handful of dispensaries that received a state premier to sell recreational marijuana. that means that for a year these locations will be able to sell a small amount of weed but only to adults and only to be smoked at home or at approved spaces. take vo the sale of cannabis in california has been legal since the first of the year but it took san francisco dispensaries about a week to fully prepare for recreational weed. people interested in getting marijuana will be able to purchase 1 ounce of recreational cannabis or 8 grams of concentrated cannabis. keep in mind that it cannot be smoked in public, near schools, or inside most buildings including bars and restaurants. all of this is generating different reactions from residents in san francisco. take sot camila another important detail is that you cannot drive under the influence of marijuana. you also can't have an open container of weed in your car. it has to be in a sealed

being held by immigration officials in southern california. authorities say the 20-year old violated his visa. the man's lawyer says he just made a wrong turn. kron4's hermela argawi has the details. there is an outpouring of support for luis mora. he is ajunior transfer student here at uc berkeley. his lawyer says over the weekend.. he and his girlfriend were pulled over in jumal.. just 30 minutes from the u.s. mexico border. his lawyer says he was detained by ice for no reason.. except that he was honest about his immigration status.tonight.. 20 year old luis mora is in ice custody after being detained on saturday.they wouldn't let him have access to any counsel. access to any relatives. they wouldn't even give him a pen to write down my phone number. he was called many kinds of disparaging names. he's a bright young man hes pretty resourceful by himself so he sort of knew that his detention at cpb was illegal

( marty ) acting san francisco mayor london breed has filed the necessary paperwork to run for mayor of san francisco. breed announced on twitter yesterday that she will run for mayor. she was appointed to the position last month after ed lee's sudden passing. other candidates include san francisco supervisor jane kim, former state senator mark leno, and former supervisor angela alioto. a special election is set for june. ( marty ) last week in kansas a "swatting" incident led to police killing an unarmed innocent man. now an east bay family says they feared for their lives. this after police showed up at their door late at night in a similar swatting incident. "swatting" is when someone calls 911 and pretends a hostage situation is taking place at a random address. that leads swat teams to storm a house and disrupt innocent unknowing people. kron 4's

( marty ) another big story we are following... we are learning about even more flu deaths in the bay area. the contra costa county health department says there have been four flu-related deaths in that county. they happened between october first and january 4th. and in santa clara county... four people have died from the flu since november. county officials say, the number of people visiting emergency rooms for flu-like symptoms is up 60-percent. one of those had not received this year's vaccine and suffered from other health problems that placed them at greater risk. regardless of its overall effectiveness, health officials say, the h-3 vaccine should render the flu less severe. and it is not too late to get a flu shot to protect yourself for this current flu season. northern california community of auburn are upset after their homeowners association told them they need to keep their garages open during the day. ken mashinchi spoke with residents about how they are handling this new rule which they believe puts them at risk to be robbed. nine year old jason is concerned.. jason, family lives at auburn greensi'm still worried a little. i'm still a little worried because i just think it's all going to get stolen you know?this sheet of paper is the cause for the concern, a list left earlier this week by the homeowners association of auburn greens that mandates leaving garage doors up from 8 to 4 monday through friday.. jasoni don't think it's a good idea because they are going to steal my bike, i've got an electric scooter, an electric wheelchair. i've got all kinds of stuff. so i just don't think it's very good to have it open.for every home like jason's that is following the new rule, there are plenty others that are not, like shally ia.. shally ia, lived at auburn greens for a yeari have nothing to hide. i understand that somebody had someone living in the garage.

( marty ) a u-c berkeley student is being held by immigration officials in southern california. authorities say the 20-year old violated his visa. the man's lawyer says he just made a wrong turn. kron4's hermela argawi has the details. there is an outpouring of support for luis mora. he is ajunior transfer student here at uc berkeley. his lawyer says over the weekend.. he and his girlfriend were pulled over in jumal.. just 30 minutes from the u.s. mexico border. his lawyer says he was detained by ice for no reason.. except that he was honest about his immigration status.tonight.. 20 year old luis mora is in ice custody after being detained on saturday.they wouldn't let him have access to any counsel. access to any relatives. they wouldn't even give him a pen to write down my phone number. he was called many kinds of disparaging names. he's a bright young man hes pretty resourceful by himself so he sort of knew that his detention at cpb was illegal and filed a complaint while he was there and sort of hussled things alongmora's lawyer says he and his mom came to the u.s. on a visa when mora was 11 years old. his mother came to california for cancer treatment.he didn't know at the time that's why he was brought here. she enrolled him in middle school to ensure that he could have a better

( marty ) last week in kansas a "swatting" incident led to police killing an unarmed innocent man. now an east bay family says they feared for their lives. this after police showed up at their door late at night in a similar swatting incident. bay... coaches and pro baseball players put on a clinic for young players who were affected by the wildfires in santa rosa. take a look. you can see dozens of kids working on their swings and fundamentals. however this was more than just a baseball clinic, it was a fundraiser to help those young ball players who lost everything in the north bay firestorm. every child who was displaced by the flames recieved brand new baseball gear. they also received tips from the oakland a's marcus semien. semien says he's not done giving back yet.
