(vicki) breaking news we are following out of southern california... at least two people are dead...including the gunman....after a shooting at a business in long beach. here are aerials from the scene... police first received reports of a shooter at around 2:25 this afternoon at a law office building. it is being investigated as a murder. at least one other person was shot...but they are expected to be okay. (grant) a teenager was stabbed and killed near two schools in san jose...marking the second homicide in the

city in just over 24 hours. police have not made any arrests. in the most recent incident.... a 17-year-old boy was stabbed just before midnight last night. it happened near the corner of e san antonio street and south sunset avenue...that is just blocks from cesar chavez elementary school and lee mathson middle school. police are investigating the motive...and have not yet released any information about the attacker. and on wednesday... a man was shot and killed on van winkle lane.... that incident also happened right near the elementary school -- aptitude community academy. no information has been released about the suspect in that case. (vicki) the f-b-i says they have captured the man known as the "orange goatee bandit." investigators say he targeted two banks in fremont and millbrae earlier this month. he was arrested in colorado... accused of committing similar crimes in that state. the f-b-i says that tips from the public helped them track the man down (grant) the good holiday vibes for two east bay businesses were wiped out... after returning to their

offices tuesday only to find out that they had been burglarized on christmas eve. (vicki) kron four's philippe djegal reports from san ramon... and, shares surviellance video of the thief. (philippe)max schlienger/nats- "first thing he did, was jam the door open there. he was caught by the camera down here thankfully." max schlienger (shh-ling-err) says the brazen theif spent at least 20 minutes alone in his office. this surviellance video confirms the burglary happened in the afternoon on christmas eve,max schlienger/pink java- "everybody was out together with their families and friends -- hopefully trying to celebrate the holiday, and then here's this guy, breaking in and taking what he wants." schlienger (shh-ling-err) is a senior producer for the media development company, pink java. his suite is located at bishop ranch in san ramon. he says the thief doesn't look familiar to him or his co-workers. it appears the burglar worked alone and got away with about 30-thousand dollars worth of computers, other electronics and cash.max schlienger/pink java- "and, it almost seemed like he knew what he was looking for -- he was very familiar with the layout. he came in. just strolled in like he owned the place, and i mean, again, it leaves you feeling a bit disconcerted." pink java reported the crime to police. so did m-p

singh at federal solutions group next door. singh believes the same man stole more than five thousand dollars worth of computers from his office on the same day.m.p. singh/federal solutions group- "when we go home in the evening, we don't know whether we come back tomorrow, we'll have our belongings here or not. so, we've started taking all our electronics, especially the laptops, back home now. because we don't feel safe any more here." both businesses confirm the suspect forced his way into their offices, but the same cannot be said about the main entrance to the building. it's possible he was he had a key, or slipped in when the doors were unlocked. the victims are still working with the building's management and police to figure out how all of this happened. in san ramon, philippe djegal, kron four news. eight last night on newcomb avenue. there officers say the man was walking to his car...when a person punched him... and he lost consciousness. the suspect took the man's keys...got into his car with another suspect... and the duo sped west on newbomb avenue..until they crashed on phelps street...near city college of san francisco. the suspects ran from the crash. the victim suffered minor injuries..and will be ok. the suspects however...remain at large. (grant) and police are looking for suspects in connection with a robbery in san rafael. it happened around eight last night on mill and hoag streets. witnesses could hear the sound of gunshots in the area. once at the scene ...officers found a victim... who had been robbed of his cellphone and jacket. two suspects robbed the man at gunpoint...and actually shot at the victim at least twice. luckily the shooter missed...and the victim is okay. the suspects involved...are at large tonight. monterey county died from the flu...and health officials are saying that california is seeing higher than usual flu activity. at least 11 people younger than 65 have died this year following yesterday's death. the state does not track flu-related deaths for people 65 and older. health officials say the flu has the highest risk of severe complications for the elderly, children under five, pregnant women and people with pre-existing conditions. officials recommend everyone over six months-old should get flu vaccines.

(vicki) a toddler bed is being recalled after reports that it can collapse and entrap a child. it invovles the the land of nod's nook" toddler beds...sold between may 20-15 to september of 20-17. officials say the headboard can disconnect from the bed frame and fall onto the bed and possibly trap the child. there have been four reports of the headboard disconnecting and falling...including one that fell on a child. no injuries have been reported.

fan in phoenix that needed a prosthetic hand received a very special gift this holiday season jacob was born with just a thumb and partial fingers on his right hand, making it hard for the 5- year-old to grip a baseball bat. a local non-profit built him a prosthesis, but it's no ordinary prosthetic hand. they made him a storm trooper hand, playing off his favorite movie.. star wars. most insurances wont cover prosthetics for kids because they grow out of them too fast. and that's when the group stepped into help. the new year's day rose parade in pasadena is coming up....one of the favorite holiday events...
