore on the night before thanskgiving. there were five people in the car... when the driver veered off the road and the car flipped over.. a 16 -year old passenger also died in the crash. the driver --- lauren davis --- was arrested on suspicion of second- degree murder and felony drunk driving. (robin) that accident comes, as the man accused of driving under the influence in a separate holiday crash, appeared in court. fred lowe is accused of killing four family members in a dui accident over the thanksgiving holiday.... as kron4's

terisa estacio reports he's now facing bail of four- point-two million dollars. derek butts. his license had been suspended 5 times, and warned recently. contra costa count prosecutor derke butts on the mountain of evidence in the fred lowe case lowe accused of killing these four family members, daryl and joe horn and troy and baden biddle in this horrible crash last saturday. the four had been coming home from a father and son basketball game. son, jerod horn driving chp investigators say lowe driving under the influence smacked into the nissan causing it to flip out of control.butts. this is a horrendous accident we are going nto do all we can to get justice.lowe's whos picture has not been released yet is now facing four counts of murder, plus hit and run. the horn family shared this video with kron four news the

other night friends held a candle light vigil at the horn's napa home. jerod is a pitcher at cal and the only one to survive.lowe's extensie criminal history dates back to the 90s for robbery and then the two dui's in 2011 and 2012 kron four learned both of those happened in sacramento. he is back in court in a few weeks to enter a plea. terisa estacio kron 4 news. (robin)happening now ... police in the east bay are searching for three people who robbed a home in piedmont. it happened at a home on oakland avenue last month, but police just released this video. one homeowner was approached by an armed man who stole his cell phone. two other robbers came into the home and pointed a gun at the other homeowner demanding valuables. both victims have minor injuries, but are expected to be okay. the thieves made off with cash, electronics and other valuables. fremont are looking for a man who stole a landscaper's truck. it happened wednesday afternoon around 2-45 on caren street. the landscaper was about to mow a lawn when a man asked him if he had water. after giving him the water...the man slapped the landscaper and stole his truck. the truck is described as a 1991 toyota tacoma with a white tool box inside. it has the license plate number of 4-g-3-6-6-0-3. (robin) happening today... caltrain will unveil its holiday train. the train will be on display this morning but will not be on the tracks until tomorrow. it will feature 70-thousand lights. and will visit 9 caltrain stations between san francisco and santa clara on saturday and sunday. they will be providing holiday entetainment and collecting toys for less fortunate families. (robin)happening today ... tickets go on sale for another relief concert for victims of the north bay firestorm. this time-- the red hot chili peppers are going to headline.

the concert is being put on by "band together bay area" they are the same organizers who put on the concert earlier at at&t park... with metallica headlining. the concert will be on december 14th at the bill graham civic auditorium in san francisco. tickets cost 100-dollars and go on sale at 10 o'clock this morning on ticketmaster.c om. the concert last month raised 17-million dollars. (robin) another big story this morning ... a judge has ruled that students at albany high school were suspended ... for liking or commenting on racist images posted on another student's instagram account. a group of students sued the school claiming their first amendment rights were violated.an attorney for one of the students argued "liking" an image does not necessarily express approval. the

(robin)the sonoma county sheriff's office has named the remaining two unidentified people killed in the north bay firestorm.. they are 56- year-old karen sue aycock... and 47-year-old tamara latrice thomas. both were found in the coffey park area of santa rosa ... d-n-a analaysis was used to identify their remains. 24 people died in sonoma county during the firestorm ... a total of 44 people were killed in the northern california wildfires.

rideshare we're going to hold you to a little bit of a higher standard on top of that we appreaceate honesty so don't tell me your going to oakland when i can easily ask your passenger and he can tell me your heading to san francisco we don't like people who lie then there was this motorcycle rider with passenger, they were also caught on the flyover but the driver was missing something rather important you just rode thought the fast track lanes but you don't have any license plates the driver was also missing a transponder with is required to used any fastrak lanethen something happened, apparently rider was sitting on something oh you have the plates on you and just like that the rider removed the dealer paper plates and installed the license plate which just happened to have the registration sticker attached funny how thaqt works let's hear how this one plays out you're not even allowed to be in that lane i found you in the first place so this is citation i'm citing you for toll evasion ok toll evasion not paying the toll because you don't have a fast track and the license plates weren't on your car the end oh wait i almost forgot the fine for the carpool violation will set you back close to 500 dollars and the toll evasion is 238 dollars but there are no points associated with either

