following... today marks one year since the deadly oakland ghost ship warehouse fire. 36 - people died when flames erupted at a party inside the illegally converted warehouse.. now one father has made it his mission to help prevent a tragedy like the one that claimed the life of his son. kron4's hermela aregawi talked to the dad who is helping artists find safe and affordable housing. jonathan bernbaum was a visual projection artist that traveled the world doing what he loved. the 34 year old was at the ghostship warehouse that dreadful night to support

morning... the senate narrowly passed a republican tax reform bill early this morning. the vote was mostly along party lines with 51 in favor of the bill and 49 against it. tennessee senator bob corker was the only republican to vote against the bill. he says he is concerned about raising the deficit. the house approved its own tax reform plan last month. now the two houses are expected to meet to reconcile both bills. ( marty ) president trump tweeting the following regarding the bill. ( marty ) salon employees in concord spent hours working on the nails of a group of customers. they were pepper sprayed by the group who took off without paying. surveillence videos caught their faces on camera and police are now looking for the four suspects. kron 4's ella sogomonian has the four so-called customes walked into ruby's nail salon in concord for the works thursday night.these three women got 200 dollars worth of a full set of nails including rhinestones while this guy got a pedicure. after two hours of work the nail technicians turned around then the group dashed out the door. sot: thao pam, nail technician// "actually they want to do everything they don't pay money that's why they don't care how much we charge."the employees ran out after them but were pepper sprayed by the suspects.an ambulance was called out to help calm the burn.the group is said to all be about 20 years old.one victim says they have a long life ahead of them

killed when a fast moving fire ripped through the oakland ghost ship warehouse. and today, one year later, officials say they have not determined an official cause. kron 4's steve aveson has more. a night of unstoppable flames and lives, neelessly lost. kron-4's charles clifford has more on this bizarre case. according to the san francisco police department, around 1030 friday morning the driver of a white california lottery van was carjacked in the 1800 block of 23rd street. the female driver of the van was assaulted and sustained non life threatening injuries. a second vehicle, a gold colored suv, was also seen in the area. a short time later, police spotted the white van and the suv traveling together in san francisco's bayview district. sfpd sgt. michael andraychak explains what happened next.sotone group of officers stope the gold suv and multiple suspects were detained. the suspect in the white lottery van continued into the alice griffith housing projects. the suspect exited the vehicle and an

officer involve shooting occurred. that suspect was transported to san francisco general where he was pronounced deceased.police says that no officers were injured in this shooting but it's unclear what may have motivated them to use deadly force against the driver of the stolen van. the officers involved in the shooting were wearing body cameras at the time. sfpd says those cameras have been secured and the video will be reviewed by investigators. as with any officers involved shooting, multiple investigations have now begun.so far, the identities of those involved have not been released. nor is it clear yet what. . if any. . .charges the men who were detained may be facing. finally, as with an officer involve shooting in san francisco, the police department says they will will hold a town hall meeting within the next ten days. coming up... the weekend is here which means new movie releases. what you can expect to see at the box office.