(robin) the nation's largest retailer, walmart, has removed a t-shirt from its website that appears to threaten journalists. the shirt says "rope. tree. journalist. some assembly required." the radio television digital news association says it brought the apparel to walmart's attention in a letter. it believes the shirt would "openly encourage violence targeting journalists." according to the nonprofit organization, within hours of sending the letter ... walmart had removed the shirt from its site. passenger complaints .... regarding racially biased treatment. the airline made the announcement yesterday after a meeting between c-e-o doug parker and n-a-a-c-p president derrick johnson in dallas. the civil rights group issued a travel advisory in october, warning african- americans they could face discrimination flying with the airline. american pledged to hire an outside firm to review its diversity in hiring and promotion, and create a special team to review discrimination complaints. reached the verdict yesterday afternoon. garcia zarate was charged with murder, assault with a deadly weapon and being a felon in possession of a gun. ( darya ) the jury found him guilty of the gun possession charge but not guilty on all other counts. steinle was walking on pier 14 with her father and a family friend when she was struck in the back by a single bullet that had ricocheted off the pier before it hit her.( james ) the prosecution argued the shooting was a deliberate act, while the defense attorneys described it as an accident. the jury sided with the defense. garcia zarate had been deported 5 times and was wanted for a 6th deportation when steinle was shot.( darya ) garcia zarate says he found the gun on the pier. the gun had been stolen from a bureau of land management officer's car. garcia zarate will be sentenced for the gun

over the thanksgiving holiday weekend... is being held on four million dollars bail. fred lowe was in court yesterday for the first time since the fatal accident on i- 80 in san pablo. the napa valley family was coming home from a basketball game. c-h-p says lowe was driving under the influence when he hit the family's car. lowe has a criminal history including charges for robbery and two dui's in 20-11 and 20-12 he is now facing four counts of murder plus hit and run charges. ( james ) in the north bay... theonoma county sheriff's office has named the remaining two people killed in the north bay firestorm.. they are 56-year-old karen sue aycock... and 47-year-old tamara latrice thomas. both were found in the coffey park area of santa rosa ... d-n-a was used to identify their remains. 24 people died in sonoma county during the firestorm. a total of 44 people were killed in the northern california wildfires. ( james ) this moring we continue to follow the fallout of the not guilty verdict reached by the jury in the trial of jose garcia zarate.( darya ) he was acquitted in the murder of kate steinle in san francisco. the jury reached the verdict yesterday afternoon. garcia zarate was charged with murder, assault with a deadly weapon and being a felon in possession of a gun. ( james ) the jury found him guilty of the gun possession charge but not guilty on all other counts. steinle was walking on pier 14 with her father and a family friend when she was struck in the back by a single bullet that had ricocheted off the pier before it hit her.( darya ) the prosecution argued the shooting was a deliberate act, while the defense attorneys

described it as an accident. the jury sided with the defense. garcia zarate had been deported 5 times and was wanted for a 6th deportation when steinle was shot.( james ) garcia zarate says he found the gun on the pier. the gun had been stolen from a bureau of land management officer's car. garcia zarate will be sentenced for the gun possesion charge on december 14. he could face up to three years in prison. u.s. immigration u.s. immigration officials say they will deport garcia zarate again after he finishes his sentence. ( james ) this moring we continue to follow the fallout of the not guilty verdict reached by the jury in the trial of jose garcia zarate.( darya ) he was acquitted in the murder of kate steinle in san francisco. the jury reached the verdict yesterday afternoon. garcia zarate was charged with murder, assault with a deadly weapon and being a felon in possession of a gun. ( james ) the jury found him guilty of the gun possession charge but not guilty on all other counts. steinle was walking on pier 14 with her father and a family friend when she was struck in the back by a single bullet that had ricocheted off the pier before it hit her.( darya ) the prosecution argued the shooting was a deliberate act,

while the defense attorneys described it as an accident. the jury sided with the defense. garcia zarate had been deported 5 times and was wanted for a 6th deportation when steinle was shot.( james ) garcia zarate says he found the gun on the pier. the gun had been stolen from a bureau of land management officer's car. garcia zarate will be sentenced for the gun possesion charge on he could face up to three years in prison. u.s. immigration they will deport garcia after he finishes his ( james ) we are also hearing from the family of kate steinle about the verdict. steinle's brother released a statement to kron 4 saying quote: "the system failed kate on all levels. the verdict has not effected our family much. we're glad all of this is over and we can remember kate.. embrace her memory on our terms."

( darya ) in the east bay... a judge has ruled that students at albany high school were áproperly suspended... for liking or commenting on racist images... posted on another student's instagram account. some of the images included nooses drawn around the necks of a black student and a coach. a group of students sued the school claiming their first amendment rights were violated. an attorney for one of the students argued "liking" an image does not necessarily express approval. the judge said the students contributed to disruption at the school. ( james ) five people are recovering this morning after being injured in a fire at a senior apartment building in san francisco's mission dolores neighborhood. the fire started on 15th street yesterday afternoon. none of the injuries are considered life threatening. by a car in santa rosa. it happened yesterday morning near peterson lane and guerneville road. police have not released much information about the crash. the boy was taken to the hospital... but there is no word on his condition this morning. police did not say what happened to the driver. ( james ) another big story we are following... a bay area man charged with child pornography has pleaded not guilty. matthew coda was arrested at s-f-o while returning from his thanksgiving holiday. coda and his wife were in the process of adopting a child. coda told his wife that he had a prior record for possession of child porn. police say his wife had a friend look at coda's computer and the friend found more than 3-thousand child porn images. ( darya ) oakland mayor libby schaaf has announced the city's first "tuff shed shelters" .... designed to help provide housing to the homeless. about twenty
